So Dante understood this. Though he would probably not be able to use the spell. But the taking pictures would be fun. Random Pictures would been even more fun. And the animating them would be the icing on the cake. Not real cake. But you know what it means.

So there was the confused bonkers Head Girl and Grayson. The guy he lit on fire. So perfect picture material. He grabbed a camera, got it ready and walked over to the two of them.

Alright. "SAY HUFFLEPUFF"

Waiting to see them notice him he started taking pictures. This was fun.

So there was a charm AND a potion that did the same thing? "What's the difference between the spell and the potion?" She wiggled her fingers at the professor for his attention. Cranky man? Dot accepted her camera and put it to her face. The better to watch her classmates with, obviously. Like Lex, who was being a little less weird than normal. And those Slytherin twins who were playing some new weirdo twin game.

And Dark Dante! "Smile or I'll make you crrrrrrrry," she wiggled her fingers at him and smiled, just to show him how to do it. SMILE LIKE THIS, OKAY? Smile like a Dark Wizard.

This was actually a lot of fun. Taking pictures when nobody expects it. Getting their Whaaat face is priceless. Though at least Dot asked him before taking a picture of him. Though random pictures of him would be cool too. Since he was doing it. It was only fair.

"Okay. Do you want my evil smile or just a normal smile"

He had to know. If she wanted the evil smile. He would not be able to put two thumbs up. It would not make sense.

There was probably a really good reason why he was laughing but even after his question, Alexa couldn't figure out why. Something was up, that was clear but she didn't know what and her brain wouldn't really let her think about it too carefully. This was probably one of those times you didn't question things, like at all, in case it made the headache worse.

"I dunno if I've been sleeping. Have I?" If she was, it was a lovely dream, brilliant and empowering but she couldn't remember most of it, just that she probably liked it. Did she?

OH! Picture taking and er working together. "Yeah, yeah of course we can. Nice faces need getting caught on camera afterall." And with that she lifted her camera and took the first one, a candid of Grayson. Dude was a natural at getting his camera taken, even when he wasn't ready. "Wait, what's the incantation?" She hadn't heard that either apparently and had to ask while she reached...for her...--WHERE IN MERLIN'S PANTS WAS HER WAND???? Lex began patting away at her hips knowing her wand holster was always on her waist, but it was empty?? What? WHAT??

She wouldn't wear the Holster without the wand!!!!! "I can't find my wand!"

She was pulled from her wand search by the sudden command about Hufflepuffs. This day was getting stranger and stranger, wasn't it? She'd only just gotten done saying the house's name when yelling was happening and singing and holy kneazle what were Sophie and Caleb doing??

What had she woken up to exactly?

She was gonna ...keep her eyes on the ickles and let the siblings have it out. They might have been having one of those sibling spats and she had no interest in that so she turned her camera to Dot who'd been demonstrating a smile. That made for a good one, kid had a decent smile.

Was Dante taking a picture?

First things first, Toby needed a camera. And... he was working on it. Y'know, not moving, but working on it. The Hufflepuff stayed at his desk for a little while, pretending to add more to his notes even though he'd already gotten everything down that he needed. Just checking, y'know.

Eventually, enough time had passed that Tobias couldn't really pretend he was still working on notes. He looked up and glanced around the classroom at certain people before finally heading over to grab a camera, keeping his eyes down all time. For reasons.

And then he was back at his desk, and checking the camera out for real, with a kind of interest that wasn't feigned at all. Toby knew a little about cameras, magical and muggle, about as much as the average person did. He was no Marcus Branxton.

Even though Soph was right there beside him, Toby wasn't really up for partner work. He was focusing, at the moment, on doing this activity and hiding certain feelings. CONCEAL, DON'T FEEL. DON'T LET THEM KNOW. So, still in his curious silence, Toby swiveled around in his chair slightly, so he could get as many of the other students from the class in the shot as possible, and pushed the picture-taking-button.

And just like that, the not-yet-a-photo-photo scooted out the front of the camera. Toby took it and shook it in the air for a few minutes, wondering if it actually made any sort of difference. Soon enough, there was a picture right there in front of his very eyes. Not moving yet, of course. Because NOW he had to do a magic on the thing to make it move.

Toby grabbed his wand and quickly checked his notes again to make sure he knew what he was doing.

Oooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they were making moving pictures! PICTURES!..... AND better yet, they could keep the cameras if they didn't break them!!! It was a lot to ask, but Zeke was sure he could manage it. Because then, then he'd be able to send photos home tooo, not just flimsy letters. He was DYING to show Ashley the common room. Or well, Pride... and his room, and even Sir Nicholas. That'd be cool. Though... was it possible to photograph ghosts? Meh, he could try.

Rising from his seat after scribbling down the spell and pronunciation from the board, Zeke collected one of the cameras from the front. Weeeeeeeeeeee!

He was tempted to work in a group, with someone... where was Paige? Gwen? Frankie? ...................... but ooohhhh!!!! He knew exactly what he wanted to photograph first! And so that's what he would do.

Zeke got down onto the floor beneath his desk, and from here, he had the perfect shot of LOTS of moving things. FEEET! LEGS!... his moving picture was going to be awesome.

Holding the camera up to his face so he could see through the window, Zeke made sure his shot was as he wanted it, before he pressed down on the capture button.

CAPTURED!

Sitting cross-legged, still under the table, Zeke took the film paper and waited for the picture to become clear.

It was a good shot.

And it would be even better once he had it MOVING.

Ian had begun practicing the incantation. Alaysur.....Alaysur....ALAYSUR! He thought that it was going to be ok. He looked around another time to see if anyone would be willing to work with him. He didn't think his pictures would be worth anything if he just tried it on his own. He saw a second year huffie that didn't seem to have a partner. He left his camera and walked over there. Quietly, he asked "ummm.....I don't....[/b] he tried to think how to word this. He figured he just needed to give it a go. I don't know if you have someone in mind to work with, but if you need a partner, I'll work with you. I just don't think I'll make any pictures worth anything alone. He waited to see if she would respond.

ALRIGHT, now this was more his speed and it was fun too because he had kind of done this before with Ella… ohhh the Bishop he wondered how she was doing, she was so nice to him. Doing as he was told he got up and moved to grab a camera and paper then he walked slowly back to his seat to see if anyone was free..

"I need a partner for this…" he waved his stuff in the air, hoping someone will snag him.

Kace went up to the front of room and got himself a camera. Afterwards he needed to find a partner to take pictures with. As he went around the classroom, he noticed Bay was just wandering around. "Hey bud you need a partner?" he asked with a smile. I mean he obviously answered his own question but it was still nice to ask. Plus they never got to hang around too much so this was a nice opportunity. "Now who wants to be model?" he asked.

hearing his name he turned around and saw that it was KACE.. his bro claiming him for this project.. awesome.. more bro time was totally fine with him.. "Yeah totally dude" he laughed because as soon as he said that he would be his partner Kace was asking him who wanted to be the model… HA!

"well since I think your one good looking dude… how about you go first?" he said because he knew his mate wouldn't miss a chance to look at himself in the photos.. and if he didn't then Bay would make tons of copies and put them everywhere in their room. AHAHAH he was so sneaky.

Notes. Adi made notes about this spell. He could hardly wait get started on the activity. What fun it would be to animate his own pictures! Just think, he could have an entire album with moving pictures of his friends!

Notes done, Adi practiced the spell's incantation. "Ah-lay-sur. Ah-lay-sur. Alacer, Alacer, Alacer.'' Hey, this wasn't so bad. Thank Merlin the wand movement wasn't either. Now for the camera. The Puffer snagged one. "Hey, AJ, Angel. Let me get a picture with you guys, please.'' Girlfriend and little sister. Then he wanted one with the girlfriend alone. Yep.

It was activity time, and this one sounded like a lot of fun. Photoshoots were awesome, and Lux was seriously considering becoming a part-time model when she was older.

But this aspiring model didn't want to work alone. After grabbing a camera, she looked around to see who was free to work with her. Awww, Bay was working with Kace. They were getting in some bromance time and it made her smile.

Oooh! She could work with her bestie! Skipping over to Cinna, she beamed. "Partners?"

And would you look at Lex. Looking…confused? Lost? She should just stay there she is because it’ll be perfect to take a picture of her that way. And—OH. Dante already did. Fast boy, he is. Ethan should see HIS work after class, yeah? Or maybe help him with the spell work? Yup. Ethan stood up from his seat as soon as Fuller gave them his instructions. Oh yeeeeeees. This is going to be really awesome!

Picking up a camera, Ethan inspected it as he went back to his table. Hmm.

He turned to his left, and brought the camera’s view finder close to his right eye and saw the three students. Well, it should be an interesting subject because it’ll have Dante, Grayson, and Lex in it, yeah? "Hey, you three! Over here." He need not wait for them to smile or what.

Candid shots were the bestest. Hehehehe.

"You only have one kind of smile, Darkling," Dot reassured him, in case he was starting to think he could choose or something. He couldn't choose. He was probably a Dark Wizard. Plus, look at how good his creepy smile could be. She took a quick shot of him without waiting for the final smile decision.

"I'm going to develop this and see which smile your photo self chooses to make, okay?" Dot pointed at the picture as it was developing in her hands, and she flapped it around to see if it would develop any more quickly. "Come look, then. And then I'm going to take a picture of Dima. Not-Dark-Dima." Her favorite.

While Adi waited on AJ and Angel to finish up their practice or whatever it was they were doing and get themselves ready for their shots, Adi decided he would have some more practice with the incantation.

"Ah-lay-sur,'' he began. "Ah-lay-sur, Ah-lay-sur. Alacer...Alacer...Alacer...Alacer..." Yup. Incantation at the ready. All he needed now were pictures! Where those girls ready as yet? Adi and his camera were all set.

Norah grinned at the boy and stuck out her hand to shanke his. "I'm Norah! You're a puffer too, right?" MORE GRINS FOR THE FELLOW PUFFER. "Thanks, partners sounds awesome." She wasn't sure if the boy was in her year or not, but it didn't matter. He had come up to her all by himself and offered to be her partner, and if that wasn't model Badger behavior she wasn't sure what was. So much Huffie love. Sigh.

She picked up her camera and turned to face him. "Say cheese!" Norah peered through the little hole-thingy and pressed the button. She grinned at the boy once more as she waited for the picture to come out. Next step was the charm.

"Ah-lay-sur..." Tobias whispered to himself as he checked the notes he had written down. "Ah-lay-sur.... Alacer."

It was a simple enough incantation, and for that Toby was thankful. The wand movement of a tap was also another easy one to get down, so Toby figured all the difficulty would be in the intent of the spell, and getting it to actually work. The problem with these simple-at-first-glance spells, though, was that they had a curious tendency to be the ones that always ended in things catching fire. At least for Toby. And hadn't they already had enough of THAT in Herbology? Yeah, he would be trying to avoid that today. No more negative attention pls.

Of course, the fact that it was on Toby's mind at all was going to cause problems. With his mind still half on the fire in the greenhouses earlier, Toby tapped the middle of the photo with his wand and spoke.

"Alacer."

Was it moving? Well... there WAS movement, but... *squint* was that... smOKE?

!!!!!!!

Toby's eyes WIDENED as the very thing he'd hoped WOULDN'T happen seemed to be coming true right in front of him. Without skipping a beat he quickly used his non-wand-hand to smack at the photo and put out any possible flames. He hadn't SEEN one. Okay, there may have been a pretty decent sized flame.

A lot of smoke too. Boy. Toby coughed and wafted his hand in front of his face, eager to clear the space in front of him so he could see better. Yeah, no. Spell hadn't worked at all. It was KINDA weird though, because... well, the picture didn't look very damaged. Just a little... singed and furled significantly at the edges. How did it even PRODUCE that much smoke? He was positively engulfed.

That didn't deter him, though, only served to delay the Hufflepuff for a moment as he leaned across and pushed the window he was sat by wiiiiiide open, to air it out. Now he was coughing for REAL. Boy oh boy.

Right, attempt two.

"Alacer." Toby tapped his wand in the middle of the photo, this time thinking ONLY OF MAKING THE slightly burnt PICTURE MOVE. Very focused on the intent. Aaaaaaand... no smoke. GOOD SIGN. Toby peered at the picture and saw that, YES, it was moving; the students in the photograph just casually milling about and doing their own thing.

Sooooo... take two?

So they would be dealing with moving pictures.

Actually taking them and developing them with the charm the professor mentioned. Ben had been busy taking notes and trying to concentrate on what was being said to contribute any thoughts of his own. Not that he really knew anything about what was being said other then having been in a few of those magical photos himself with his family.

Getting up from his seat, he retrieved a camera of his own as instructed, returning to his seat so he could practice what was needed. The Gryffindor wouldn't be working with a partner it seemed seeing as Adi appeared preoccupied. Correction...he heard his friend's voice but only speaking to AJ and Angel.

Cue sigh.

Fine...he was fine on his own.

Taking a deep breathe, he looked where he had written the incantation. "Alacer..." he stated, trying it out on his tongue. "Alacer...AH-LAY-SUR...AH-LAY-SUR...A-lay-cer." It certainly sounded like what everyone else seemed to be saying.

Moving pictures, that was something Beverly was interested in. There were many, maaaany pictures she wouldn't mind to animate. Heh. Too bad she couldn't post them up in her room back home, but here, she could go crazy with them.

Standing up to retrieve a camera, her eyes lingered a bit on the Head Girl. Was she done, yet? Beverly was beginning to like the entertainment.

Back at her seat, camera set on the table, Beverly took her wand out. Practice time. She glance at the board, then at her notes.

"Ah-lay-sur." Sounded right. "Ah...lay...sur. Alacer."

Beverly decided the wand movement was pretty simple and that could be tested once she took a picture...a picture but of what?

Samantha got up and grabbed a camera from the cart. This was such a cool activity as she did have an interest in photography. She carefully placed the camera on the desk in front of her. It was time to practice the charm. She decided to focus purely on the incantation first of all. Closing her eyes in concentration, Sam repeated in her mind, "Ah-Lay-Sur!" firstly to make sure the pronunciation was correct. When she gained confidence, she repeated in her mind, "Alacer!"

Oh Parnters or they can work alone. Okay she didn't mind working alone. She went up and got a camera fully ready work alone. That was until she seen a flash of red hair skipping her way. It was Lux. Big grins. She nodded when she asked her to partner up. "Yes please"

Glad to be working with her bestie. She never got to work with Lux on anything. Mostly because her and Bay were always partnered up together. How cute right? Ugh.

Only a little bit of concern was spared for the fact that Dot wanted to make little boys cry. The rest of it found her not choosing to take a picture of HIM to be of more importance.

Dima's face was meant to be her favorite face, did she know?

Upon getting his hands on a camera, the kid pulled the camera to his eye and began clicking away pictures of the redhead before him. Just 'cause she didn't want to take pictures of HIM didn't mean Dima couldn't photograph her, right? He decided to take a million of them and then choose the best two. That sounded like a very good plan of action.

Click. How many pictures was he up to now? The ones where she wasn't looking were the best.

Hey, he could see up Dot's nose in that one!

Awesome, they were going to be partners. Lux had never worked with Cinna before and this would be fun. They were going to take loads of pretty pictures together!

"Great! I think we should practice the spell first so that were ready when it comes time to develop the photos." Hopefully Cinna would agree with that. Looking at the board, Lux made a note of the incantation and wand movement. First she would work on the incantation. "AH-LAY-SUR... AH-LAY-SUR... ALACER." Not too difficult.

Surfacing from beneath his table, Zeke perched himself on the edge of his seat ready to attempt this charm thing they were doing. His wand was comfortably gripped in his hand, and he quickly read off the parchment in head his a few times to let the words sink in.

Alacer.

Ah-lay-sur ........ ah-lay-sur... ah-lay-sur... alacer.

It seemed easy enough, and having watched the Professor do it, all he had to do was tap his wand to the photo. He couldn't misfire with that now, could he? hehehe. Composing himself and thinking only of making the figures in his photograph move, Zeke tapped his Larch to the photo and recited the incantation as clearly as he could. "Alacur."

He waited.

...

But nothing happened. His pictures didn't move!

Samantha decided to practice the wand movement for the charm. Sure just tapping something with her wand was something she had done many times before but Sam liked to get wand movements correct no matter if they were simplistic or complicated. She grabbed her wand and tapped her desk lightly in the middle without saying or thinking the incantation to avoid any little accidents. Samantha practised a couple of times only because she felt confident in performing this charm/spell.
