She’d seen the notice. Brooklyn hadn’t exactly cared about the notice, but when she’d seen Professor Quigley disappearing into the room, and then the headmistress, she’d followed. She wasn’t about to let others be able to tell a story when she couldn’t. There was no way she’d be left behind. A queen was never left behind, unless there was a good reason. There wasn’t a good reason here, and therefore, she was going to find out what was going on. At the very least, it should be interesting. Maybe not as interesting as Westeros, but still interesting.

Slipping inside right behind the headmistress, she looked around at the others who were inside. There should have been more Slytherins, in her opinion, just for their awesomeness. She saw Ruby and Dante, though. It was a start, and finally she stopped over near Kate. Not a Slytherin, but still kind of cool. She would do, if nobody else decided to wander in. Either way, the small redhead stayed quiet, observing.

Puck was squirmy all of a sudden, maybe it had something to do with the fact that Aegis was sort of sitting on her. Helloooooooo Dane? She huffed and eyed the Gryffindor before wiggling and attempting to get out from beneath the fifth year boy.

Puck glanced over to Emmy when she heard her exclaim her name and grinned a comical smile in place. “Emmy, help me pleaaase?” She pleaded as really her foot was falling asleep. She sent Lux a nod though a strained one as she was trying to get herself out from beneath Aegis and his coushin.

She stopped with the wiggling when she spotted Professor Quigley and blinked…oh god he was here? Didn’t he hate her? Headmistress Truebridge was given the most innocent of look as possible because really her predicament wasn’t a usual one. "Cinna...Emm? Can I get a hand?" She asked pleadingly and glanced over to the two. After all she didn't want to give up her seat.

Would you look at that, Professor Q had shown up. Dante smiled and waved at him. Probably will jut ignore him but that is fine. And whoa look who also showed up, the Headmistress. Guess she was running this shindig with the way she was dressed. The only question Dante had was, Is Professor Q going to be like their guide cat and show them where to go. It could be fun if that is what was going to happen. Plus Professor Q could totally do it. If the Headmistress told him to.

It was the Headmistress, after all.

This should be more fun then Dante first thought.

Norah poked her head into the room juuuust to make sure she was in the right place. Looking around, she took a step inside and was met with the view of a bazillion and five people she knew. Hiiii everyone HI. The third year waved at EVERYBODY, beaming at Mari and Adi individually 'cause they were COOL and prefects so respect 'n things. She knew all about that.

Marching up to the front, she sat down all front and center on a SUPERSQUISHYCUSHIONWHAAAT. WOAH. Giving a little bounce, Norah grinned to herself for OBVIOUS bouncy reasons and then looked back up at the Headmistress and Mr. Cat Man Professor Dude, waiting for the EXPLORATION to start. Yeah, and maps 'n stuff but EXPLORING was the most important part.

This Cartographers Club had her at 'Cartographers.'

Adventures!

So without a second thought, Beverly Wayne made her way toward the Great Hall. She had a collection of maps, including Jeremiah's map-flowers he'd made for her a few years ago. If you wanted to make a Beverly Wayne swoon, give her map-flowers. Proven fact. She was collecting them for a great big adventure after graduation. *_____*

Entering the classroom, she first gazed inside to see if any of the professors would introduce the subject, but she only saw the Headmistress and Professor Quigley. Polite nods were sent their way before she flopped into one of the soft cushions. That's when she spotted Ruby and Marisol, all of who received small smiles.

More smile practicing. It was working. Sniff.

Exploration! That sounded like exactly the thing Hayden was interested in. She felt like her entire first year had been devoted to exploring the castle, and she still couldn't claim to know where everything was. Not even close. That was why she was there, because she liked to explore not necessarily because she liked to make maps. She had made a map, not a good one but a map nonetheless, so that she would get lost less. That had been her goal, at least.

She entered the room with a smile on her face and looked around for a friend to sit by. She saw professor cat and the headmistress and she panicked because she thought she was late. But no, it looked like they had just gotten there ahead of time. The meeting hadn't started yet. Good. Hayden sighed in relief and went to claim one of the cushions as her own. She sat near Kate and Norah, and smiled in greeting at each of them.

Margo needed to make new friends. She needed to get her head out of school mode and having some fun. She was getting so frustrated and tired with everything that was going on. When she had heard about this club she thought she would give it a whirl. Who knows maybe she would be good at it. If she didn't like it Margo would just bow out.

Seeing Adi across the room Margo waved, wasn't sure he if he saw or not, but then went to sit on a crushion a little way away from everyone, waiting to see what would happen.

There was a CLUB about MAPS?

Did that mean if they made a map the club room would show up on it?

Kyroh wasn't sure. But he wanted to find out. He also wanted to find out what kind of maps were being made because if it was like maps for treasures he was definitely in. The third year slipped into the room and quickly started to look around for people he knew.

Maybe he needed a map to find them too???

HE WAS HERE! HE WAS HERE!

Zeke was panting, and his hair was dishevelled as he bounced through the doors to the room off the Great Hall. HE WAS HERE!!! DON'T START WITHOUT HIM!

It had taken him some time in getting ready, because he decided to bring the maps of what he'd done so far - though he was sure that he wanted to start again - and of course his compass... which didn't work inside the Castle or its grounds... boo... but still, it was a tool that he always had to have on him. Nevertheless, he was HEREEEEE!

Standing a little way inside the room, Zeke took a moment to catch his breath and right himself, fix his hair. He was good. Good and rearing to go.

Seeing the notice on the board a few days earlier about the new club Hady knew then and there that she wanted to give it a try. That's why she was here today and making her way down the hall. As she reached the door off the great hall she slipped inside without a sound.

Scanning the room quickly she spotted many of her friends already. This was pretty awesome that so many had shown up. Moving deeper into the room she found an empty cushion and plopped herself down into it. Now all that was needed was to wait and see what they would be doing.

Chewing on her bottom lip and twirling a bit of hair around her finger Hady tried to contain her excitement.

Kate sat silently watching as more and more people packed into the room. Who knew a cartography club would have so much interest? Maybe everybody just wanted to explore the school like Kate did. The first year hadn't even noticed the Charms professor in here until the Headmistress called out his name. Whoooa. If the Headmistress was involved, this must be some club!

Awesome.

Kate just wished she had a friend to sit with. She always seemed to be wandering the castle and involved in everything just...with no friends to really hang out with. Noticing a girl about her age sitting nearby, Kate smiled. "Hey," she said to her. "I'm Kate."

Tia wasn't sold on the idea of a club that involved no doubt, adventure, but she did know that she needed some more in her life and it seemed like everyone was headed this way so the fourth year just followed.

Entering the room, her brown eyes searched for someone to sit near and fell on the Gryffindor Prefect but then it seemed like everyone was headed towards his corner. Sigh. Instead she turned on her heel and chose a cushion near the front. She needed to pay extra attention because who knew when this stuff would become useful?

Sooo new club? David was up for that. Clubs sounded more fun than classes generally, so he was gonna be a part of this even if he had to do some kinda work or whatever.

Maybe maps were fun anyway. He'd never done much with them before, so it wasn't like he knew one way or the other.

But anyway, he was here. Aaand he decided to sit by Ruby. Or at least he would if she was sitting and not just standing there looking pretty. Though that was nice.

"Hey," he greeted with a grin. "Looking for a seat?"

Cilla entered the room. She was very intrigued about the concept of the Cartographers Club. She found a cushion and sat down. She looked around the room and saw that word of the club must've spread quickly as there was quite the number of students. It was also interesting that there was the Headmistress and Charms Professor.

PUCK?!

Was she even awake to see what was happening to Puck? Emmylou didn't know if she should hurry up and help, laugh at her or both. It would be very mean to laugh at her but she was pretty much being sat on by someone that she had only seem a few times. She didn't know the guy that well. She was pretty sure she didn't even know what his name was.

"Why are you letting him do that?" Emmylou blinked at her. She still was unsure of getting up and helping Puck. She wanted to help Puck but seeing as what just happened to Puck might just happen to her or Cinna then all three of them would be in the same situation and that wouldn't be fun for any of them. "Erm...can't you just push him off?" Yeah! She wouldn't get into any trouble because she's a Prefect, a Gryffindor Prefect! The best kind of Prefects.

DING!

An idea popped into Emmylou's tired brain. "What's wrong with sharing my seat? I don't bite and Prefects shouldn't be sat on and I won't sit on you." That made sense right? She felt like her words were just getting jumbled together for some reason.

Mapmaking only had one connotation to Dot, and so she showed up for the meeting sporting an eyepatch. It looked sort of dashing, with the strings tucked up under her plait, and Dot posed expectantly in the doorway.

Disappointing. No other pirates in sight.

She hopped over to plop down on the same cushion as Kyroh, laying her head briefly on his shoulder to let him know she was there. "Maaaaaps, Ky."

Mapmaking was something Evie hadn't ever considered before, but when the opportunity arose, she decided to go for it. She was always excited about learning something new. So, when the time came Evie hurried down to the room off the great hall so she could learn about this Cartography thing. There were surprisingly a lot of people there, so she filed in and found a seat, waiting for the meeting to get started.

She saw a few familiar faces around her, but there was one or two in particular she had hoped to see. She didn't see them, though. Oh well. Perhaps she would make more friends in this adventure.

So a club about maps? Sounded kinda weird to be honest.

Grayson strolled into the room, his hands stuffed into his pockets and an air of cool about him. This WAS gonna be interesting, wasn't it? Because he could be doing other things right about now: like eating or hanging out or just procrastinating in general. And he was all up for adventures, if THAT's what this whole map thing was gonna lead to. Besides, it'd be a useful skill to have, wouldn't it? Imagine if he was stuck in the woods with no Ravenclaw around?

Exactly.

So, he was here. And the Headmistress and Quigley were here too? Interesting. Just....... interesting. He shot both of them a nod in greeting before moving further into the room. A room full of people some of whom he knew and actually cared about. 'Sup nods for all of you.

And Dante. Dante was gonna get his company today. What a lucky guy. "'Sup, Dante," he said, sitting down on a cushion next to him. How good was this one at reading maps? HMMMM?

Sophie's motivation for most things had been squashed for various reasons, but a club like THIS was too good to pass up. It was instinctive for her to gravitate toward Tobes as soon as she entered, and even though he was by Gabe, it didn't even matter - she needed to be by her adventuring buddy.

This club felt like it was made for them, really. MAPS AND STUFF? WAY COOL.

Hopping onto the empty cushion beside the Hufflepuff, she gave him a delighted nudge and crossed her legs under her, eyes eagerly darting around the room and taking in all the faces present. Exciiiiiiiting.

He wasn't sure what he was doing here. Dima had mostly shown up for map club because he knew Kyroh and Dot were, but once he saw Quigley?

Oh, yeah. This SO was not the place for him.

Squishing onto the same cushion as Dot and Kyroh (not exactly easy, jsut saying), the third year observed the turnout of kids. Huh. Lots of people were interested in maps, apparently. Maybe it would be cool; definitely involved some artistic skills, which Dima had.

Not... enough brains though. But that could be amended, 'cause his friends were the SMARTEST.

"Whatcha think we're gonna make a map of?" Huh. Curious.

Still staring at the door because friends friends friiiieeends. Cinnnnnnnaaa! Well, that didn't take long at all! The Gryffindor gave her a big grin as she made her way over to a cushion next to him. Running a hand through his hair, the boy laughed a little at the question she posed. Was this going to be interesting or what. Ha. "Dear Merlin, I hope so.... But if not, you uh... You've always got me?" He could be interesting? Maybe.

And just as he was going to ask another weird 'club-meeting-hasn't-started-so-let's-be-awkward' question, someone else came over to their little area. OH Emmy! "Hey, EmmyLou." She got a huge grin too. Maybe all the Gryffindor girls just decided to show up at once? And sit next to him... Eh. Who even knew.

And then he heard someone else plop down on his other side and he turned his head only to be face to face with his CoPrefect in crime. "Yeah, I reckon I did.... Exploring the castle? I had to be early for this, you know... Um, save us some spots?" It totally wasn't because he was actually kind of excited to go exploring. Okay, maybe a little. AKLSDFJAKLDFJ!!! A chocolate frog?! "You brought this for me? Merlin they're my favorite, thanks Puck!"

And was it just him or was she sitting incredibly close? Actually, he didn't even mind. Kinda nice actually. He didn't even realize that he was surrounded by GIRLS at this point. Three of them. Three Gryffindor girls all surrounding him. AHEM. Anyways, he was absolutely beaming at Puck. BEAMING. Chocolate frog, this was great!

Or was great anyways. Until Aegis happened. -________- That boy was almost as bad as Bart. And how come Aegis was looking at Cinna like that? AND how come it was making him angry!? Whut was going on Merlin!! "Aegis." AND HEY HOLD UP, he was going to sit on Puck!? WAIT HUH? Uh..... "Aegis. Puck was sitting there!" And cue the look over to said CoPrefect in crime, "You alright?" Ugh. Aegis.

This was funny really; Puck wouldn’t have thought it was mean if someone laughed. Because hello, she did not look like a cushion and really, she probably wasn’t all that comfortable. “I’m not,” she laughed as she shifted and wiggled a bit more until she had free’d her legs and well, she’d just sit next to Aegis then right?

Until she heard what Emmy had said, “Emmy you are amazing really?” She grinned and stretched because her legs. Puck stretched some more and then turned when she heard Zander talking, que lopsided grins…because hello? Did he see that? She’d just free’d herself from… “I can’t wait to go exploring,” she grinned and shifted some more…hello Emmy’s coushin it was going to happen. Yep. Soon. After her leg wasn’t all tingly.

“Yeah, keep it…I’ve got loads more incase Toddles shows up” She grinned because she’d heard about the other chocolates and since had been keeping some stuffed in her pockets just in case…when Zander mentioned that she had been sitting there she sort of awkward flushed a bit because yep she had.

“Oh me?” Puck grinned, “I’m fine,” she chuckled and stood up as she stretched again… “I am going to go give Emmy a hug though,” she grinned…and borrow her seat because she liked her yes? Emmy was one of her dorm mates and well she NEEDED to get to know her better.

It didn't take long for her to standup, wobble a bit and shift just two spaces over until she was sitting near Cinna and Emmy. "Hey girls...ready for some exploring?" grins all around.

Oh no. Headmistress, AND the new Charms professor. That meant escaping would be awkward. Better to just pretend like she meant to be here, and blend in, right?

Ruby waved back at Marigold, and at Beverly, relaxing a little when her friends started showing up to whatever this was. She still hadn't a clue because she never read noticeboards.

And ooooh! David! She smiled at him. "I aaaaam now!"

Yup she'd sit with him.

.... and people were saying things about maps? Ummmm....??

As predicted, the room started really filling up not long after he'd arrived...and Gabe just continued to look around. He wasn't much of a talker. When people waved, though, he returned the favor; cheeks flushing just a little.

He wouldn't be himself if his face didn't resemble a tomato.

...and he seen Eden glaring at him. Gabe could only guess that she'd talked to Clara about happenings, which was bleeding annoying for a multitude of reasons. He'd been clear and didn't want to be bothered by additional girls. However, given the hostility, Gabe did tense accordingly.


When Toby sat nearby, the tension left. Thankfully. Gabe liked Toby a bunch. Toby was a good egg. In fact, he even smiled at the Hufflepuff just a little.

....and Sophie Brown was suddenly there with Toby. Gabe was always resigned to acknowledge her presence since she was the girlfriend's best friend. It felt like some strange obligation. "Toby. Sophie Brown." Just so they knew he'd seen them and whatnot.

He shifted on his cushion, causing the vials to clink some more.

And Gabe might've been the only one to appreciate that Professor Quigley was there...Oh, and the Headmistress herself. He flushed brightly at seeing her, of course; due to past dealings......He hadn't Silencio'd anyone else. Scout's honor. Though, the urge was strong a good deal of the time.

Eyes for YOU, Puck.

....and his sister was here? Gabriel blinked at seeing her, momentarily confused. Was Ruby...actually joining a school organized club?

Alright, well, she'd waited around enough and if the others hadn't showed by now.... maybe they would come in once Anastasia got the club going.

The Headmistress stepped up to the front of the room and cleared her throat importantly. "Welcome, welcome, everyone, to the first-ever meeting of the Hogwarts Cartographer Club." She paused to beam around at the assembled students, and her smile slowly began to falter as she noticed a few unruly ones. Were those two Gryffindors SITTING ON each other?! Hold BOLD. And RUDE. Annie made swiping motions at the pair (Aegis and Puck). They'd better get their own cushions if they knew what was good for them.

Anyway. "Yes, this is a club for making maps. Have you ever wandered the third-floor corridor, confused as to what all the rooms REALLY are? Ever stumbled upon a spare office and considered its purpose? Did you know that there were once secret passageways to Hogsmeade, and even the Shrieking Shack?" Well, DID THEY KNOW?

"This year, I am pleased to announce that Hogwarts will be entering into a dynamic, groundbreaking, long-term project with an esteemed cartographer. Although our school has been around for THOUSANDS of years, there is much that we don't know about it." They hadn't even known about an enchanted fairy-tale book sitting in the dusty library all those years. "Those of you present at this meeting will have the opportunity to CONTRIBUTE to our mapmaking project, which will be published at the end of the year after all our efforts have been documented. I hope that you will stick with the club as we begin exploring our school and discovering all that it has to offer."

The Headmistress was again smiling at them all and now gestured for the Charms professor to come to the front of the room. "Professor Quigley and I... amongst other staff... will be overseeing your efforts. My plan is to start with the Dungeons, the Kitchens, this Ground Floor, and the first floor in the next month. And then we'll move on from there."

SO. "Let's go ahead and split into groups; one corner for the Dungeons, one for the Kitchens, one for the Ground Floor, and one for the First Floor, please. Then we will begin exploring."
