Hmm...sugar...or winning....?
Tough decision.
OH BUT HOLD ON!!! She was taking the cupcake for her cat??? The cat she met when she snuck into her office to eat the sorting hat?? WHAAAT? That was like a waste--but the perfect opportunity for her to keep the game going. Still staring plainly at the woman she pointed to the pastry behind her back once more. "Well can I have it? I don't think stuff like that is good for them." You know, that way she wouldn't have to look away to get her own? It made sense!
Lex nearly snorted, yes snorted at the next thing the woman said. The summer was never meant for such tedious things and even worse, Alexa Cambridge did NOT read. Pfffffft. "I think I'll be fine, the school term's enough and my brain might very well die. Can't let that happen, see, 'cause then I'd be like all the brainless id--" Uh...Ahem, "planning anything epic for your summer, ma'am?"
Posh tosh, her cat could care less what was good for him. The Headmistress knew what this Gryffindor was up to, uh huh.
"Well I've already put my thumb in it, now, see, Gingersnapple won't eat it if you've touched it too." Anastasia slowly removed the cupcake from behind her back to show Alexa its smushed-in frosting. Thumbprint and all. *smirk*
She tried hard not to roll her eyes at the child's explanation of brain death. "Actually your brain will wither away if you DON'T use it. Studies have shown that the more synapses you have, which you form through education and playing mental games, puzzles, and learning new information, the less likely you are to suffer from dementia and Alzheimer's later in life." The educator smiled sweetly, hoping she was indeed torturing Alexa's little brain with those big words and long phrases. Hehehehehe. Now she'd think twice before striking up another conversation with the Bunz, eh?
No apparently not. "I am planning to...catch some sun and maybe some surf. We'll see." She shrugged. Another visit to Cairo would be nice, to see her niece. Or France. France was always nice.

Fourth place was better than no place. Alice kept telling herself so as she hopped up onto the stage and collected her team's trophy, just as the redhead had asked. She beamed, too, proudly displaying those two lovely rows of her pearly white shark teeth in a huge grin. "Thanks, Miss Headmistress." And then she jumped back off the stage like a real lady and headed back over to her Captain companion.
SHARKEY HAD RETRIEVED THE TROPHY, K? 'Twas safe to proceed.
ALSO. She was wondering if Dora had asked certain things yet. And she peeked over at the lovebirds and saw.. kissing. That was good, yeah?
And there was the captain now, hurray. "You're welcome, Miss Clark." Anastasia returned the biter's grin with a much more reserved, but genuine one all the same.
Then it was on to the next winner! She held up a slightly larger bronze statuette. "Our second runner-up for the season is Ravenclaw. The mighty Eagles finished in third place with 375 points for the season. Congratulations Captain Shacklebolt."
The Headmistress gave the Ravenclaw boy a good long, hard stare, as though she were ascertaining whether or not he was wearing a wig...? Either way, he needed to come get his trophy, because she had others to hand out.
"The silver statue," Anastasia continued announcing, "goes to our first runner-up, the second place Slytherin Snakes! Slytherin played brilliantly this term with a combined team total of 430 points scored. Congratulations, Mister Montmorency!"
And where was he now? Merlin, these children! It was like they had had enough of trophies so far this term! And she wasn't even done yet!
"Finally," Annie hefted the much much larger, golden Hufflepuff Quidditch Cup up in the air. "This one goes out to Hufflepuff, our Golden Badger Champions!" For how many terms in a row now? "Hufflepuff finished the season with a solid 590 points scored and 41 points on the Quidditch player leaderboard," which Erin could explain in more detail if she so wished.
"Congratulations, Hufflepuff! Please come collect your trophy." She gave a nod to the Nessie girl. Hurry, girl, the trophy was heavy!

Milton had hair? Since when? "Whatever you say." Not. He most definitely did not have hair. "The first cupcake, the one that Jake threw, had blue icing. But I added some red 'cause red is pretty." And his head was being prettified. "The colors look very nice together. I think it'll turn purple in a lil' while."
Oh. Oh, but TROPHY. Alice wiped her icing covered fingers off on the napkin again before jumping up.
Milton nodded at Alice's question. "Yeah, for starters. I might do something else later, but if I like it... My dad says it could be mine someday." But that depended how much Milton could tolerate other people. That was a work in progress.
Snort. Why did no one believe him when he said he had hair? It was THERE, he just kept it INSIDE his head. Whaaaatever. "Oh, how wonderful." He was going to have purple melty frosting-hair soon.
When Alice was called up to receive the trophy, Milton watched with a small and clapped for the little biter. She was kind of adorable. "Congrats, Chompers." New nickname? Sure.

Woooo, his turn!
Milton hopped up from his seat and jogged up to the Headmistress and gave her a BIG OL' WINKY FACE. Hell, school was almost over and he would never see her again. He could do what he wanted! Like put cows in her office.
"Thank you, Headmistress, for this super shiny trophy." He accepted it and showed it off to the crowd before heading back to his seat next to his fellow Captain.

He reached over and grabbed another cupcake before turning back to the seventh year. "I... sorry! I didn't mean to... I... yeah..." he said, holding out the cupcake which, conveniently enough, was pink!
OH! She was hugging him! Alec grinned and wrapped his arms around the older girl in return, trying to make sure that the icing on the cupcakes didn't go on her hair as well. The girl would not like that. "Hey Violet!" GRIN. "Oh! Awesome! And... erm... you look really proud to be a Hufflepuff today!" Not that she wasn't always but... this was a celebration and she had come wearing yellow. Hufflepuff pride. Nodnod.
Violet wanted to squeal by how kind Alec was to give her another cupcake after she had dropped hers to the floor. And not only that it just coincidentally happened to Violet's favorite color! But she managed to conceal her high-pitched squeal, for now, making it possible for Violet to say very excitedly,"Awww Alec! It's quite alright! Thank you so much for the cupcake!"
She giggled when Alec had made a comment about how she looked really proud to be a Hufflepuff today. Violet smiled brightly saying,"Of course! Especially after you guys played such an AMAZING match! How could I NOT represent such an amazing House!" She added,"I really don't think words can describe how proud I am of you all! You all must feel like you are on..hmm..how do you say...Cloud nine?" A light giggle escaped her lips again.

"Oh I dunno...I mean I guess I'm just really glad to see you because we haven't gotten to hang out much because of Quidditch and well...I miss your face!" Mhm, she did! She also missed tea parties but they could have more of those soon, right? Even if it was during the summer or something? BLUSH. "Thanks Vi!" GRIN! "We really have a great team and everyone played so well! I'm just really happy we got the cup cause we worked really hard for it." Really really hard.
Still gripping tightly onto the younger blonde, a bright smile was spread across her face as she listened to Ella. Violet then shook her head,"Don't you try to apologize for that Elly Bean, I am not upset with you at all for this! True I do wish that we could have have another one of our AMAZING Tea Parties before our time together would be coming to end at school..But clearly those practices paid off.." she giggled. Violet smiled brightly saying,"Aww! Elly Bean! I've missed your adorably bright & sunny face too!"
She nodded immediately agreeing with Elly Bean,"Yes! I am honestly not surprised that our House came with such an amazing team! I could totally see you all really wanted this..And I am just so blessed to have been able to witness SUCH dedication.." Violet giggled.

Violet's violet eyes directly went towards the Headmistress as she began to give out the awards to the Houses & Violet was smiling with each award that went out to each House. And she showed each student the same happy reaction at the mention of their names when they had been called. But of course it was Hufflepuff had been mentioned did Violet's energy really kick in.
When Miss Truebridge had presented the Quidditch Cup to her House, Violet couldn't contain herself any longer and she squealed out,"YAY HUFFLEPUFF!!!!!! Right after this she began hopping up & down, along with clapping, with her continuous cheering on top of that. Violet then noticed that Truebridge was seeming to be looking a little tired from holding the Trophy. She did want to go and politely offer to help her, but she knew that the Quidditch Team had to do this. Hopefully someone would go and help the Headmistress quickly!

Alyssa whooped and cheered as each of the House Captains went up to hoist their own trophies.
But she cheered and whooped the loudest when Professor James announced that their House Team were the Champions. She kept on cheering and clapping as she waited for Ness to go up on stage and hold up their Cup.
