Nearly ripping her arm off too when he got the toothbrush, he started brushing the teeth maybe too harshly. But if they were sedated, what could they feel?

"Can I partner up with you? I did ask someone earlier but she didn't say whether she wanted to work with me or not. So I've been here waiting and watching others work and feeling frustrated." Alyssa asked the boy.

Right. She'll hold the plant so Aurora could easily brush its deadly teeth. She held it sooo gently, only to prevent it from wiggling or something, which is exactly what it did. It didn't take more than a slight move to make Nora's eyes widen. "EEEEK!" The girl clapped her hands over her mouth, although a bit too late, since she had already shrieked.

"S-sorry." How on Merlin's sparkly hat was she going to do this assignment?!

She knew what she had to do. A lot of deep breaths. She needed those because, thanks to her great idea, she'd be the one flossing its teeth afterwards. Well, whether she liked it or not, she had to do something. That's what working in pairs meant, right?

He was almost doneeeeee!

Satisfied that the teeth were thoroughly brushed, Theodore put the toothbrush neatly to the side and could of sworn that the plant moved as he did so. O__________O

Merlin, no. He was just imagining it. It was psychological. He picked up the floss and it took him a while to get the movements going accordingly.

He started on the top lot, of course. Yes, not too bad.

Theo kinda understood what Mika was saying about adopting one of these now. They were kind of COOOOOOL. When sedated, that is....

Lewis continued to just look at her instead of down at the scary plant. She was definitely A LOT nicer to look at though not as nice as Kurumi, AHEM! Plus if he didn't look down he might just forget for a few seconds what it was he was doing. His eyes flicked upwards towards the ceiling for a moment - as if wishing on a higher power to make Louisa hurry up - before resting them on her face again. She was doing well. Or so he assumed anyway.



The moment Louisa started to scream and flail about, Lewis let out a surprised yelp while letting go immediately of the plant as if it had eaten his hands stung him and took a few hurried steps. "W-what happened?!" OMG! Had it come alive?! He took another few steps back until he hit somebody else's work station which caused him to jump a little and quickly make his way over to where Louisa was standing. "D-did it move?!" Where was Green Bentley?!

After a few more seconds of just blinking at her, Lewis' breathing had calmed down again and slowly her words were starting to sink in. She had touched the lip?! That was all? His eyes were back on the plant now and while it was still scary - and ugly - as hell it was definitely not moving. So, back to work then? Not that he was too keen or anything but they did have to finish it.

Swallowing hard, Lewis approached the plant again and after only a second of hesitation resumed his previous position with his hands holding its mouth open again. "We...we're almost done." Which was a lie since they still had a couple of more things to do but he'd learned that a lie like this one wasn't really a lie. He was...just trying to calm them both down. And get this assignment done as quickly as possible.

Back. Forth. Back. Forth.

Messer still brushing his plant. Who know that brushing the Fanged Geranium' teeth could be so much fun. Well, at the beginning the plants looks a bit scary with those teeth and all but since its already being sedated now the plants just look like a regular plants with teeth.

He eyed his work. Hmm..the teeth seems pretty clean now but maybe he need to brush it more just for a precaution.

Aspen wasn't sure how to grant that request. Please not let him stop her? Hmm. She bit her lip contemplatively, granting his albeit angry request a moment's worth of consideration.

Hmmm.

"You'll have to do something funnier than yell at me because you're afraid of a plant for to me laugh," Aspen answered logically. "I think knock knock jokes are funny. You can try one of those." Again, she was dead serious.

She smiled and watched him ... roughly .... go at the teeth. See... now THIS... this was why it was important to keep plants' teeth clean. If this one woke up and, say, ate this 7th year Slytherin boy's arm - at least he'd not get an infection.

Because the plant had clean teeth.

Aspen SO appreciated this lesson and how it was turning out to be useful, after all. It was a little tempting to try and startle him again, but Aspen didn't REALLY want him to get eaten by an angry, arm-eating plant.

...it'd be interesting to see.... but she didn't wish the Slytherin ill.

But it WOULD be interesting... Aspen watched silently, waiting for the plant to wake. Maybe she should have cautioned the boy to take it easy,but.... fascination won. Could the plant SLEEP through that? Really?

He was eyeing a piranha plant that looked bigger then all the others, his eyes growing as it twitched a little. "Merlin..." Were they seriously expected to brush the teeth of that thing??? Hearing a voice off to one side, he turned seeing a girl smiling at him. Oh, wait she said she'd work with him. YAY, he wouldn't have to do this alone...! "Great!" he replied giving her a small smile back. Why couldn't they be dancing and putting those firebushes to sleep it was so much easier then risking these things eating their fingers!

Taking a deep breath he eyed the plant that was in front of him. "I think this one is supposed te be ours." he said looking around since it appeared that it was the only one not taken now. At least they had their wands, but somehow he didn't think Professor Bentley would be happy if they used them on her plants. He just wished it would stop stirring! "Shall we get our supplies?" he asked trying to keep his voice normal.

Oh, ...a partner! Well, that didn't take long, and the beauty of it was that she'd managed to get a partner in her own house, which meant this activity would be less annoying and more rewarding. "Yeah, cool. Thanks," she said. Looking around the room, she noticed that several others had already partnered up and got well into the activity. "We should probably hurry up and get started. Looks like we can leave once we're done." She motioned for the girl to follow her to the piranha plants. "Let's just work on this one. Most are already taken."

She reached for one of the bigger toothbrushes and approached the plant. She paused, making double and triple sure the plant wouldn't come alive. With a shrug, she reached her hand in and began scrubbing away at one of the teeth.

Do something funnier to make her laugh?! That he should do MORE--seriously, this was too much. João turned towards her direction quite fastly that his neck hurt, but he didn't care. Looking as if he wanted to eat her alive, he waved the DISGUSTING toothbrush threateningly in her direction. He hoped that one piece of dirt would land on her pretty face.

"Do you really want me to knock you off?" he asked in this deep, scary, low voice. It was the worst joke he'd ever made, he knew. But who said it was a joke? He couldn't really think straight. Holding her gaze one more second, he got back to practically scraping the teeth. Stupid plants. Stupid Ravenclaws. Stupid girls. Thinking they knew it all--

Nigel had to think of a way to brush the teeth of this plant and floss it. So he finally had a idea. He tried to force it and stick the tooth brush in its mouth because he did have dragon hide gloves on so it would not hurt when he brushed against a sharp tooth. It worked and now Nigel started brushing its teeth. But it was not easy. Every time he would brush one tooth it would take a while for him the get all the surface area on the one tooth. So it took forever for Nigel to brush all of the plants teeth.

West had been WATCHING AND LISTENING about from the moment where that big boy had yelled and then yelled at his SISTER. Even West didn't do much yelling at his sister. NOBODY was allowed to be mean to Aspen!

So he was straining to hear, not really focused on the geranium-named-stan (Who he was please wouldn't object to his/her name on account of being a both).

AND THAT BIG BOY THREATENED HIS SISTER!

The first year whirrrrled around and then chaaaarged. Like a tiny battering ram, and ran full tilt into that big Slytherin.

*HEADBUTTTTTT!*

Now that Nigel finally got the plants teeth brushed he now had to worry about flossing them. Oh what fun Nigel thought because now he had to worry about the floss breaking when the plant moved. Nigel had to think of a solution that left the floss in tack.

"Oh" Nigel said, maybe he could do one tooth at a time and use his other hand to make sure the plant does not attempt to move. It just might worked, but now he had to put his idea into practice and sometimes ideas just don't work out well in practice for Nigel

Despite the cried of disgust surrounding her, Sara was not the least freaked out. I guess that was because she had once experieenced much worse - she had used her brothers toothbrush by mistake. Now she keeps her toothbrush in a special place...
Yet, not letting her thoughts wonder, Sarah finished off the top row of teeth

If Louisa's own heart wasn't about to get plucked out of her chest, she would've gone typically mocking and sarcastic at his reaction. Alas, this opportunity was gone with the wind. [/mugglebornbackground]

Nodding reassuringly at the boy, Louisa shakily continued this torture task. Moving the brush upward and downward, flinching every time her fingers touched the lips with sometime a squeak if Lewis' hands were a bit saggy at their job. she needed someone to blame

"Okay, okay... I guess teeth are over.." She stepped back and siiiighed, throwing the brush to the ground disgustedly. Not that it showed because Louisa was acting disgusted all the time anyways. "Flossing is next... you can take a break." For thirty seconds. Louisa hurried to get the flossing line.

How exactly were they supposed to do this? It probably meant... Oh no. Louisa stood back in front of the evil plant and swallowed. "I.. think.. we need to get inside its mouth." She looked sideways at her martyr partner before slapping him on the back with one hand and shoving the flossing line onto his chest with the other. "Your turn." And she would hold the plant's deadly mouth open for him. She could do it now that she made sure the plant was actually sedated and safe. Thanks a bunch Lewis.

Without waiting for his permission, Louisa took two steps forward and stood on the plant's side. It wasn't so intimidating when you didn't have to look at its teeth so closely and directly. The Ravenclaw extended her hand and touched the top of the plant's head only to jerk it back to her chest with a squeak. Breathing in and out several times, Louisa did it again and this time she managed to get hold of the plant's head.

She was not going to touch the lips. Steadying the head should be enough for him. Whether he wanted it or not.

"HURRY!" She hissed.

Nigel finally started flossing the plant after the nightmare that it was to brush its teeth. He took his left hand and tried to hold the plant in place while he used his right to put the floss in one tooth at a time. It was a pain even to get the floss into one tooth. The plant was sedated but kept on moving for some reason so it was difficult to even use the floss. Whenever the plants tooth or teeth moved it would break the floss. Nigel was getting angry with this stupid plant. So after about five minutes of trying it finally worked. Nigel stopped trying to force the floss and did it gently so the plant did not even know the floss was there. This was some much easier and after a while he even finished flossing which was amazing in itself

Hydra looked around to see that everyone had a partner but her... 'Anyone in need of a partner?' She paused for a while 'No? Ok...' Hydra was about to walk up to Professor Bentley when she noticed that someone else was in need of a partner too..A much older Gryffindor boy... She turned and started walking up to him and said 'Hello I see that you also need a partner... Can I work with you?'

Oakey hung himself back the entire class. His face turned white at the first mention of Flesh Eating Plants. Really why does he always come to this class, it's not like pulling weeds from his Granny Gunters Vegetable Garden, back home.

All these Greenhouses ever did for him was bring back the terrible memory of Jacob and the Snargaluff Plant. Last year he had to face one, but that one almost cetainly would have eaten him of Kurumi wasn't his partner. He shivered at the thought of the evil stump swallowing him whole.

Not once did he speak up. He was hoping that he could just skip the whole process of partnering up with anybody and avoid sticking his hand into a Pirahna Plant. Sedated or not, Oakey was NOT going to do this. He would rather be outside working on his Ancient Runes assignment.

While waiting for Milton to make up his mind, Alyssa spotted Oakey and went over to him. "Oakey do you have a partner yet? I've already asked two people but they still haven't said yes. Please say yes."Alyssa said almost in tears.

Amelia looked down at her plant once again all the teeth were sparkling clean - but the gunk was still wedged imbetween their teeth like - like stringy things. Yeah that's all she could think of it was like when she ate celery. She hated celery.

She took out the minty floss and began to slowly began to wrap it around her finger. Pulling it through the tooth and wiggling it down - the flesh and plant bits coming out of the imbetween sections of every tooth.

This plant was going to have one clean mouth after she was finished - and then, if there were more left over she'd help them as well. Because who DIDN'T want to be a star pupil?

Milton turned when he heard a voice. Finally, a partner. A frustrated one, but that would do. He just wanted to do the assignments. "Yeah, let's work together." It wasn't his favorite thing to do, but it Professor whatsherface was making them.

"Alright, let's get started." Milton stood in front of their giant piranha plant and eyed its huge teeth. "I guess I'll start brushing..." Milton had seen plenty of flesh eating plants before. But none of them were this big. Or this close. Grabbing the toothbrush, Milton bent over and started scrubbing a giant tooth. But.. it was... hard. The head was kind of drooping because the plant was sedated.

Turning to his partner, Milton asked, "Could you hold it up a little?"

Minerva giggled a bit at Harvey's joke. "Well he is more then welcome that I am cleaning his teeth." Then Professor Bentley came over, "Thank you Professor it kind of scared me waking up like that. I'm glad my hand wasn't in it's mouth." she smiled at the professor then turned back to the geranium. "Ok Mr. Fang, no more waking up or I can't get this done." she slowly and gently opened it's mouth again and picked up the tooth brush.

Looking down at the teeth Minerva studied them to see where they all were. They were tiny and sharp looking. She wrinkled her nose hoping not to have it wake up while she was brushing. She slowly put the tooth brush on the front teeth and began scrubbing. She giggled a bit, "This makes me think of the song from mom's favorite movie." she said looking at Harvey. She looked down and continued brushing and started singing quietly "Brush ah Brush ah Brushah, Get the new Ipana, With the brand new flavor. It's dandy for your Teeth" she laughed a bit and kept working on cleaning, now moving onto the sides of the plants teeth.

Oakey's face was still a pure white color. He attention was focused fully on the Red Headed, Whited Poka-Dotted, Evil Plant. Maybe if he faked fainting he could leave, He'd go to the Hospital wing and face down the Evil Nurse that resides there, but it was still much better than Flesh eating Palnts...Unless Evil Nurse ALSO was a flesh eater!

Oakey shook his head at the image of Healer Tillstorm devouring students who misbehaved in her hospital wing. He he cleared his thoughts of that disturbing image he came back to the class where Alyssa was now begging him to be her partner.

I-I-I-I-Uh-I-Think...Oakey manged to stutter. He looked at Alyssa and saw that she was on the verge of tears! WHAT NO! had he made her cry, how long was he out of it! I-I-think-that-Um-we should find one more...to partner up with. Good save Oakey! He can make Alyssa and the third-wheel do all the work while he encourage them and cheer them on.

Nigel was finally done flossing and brushing the plants."Thank God" Nigel said. This was an experience Nigel would never forget. So after checking to see if he missed anything on the plant he was finally satisfied. So he started to clean up and check to see how big the mess was that he made. When he was sure he cleaned up the mess and put all the equipment he used back where it belonged. He remembered that the gloves were his and went back to get them. When he returned with them he remembered the teacher saying that when you finished the task you could leave. So Nigel quietly left the class to go to the great hall were he could get something to eat because he was starving.

"Sure I can do that. I hope you don't mind if Oakey joins us. He won't work with just one person. Guess he prefers the more people are involved the better.Alyssa told Milton while she held up the plant's head. "Will it be easier for you to get to the teeth if I helped open up the mouth. I don't mind doing it." And Alyssa gently lifted up the plant's head and slowly opened it's mouth wider. She almost gagged when she smelled it's breath. "Whew! this plant definitely needs some mouthwash too."



While Milton was cleaning the plant's teeth and she was holding open it's mouth, Alyssa turned to Oakey. "You can join us if you want. I'm sure Milton wouldn't mind."
