Before entering the classroom you'll see a big parchment sign next to the door in curvy noticeable letters that reads:
Task before entering the History of Magic Classroom:
Located next to the door is large rack of costumes, a variety of hats and masks as well as dress up make up and accessories like glasses and bags. Your task is to choose a costume and/or a mask from the rack and dress up as your favourite witch or wizard from magical history. (no creatures please, otherwise no limits.)
After you put on that costume, fixed that mask, adjusted your hat askew or added that last bit of eye-shadow so you look like the author Bathilda Bagshot or someone else famous from magical history then head into the classroom. Once fully inside you'll see rows up on rows of desks in pairs of three in a slightly misaligned order that leads up to the professor desk as well as the black board and on the wall to the left of the blackboard a large floor to ceiling book case. The air you feel is slightly on the crisp and icey side in the classroom even though warming spells are in place. A consequence of the winter weather and the fact that you are taught by a ghost.
Professor Helena is sitting on the edge of her desk, waiting for her students to arrive.

Having to carry someone on their shoulders and list off a bunch of people that really didn't matter much was hard work. All she had to do was throw out some names and stand there.
And another job of hers was apparently holding his candy bag ransom. Ugh. So that was how she was going to be. Lame. Like they actually needed the satisfaction of crossing that finish line. Wasn't the candy they had good enough? She could've just jumped off, hand over the candy, and be done. But no. The Slytherin had to make things more difficult than they really had to be.
But the blond started moving his feet again and worked his way up to a sprint, not caring if Brooklyn managed to balance herself on his shoulders or not. This half of the giant was ready to be done. He was ready to devour some candy and not have anyone standing on his nagging shoulders any longer.
They were now about a quarter of the way there ... then halfway ... three-quarters ... the finish line was only a few inches away ... AND THE LINE HAD BEEN CROSSED!
"Oh, thank Merlin!" Frankie purposefully moved his body in a way that surely would have made the girl lose her balance and fall to the floor if he was lucky. It was time to get off of his shoulders. No more freeloading. They successfully completed the activity and managed to do it without murdering each other. "You're welcome. Now, hand over my candy," he said with a held out his hand, waiting with full intentions of going to the opposite side of the room to enjoy his goodies in peace.
Well, she hadn’t expected him to sprint to the finish line. Although, Brooklyn was proud of herself for adjusting just enough that she stayed on his shoulders the whole distance. Falling might have been problematic anyway, considering on one side she had the candy and the other there was the crystal vial in her pocket with the stuffed birds. But she was proud of herself either way, although she had honestly questioned if Frankie had been intentionally trying to knock her off. She wasn’t letting him accomplish that no matter how hard he tried. Besides, there was still the matter of the candy. She had it. He didn’t. That meant he had to be nice to her at least for as long as she chose to keep it.
As he’d tried throwing her off yet again, she neatly leaped to the side and landed on her feet, using her ballet skill to manage it at least mostly gracefully. It wasn’t exactly the best attempt, but she’d stayed on her feet. That was an accomplishment.
She’d sent him a look as he’d said she was welcome. As if she’d thanked him, when she didn’t have any reason to thank him. The Grey Lady had told him he had to carry her. It wasn’t as if she had asked. Therefore, she didn’t need to thank him. She was tempted to just walk off at that, but instead, she tilted her head slightly to one side to watch him. And his hand, which she fully expected to try and reach for her pocket at any moment. “What do I get for giving you the candy?,” she asked instead, her hand in her pocket just as an added precaution. She didn’t see any reason to make it easy, not when he’d tried to toss her to the floor like a sack of potatoes seconds earlier.

Angel looked at her friend as she took off her shoes. "I'd best put these somewhere safe otherwise who knows what might happen to them." Angel didn't want anything happening to her shoes. "This is going to be so cool Candice." Angel couldn't wait for the next part of the course.
Angel stood on her friends shoulder after getting onto the table. "Okay I'm on now, try not to make me fall." Angel wouldn't want to try and learn how to fly like a proper Angel, though saying that it could be so fun.
"Yeah that's a good idea." You don't want to go bare foot after class because you forget where you put your shoes. That would be horrible. Did Angel said that its going to be so cool? "We're really gonna have to work on your definition of cool." Because carrying someone who has the same weight as you in your shoulder was not cool. Not at all.
Candice was ready. Well, as ready as she ever be. "I'll try." But no promise there. She could feel it, the EXTRA weight in her shoulder as soon as Angel hop on her shoulder. "Here we go." Carefully she walked towards where the Professor Ghost Lady put the candy. But its HARD. Like really HARD. Why did she come to class today again? She shouldn't have stayed in her dorm instead of carrying Angel in her shoulder towards the candy. Candice really tried to move her legs but its difficult with the extra weight in her shoulder. She hoped Angel was okay up there. And her shoulder started to ache. She need a really long hot bath or a massage after this lesson.
They finally arrived at their fist basket. Its wasn't a smooth ride. Its wobbly at first. More like wobbly all the way but Thank Merlin she still could managed her balance. All thanks to that skateboard lesson from Colt. "Okay....We...are...here..." What were they supposed to do again? OH! Right. Name. "Do...you...have....the....names?"Please tell me you do, Angel. Because she couldn't think of anything right now. All she could think was the extra weight in her shoulder.

Angel was trying not to giggle as Candice moved around. "I feel like an Angel on the top of a Christmas Tree at the minute." Angel really did, though this was nice, she was glad she was doing this with someone like Candice who was just super cool anyway now what was she supposed to be doing.
Angel was trying to figure out if this had been such a good idea, her friend seemed to be hurting a bit and she didn't like that, she hated upsetting friends or making them hurt. "You okay Candice? I can jump off any time you say I'm a Hogwartian get me out of here." Angel though she would just try and make her friend laugh.
Angel then heard the next thing and she smiled. "For Hogwarts Headteacher, there's Severus Snape, Albus Dumbledore, Deloris Umbridge, Minerva McGonagall, Gaellen Tate." Angel thought that would do right, she wasn't sure if a few of them were right but she thought she would guess with a couple. "I think they are right Candice." Angel was trying to figure out what was next.

SPOILER!!: Phillip!
Phillip KNEW she couldn't say no to this face.
"Excellent!" he said, the beam staying in place, "I hope you know a lot about the history of Hogwarts." He wasn't going to let on that he hardly knew much about the history of the school. Had he read textbooks over the summer? No! Not when there were trees to climb and sisters to annoy.
"Yeah! We're going to WIN this." Was this a competition? No? Well, he was going to MAKE it into one. Just because it was more fun that way. "Do you think you can bend down so that I can stand on your shoulders?" Sweet smile for you, lady.
And how OLD was she? She didn't look like she was much older than him. In fact, the boy wouldn't be surprised if she was in his year or the year above. And if THAT was the case and she didn't know much..........
................ uh, he'll think about that when they reached that bump in the road.
All these firsties were happy little buggers this term. Not that it was a bad thing at all. Hady smirked as she looked at him. "I know a fair deal," she replied simply. The textbooks were always read once, twice...maybe more. Who was really to say just how many times she had read the information inside of a Hogwarts textbook?
"Don't you worry about it little dude cause we got this!" Hady informed him calmly. She would handle as much of it as she could. Well at least she'd attempt to if her focuse wasn't so much on keeping him up and not dropping the poor kid. Sure she was strong from dancing and all that jazz but she was still about only his size. Anyhow she knelt down on one knee and lowered her head. "Up you go then, let me know when you're steady and ready to get moving." Hady wasn't about to rush this to fast and knock them both down. Speed could be added once they were sure she could hold him up.

Hur hur. Benny had jokes. Adi wanted to laugh heartily at that comment about his sugar crazed self but didnt want to take the chance of making Benny loose his balance. One candy bag in each of his stucked out hands, Adi enjoyed the high up view for one last time as Benny began making his way towards the finish line. Woot! They were almost there! All they had to do was ensure they didn't fall... At least not until they were both over that line.
"Almost there!" Adi said. "Come on, Dragon!" Wheeee! It was almost time to get his teeth sunk into those sweets. Benny just needed to take a few more giant steps to cross that line first.
Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - ❄ Lunar Library Lurker ❄ - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror
Benny was too busy concentrating on moving and them both staying upright to chance the look up at his friend again. Besides it was an awkward angle anyway. It wasn't like he didn't know his bestie, know how excited the badger was for the foodstuffs, or the fact that they were doing really good in this classroom competition. He hadn't seen anyone cross his peripheral vision.
And then there was the excited words of encouragement that the Gryffindor was using to his advantage. One step...and another...and another. His pace unconsciously increasing a bit as they got closer and closer to the finish line. And then they were over it and Benny slowed to a stop.

At one particular time, Adi almost fell off Benny's shoulder. Yup. Remember that part where his friend sped up as the approached the finish line? Well, it happened right there and after a second of his heart nearly jumping out of his chest and a bit of flailing, he managed to keep his balance. So, you could say he was kind of releived to be getting down now.
"We made it!'' Had they even crossed first? Adi didn't know nor did he particularly care. He just wanted to take a peek into his bag to see what goodies awaited. He waited until his friend was standing completely still (didn't want to over balance him) before carefully descending from his shoulders. "Here you go.'' Adi was holding out Benny's sweet bag which probably contained no sours. Woops.

She slipped her shoes off her feet, suddenly regretting the fact that she'd neglected to match her socks today, and climbed onto the desk so she'd be tall enough to climb onto Tia's shoulders. "Here I go!" She gingerly reached out one foot and winced slightly as she put pressure on the Ravenclaw's shoulder. "You okay?" She couldn't just hurt Tia, it'd be a disaster. Norah put her other foot on the other shoulder and crouched down, not sure she could stand up without falling right over. "Er..."
Oh good, Norah was down for the idea of alternating between who stands on who's shoulders. Cause she was going to have a hard time focusing on naming headmasters and former professors while balancing a kid on her shoulders. Except Norah wasn't really a kid; she was the same age almost as herself. "Glendower." There's one for the former professors. Four more to go.
And there was the weight of a fifth year on her shoulders; fortunately Norah wasn't too heavy but still, she felt it felt herself slightly unstable while holding her for just a moment while she adjusted. Walk slowly, she told herself. Slow and steady. "Uh huh..." Tia said, though her voice was slightly shaky. And she took a step forward, all while holding Norah's ankles to hold her firmly to her shoulders. Hopefully Norah had good enough balance to stand up straight enough to get to one candy bag.

While taking baby steps across the room towards the first basket Tia heard someone else call out for a partner and after another few steps, it seemed as though everyone was already partnered up?
"You can maybe join us, if you want, Caleb? Be a group of three?" Tia offered, her voice still shaky. It'd probably be a good help having three in their group since it was quite strenuous holding someone on your shoulders.

In this postion, she was more like a half-giant than a true giant, but maybe they could make it work. She would just have to straighten up to reach the candy bag when the time came. Janelle locked fingers with the Prefect, as he began to walk.
When Benzi suggested that Janelle start naming names, she became a little worried. She knew some Headmasters, but the History of Magic professors were another story. Moving along nicely, they approached the first candy bag. Janelle began to recite the names she knew. "OK, I'll start with the Headmasters. Anastasia Truebridge, Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape, Minerva McGonagall and Phineas Nigellus Black. There. Now it's your turn." Janelle was dreading the thought of naming History of Magic professors. Hopefully she could remember some of the information she'd read.
Holding her hands was definitely the way to go, Benzi decided as they slowly made their way across the room. He was confident that if she lost balance he could definitely catch her or just hold on tightly and prevent her head from hitting the ground which is really all that mattered. All his training in the DADA rooms had given him very fast reflexes and he had never been happier about it than now.
"Good going! I'll do headmasters too. Abraham Botros, Gaellen Tate, er.. Does Umbridge count? Dolores Umbridge if she counts, Brian Gagwilde, Armando Dippet and Vindictus Viridian if Umbridge doesn't count," Benzi listed off, doing his best to focus on not letting Janelle fall while he tried to recall all the names that he knew.
Thank you Mother for being a history nerd and talking his ear off about Hogwarts. He'd never have remembered otherwise. "You doing okay up there?"

Anyways THANK MERLIN! They had made it over to the end of the line rather quickly and now it was time for the real hard part. Erm.
Zander Adair was thankful as anything when Rooney asked that he went first. PHEW. Didn't want to admit it out loud or anything, but the Head Boy hadn't shown up to class with all of these facts memorized. Er. "Yeah, right... Sure."
Zander took a moment to think before, AHA! "Truebridge," she was former. Truly she counted. Um. And this is the moment in his life where he had to praise Merlin for that chocolate card collection of his. The only reason he knew how to add more names to the list. THANK MERLIN FOR CHOCOLATE. Speaking of which, it's a good thing that Toddles had returned all his cards because there were some headmasters in those. Heh.
"Dumbledore," he continued, now thinking very hard about his card collection. "Er.... Dippet?" He had four of those ones. There were more on the frog cards. He was sure. Thinking as hard as he could now... Erm.... Uhhhh... "Scamander?" How many was that?... Four. He needed one more. Of course.
UM. History. He had read Neville's biography on account of Flamsteed. There must've been something mentioned in there. The bloke had to fight off evil in his last year... There were a whole bunch of chapters on that. He was at Hogwarts... But Harry Potter wasn't... So he had to handle everything on his own.... To fight against... "Snape?" That sounded about right. Or something.
But as for the former History of Magic Professors, he only knew three. The three that he had whilst at Hogwarts. Er. "For the history Professors... Glendower... McCormack.... and Dursley..... And erm.... That's all I've got." What? No one told him he had to come prepared with this stuff for class.
Did that mean they were going to fail the activity?
Rooney wanted, with every part of him, to forget that today had even happened. First, he thought that he was doing a brilliant job by dressing as Leonard Spencer-Moon and striving to be just like him, but now he was holding his sweaty hands on the egotistical hands of the Head Buttface of Hogwarts. He listened carefully to the names that Zander was reeling off and fought the urge to roll his eyes and the simplicity of it all. Truebridge, right. Dumbledore, also right. Dippet, correct. Scamander? The Ravenclaw narrowed his eyes and blinked. ”Scamander, seriously? Have you ever properly read about this school?” Or had he just read their textbooks? Head Idiot.
Snape worked though, sure. ”You need one more Head of School. McGonagall was, if you had forgotten that.”
He bet that Mrs Zander Adair would say he hadn’t forgotten, even though Roo knew that he had. KNEW.
…… Three, seriously? SERIOUSLY?
”You can have Binns and Borr.” He’d at least let him have those in case Miss Sophie Brown was listening in and wanted to hear her boyfriend be somewhat smart. That would be a hard thing for Zander to do alone, because he wasn’t actually full of brain cells, so it seemed…
And then just to show him up, and prove that the second year was the one who should be the most important to Miss Sophie Brown, Rooney reeled off his lists starting with History of Magic Professors. ”Professor Noire, Professor Truebridge, Professor Lainey, Professor Welton and … Vinteren?” Maybe he did need to check up on Professors names and make sure he knew them so that by seventh year…he wasn’t as bad as Zander was at recalling the history of their education. Heads of school though, he was in tune with that perfectly. ”Umbridge, Black, Aragon, Fortescue and Mole.”

Norah unbent her knees slightly so her head was hovering slightly higher than it had been before. Oh man. Was Tia okay? "If you hurt a lot I bet it's okay if you rest, I'm sure the Gray Lady will understand." She had been alive at SOME point, after all. With her arms out for balance, she raised herself a little higher. "Tiberius Dursley," She gave a little wobble and straightened up again. "ProfessorBinnsandangelicaLainey." Norah didn't mean to steal Tia's opportunity to list names, but there was no telling how much longer she'd last up there. She was proud of that last one, too, which she'd only looked up in Hogwarts a History because it was cool to know who was the professor when you were born. And everybody knew about Professor Binns. It had seemed like a big deal that a ghost had taught a class, y'know, before this happened.
She tried to turn her head towards Caleb but threatened to wobble again so she turned quickly back to the front. "Yeah! You can definitely join." Prefects uniting 'n all that. Another awesome idea from Tia. Man, she was on a ROLL.
Angel was trying not to giggle as Candice moved around. "I feel like an Angel on the top of a Christmas Tree at the minute." Angel really did, though this was nice, she was glad she was doing this with someone like Candice who was just super cool anyway now what was she supposed to be doing.

Yes, well if she felt like she was an Angel on top of Christmas tree. Candice felt like she was carrying the Christmas tree itself. But she was not going to say that to her because talking while carrying your friend in your shoulder was a NOT an easy task.
Was she okay? Nope. She was definitely NOT okay. But she need to hold on for a few minutes then they could swap place.
Her shoulder felt numb now. She couldn't feel her shoulder at all. Thank Merlin her partner quickly provided the Headmaster/Headmistress names. Okay! Now its her turn. "Hogwarts Headmaster/Headmistress Armando Dippet, Phineas Nigellus Black, Quintin Trimble, Anastasia Truebridge, and Cassandra Rae-Branxton." Okay. That's 5 Headmaster/Headmistress each. "I think now we need 5 former Hogwarts history of magic professors each." Man! She didn't even eat candy for Merlin's sake! "I'll go first yeah?" Because she wanted this torture over as soon as possible. "Cuthbert Binns, Nessarose Glendower, Ethan Truebridge...." She need two more names. "Kyroh's dad. What's his name again?" Something Scabior? "OH! Everett Scabior!" Yes. okay one more. Come on, Candice, THINK! "Anjelica Lainey...." She got 5. "Your....turn....Angel..." Hurry! Get that names right and then get that candies!

Suck on that, Head Buttface.
"I swear to Merlin it said he was Headmaster on the back of his card," referring to chocolate frogs, of course. Or maybe it didn't. Honestly, Zander wasn't exactly sure at the moment... But he thought the class was supposed to be about giants, anyways! Would've come prepared with a list of Headmasters and Professors had he known it was gonna be asked for. Geez. He wasn't ever terrible at history or anything, but normally he didn't just pose as a walking textbook.
Rooney's sass was definitely unmerited, okay? At least Zander was trying.
McGonagall. Right. He had forgotten that. Also, it was hard trying to come up with these on the spot, okay!?! "Uh right, thanks." Binns and Borr. He'd never forget those now.
And then it was time for Rooney's go and Merlin the kid was good at memorizing names. But that's all this was, right? Just memorizing names? .... Didn't mean anything that Zander didn't have them memorized..... Riiight? Like, he wouldn't fail his NEWTs just because of something like this??? And now he was having his doubts. But er, they still weren't done with the activity were they? "Merlin, nice. You really know your stuff," he nodded. Despite the bit of sass earlier. Zander was willing to put that behind them, but only because Rooney was standing on top of his shoulders at the moment.

He started to walk up straight so Dot wouldn't have any trouble getting balanced but it was hard and trying to do it as fast as he could was harder. "You good? We are almost there" thanks Merlin. And everyone here was actually good at this. "Have you done gymnastics before?" because that would be a good explanation but better focus on the task. Finally Hugo reached the candy baskets, "Alright let's start with the names. Professors or headmasters?"
"I did gymnastics up until I started at Hogwarts, and I've done ballet since I was a little girl. Still do. I have excellent balance, but I never tried anything like this before." Dot was so relieved when they finally reached the other wall, and she was ready to snatch those bags of candy out of the basket and just truck it back across the room. If Hugo dropped her now, she didn't even think she'd care.
"Let's do both at the same time. I mean... as well as we can. History of Magic professors are easy enough. Two ghosts: Professor Binns and Professor Ravenclaw. Can we count the current one? And our last professor was Nessarose Glendower. So that's already three. Do you know any more?" She waggled her fingers at the baskets. "And Heads... Headmaster Botros, and Anastasia Truebridge who just left last term. And the one before her was... Gaellen Tate. Who was before him?"
Angel was a bit nervous about the whole situation, her friend wasn't doing very good at the minute and she was scared that she was going to go for a fall. "You can do it Candice, I know you can." Angel was going to cheer her friend.
"Great Job!!" Angel was totally happy about the answers her friend had come up with and now it was time for another five former History of Magic Professors. "Gemma Cerulean, Tiberius Winslow Dursley, Keredwel Noire, Lars D. Svensson , Imogen Welton." Angel was totally guessing with a few of these answers but she didn't really know about who had been in charge of the lesson.
Angel then went and grabbed the candy and now she had to figure something out, what was they going to do next. "What do we do now?" Angel would have looked down at her friend but now she couldn't at the minute.

Speed could be added once they were sure she could hold him up.
Phillip was starting to get curious about the smirking.
Was it a teenager thing to do? He wanted to ask, see if HE was meant to start practising already -- HE WAS GOING TO BE A TEENAGER NEXT YEAR -- but he held back. Didn't want to look DUMB, HELLO?! "Perfect!" Because it was.
Little dude? The Slytherin had mixed feelings about this one. He liked being called a dude because it made him feel COOL but on the other hand, he was little. A little version of a cool person. HM. "I knew I picked the right person." And with that, he started to clamber up onto her shoulders. Was it hard? YOU BET. It took a while for the first year to get his footing right on the girl's shoulder -- she was S M A L L -- even causing him to wobble a bit, but once he did, he managed to get the other foot right on target as well. See, this was like climbing a very very small tree. Kind of.
And then came the hard part: standing up straight.
Uh. Phillip bit down on his lip and wobbled some more -- don't fall, Romalotti, don't fall! -- as he slooooooooowly stood up straight. Holding onto her head helped a LOT so, thank you lady.
"Up, up and away!" he called, holding his arm out straight into the air as if he was holding a sword or a lightsaber.

Just don't drop him, okay?
Perfect? She thought it was too. At least she wasn't partnered up with someone that she wouldn't be able to carry at all. This worked out well for her. "Yep."
He knew he had picked the right person. Well of course he did, who didn't want to work with her?! She was awesome. "Glad you feel that way. So you mind being known as 'Little Dude' or shall I use your name?" Cause you know she was nice like that. Giving the kid choices and all. "I'm Hady by the way." In case he didn't remember that or even know. Most knew her as Zeke's friend or the girl with green streaks in her hair. Whatever really worked for them.
Kneeling down on one knee she rested a hand hand on her own knee and the other on the wall to keep herself steady. It took the boy awhile to get up onto his shoulders and she was about to ask if he was alright when she finally felt a hand resting on her head. Way to steady yourself kid! There was some wobbling going on but Hady kept a firm hand pressed to the wall. "Up we go!", she answered slowly rising to her feet doing her best not to wobble as she did. Rising up she slid her hand up the wall and her hand that had been on her knee moved upwards to grab the back on one of her partners ankles lightly to help support him. "You okay up there?"
And she was fully standing and she hadn't dropped him yet! Yes! "Here we go!," Hady warned Phillip moving her hand from the wall to hold his other ankle. Whoa!!!!!
This was a little awkward alright. Taking a small step forward then another testing her balance and his. When she was sure she could hold him up and he wasn't going to hit the floor the brunette continued forward with sure steps. "So can you name any former Professors or Headmasters?" See what this kid knew first before she added more to the list.

Yes, yes he did know his stuff.
Acknowledgement from the Head Boy was at least a positive in this whole pairing up thing, and Rooney would have punched the air, had he not been relying on his balance with everything he had. His life was at stake, it really was. "Stay balanced, please." He took one of his hands away then and reached up for two baskets, hooking one onto his thumb and the other onto his pinky finger.
Then he held onto the hand of the seventh year once more, making sure that he wouldn't drop their sweets. "Take us to the end so we can eat, Mrs. Zander Adair." Was he aware of Rooney's continuous use of Mrs in conversation with him?

Go Benzi go! He had reeled off his list of Headmasters like it was nothing. Janelle looked down at the top of his head in awe. "That was awesome Benzi" Now it was time for her to do her part. "I'm going to get the candy now so I'll need to let go for a minute." Releasing her partner's hands, Janelle slowly stood up. Even on Benzi's shoulder, she had to really reach for the candy bag. Stretching to her full height and then some, Janelle was able to pull the candy down. "Got it", she said.
Bending her legs again, Janelle reached down with one hand to hold onto Benzi's and kept the candy in her other hand. "OK, you can start walking now." Given her knowledge of History of Magic professors, Janelle thought that she'd better start naming them now. It might take a while. "I'm going to try to name some professors while you move on to the other candy bag." Oh boy. This was going to be a challenge.
Starting with the easy one first, Janelle said, "Professor Glendower". Thinking hard, Janelle added, "Oh, Professor Binns". Then she drew a blank and she still had three more to go. "Um ........Professor ........ McCormack." Then there was the one on the Board of Governors, what was his name. "Professor Vinteren", that was it. One more, Janelle needed one more name. Then it came to her. "Scabior, Professor Scabior" Kyroh's relative. She almost forgot about him. Thank Merlin she was able to come up with some names because it was definitely touch and go there for a while. Now all they needed was for Benzi to name five more and they would be good to go.

Oh good! People needed partners. Or so it seemed. Caleb would have preferred to NOT pair with Tia, since she was always so SASSY whenever he came around, but he was desperate.
"Do you wanna tag out and have me carry her?" he offered. Since that was all he really COULD do at this point. Plus he was the man in the group, it made sense to have him carry her, right? No offense to Tia and all maybe a little, but he was thinking that only because she had annoyed him so much recently...

...You know, it actually wasn't THAT bad. Sure, Soph grunted a little the moment the second foot joined and Ava's entire weight was now bearing down upon her, but all things considering, she didn't feel like she was going to DIE, at least. The weight distribution was pretty even, just as long as Ava didn't lean more to one side than the other, and sloooooowly but surely, Soph started to straighten out her back, slooooooooooowly raising Ava higher into the air, her hands still extended upward for Ava to hold for support.
"Is this okay? Y'doin' okay up there? M'gonna... start to go... reeeeeally, really slowly... if y'need me to stop so y'can catch your balance before you'll fall, just lemme know and I'll stop right away." Soph would also probably FEEL if Ava was starting to topple over, so... "I'll just go slow 'n steady. Very smoooothly..."
And so they went, with each and every one of Soph's steps very slow, careful, deliberate, and smooth as to not jostle Ava and throw off her balance. Luckily, Soph had pretty good balance herself AND good control of her body, so... there was no clumsy sort of nonsense happening here. No, this was good. Hopefully a niiiiice smooth ride for Ava.
Oh... and... "Err, I've got the last... eh, ten or so Headmasters and Headmistresses memorized, 'n I've had... three History of Magic professors, 'n... I know of two others for sure, so I've got our... names... in the bag... unless y'wanna... list off some... that you know?" If Ava knew some and wanted to contribute? "But if not, don't worry. Y'just... make sure you're... okay up there..."
Merlin. Walking, talking, and balancing a kid up on her shoulders was NOT AS EASY AS IT LOOKED.
Wobble wobble wobble...
Okay, Ava had to stand VERY STILL or she's gonna fall down to the ground and she didn't want to cause another older student were being accused on injured a firstie. She had caused Henric in trouble because she forced him to levitate her and it made her fell down ten feet tall and injured her left shoulder. Well, though for this lesson the Professor had charmed the floor but still... She didn't want to make Sophie ended as the same as Henric.
"I am fine, here." The young lioness said. "Okay, we can start walking now." And the Head girl walked VERY SLOWLY like she had a thousand pounds on her shoulder.... Well, SHE was on her shoulder but she's not thousand pounds weight. She's pretty small for a firstie and it's because a Burton girl had never grown properly. Ava was sure that her sister is even smaller than Sophie (who's very small too for a seventeen-year-old).
It's not really a good time to blame your gene, Burton. And seriously, for now you should be thankful for that.
Also, the Professors and Headmaster/Headmistress' name? Thankfully that she has a twin who had finished reading Hogwarts: A history even before they started going here so she knew... some. But maybe it was enough, right? "Okay, Sophie. I know some..." Ava said to her while they were struggling walking for the first basket. Okay, first basket here they come!!! "I'll start with the Headmaster first." Because it was the easiest. "Well uh... Anastasia Trubridge...." Davie's mom! Yeah, she knew about that. "And uh.... Albus Dumbledore, Cassandra Rae-Branxton, and... Minerva McGonagall?" Was she even a Headmistress? Ava forgot about that. "And the last one is.... Gaellen Tate! Okay Sophie, your turn!" Bet that she remembered more than her because 1. She's a Seventh year student so technically she experienced more and 2. She's a Ravenclaw, duh.

Benzi grinned up at the girl on his shoulders. "You try not remembering names when your mother talks about this stuff around the dinner table for fun," also he'd been studying, but blaming his mother seemed much more fun right now.
Regardless, all thoughts of history momentarily left his head as she let go of his hands and the prefect focused on staying very very still as she reached up for the candy bar. Grabbing onto one of her hands when she was done, he frowned when the other didn't come. "Stick the candy in your pocket and give me your other hand," he said, and wiggled that hand around as he very very very slowly started walking again.
Please don't fall please don't fall please don't fall. He was barely even listening to her rattle out the list of Professors but nodded when she'd apparently finished. "Great job," he said, and then realised it was his go. Reminding her about the hand she needed to give him with a little finger wiggle, Benzi thought back friday nights at the Rider household. And then tried to recall who Janelle had just said so that he wouldn't be repeating names.
"Right, History of Magic professors... There's Professor Helena obviously and Professor Dursley, who taught here when I was a first year..," he started, then went silent for a good thirty seconds as he focused on not running into another couple of students who were getting rather close to them. "Uh, I'm basically trying to remember who my mother talked about and go from there... So there was Professor Lainey? And Professor Truebridge who's Truebridge's husband, and there was a Professor Svensson. That's five right?" was that it? Could she grab the candy bar and get off now because his heart rate was up and he was nervous. If something startled him now Janelle would be toast.
He eyed the room carefully. No one better startle him now.

It was a relief that Ava seemed so cool and confident up there, balancing on Sophie's shoulders, because Sophie was NOT as cool and confident. Still, she continued to walk as smoooothly along as she could so she wouldn't accidentally jolt Ava off her shoulders and make her fall. They were NOT gonna let her fall off, nope. Soph was attuned entirely to Ava up there and the weight distribution on her shoulders to make SURE she wasn't tipped too far one way and she wasn't going to fall off.
They had this in the bag.
Ava knew some Headmasters and Headmistresses? That was very, very cute, and Soph listened to her list them off with a smile. "Yep, that was good! It was Tate before Truebridge, who was here last term, and then... before THEM it was... Reynard Bontecou, Cassandra Rae-Branxton like you said, yep," Sophie's HERO, "um... I know Mo and Vivi's dad, Doyle Branxton, was Headmaster for the Cooper's Wizard school back when Hogwarts was divided into boys and girls, but that probably doesn't count... then there was..." What had Hogwarts, A History said right before Rae's long reign? "Oh! Leiden, when the Ministry officials took over for a whole term... how many is that?" There was Ava's five, plus Bontecou and Leiden... "Seven, I think? Um. Then before that there were a few in a short amount of time... let's see... Draconia, Loryen, and... Kobus Hendrik. That should cover all the ones from the last, like... fifty years." Ish.
"Think that's ten, yeah?" It was harder to think about this all properly while she was focusing on the physical aspects here. "D'you know any past History of Magic professors?" Soph didn't expect her to at all, honestly, so she was already mentally preparing to have to work through this one all on her own as they kept moving along slooowly but surely.
Candice appreciate the support but it didn't help to ease the ache she felt on her shoulder.
"Thaa...nkss..." Okay now they already counted the 5 former HOM Professor and Headmaster/Headmistress. "Did you get the candy?" She looked up and saw Angel already grabbed the candy. "I think now we have to go to the finish line." And then they're done and they could enjoy the candy. Well, Angel could. She's not going to eat it. "Do you mind to switch? Because I think I can't walk anymore." She could feel her legs about to give up on her.

YOU GOT IT, SOPHIE BROWN! Ava didn't have any doubt with the Head Girl. Even though she's just a little bit taller and bigger than her, but she had such a good strength to support her. And for the questions, come on! The young lioness listened to Sophie's answer and explanation and she really rocked it!
So they had answer Truebridge, Dumbledore, Rae-Branxton, McGonagall, Tate, Bontecou, Branxton, Leiden, Draconia, Loryen and Kobus Hendrik. The young lioness counted it with her fingers that those were... eleven. "Yes, those are enough." And one bag of candies goes to their team! She clutched the candies on her hand CAREFULLY because she accidentally dropped it, maybe the snatchers would take them and that means.... no candies for them. Boo... "Time to walk again now! Go, Sophie! You can do it, Sophie!" Ava cheered her up. Maybe after this activity she had to give her a good massage on her shoulder.
The History of Magic professors? Well, this was hard.
"Well uh... I know Professor Glendower... She was here before the Grey Lady..." And Zhenny said that she's very nice. Too bad that she didn't teach her now. "And uh... the other ghost Professor... Binns?" And... "I don't know any other than the other two..." She said in sad tone.
