Hmmm, hard to believe that in all her marching up and down the train she hadn't made it to the end of the train as yet. Seeking to correct this of course the 11 year old skipped and hopped until she was there. Felix was getting tired of all this moving around but there was nothing she could about it. He didn't want to stay in his cage and she didn't want to stay in one place for too long.

Walking into a compartment she rested the grouchy feline on the seat then sat opposite him.

"So what do you think Felix?" She asked, looking around. The end looked so different from the front.

Scratch. Stare. Yawn. Curl up.

"Yeah... I like the top of the train better too." Just then she saw something zip past the window. Without thinking she stuck half her body through the window, her stomach resting on the window ledge as she tried to see what it was. The wind in her face was heavenly. "Oh my gosh Felix! You have to try this!" She encouraged. "This feels amazing!" She shouted.

Taylor's head turned just in time to see Erick. "Hey, Erick!" She smiled sweetly and waved then looked back at her friend, Arabella-Marie.

Awarlesta jumped startled. She looked behind herself and didn't see anyone. Oh! They're talking to me! She giggled to herself and joined their group.
"Hi. I'm Awarlesta Black." She said smiling and holding out a hand.

Hearing Lewis' name caused Kurumi's cheeks to intensify in color instantly. Every moment with Lewis was fun really, well...minus what had happened before they had finally said those three words to each other in the prefect's bathroom last term. That time had not been fun. But this summer...staying at his home and meeting his family...that had been...incredible. And for a lot of reasons. "Y-Yes," she managed to spit out before her blushing overtook her completely.

Kurumi took another step forward and heard something crunch under her foot, which is why she looked down to see the crumbled up mess of the school's gossip magazine. Oh, Merlin...issues out already? She should have known. Kurumi only gave the paper a quick glance over when....wait....huh? "You...have your eye on me? What does that mean?" Like he was watching out for her like how Treyen did?

"Oh, I'm sorry," Elijah said, taking a moment to stop to rest a hand on her right shoulder in comfort. "I hadn't even thought about this being your last train journey. Truth is I'm trying not to think of it either. This'll be Vee's last one too, and I don't want him to graduate without me."

"Yes, no depression! I will go flash my backside to the new Headmistress before I see a sad face on you Kurumi Hollingberry!" he promised, laughing at the ridiculousness that was himself.

And then: zzzzZzzZzzZzZzzZZzz *snorrreeeeee*

Oh wait, had she finished talking about her and Lewis' time together? Sure, Elijah had asked but he didn't really want to know! He'd rather be kissed by dementors than have to listen to all their HAPPINESS and JOY and COUPLEYNESS. Eugh.

Although, externally he smiled and nodded at the right places, doing a good job of acting out the part of an genuinely interested, ridiculously handsome Hufflepuff. "That sounds like so much fun! I'm glad you had a good time."

Elijah saw Kurumi stop and bend down from the corner of his eye and so, naturally, he stopped, also, waiting for her to finish doing whatever she was doing. Tying her shoelaces? Oh, no, cleaning up some litter. This girl really was a goody two shoes. However, the next words that came out of her mouth seriously confused him.

"My eye on you?" he asked as if seeking extra clarity, unsure if she was muttering to herself again or if she was actually referring to him. He took the paper from her and realised at once what the damn thing was.

Aparecium. Guh.

And it seemed he had made it onto an article... "I hate this thing. It never knows what it's talking about," Elijah grumbled to the Gryffindor. "I think it must just be discussing how I look out for you, ya know? I see you as a good friend so I want to protect you, so I keep an eye on you. Make sure no one hurts you," yep, that sounded like a fffinneee explanation to him.

Aspen wasn't exactly feeling up to friends or family or anything familiar. She was avoiding things that began with F apparently. So, that's how she ended up in a compartment with Elijah and Kurumi. Neither of them began with F.

She heard the tail end of this no doubt riveting conversation between Hufflepuff and Prefect.

Before she sat, without asking, Aspen paused to stare in turn at each of them. Then, quietly offered, "I can show you how to keep an eye on someone. Properly."

And literally. A sloooooooooow smile appeared on the Ravenclaw's face and she waited for a volunteer.

Ella grinned, leaning forward to take the bag from Alec. Mmmm. Just what she needed to make the long train ride better, food and a friend! "Thanks!" She said sincerely, offering him a small smile. Oh, and he was going to have some gummy worms as well? BEAM. BEAM. BEAM. "You're welcome. The green ones are my favorite, y'know. I like them cause they're super...lime-y. If that's even a thing." But it totally was, yeah? Alec knew what she was talking about, right? He was a sweets person too, after all!

Ella saw the shuffle and raised her eyebrows just a little. Was he telling the truth? She really hoped so. She wanted Alec to have a great summer cause he was super nice and deserved one. Mhm! "Ice cream and video games, huh? That sounds...that sounds like fun!" Especially the ice cream part. That sounded amazing. "Though I'm kind of rubbish at video games...Dad always beats me. I think he secretly kinda enjoys it..." She said thoughtfully before giggling softly. "And friends? I mean...did you see Messy at all?" Not that Messer was Alec's only friend, she just figured he was one of Alec's best ones. As for her summer...Ella frowned slightly but quickly changed her expression to a neutral one. "Mine was...pretty good. I ate a lot of ice cream too...and I um...I got a new puppy! His name is Dino." Yeah. Those had been the exciting parts of the summer. Everything else had been...pretty bad, actually. Well except-"I also met Theodore's twin brother, Casper. That was...interesting."

Ari smiled brightly as the girl entered the compartment to join her and Sylvia. She looked pretty young, probably not much older than Ariella herself... Oooo! Maybe she a first year like Ari! That would be fun and she looked really nice!

"Nice to meet you Awarlesta! That's quite a name!" Ari tried it out a few times to make sure she was pronouncing it right, "I'm Ariella, but you can call me Ari!"

Kalo slid the door of the compartment open, thankful to find it empty. She took a seat by the window. She could hear the chatter of the other students in the compartment next to hers. She sighed and stared out the window, she couldn't wait for the trip to end so she could get off this crowded train. She glanced up at the door, awaiting Angel inevitable appearence. Hopefully, the bubbly girl would be tired and leave her alone. Kalo shook her head, fat chance. That girl was always active...

Carigan had passed Laura in the COrridor because she seemed a bit tangled witht hat other girl who she had run into. She sidled into an empty compartment at the back of the train and lifted her trunk into the upper compartment and then set her birdcage onto half the seat before she sat down herself, close tot he window.

"Hello Archer," Silvia said when Ari pulled out her owl. "I'm excited for the new year too. Although, I'm really curious to find out what the new professors are like. We lost some really good ones at the end of last term." And she would definitely miss them, though she might not fully admit it. "So, do you know what house you want to be in?"

Silvia turned to look at the new arrival, another young student, and smiled as she reached out to shake her hand. "Hi, I'm Silvia It's nice to meet you." Although Silvia wasn't usually the most outgoing type, it was always good to start off a new term by meeting a few new people. So she had promised herself to be more open and gladly welcomed the new arrival.

Laura finally managed to find Carigan. "Cardigan." Laura giggled as she hugged her friend. "I mean Carigan, did you enjoy the rest of your holiday?" Laura was glad she had found one of her friends but where was Ella, she wished Ella was here then they could talk and make plans about what they were going to do this term. "Can you believe this is our third year at Hogwarts." Laura was so looking forwards to it.

Before giving Aria any more of his attention, Hunter linked his hang with hers and walked back up the corridor until he found an empty compartment still near the back of the car. Opening the sliding door for her, he waited until she was seated and then moved in to sit right next to her. He hugged her tightly, wondering why in the world he spent the Summer traveling instead of with her. "I also think you only go out with me for the gifts." He knew it wasn't true, for the most part, but he also knew how much she liked gifts. I might have gotten you a gift, assuming you won't hate me if you don't like it. Hunter always was amazing at gift giving though. He not only had the best looks in the world after Aria but he also had the best brains.

He reached under his chair and pulled out two plastic bags that were filled with every single kind of candy Aria was in love with. In her letters, she had mentioned that her mum wasn't allowing her to eat candy so he figured the two bags would hold her off for a while. "Just don't eat them too fast!" He doubted she'd listen to him though. Before she could even freak over the candy though, he gave her a quick kiss, knowing that after the bag was open her mouth would probably be too full of candy for anything else.

As she glanced in the door she noticed Kalo already looking up at the door, and smiled slightly as she thought about how she'd already been expecting her. Though the two were quite... different, even Angel noticed that, she had a feeling that they were getting along quite well considering that fact.

Walking into the compartment, slightly calmer than she'd been last time she ran into Kalo, Angel sighed as she just allowed herself to fall back onto her seat stroking the cat lovingly while it purred, affectionately borrowing into her as she smiled at it, no energy left to giggle at it like normally. She'd already gone up and down the compartments sooooooo often, basically running into people as she looked for her brother, who seemed to have dropped of the face of the world. The cat now seemed to be rather happy that they'd stopped looking for him!

"Hey Kalo" she said softly, yawning a bit at her tiredness, knowing that by the time they got to Hogwarts she'd probably be jumping off the walls again and be a real zombie by the first morning after the probable lack of sleep awaiting.

Selina had to get out of that looney cart for a little while. Everyone in that cart was crazy. She was just trying to hand out her flyers about her missing beater bat whose name was Mortimer AND eat a few cookies along the way, but everyone was so bloody wound up for no reason and it was suffocating. That and honestly, she was starting to wonder why it was so tense in that prefect compartment. True, Selina had been more than shocked to learn that Louisa was Head Girl and not Kurumi, but hey she would get over that. After all, she didn't have Mortimer to help her settle that on her own terms, so she would have to just get over it.

Speaking of Mortimer, it was times like this that she really missed her bat Mortimer the most. He was always there for her to help calm her down and keep her head level. Without him, her life had been turned upside down. That was why she needed to find him and she needed to find him fast. Mortimer brought balance to her life and with all of her own issues, cookies could just not solve everything. Sometimes a girl was in great need of a bat. A bat like Mortimer.

Speaking of Mortimer, Selina was still rather pleased with the girl she had met on the platform. Genevieve was a very classy individual. When they had met, Selina felt like the pretty blonde actually cared a little bit about her predicament. Or at least she was willing to genuinely help Selina find him. Most people just laughed when she mentioned her bat, which she would remember when she had him back. Although Genevieve was different. She rather liked her.

But Selina would seek her out later. Hopefully Genevieve would feel like taking up the quest to find Selina's bat with her. They could make t-shirts or something.

Kalo couldn't help but allow herself a small sigh of relief. Angel seemed a little more subdued than usual, why Kalo didn't really care. It just meant she might enjoy this train trip after all. She gave Angel a curt nod, acnkowledging her presence. A purr from the furry bundle in Angel's arms caught Kalo's attention, and she flinched a little. She allowed her eyes to fall upon the cat, and a smile, however small, appeared on her lips. "What's it name?" she asked quietly, not raising her eyes from the cat.

It wasn't that Angel hadn't noticed the sigh that the other girl gave, but it was more she couldn't be bothered to react to it so she kept petting the cat as she noticed the nod that quite clearly acknowledged her presence. Although Kalo was strange to say the least, Angel actually enjoyed her company, she'd be good to have around when she didn't feel as if she'd had about 1kg of sugar that morning.

"Her name's Lofty... Reyna named her" she said with a small smile as she thought of her little sister, the smile growing a bit as she noticed that the other girl was also smiling. Angel was happy with that, a smile was definitely a start!

"Lofty... It's a nice name" Kalo said. Perhaps Angel wasn't too bad after all, if the overactiveness and tendency to blab could be overlooked. At least she didn't ask stupid questions too often, at least, Kalo hoped she didn't ask stupid questions all the time. She wasn't really sure what to think of the other girl, Kalo had never really bothered to make friends before. She glanced up at Angel, who was smiling. As annoying as she was, maybe Angel could be alright, she didn't appear to mind Kalo's company, nor did she completely ignore it like most others. "you nervous?" Kalo asked, determained not to scare off her potential friend with her silence.

"I wish I had a funny way to say your name but, alas, one escapes me. I did enjoy the rest of my holiday though, mum gave me a few days worth of headache potion... I'll have to talk to the divination professor as soon as the feast is over though to talk to him about what I can do about my headaches. I do NOT want to talk to the healer... I will put that conversation off as long as possible."

She looked away from Laura for a moment and poked her finger into Hamlets cage and let him nibble her finger. He usually sat on her shoulder but as of late had become a bit fidgety so she brought his night cage on the train with her.

"Third year, hard to believe. I'll be thirteen in November!"

"I thought so too when she mentioned it, plus it was a way to appease Reyna before we left... along with the fact that I have to write her letters from Hogwarts while I'm there..." she said, keeping the smile on her face. Still she focussed herself on not thinking about her family too much. Despite the fact that she'd known she was adopted since she was little, this was definitely a new step, she'd never really been away from her parents despite the way they travelled all the time.

"I guess I am a bit... I don't really know much about Magic, and Andrew's probably gonna find a way to out do me all the time" she said the last bit with a tinge of annoyance. "But I still reckon it's more excitement... I mean... I didn't expect something like this to happen!"

Arabella-Marie nodded and said "Yeah i am not surprised but i am glad that my dad did not mind me getting a tattoo i think he prefers a tattoo to a piercing"

Right. It was rather obvious how Ariadne got the diary. Hmm. Gwen was surprised that she even asked, since it was rather unnecessary. And since she had been searching at home for any clues as well, she shouldn’t be the one talking. Mehehh… Gwen just continued to scan the page of the diary. Hmmm. Letters from 1 to 9. Assuming that this was just like in Arithmancy… three letters had the same value. Things were probably going to be a bit more complicated than she thought. Hopefully there will be only one logical combination.

‘I’ll do my best’ With the code cracking, that is. Gwen was glad that Ari trusted her with the diary. Gwen made a mental note to go to the library and find a quiet place where she could deal with this, without having people zoom around curiously. Of course, since the library was rather empty in the first days, this sounded like the perfect place where to hang out. The annoying students wouldn’t be coming there, and the ones who were actually at the library where there to study. ‘Of course’, Gwendolyn nodded. She wouldn’t even think of showing other people the coded pages.

As much as she would have liked to start working on her code cracking, Gwendolyn decided that it was best to wait until they’d get to Hogwarts. Because 1. she couldn’t focus that well on the train, and, let’s face it, this was something important for Ari and 2. she didn’t want to be rude. Mehh. Something that didn’t happen very often in her case. So anyway, even though she wanted to deal with the notebook, the fifth year looked back at her friend, ready to listen to what she had to say.

Gwendolyn started feeling a bit dizzy as she listened to Ariadne. How could she even find so many things to say? The Ravenclaw rested her head against the window, seriously hoping that Ari would stop soon. No such luck. She went on and oooon about Jory. Loyal. Funny. Tall?!?

*facepalm*

How could she not notice? Gwen just rolled her eyes at that comment, but suddenly stopped. Huh? What did she mean?! ‘What do YOU mean?’ Seriously. What was going on with her friend? It seemed to be all Jory’s fault. Hmph. Ariadne was definitely acting strange.

Just when she thought that her friend would stop, Gwen heard Ari tell her something about the Hufflepuff getting all red. And I’m getting all green…, the fifth year thought, still feeling dizzy. Surely she wasn’t getting sick because she was sitting with her back to the direction where the train was going, so the possibility that she was car- errrrr train sick was excluded.Huh? He was extremely cute. ‘Lovely’, Gwendolyn said curtly, actually wondering when her friend would stop. Hmm. Ari suggested making a deal. That sounded promising. With a small smirk on her face, the Ravvie drew her attention back to Ari… until…

...she heard the last part of the sentence.

Maybe it was worth it…

‘Fine’, she sighed. ‘It’s…’ Paaaaaaaause. ‘H-rr-t’, she mumbled something inaudibly. Ari probably didn’t manage to hear that very well. So that’s it? Her friend was going to stop? Wrong! Ari continued talking. She started a sentence with ‘I’m in’, making Gwen look suspiciously at her. Noooo.

Gwen didn’t know what to say. She didn’t know how to react to this. Though her facial expression was priceless. Puzzled? Dizzy? Curious? Frightened? Mad? Angry? Happy for her friend? All of the above and a few more?!?! ‘So…’, she tried to say something. ‘You…’, she went on talking, trying to process what her bestie just said. Surprisingly, Gwen didn’t react like it was a calamity…

… until now.

‘WHY?’ Seriously. Why did her best friend have to be in love? She was trying to convince herself that it wasn’t a big deal, but in the next moment, Gwen heard her bestie talk again. ‘Someone? Who do you have in min----‘ Paaaause. ‘Noooo’, she suddenly realized it. She wanted Gwen to act like that stupid flying person… the one with all the love stuff and bows and arrows… the name started with C something… Anyway- she wanted Gwen to be that stupid person?! ‘I’m not the perfect person for the job…’, she tried to force her laughter. Heh. Hehe. Funny thing. Heh. ‘Can’t you just tell him?’ As in… in person? Leave it to Gwendolyn to understand this…

Ari couldn't even pretend that she knew what Gwen was thinking. Ravenclaws were a whole different species. Let her think quietly, Ariadne thought. But then again, what is the fun in that? New orders-keep talking!

'Not very talkative today, are we?' the Gryffindor girl teased Gwen, who was working on HER stupid diary written in code by HER mother. Nice. During her monologue, Ariadne hardly noticed when her friend ceased to study the mysterious (and bright pink) object and rested her head on the window instead.

Her monologue was only interrupted by a....facepalm? Maybe she was just touching her forehead. 'Headache?' Ari asked, symphathetically. Now what could be the cause of that? Nevermind. Keep talking! The girl was only interrupted when Gwendolyn said lovely. 'He is, isn't he?'

Pluto looked at Jinx and rolled his eyes. It was gonna be a looong ride to Hogwarts...Why was his owner in love anyway? Maybe she and that Hufflepuff guy will get together and then she won't have time to pamper him anymore. No! Pluto can't tolerate that. Someone must put a stop to this MADNESS! And that person was sitting right there. Looking positively green.
Humans! Bah.

'Sorry, I didn't catch that.' It probably wasn't Gwen's middle name. She wasn't one to give up that easily. Why was she reacting like that when Ariadne announced she was in love? 'Come on, don't YOU have a crush on anyone?' Even the cat had to laugh at that. In a cat-like way, of course.

Presently, Gwen looked sick. 'What do you mean why?' Why did people fall in love, anyway? She didn't have an answer to that. Why was her bestie being so thick today? 'Of course I meant you, I don't trust anyone else enough.' she explained. 'Pretty please with a cherry on top.' Puppy eyes and everything.

'I can't tell him myself! What if he doesn't like me like that?' That suggestion was just crazy.

Taylor shrugged, "Eh, my mom would of freaked out about either one... I am debating a tattoo but I think I will stick with a piercing at the moment."

Sighing slightly, McKenzie continued her journey through the train so that she could try and ... a) find an empty compartment that wasn't full of older students and b) maybe some friends... Otherwise this would be a veeeery lonely year.

Tugging at her hair, she pushed it away from her face roughly and opened the door to a compartment. Sighing slightly she nodded her head before moving inside.

Then she stopped.

Oh my gosh.

"I'm so sorry!" She said to the redhead. Who looked a lot older than her. "I'll just go... I didn't mean to intrude." She said to the girl, getting flustered as she started to to move out of the compartment.

Renesmee's giggles continued and became even more as Logan screamed loudly. This was just too funny for words, and to see him get a fright was really amusing. He should have known not to sleep at a place like this, that was filled with kids and kids and even more kids.

He was glaring at her now. This made the giggling stop, and instead Ness began to frown at him. She hadn't meant to make him mad, in fact the whole purpose of this thing was to give him a reason to laugh.

"Im..I'm sorry." she said biting her lip. She felt bad.
