If permitted to enter the highly exclusive and incredibly pink palace of Headmistress Anastasia Reina (née Bunbury) Truebridge, please take a moment to allow your eyes to adjust. The current occupant of the Head chambers has distinct fashion tastes unlike any of her predecessors. And yes, she does re-do her office every three few years.
The large, thick black desk, which is easily the largest item in the room, rests on a fairly new, geometrically patterned pink and black carpet. In front of the desk are two nearly new black and pink, modernly styled guest chairs; behind it is what can only be described as a veritable throne. This, obviously, is where the Headmistress sits when she is in the office. If you're here to speak with her, you might as well have a seat in one of the guest chairs. You aren't welcome elsewhere in this office.
As you take your seat and look around, you'll notice that the room is lush with healthy green plants in black pots; new black curtains which are usually pulled back from the spacious windows; books and magazines scattered on matching black wooden end tables; and lots and lots of framed personal photos. Most of the photo occupants (the ones that you can see, anyway) are the Headmistress' husband, a former professor himself, and a baby photo of her now nine-year-old son, who is certain to grow up to be a genius. The largest photo, which sits facing the Headmistress' throne and the large window behind it, is of the three Truebridges from before they left Egypt.
The other frames on the walls of the room include portraits of former headmasters; a glass-encased man's cane; and a framed scrap of paper from one of Hogwarts' own student publications. In the back corner of the room, near the door that leads to the rest of the Headmistress' chambers, is a collection of very rare brooms locked up inside a black wood corner cabinet. In front of the cabinet sits a large pink wicker basket, usually containing a very pampered, very fat ginger cat. This is Gingersnapple.
Gingersnapple is most protective of his master's chambers, so if you truly wish to speak the Headmistress in her office, be aware that you are doing so at your own risk. Please note: This room is an animal-free zone... with the obvious exception of Gingersnapple.

The redhead positioned herself behind her desk, which had her pensieve out on half of it and her fat ginger cat on the other half, but didn't sit down. She was here to stand and supervise and besides, this would be a quick visit home. Just a quick one.

Gregoire climbed the spiral staircase, working his way up to the Headmistresses Offi- HOLY MERLIN THAT WAS A LOT OF PINK! "Very....pink Headmistress." Is honestly the only words that could come out of the boy's mouth. Everywhere you looked there was something pink! Gah! The pink was starting to irritate the Slytherin's eyes. Blinking rapidly a few times, hoping for his eyes to adjust, Gregoire pulled out his sketchbook and pencil.
Holding the pencil in his left hand, and the sketchbook in his right, using his arm as a solid surface to sketch on, Gregoire immediately went to work. The fourth year tried to capture the very essence of the room. From where the desks were positioned, to the intricate pattern on the floor. On one half of the notepad was the map. On the other, the Frenchie started to sketch the office from a person's perspective. This allowed him to get closer looks at details in the room.

Phyllida Spore had been napping in her portrait, she did that many times a day, but usually there wasn't too much excitement going on in the headmistress office. No the headmistress seemed to keep a pretty tight hold on her school, so need for excitement in her office. Phyllida was happy with that, but something stirred her from her nap and she looked around to see many people in the office.
Sitting up straighter she gave a smile to what looked like students and staff. What could be going on? "Well hello there." She looked towards Headmistress Truebridge's plants. The woman, like herself, loved plants. "Please be careful of those gorgeous plants back there." Seeing the headmistress among the group she grinned, "What's going on?" You'd think after five years at this school he'd finally learn a thing or to about sudden guests. But no.

He was greeted by even more pink as Benny made his way up into the office with the rest of the group. One couldn't mistake the woman's favorite color for any reason. Unless of course they were blind, color or otherwise. The Gryffindor let his gaze wander to take in the room as a whole, absently slipping his notebook out of his robe pocket in the process. They were supposed to be mapping as they went, including the current office, after all.
Stepping off to one side, Ben went to begin sketching when one of the portriats decided to speak up, reminding them of their presence even though the frames were rather noticable along the high walls. "Hello..." he greeted simply, not about to answer the painted woman's question as it wasn't quite his place. But he'd be careful with the plants if he got near them at any point. For now he was mapping the outline of the office in his notebook.

Ugh this was not fun – the staircase sure it was cool but she was all dizzy now. Her brain was practically spinning when she heard the Portrait speak up. “Hello….” Puck glanced at the Portrait and the name underneath it, Phyllida Spore…she’d heard that name in History of Magic. “Headmistress Spore,” yep. She was going to win this Portrait’s respect.
Puck took a pen out of her bag because really she did not want to use a quill today unless it was one of those self inking quills. She grinned around at the other group members as hello! This was exciting. And she was in the office for something that wasn’t a big deal it wasn’t like she’d gotten in trouble and was going to be expelled or anything and that was great.
"Headmistress Truebridge I do love how....you made the room so chic? And Pink" she smiled and glanced around the room even though well she was more into other styles of furniture...like not bright pink.

Kate walked into the Headmistress' office feeling like a princess entering a royal part of the castle. This placed seemed so forbidden, since you couldn't just go up there 'just because'. She couldn't believe the whole school wasn't here trying to get a chance to see the office for themselves! Kate looked around, not wanting to miss anything, since who knew when she'd be back. "Ohh, I love the pink!" she said. Kate was a huge fan of the color pink. A turn of her gaze revealed the sitting area, and...there was even a THRONE! Now Kate really did feel like a princess!
There were other magnificent things in the room, as well, but Kate set her sights on the cat lounging in front of the cabinet. "Hi there," she whispered to it, putting her hand out in case the cat wanted a nice pet. She was still a few feet away, though, so the cat would have to either give her a sign it wanted company, or it'd have to get up and come over. Kate didn't see that cat getting up anytime soon, though.
Kate heard a portrait talking, but she also knew it was talking to the Headmistress not to her. She smiled at the lady protecting the plants, though. No wonder this place was so awesome--the portraits probably watch over it night and day!

She saw the plant start moving, but the boy caught it just in time. "Nice catch, please be careful with those." She adored the plants in the office. She loved having this headmistress here, knowing she was a herbologist as well. It was always refreshing to have a headmistress or master who had the same love of plants she did. They would bring them into the office and she could get to sit in her portrait and look at them.
Looking at two students that said hello, she grinned, "Hello, how are you both? I'm Phyllida Spore" She hoped they would introduce themselves as well. She loved to chat to new people. Her eyes moved to one with a badge that called her by name. "Hello, you know who I am?" She was grinning proudly at this! Though it was written on her portrait, but she'd just assume the girl knew who she was. | |

So.....being in the Headmistress' office without something weird going on in the school (aside from the growing swamp, of course) was pretty neat. A little too much pink, which reminded Heather of someone she'd read about in her history books. But she didn't think the Headmistress was like the Umbridge woman. Not from what she'd seen, anyway.
There were a lot of noises coming from the wall. Or, the portraits on the wall. And lots of plants. Speaking of which, one of the portraits just spoke up about watching out for the plants. "Hello, Miss Spore." Was she a former professor? It would explain why she was hanging in the office here.

Toby was so very very curious about seeing this office. He'd never been up here, being pretty good at staying out of trouble while at school or anything, and having no real cause to visit and take up the Headmistress' time. But he'd always, always been curious, knowing how the professors' office reflected a lot about them and all.
After the seating area, Toby hadn't expecting anything less than a whole lot of pink, so stepping into this room was no real shock. He looked around the room in great interest, making sure to step out of the way of the door once he was in so that he wasn't in anyone's way. All the things in frames around the room caught his eye; the portraits, the photos, even that cane/walking stick thing, which sparked off a whole lot of questions that Toby managed to just about contain. His gaze passed briefly over the portrait that was talking to everyone, before finally falling on the fluffy creature that sat on the desk in front of Truebridge.
"I like your cat," the sixth year blurted out, nodding towards the orange-furred feline that really stuck out in a room like this. Toby wanted to pet the cat. He really did. Though, no idea if Truebridge would be okay with that; she was, uh... difficult to read. "... Can I say hi?" The Ravenclaw girl he recognised from Arithmancy had beaten him to it, though, and they would probably be doing, like, map things soon, but Toby knew he'd regret not asking later.
Because cats.

They were in the Headmistresses office! Adi had never been there so yeah. It was quite a big deal, ya know. Oh look! A cat. Could they pet it? And a pensieve. AND PORTRAITS! One of which was talking. Phyllida Spore he had just heard the woman in the portrait said her name was? "Hi!'' Adi told her as he stepped up next to Benny.
Adi continued to look around. He noted the picture of the man and the small boy. Possibly the Headmistress's family? All in all, this was an interesting office.

More students were speaking to her and Phyllida beamed happily. Looking at the young lady who had addressed her, "Hello, how are you today? " She had to admit that she was getting excited seeing all these students and it seemed like no one was in trouble. That was even more exciting!
Seeing someone else talk about the cat she let her eyes drift towards the plump cutie on the desk. She liked to watch the cat when no one was there to talk to. Her focused moved back to the students when she heard one say ewww. "Excuse me, that is no way to show your Headmistress respect."

When they arrived at the top and were let into the Headmistresses office she instantly noticed all the PINK. It was a bit uh...overwhelming but she quickly overlooked it and find it rather relaxing.

Zander let out a small chuckle at Kevin's reaction to the room. It really was kind of scary though. With all the pink. It was way too girly for his taste. Like walking into Professor Morgan's mind or something. Strange, you know? Something you wouldn't really expect from someone so... So serious like the Headmistress. It was odd, but at least Zander was able to hold in his thoughts. Unlike his best mate that really had no restraint when it came to these sorts of things.
And OF COURSE Kevin had to notice his little blunder. Of course. Zander just returned Kevin's look with a slight shrug of his shoulders, "Oops?" At least he was an idiot that would get lots of high marks on his OWLs though, right? If only. He had been nonstop studying for those exams though, okay? It was hardly even half way through the term and he was still on top of things MHM. That's right. Not so idiot now, huh? Nope. Still idiot. Always idiot. Sigh.

So this was Headmistress Truebridge's office. It was very pink. Penelope had never been in here before. She was somewhat curious about Headmistress Truebridge's office, but it was not a place that she really wanted to spend a lot of time exploring. Oooh, a cat! The headmistress had a cat. Was that a pensieve? There were a lot of portraits. Everything looked very pink. The office was kind of cool. Some of the things in the office looked interesting. Were they supposed to be taking notes on Headmistress Truebridge's office for map stuff?

Following everyone else up to the headmsitress’ office, Brooklyn was hardly surprised by the pinkness of the room. Considering the pink in the sitting area down below, it was hardly a surprise, and she definitely wasn’t going to react like that one Gryffindor did. Thankfully, it hadn’t been the one who’d rescued her back when their group had found the enlarged swamp, but it still lowered her opinion of the house a little. Nobody came to someone’s domain and said ew. It was rude. Just like that painting had said.
She’d turned to said painting, giving the woman inside it a little curtsy. “Good day, Headmistress Spore,” she said politely, before she allowed herself to look around more. Oh, the headmistress had a cat too. That just made her seem that much better in her eyes. Even if there was also what seemed like way too many plants. At least that broke up all the pink sort of. She just didn’t think she’d be able to take care of them all if it was her office.

Kace finally made his way up to the Headmistress's office and he was blown away with ALL THE PINK. He looked around and never seen a room this pink before. Even his older sister Belle hated the color pink. He just wasn't used to it. He wasn't the only dude with the same reaction because he saw Gregoire had the same reaction. He went to stand next to him and commented, "I feel the same way dude. It is wayy to much pink for my liking but if the headmistress likes it then..." he shrugged.
As he looked over he noticed the portrait was talking to the students. He grinned and waved and greeted it with, "Hello.." and then she warned them to not go near the plants. He wasn't even focusing on the plants, he just was focusing on the room itself. There was a lot to see.

The Gryffindor immediately turned around at the sound of the Headmistress's voice. Y'know, out of all his time being at Hogwarts, he's sure heard a lot more from her this year than all the others combined. Of course she normally kept speeches and stuff short, but last club meeting he had been in her group. And now in her office. And Merlin. It was kind of weird?
Anyways, at the mention of forming groups, Zander's head perked up a bit looking right over to Kevin. They were going to stick together this time, yeah? Gryffindor Goobers and such. Kevin Hirase abandoned him last time, but there was NO way Zander would let it happen again. No way.
Two groups? That small?.... Well their numbers were a lot smaller than last time, so reckon it'd make sense and everything. But still. And the two options were... DRUMROOOOLLLLL... Ew. Arithmancy??? No offense Professor T, but uh Zander had seen enough Arithmancy this week thankyouverymuch. Aside from the countless lessons (geddit, countless? MATH? Airthmancy??), he had been working his butt off studying his textbook. No more lifepath numbers please. Anything but numbers.
And... GIRLS BATHROOM? AHA! See, there definitely was a reason why he came to this club meeting after all. Heh. That would be extra exploring too because sure he had seen the Arithmancy side of the floor tons of times, but the girls bathroom? That was new. Nothing Zander had seen before. Hehe. He gave Kevin a look before whispering, "Let's stay in here and go with Truebridge's group." And not Arithmancy. "You think they'll let us explore the girl's bathroom?"

Penelope looked over at Headmistress Truebridge when she head the headmistress speaking. They were going to be splitting into groups now. She was going to go with Headmistress Truebridge's group, and they were going to be in the corridor and the girls' bathroom. The girls' bathroom- Wait, were there going to be boys coming into the girls' bathroom? Ew. She did not like the idea of boys being in the girls' bathroom. Maybe the boys could just stay in the corridor or go with the arithmancy group. Penelope eyed some of the boys in the room, wondering if any of them would be joining the headmistress's group. She was just going to look around the office more until the group was ready to go.

Waaait, they were done in here already? Evie quickly finished as much as she could, but wanted to spend more time in the Headmistress' office. There was so much to look at and so many THINGS. And she had a cute cat. Evie pet the kitty on the head a few times before walking back to the rest of the group.
They were splitting up again this time, but only into two groups. As she was considering which group to join, she heard the boy called Zander talk about going into the girls' bathroom. "I heard that," she whispered to him as she walked by, but she finished it with a little grin because it was actually kind of funny.
"I'll go with you, professor." Evie stood by Tanner, clutching her notebook to her chest. She didn't like arithmancy, but she liked Tanner. She liked Truebridge, too, but she'd like her more if her cat came with her. | |

Zeke had been quietly following behind. Despite being the first to arrive, he hadn't picked the best place to sit, it meant EVERYONE ELSE was in front of him... and therefore, he was no longer first, he was last. But it was okay, he was still here and still exploring.
Headmistress Thuebridge's office though... just... er... wow?
He wasn't sure how he felt about it, but it was not at all what he had expected to see. WHAT had he expected to see? Well... he wasn't sure, just not... this. It was too much pink for a second year Lion to handle.
When it was time to split up. He was TORN. But, considering he was allowed in the Arithmancy classroom... and considering he'd never been in the girls bathroom... THAT might be an interesting option.
"Can I come with you please, Headmistress?" he asked, sidling up beside her. He wanted in on Head Lady's group. Maybe she knew all the secret places to go. Like SECRET secret. Not the EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS SECRET secret passage. Yep. It was an idea.
