And then Jacen returned... and now he was offering to fly with her? Really? Now he didn't mind being seen with her? "Thanks Jacen. I'll get it cleared so you don't have to go by portkey." Even though she was surprised at his sudden attitude change she was happy for it. She really did need to have someone there with her when traveling that far by broom.
Cece glared at this guy. "I don't care how safe you say they are. I will not be using one. I'll be using this broom." And if this guy thought he was going to stop Jacen from flying with her, she would be using that broom to smack him upside the head with something other than flying.
"I don't know who you think you are here but this boy WILL be flying with me. If you have a problem with that then you can just take it up with Minister Greingoth. I'm sure he'll have no problem with letting Jacen fly with me." She really didn't care right now what the orders were of the headmistress. Her cousin would be flying with her.
And that was her final word.
His work here was done, no? Yeah, the Ministry official Armen Recard had pretty much saved the day and assured worried blondes that things would be okay. Turning to leave Recard began to walk away but was stopped by the suddenly rude tone of the woman from before.
"Who do I think I am? Ma'am I am Armen Recard, Department Head of Magical Transportation here on orders from your Headmistress and Minister Greingoth would approve of my meathods." he started on her, the Minister and him had never really seen eye to eye but the fact that Armen was getting the man's daughter safely to school would no doubt help things.
Oh so she was going over Mrs. Truebridge and pulling the Minister card...with the Board of Governors heads on board and all? Fine. "Alright lady, it's on your head if you get lost or lose the child on the way." And with that he turned and headed down the train to help less annoying passengers.
"Its okay Miss Healer." Okay. "Don't die or anything." Or break his broom.
...And maybe when he got his broom back Healer Tillstorm could hug him some more?
Giving West one final squeeze Cece let go of him. "I promise not to die. You'll be seeing me again in just a little bit." She just hadn't decided if it would be at the platform or at the feast.

She then turned back to her cousin. "Go get that broom of yours. We're heading out now." Mr. Armen Recard, Department Head of Magical Transportation could just take care of things here... without her help at all.

Then she was messing with something...
Sierra caught Dylan looking at her, and she just looked back at him with her big, brown eyes. She was waiting for him to say something, anything. He was the man around here, after all. Well, him and this new guy, but...she didn't know the new guy all that well. She grinned, however, when the color drained from Dylan's face. Too amusing, Capt'n. Too amusing.
"Had you fallen in my lap, I'd have pushed you off," she said with a shrug. Her face was playful, though. "So I guess you're better off with that grip of yours." She grew serious again when he mentioned that he thought the ordeal was just a mechanical issue. "Right," she said, trying to agree. "A mechanical issue..."
Let's just hope so.

Was that the new headmistress Cece heard out there? How had she missed that woman being on the train? Better yet, why was she on the train and why was she insisting everyone sit? It was just a few lights that flickered. Was the woman trying to scare the kids here or what?
And then the train came to a neck breaking stop. NOW what was the problem? This seriously couldn't be happening. This blasted train was the one sure way Cece thought she would be able to get back to school without any problems. She really didn't have time to think about that right now though, she had students there with her that she needed to worry about first. "Sierra, Jacen, you two alright?" And then Dylan and West were there too. Where did they come from? "Dylan, West, are you two alright?" Dylan seemed a bit shaken up there, although he was trying to put on a brave face it seemed.
OH FOR THE LOVE OF MERLIN!
Could this night get any worse than it already was? There was NO way Cece was using a portkey to get to Hogsmeade. That had been the main reason for her riding the train.
After making sure the students were alright she went up to Mister Armen Recard. "Um excuse me, but is this really necessary? Because there's no way I can use a portkey tonight." Couldn't they just fix the blasted train and get them back on their way? How hard could it be to get it going again?
She was...
Wait, what? Why would anybody not like the Healer? Sierra hadn't had many experiences with her, maybe two, but that made two times this woman had saved the life of somebody in her family. Sierra was one of those people, too.
Before she could ask anything else about that, though, the Healer was going through introductions again, this time revealing that Jacen was her cousin. "Ahh," she said, nodding her head. So now she wasn't the only kid around school related to a staff member. Looking toward Jacen, she said, "Your cousin's amazing. You're really lucky to have her, you know."
Things starting getting out of control then, and Sierra found herself nodding at the Healer's question. She was alright, yes, but no--the Healer couldn't just travel by portkey. "You'll be okay, won't you?" Sierra asked, a slight amount of panic in her eyes.

Or, he used to be, at least. Apparently, he'd been moved back up to his old position, from the way things sounded.
Portkeys...
That made sense anyway. Why couldn't they always use portkeys?! It'd be a lot faster and, if this trip was any indication, a lot less aggravating. She bent down and scooped up an item, a broken alarm clock, and then felt herself being tugged away...

"I um...well thanks but I should really practice more." Then maybe one day she really would be great. She'd really like to be as great at something as Alec was at being a seeker. That would be wicked. And speaking of Quidditch...A Quidditch video game? That would be AMAZING! Yeah. She'd definitely want to buy that! "I don't know! I mean...it would be so cool if they did! Maybe you could invent it one day?" Yeah! Alec could invent it and be a famous video game maker or something! How cool would that be? And maybe he'd let Ells help design the game or something!
Alec seemed equally impressed with Tag's eating skills which made Ella grin even more. They were a lot alike, her and Alec. It was kind of nice knowing someone who thought the way you did about things. She bounced a bit in her seat, nodding enthusiastically. "Yeah...well it was actually a chocolate dragon but he like...he ate it SO fast! I bet he could definitely do it again!" That would be fun to watch! Hey! Maybe Tag could enter chocolate eating contests or something! Ella and Alec could cheer him on, too! That would be fun. They could be his cheerleaders or something...except Alec wouldn't have to wear a skirt. Obviously. Heh. And then the hair whipper was making a really good point. Everyone loved Hogwarts so of course Messy would be returning. He had to! It was HOGWARTS! "I bet you're right. I bet his sister kept him really busy and he's um...well he's probably sitting in a compartment with like...maybe Sophie or somebody!" And she frowned slightly, looking out the window. She missed Sophie A LOT. Anyway..."I hope we make a great pair." GRIN. Oh! And Alec was surprised about...being funny? Had no one told him that before? Ells smiled, nodding. "Yes you, the hair whipper! You're quite funny." Mhm! "Welcome!"
Ella was frowning now that she was talking about Casper. She felt...bad about saying something not so nice about Theodore's brother but he had been, in all truthfulness, unpleasant. "He um...yeah. He's not so nice." Which was actually surprising considering how awesome Theo was. And the freak thing...it was REALLY mean, yeah? Ella nodded seriously, her brow furrowed. "That's what he said and I...well I said that too. What you said, I mean. I told him we aren't freaks." Though she wasn't sure Casper believed her. And as Ells then continued to giggle about Alec hugging the wizard hater, she couldn't help but notice that he wasn't laughing. EEP. Was she being not so nice right now? Frown. She sat up straight, face flushed from laughing. "I'm sorry...I just...well after meeting Casper I just imagined his face after a hug and I um." And she really hoped she hadn't hurt Alec's feelings. She never wanted to do that. "You're not mad at me, are you?" Ells hoped not.
Alec looked out of the window, trying to think of a good enough answer for Ella. He tried thinking about himself and how he would feel if he was really unique. It was good, yeah. It meant that you were different and... well... that was great, right? Yeah. "I guess..." he started, looking back at the blonde girl, "It great! I mean... you're a lot of fun to be around, if you're unique. And there's no one else like you... so... yeah!" Did any of that make sense to the girl? Alec hoped so! And then she went on to... backup her compliment? Yeah, that's what it sounded like. But, it was still nice. "You're really awesome, you know, Ells," Really. Wait, WHAT?! Ella Bishop, the Queen of all things related to Gummy Worms, hasn't seen a black gummy worm before?! Oh... but if there weren't any black gummy worms, then it was okay for Ella to have never seen one, right? Yeah, because it didn't exist. "Yeah... someone should make some black gummy worms," As for the flavour... "Erm... how about... licorice? I mean... licorice wands are black and... well... how does that sound?" You know, since she was the expert between the two.
And... Alec was confused again. That smile on Ella's face... she didn't smile like that a lot, did she? And it reminded him of a smile that often crossed his face when someone had complimented him and he was confused about how to reply. Yeah. But... that couldn't be what Ella was going through, right? After all, she was a girl! Weren't these things different for girls and guys? "Erm... well... Tag has a guitar, I think. And Bliss!" He had just heard Bliss singing and seen her playing the guitar so... yeah. They could help Ells. But... wait. "Do you know Bliss? Bliss Ryans?" They did need to meet if they haven't already met before. Bliss was awesome! Wait, Ella thought that he could invent a video game?! REALLY?! Alec grinned at her. "I... erm... sure! Yeah!" How awesome would that be?!"Yeah... erm... will you help me though? I mean... it would be great to invent it with someone else." And Ella was pretty creative what with the wedding planning business her and Alice had set up.
Ella seemed to be really enthusiastic! Just look at her bouncing around! A chocolate... dragon?! "There are chocolate dragons?!" Since when?! And how was it that he hadn't tried one before?! And... should be stay clear from eating chocolate dragons around Blue? You know... just in case. "I hope so!" he said, nodding his head. He really did want to see Tag trying to eat a chocolate dragon really quickly! So... if there were chocolate frogs and chocolate dragons... were there other types of chocolatey animals as well? Like ducks? But before he could ask Ella any of this, she started talking about Messy and his disappearance act. "Yeah... yeah, he might be sitting with Sophs or-" But he was cut short by the look on Ella's face. Yeah... this was hard for her, wasn't it? All this talk about Sophie? "Erm... you know... I bet she misses you as well." Yeah, she probably did. They were best friends, weren't they? And even though him and Anya hadn't had a fight recently, he still missed her. He missed her a lot, actually. Wait, hair whipper?! Alec let out a small chuckle at this new nickname. Or... had Ella called him that before? "I... well, thanks! You're pretty funny as well, you know," he said, nodding his head.
Not so nice... Alec thought back to his meeting with Casper and the look of disgust on his face when he realised how Alec knew him. Yeah... even if he had hugged a complete stranger and called him his brother's name... that wasn't really nice. "Erm... hey, at least Theo's... erm... nice. And awesome!" Theo was nice, really. And there was no doubt about the 'awesome' thing. "Oh... yeah," Ella would have fought the wizarding corner. It seems like something she would do. "Erm... he just... is he magical? Casper?" Because if he wasn't... wait, what was he doing around Diagon Alley if he wasn't magical? Before he could ponder on this too much, Ells was sitting up and looking at him again. And... apologising? What?! "I... you don't have to apologise, Ells!" Really, even he found it funny and he was the one that did it. "I mean... yeah, what you're imagining is right. He was... erm... not really happy." Angry, really. The guy pushed Alec off of him! O_O "Erm... I'd never be mad at you, Ells." He gave her a warm smile right before...

... a million and one things happened at once.
Alec was confused. One minute, they were sitting and just talking about gummy worms, Quidditch and Theo's brother Casper and now... GUMMY WORMS WERE FLYING EVERYWHERE! Alec flew forwards and landed on his stomach as the train jerked to a halt. He sat up and shook some gummy worms out of his hair. This... was a waste of sweets!
The thirteen year old looked over at his fellow third year, a confused expression crossing his face. And, judging by the look on her face, she seemed to be confused as well. Great. "I... I have no idea..." he whispered back. The flickering of lights, the train jerking to a halt and all this... darkness. Yeah... it wasn't nice at all. What was going to happen now?!
And... then the answer came in the form of a tall man. GULP. Alec stood up, took hold of Ella's hand and started walking with her towards the tall man and the- WHAT IN THE NAME OF SUPERMAN'S SUPER SENSES WERE THOSE?! Confused, he looked between the items and the man before looking down again. Portkeys?! What were those?! And... why were the items glowing?! The Hufflepuff ruffled his hair and looked around. People were... touching the items and then DISAPPEARING! O_______O
Alec gulped again and looked down at the nearest item. Please, don't make this painful... Carefully, he touched the glowing item that some other people were holding and waited...
... and then he was gone.

Portkeys? They had to get portkeys to hogwarts. Now that sounded pretty cool. Indy would've prefered the train to go all the way there, but this was pretty cool. Although she didn't really get why they couldn't just use magic to get the train going. Or blame the train driver. Seriously who went on a steam train and didn't bring enough coal. Oh well. Indy was excited. She was excited to use a portkey for the first time. It was going to be cool. Hopefully she wouldn't get hurt though. One would only find out if One had a go. Indy beamed, stepping towards one of the portkeys. "This is fun..." She mused to her nearest fellow student, before she put her finger onto the thingy portkey. With a poof, she and the portkey was gone.

They were thrown from their seats when it came to a sudden stop and she scrambled back up and moved closer to Ari and Silvia as she tried to remain calm. Her eyes kept shifting from the window to the compartment door as she waited for the next move.
Kennedy had , in fact, been passed out in one of the compartments. After what happened back at King's Cross he had needed time to cool off and get a hold of his...whatever it was he was feeling. Also, the headache that had bloomed at the train station had only intensified. He had patrolled the halls somewhat, but when he saw this empty compartment he decided it wouldn't be bad if he just closed his eyes for five minutes. Those five minutes doubled...then tripled until he was thrown off the seat.
The Slytherin sprang up, his wand in his hand, pointing at nothing. Ever since the summer incident Kennedy's senses have been on overdrive. He rubbed his head and frowned. Where they already at Hogwarts? He opened the door to hallway and caught almost everything.
The train stopped?
His frown deepened and then he saw her. Sierra, but she was going toward the crowd. Damn it. Had he really slept that long he missed whatever was going on? He rushed toward the crowd, his eyes catching the glowing items. Portkeys?
Okay, what WAS going on?
Whatever it was, Kennedy wasn't going to risk getting left behind. He took hold of whatever blue glowing thing and felt that strange pulling sensation.

Damon looked at her then Maxwell and Taylor, "Just grab hold of one of the portkeys, I'm sure they'll get our bags to us later," He lightly laid a hand on the broken alarm clock after putting Pixel inside his school robe for protection. He sighed, this was definitely odd... But he'd obviously been hit with much worse, even with only being sixteen. A train breaking down was nothing, just a little malfunction, even magical things screwed up sometimes.

The minutes seemed to drag on in the darkness. Occasionally Silvia saw a faint light and movement from outside the train, but otherwise she did not know what was going on. Finally she saw a light coming down the train corridor and a voice announced that he was from the Department of Magical Transportation and had portkeys. Good! Something was being done about the situation after all. Still, Silvia wished she knew what was going on, but from the sounds of it, even the adults did not know what had gone wrong.
She picked up her bag from where it had fallen onto the floor and slipped it over her shoulder. She grabbed Ptolemy’s cage as well. Normally owls and trunks would be left on the train and transported to the castle during the feast, but under these circumstances she wasn’t going to leave him here. She walked over to the compartment door and opened it wide. “We need to grab on to a portkey. Have either of you travelled by portkey before?” Silvia had once, but that was a long time ago. “Just grab your pets and place a finger on one of the portkeys, and don’t let go until we get there.” Silvia did just that, reaching her hand forward to the closest portkey, and waited to be whisked off.

Once Sierra was gone Cece waited for Jacen to return. She still didn't know if she was going to go to the platform or not. She really just wanted to get to the school and rest before the feast. She had a feeling there wouldn't be much resting going on though. Plus,she felt the need to check and make sure Sierra made it there okay. She felt a responsibility to the girl... and her family.
Once she seen Jacen coming back she went outside, mounted her West's broom then took off. "Let's go slow poke," she said with a grin. Just because she was... older than him didn't mean she was going to go slow. She had a child to look after and she couldn't do that from here.

"I guess we should go now..." she said taking ahold of the rubber duck and preparing herself to be taken to the station.
Cardigan happily listened along to Lily, glad to find someone she knew, as a friend. After a whole summer in her mum's hometown visiting relatives, she had pretty much lost all connection with the "outside world", seeing her family was pretty isolated. What a drag! Suddenly, the lights began to flicker, then going back to normal. "Huh?" was all she could manage to let out. This REALLY scared her. Some ministry guy walked down the aisle, telling everyone to stay in their seats, just as the train came to an abrupt stop. She hit the wall hard, bruising her face quite a bit. Geez did that hurt! Well, it'd just have to be dealed with at Hogwarts.
What happened with the train?!?! Did it break down?!? Well, it must've, because the ministry guy came by again, talking about how they would have to take portkeys to get to Hogwarts this time. Well this scary, she thought, hoisting her bookbag onto her back, her broom sticking hazardously out. She'd fix if when she bottom the station. She really didn't have tine right now. "Yeah," she said, grabbing a hold of the rubber duck Lily had grabbed. Did she know hoe a portkey worked? Not really.
Will made his way through the corridor of the train looking for an empty compartment, or one with a rather nice looking person whom he wouldn't mind making the entire train ride with. He finally found one that was unoccupied and snagged it while he had the chance.
For the first time he was able to clear his head since the last term had ended. He was coming back to Hogwarts now for a second year, even though he was catagorized as a sixth year. He was back once again from Durmstrang after yet another trying year. This time he was determined to make Hogwarts work for him. The last time he was at the school he was a fouth year and it hadn't exactly worked out. Truth be told that he didn't really put the effort into it that he should have, but this year was going to be different.
He let everything that had happened the past year run through his head, and finally decided that he was just going to put everything behind him and move forward. He pulled out of his pocket the most recent of many letters that he had received over the past term. These letters were the one good thing that he was looking forward to at Hogwarts. After getting in a better mood he finally took out a pad out of his bag and began to sketch the passing landscape, a hoby of his for many years. Yes, this was the way to start off another year.

Awar was pretty scared at this point. Nobody really knew what was going on. Silvia spotted someone down the corridor. Apparently someone from The Department of Magical Transportation. Silvia then got up and got her owl and asked them about portkeys. Portkeys? Yes, I know them."My father told me about Portkeys." She got up and reached up to her stuff. With a shaking hand she grabbed Pegasus's cage. "Let's try to keep calm, Peggy." She followed Silvia out. Awar looked at them both before looking down at the object in front of her. She took a deep breath and placed her finger on the portkey.
After jumping aboard the train, Armen Recard made his way into the back section with his wand lit in one hand to shine his way through the dark compartments. When he entered the place he could see that chaos had begun to ensue, naturally, and that the students were all currently sitting in the floor and standing around, eyes wide.
"Hey kids, Armen Recard Department Head Of Magical Transportation for the Ministry here. Your Headmistress summoned me to help out with the Train problem and well...we can't fix it so we will be travelling by Portkey this evening." He dropped the sack of objects onto the floor infront of him. "Don't worry, it's perfectly safe and if you are new to it, just watch what everyone else does."
The Ministry official pulled out an old leather boot, a broken alarm clock, a rubber duck, a baby's pacifier, and toothbrush. "Everyone gather around one of the items here and make sure you touch it in order to be transported. We are meeting up at the Hogsmeade train station like normal. Don't leave the platform until we all arrive."
And with that the items began to glow BLUE ready to take off.

Jayden sighed, rolling her eyes in annoyance. Of course, the minute she thinks that things are going to be JUST FINE. Something crazy happens, typical Hogwarts. "Ah well... go with the flow..." She sighed, touching the baby's pacifier with the tip of her pointer finger.
Feeling restless, Alex wandered the train corridor. She was determined to meet new people and make new friends this year....or else. Peeking into the various compartments, she spotted a girl sitting alone. Opening the door carefully, she peeked inside. "Hi, do you mind if I come in? My name is Alex."
No, I don't mind at all. My name is Sophie. It's my first year at hogwarts, how about you?

Anastasia burst into the back cars of the train, coming straight from the luggage car. Interestingly enough, she now had a rather stuffed purse on her arm and a few stray hairs were out of place. What had the Headmistress been up to while the students were being evacuated?
And were there still stragglers in here? "YOU. You. YOU. All of you," the woman pointed, gesturing for the leftovers to grab a portkey. "Get a hold of one of those and GO. We're late for the feast."
She narrowed her eyes at the students and watched and waited for them to do as she'd commanded. Once the kids and the portkeys had disappeared, Annie marched through the empty compartment and into the next one.
