And there was no way to hold onto the bags AND hold on to Hugo, so Dot was forced to tug the bags inside her robes. Being alive at the finish line was sort of her main goal at this point. Candy was a very close second.
"We should head back. Go fast and I'll hold on tight."
Hugo gave her a thumbs up but he hardly could raise his arm because didn't want to lose balance. He waited for Dot to get the two candy bags down and hopefully she wouldn't fall. His shoulders were aching, this activity isn't something you do everyday and he didn't have a muscular body. He was only 14 years old for Merlin's sake.

Got them?" Hugo asked, the answer was implicit on what she said next. "
Good, don't fall" he turned around carefully and started to walk, he couldn't go really fast or else they would end up on the floor. There was a sweet reward waiting for them. Literally.
Though Dot's ability to stay balanced helped him very much and reached the finish line safe and sound.
