Ella really didn't have anything she needed from Professor Botros. Instead she just really wanted someone to talk to about...the things going on. Someone who she looked up to and someone who she thought would be honest with her. Well...as honest as he could be given their student-teacher relationship. The blonde understood that he probably knew some things that she couldn't.

Knocking three times on the door, the sixteen year old stepped back and took a seat on the couch, hands placed in her lap.

Botros was on his hands and knees in the middle of his office when a knock came from the door. He had pieces of old torn parchments laid down on the floor, just like a scattered puzzle. Or well, it was a puzzle. Feo, his Crup, jumped from where he'd sat watching the old man and sprinted toward the door barking, happy for the distraction.

Ab struggled to get to his feet, using his staff and the chair nearby, waved it over the parchment pieces to hold them in their place and made his way to the door. If it was another banner this term too, he was so going to take it home to his room of memories. Upon opening the door, the Hufflepuff pinky-swear lovin' kid was sitting on one of the couched. Feo ran up to her, excited, and started jumping at her feet.

"Calm down boy, hello miss Bishop!" Oh look she had the badge, too. The professor gave her a wide smile, opening the door further. "Or shall we change that into Captain Bishop? Congratulations, I still find it rather extraordinary to see delicate young girls where beaters can get them." He worried too much and was rather old old-fashion, what else is new? "You want to come in?"

And then there was a Feo. GRIN. Ella smiled down at the little guy as he jumped up at her feet and pet him. "Hello there!" Her eyes flickered up to Professor Botros as she continued to pet Feo, her smile widening a bit at his appearance. "Hello Sir!" BEAM. I...Captain? "Either is just fine, really." And she might have been a bit pink because of the whole captain thing. She wasn't used to the title just yet. As for his comment on delicate young girls, Ella laughed. "Don't worry Sir, I'm no stranger to bludger hits and I'm pretty good at dodging them too." So he needn't worry about her. Nope. "I would, yes. I hope I'm not disturbing you." And she stood, tucking a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. "I just wanted to talk, if that's okay."

Dylan...was concerned.

CONCERNED.

Upon realizing some very upsetting things, he'd rushed to Professor Botros' office...Okay, not RUSHED, really. He was too exhausted to RUSH anywhere...More like fast walking...

Upon arriving to the Ancient Runes corridor, the blonde paused...seeing another blonde standing there. Ella. Nice....and Professor Botros was already out, talking to her. Could his issue wait?

Deciding that NO, it could NOT wait, he approached the pair.

Feo had stopped barking and busied himself with the girl's hands, chasing them as she moved them and bumping her leg gently, LET'S PLAY!

"I've seen you on the field. You're terrific and definitely deserve this badge. I still worry though. It's basically my job." He let out a small chuckle, "Not disturbing. Come on in, just be careful not to--"

The Crup juuumped toward the bigger human, MORE company was even better! More playing! He woofed and pranced at the boy's feet. Botros gave the other Captain a pleased look he'd give his oldest son before motioning with his hand to his pet, "Captain! Good to see you." And... he was wearing a very serious face. The old man motioned again for the crup to quiet down. "Is everything alright, son?" He studied the boy's face carefully.

N'awww, Feo was really cute and Ella couldn't help but giggle at the crup as he chased her hands. Adorable pet was adorable, okay?

BLUSH. "Thank you, Sir." Grin. "That means a lot and I worry lots too. It's sort of hard not to worry so I understand." Nodnod. And that's why she was here, y'know, cause she was worried. "Just be careful not to...?"

Oh, Dylish.

"Hello," Ella said quietly, noting the serious look on the older boy's face. She bit her lip and watched as Botros spoke to him, wondering if she should come back later or not. She could wait if Dylan needed to speak privately with the man. She didn't mind.

Is everything alright? No.

"Sir, I couldn't help but notice that the Runes Workshop is closed." Dylan rubbed tiredly at his face. He'd looked forward to coming back and doing more of those word searches...and playing with the clay. Nasty Slytherins could like that stuff, too. "Is there any word on when that'll be opened?"

FROWN.

He nodded to Ella briefly, acknowledging that she was standing there.

Oh phew. No one died. Botros let out a small sigh and put a hand on Bishop's shoulder, "Why don't you go ahead and wait in the office, miss Bishop? I'll be right behind you. There's tons of parchment papers on the floor, just be careful not to step on any. They're ancient." He offered her a polite smile and watched Feo follow!jumping after her.

Taking a step closer to the soon-to-be graduate, Botros tried to give the boy a don't-worry-smile but only managed to show concern. He didn't like it when kids faced tough situations that made them feel helpless. Especially kids that were not kids anymore and would want to assist or be productive. "As you have been informed at the feast, Mr. Montmorency, the school is undergoing a challenging... situation." The headmistress must've mentioned something about this, the students ought to be on the know to some extent or everything would go in chaos. "You might be surprised to know how much it costs to keep such a place open - Well, open with enough equipment." The room was still there, of course, but bare... save for the tables and chairs.

"However, even without a workshop, I still have some pretty challenging activities for you kids this term." BRO!SHOULDER-PAT. "It's really pleasing to see a student interested in Runes workshop, and cares enough to ask." He was going to miss the boy after this year.

Ella smiled and nodded at Professor Botros, giving Dylish a brief nod before tucking her hands into her pockets and heading right into Botros' office. "Come on, Feo!"

Wondering the corridors she came to the fifth floor and there was a door that stood slightly ajar, pushing it open with one hand while pulling the muggle vacuum cleaner with the other she coughed as a cloud of dust was produced from the movement of air. "Oh yes, this one definitely needs cleaning." She pointed her wand "Vacavus" and began running the vacuum cleaner over the floor making sure to get all of the dust up. As she worked, she pulled out her wand and repeated the incantation that was becoming her most used "Scourgify" she repeated as she pointed her wand at what looked like stones along the wall, once she had finished vacuuming the floor and removed the dust from the walls and other surfaces she realized she was in some sort of trophy room, but the trophies were stone? "what is this?" Reading carefully she read the following

The blonde grinned, she was excited about taking Ancient Runes, and now had something even more to strive for.

Feeling extra helpful and happy today, Eliza made her way to the office of Professor Botros. He was a nice man and had been kind to her last year, plus she really enjoyed his lessons. So, she'd gotten the idea to come and clean for him. He must be really busy and I'm sure he doesn't really want to clean, so I'll ask! She rounded the corner and saw him speaking with the Slytherin Captain at the moment, so she waved and smiled to let him know she was there, and then took a seat on the sofa and waited her turn, Astro vacuum nestled between her feet on the floor.

Botros smiled over at the girl with the strange thing at her feet. He remembered her from last term, she had thoughtful and splendid inputs. Only thing was that he wasn't sure which name went with the girl's face, was it Downsell? Downsol? Dawnsell? He needed to boost his memory potion soon, obviously. "Hello, forgive me that your name slipped my old head. How can I help... you?" He glanced again at the item at her feet.

She was looking around the waiting area, admiring the bright cheeriness of it all when the professor came over to speak with her. She stood and bowed her head at him slightly in greeting. "Hi! Oh, that's all right, I know you have a lot of students," she said with a smile. "I'm Eliza Dawnsel, sir." But she did hope that he'd remember her name after this year at least, since she planned to really put a lot of energy into his class. She thought ancient runes and languages of old were incredibly interesting. She might even pursue them after Hogwarts, but that was a long ways off yet. "And I was wondering if you needed anything in your office or your waiting area to be cleaned. You see, we've been given these muggle vacuums by Professor Flamsteed, and I thought that maybe you'd be awfully busy and with the house elves being gone, maybe you hadn't had the chance to tidy up yet." She was rambling a bit, but she wanted him to know the whole story. It would be odd if he got it into his head that she just walked around school with a muggle contraption all the time. She looked around her again and then back to him, "Not that it looks like anything here is dirty though, Professor. But maybe I could check under the sofas for you? I know the dust bunnies like to hide there sometimes." And yes, she did still feel that using a cleaning spell would be more efficient, but that's not what their Astronomy teacher had wanted them to learn how to do, so she would try to use the vacuum first and only the spells later as a last resort.

Oh wow.. this girl sure felt perky and up for a chat today, didn't she? Botros let out an impressed whistle when she mentioned the muggle vacuums, he even bent down to take a closer look at hers. "Brilliant move from professor Flamsteed, I'd say." The young man reminded him of his younger son sometimes, but more unpredictable and childish. In a good way.

He leaned forward on his cane as the Ravenclaw continued on about her assignment. "That is uber nice of you, miss Dawnsel! And you happen to come at a good time, too." He put a gentle hand on her shoulder before pointed at the sofas with his cane. "I hadn't worked on cleaning this place yet, it slips my mind all the time." Especially that he has to do some knee-bending effort, he kept postponing it. "I'd be really grateful for you if you just check under my sofas, Feo, my Crup, might've chewed something and threw it there. My office has dozens of parchments on the floor still, so I guess it's not a vacuuming area yet." Besides, he didn't feel comfortable to use the little kids too much. They were far too adorable to be cleaning offices.

"I thank you once again for considering this! Maybe we can have my Moroccan herbal tea after you're done." He grinned down at her.

She watched as Professor Botros looked at her vacuum and praised Professor Flamsteed. "Yes, it was quite the crafty lesson plan," she said with a grin. She knew the teachers were dolling out work that would help them clean up the castle, but she was okay with that because really, she enjoyed helping.

She especially liked helping people who could really use it, like Botros here. She had suspected that he hadn't knelt down lately to check under the sofas, and it seemed she'd been correct. She grinned when he said the word "uber". She liked that word for some reason. Probably because she didn't get to hear it very often. Always the modest one though, she simply smiled and glanced downwards briefly before she said, "Oh, you're welcome. It's no trouble at all." She nodded while she listened to his description of his office and his crup, Feo. "Well if your office isn't quite ready for the vacuum, the couches will do just fine!" she said with a chuckle, trying to imagine what reason there could be for spreading all of your papers on the floor. She knew it wasn't her place to ask, so she didn't. Yet.

She was especially glad she'd come to speak with him because now he was offering her special tea. What a sweet man! she thought fondly. "Oh thank you, Professor. I'd like that very much!" As soon as she was done cleaning she would surely welcome a nice cup of tea. She'd never had Moroccan tea before either, so that was a special treat. She loved trying new things.

She smiled at him once more before turning her attention to the sofas. First she knelt down, not wanting to suck up any of Feo's toys or prized possessions. Once she was eye level with the ground, her eyes passed over the area, searching for treasures. It was pretty dark down there, so she helped herself out a bit. "Lumos!" She aimed the wand under the couches and saw clearly the outline of a half-chewed bone. "Oh!" she uttered and reached her arm deeeep into the depths until her fingertips brushed it. She wasn't very good with the summoning spell yet, so for now her hands would have to do. Finally she got hold of it and carefully sat it behind her, away from the cleaning zone.

Well there's one toy down. Anything else? She shined her wand under the sofa again and checked behind all of the legs. There were a few crumpled pieces of paper that she picked up and sat behind her as well, but other than that, it looked ready for the muggle contraption. "Nox."

Aiming her wand at the vacuum now, she said the spell, "Vacavus!" The familiar vroooooooomshhhhhhh began and she knew it was working. Taking the hose in both of her hands, she ran it over the carpet several times. She was careful not to nick the sofa legs with the hose because she knew that would ruin the finish. Then again, she was sure someone would know how to fix that, but she careful just the same.

She ran the hose on the underside of the sofa too and watched as dust bounced from its fabric and was sucking into the tube. Still harder work than the cleaning spell, but at least it's more fun to watch! She continued to clean the floor and the sofa until the whole area looked clean enough to, well not eat off of, but walk barefoot on at least. She switched off the vacuum with a simple "Finite."

She clamped the hose back to the body of the vacuum and sat it upright. She then bent down to pick up the crumpled papers she'd found, opened them to read what was inside - just in case they were important or something - but finding nothing too interesting, she sat them back on the ground and vanished them. Now that she thought about it though, she wondered if Hogwarts recycled paper. She hadn't seen any bins but maybe... Too late now anyway.

The thirteen year old grabbed the bone, glad to have saved it for its owner, and dragged the vacuum behind her over to the Professor's door, where she knocked again. She was ready for tea if he still was. The cleaning had taken quite a while, but she hadn't seen him leave his office while she was there, so she assumed he was still inside and hopefully Feo was too. She was eager to reunite him with his bone.

Dora actually didn't ignore the portraits while they conversed, she stopped and listened and added helpful comments that seemed to encourage them to converse more vivaciously than before. She didn't let them distract her for long though, since she kinda had a mission she was on.

The fourth year continued on her way corridor and knocked on his door. Then she scanned the books and picked up one of the old comic books instead before sitting and waiting for the professor.

Ethan headed up the stairs towards the fifth floor. Making the turn down the corridor, the Prefect ignored the dusty old portraits as they conversed with each other and tried to engage him as well. He had more important things on his mind, which is why he made the trip to this particular floor. Ella had told him that Botros was a good person to talk to about certain things.. and he trusted her judgement. Hopefully he was in his office..

He turned once more in the direction of the professor's office and he slowed his pace. Huh. He had never been in this very specific part of the castle.. it was a kind of nice waiting area. He gave the area a cursory glance, then approached the door. Lifting his closed fist, Ethan gave the door a couple swift raps then turned to take a seat on the double couch. He wasn't completely sure if Ella was going to meet him here, but he hoped. She would back up his theory, he thought.. then hopefully the elderly man wouldn't just think he had completely lost his mind. Glancing down at the table, he picked up a random magazine and started flipping through it as he waited for an answer to his knock.

Ella had been thinking over what Ethan had told her and it made her very worried. If his theory was correct, well, lots of people she knew wouldn't be very happy, would they? Frown. The blonde continued on towards Professor Botros' office, knowing she'd find the older boy waiting there. She'd told him she'd come for moral support, yeah? Yeah.

"Hey there," She greeted quietly, taking a seat beside him. "So...you ready for this? I mean, you know what you want to say and stuff?" Not that he needed to prepare a speech or anything but Ella hoped he had some stuff in mind that he planned on sharing.

The blonde then sat back and her seat and watched the door, waiting for Botros to open up. Hopefully he was around to chat, yeah?

Botros had been out, visiting Leo and pondering whether or not he should continue upward to the Divination tower to see Callie when he spotted a couple of students standing at his door. He switched directions and walked down the corridor, his cane clanking sounds on the stony floor. "Good day, kids." He gave them a big smile, his rememberall glowing red and half-visible from his breast pocket. "What can I do for you?" Feo was with Leo today, thank Merlin, he could use some quiet conversations.

What was this magazine anyway? Seemed more like a digest version of a history textbook than anything. Ethan rolled his eyes slightly then closed the magazine up and put it back on the table. He'd just wait quietly.. it shouldn't be much longer, right? He lifted his eyes to the door.. it wasn't opening. Maybe the professor wasn't in?

He checked his watch and contemplated coming back another time when he saw a familiar blonde girl approaching. "Hi, Ella.." The Ravenclaw Prefect brightened a bit seeing the Hufflepuff Captain.. grateful that she did show up to support him with talking to Botros about this issue. Then maybe his ideas wouldn't seem so bizarre with someone else to back him up.. besides, she had as much reason to be concerned as he did if his reasoning was correct. He let out a long breath as he thought over her question. "Well, I didn't plan anything specific, I guess.." Should he have? He figured he'd just present the facts and see what the professor thought.. they would speak for themselves, yeah? "I mean, I kinda wrote down some shared traits the affected people exhibit along with my own personal observations." And those of a few others he spoke to.. along with the names of people he suspected to be under the influence of the "special" ice cream. Hopefully that would be enough to convince Botros to look into this and get some help with the matter. He was worried about Min's mental state especially.. what if the more exposed to it she was, the worse it got.. or did something permanent?

Ethan fell a bit lost in his thoughts, when he looked up to see the Ancient Runes professor headed towards them. Oh.. so he wasn't in his office, after all. Well, it was good luck for him then, that the older guy happened to be walking back to his office just now. "Good day, Professor," Ethan returned his greeting with a smile of his own. He rubbed the back of his neck, for a moment, contemplating. "Well.. we were hoping to have a word with you.. about something of a concerning matter.." And hopefully he would invite them in? Though his seating area was rather nice..

Ella smiled at Ethan encouragingly, nodding her head as he told her what he'd done. "I think that's fine. I just find writing stuff down helps sometimes when you want to share information." Y'know, so you didn't forget anything you wanted to say or something. Truthfully, after hearing Ethan's thoughts on the matter, the blonde was kind of frightened. Mostly cause Alec reasons but for other reasons too.

Oh, a Botros! The sixteen year old BEAMED at the man, waving a little. "Hello Professor, nice to see you!" She then listened as the Ravenclaw explained why they were here. "Mhm, what he said." Y'know, cause repeating stuff wasn't exactly helpful and Ethan seemed to have thought this out much more than Ella had.

He exchanged smiles and nods with the two before his face went serious, the Ravenclaw Prefect seemed to be troubled. "Concerning matter, you say? Hmm. Let's go into the office, then, shall we?" See, good timing! No Feo to distract them.

Botros tapped the door with his cane and held it open for both of them to go inside. "Be careful not to step on the parchments on the floor, they're arranged in a specific way." Bishop already knew that so it was more to the Ravenclaw boy.

While carrying the bag of duck food in one hand and a big bucket of ice cream in the other, Daichi waddled his way towards the old man's office. He had heard what happened to Sonea....no wait, he didn't , he had only heard that she needed to help people out for her punishment but not what had really happened. Either way, THAT'S WHY HE WAS HERE~! :3

He actually wanted to go to the duck pond first so that he could feed the ducks but later decided against it and first visit the old man. Reaching the seating area, Daichi walked to the office door and KNOCK KNOCK KNOOOOOOCKED on the door.

He then turned around , sat down and ate from his yummy ice cream.

Botros was scribbling frantically rushly on a piece of parchment inside the office when a series of knocks interrupted him. "Come on in!" He called out from where he sat behind his desk and the door to his office swung open.
