He shook his head, "I still say I did deserve the broken nose." He sighed, "I didn't plan to kiss you honestly though... It just happened." Damon looked at her, "But he had no right to snap at you."

Tay sighed, "Lets just change the subject, okay? It isnt worth thinking about it." She frowned and rubbed her arms a little bit.

He nodded, "Of course, what do you want to talk about?"

Tay shrugged and played with the necklace. She hummed and frowned.

He looked at her, "Something wrong?" He hated it when she frowned.

"I just am thinking about going to Beauxbaton for the rest of the schooling... I mean I just am starting to hate it here." She sighed.

"But then we'd never see each other... I'd miss you too much." He looked down at her with a small frown.

Tay sighed and looked at him, "And that is what is stopping me, mi corazon... but maybe after you graduate..."

"If you want to truly leave the school... I'll leave with you, find a school close to you. I'd go mad being stuck here without my best friend." He smiled at her.

Tay gave him a peck on the lips and took his hand gently, "No no... I will stay here." She laid her head on his shoulder.

"Thank you," He smiled at her, "But if you're unhappy, don't stay here on my account."

Tay sighed, "It isnt only you holding me here." She kissed his cheek.

Damon smiled, "I know... But I am one of them. That's enough."

Tay laughed and smiled, hugging him. "Thanks, mi corazon."

"For what mon amour?" He looked at her confused, "I haven't done anything special."

"Oh but you have." She kissed him and smiled. Tay got up again.

"Are we running again?" He sighed standing with her.

Tay thought about it and nodded, "Yep." She twirled and started to run again.

He sighed following her, "You're full of energy today." He chuckled.

Tay stopped and looked at him, "Is that a bad or good thing?" She laughed and smiled.

"I still haven't decided," Damon laughed looking at her as he caught up to where she was.

Cornelius watched as Aspen began to unwrap the gift, seeming happy with the wrapping but not saying anything at all. He wondered vaguely why she hadn't said anything yet, trying to understand exactly how she was feeling. But he didn't have much time to think on extra things as Aspen kept his attention, attaching the bow playfully to his chest and forcing him to surpress a smile. He hadn't expected that. He hadn't expected to be so...enthralled with her. But he was.

He had been sure that when he saw Aspen, all he would think about was that kiss she had with Joao. He figured it would be the thing he couldn't get off his mind. And though the mere thought of it still made him feel ill, he surprisingly found that he wasn't thinking about it at all. He couldn't. His mind just didn't have any room for it as his light brown eyes focused in on Aspen as she took out the necklace and examined it thoroughly. His gaze swept over her expression, taking in every detail of her greedily, not realizing how much he had missed her. But seeing her again made him realize just how much he had missed seeing her face, being around her in general.

He was snapped out of his daze as she started moving back her hair, offering him the necklace in a silent request that he help her put it on. He gave a brief nod before taking the necklace into his hands and stepping towards her until they were face to face, much closer than he originally anticipated they would be. But he couldn't say that he minded. Cornelius gently reached around her to fasten the clasp of the necklace, doing so within a couple seconds, and then setting it softly down around her neck. Once this task was done, he slowly retrieved his arms from practically around her, a momentary reluctance in his pace. But he didn't move back yet. He didn't step away simply because he enjoyed being next to her again, and he couldn't quite bring himself to separate entirely from her once more. He allowed his gaze to note how the necklace looked on her before, unable to help it, his light brown eyes found her lighter ones and got stuck there.

Tay laughed and turned. She ran again, smiling and giggling. Her blonde curls bounced with each step and glisterned in the sunlight.

He sighed running after her again.

Taylor laughed and smiled. She turned and waited for him. "Do you not like running, Damon?" Tay looked at him.
