Louisa's eyes bulged OUT of her head as she quickly leaned to look at the tooth he was supposed to be flossing not plucking out of the gum.

KJFHGLFDK!

"Geez! If Bentley sees this, we're going to freaking floss, brush, mouthwash every single toothed plant in the universe." The girl let go of the plant's mouth and looked around her nervously, "We need to fix it. Before the professor sees it. Do you know any spell that fixes teeth?" Not the enlarging teeth one of course. Louisa stood next to Lewis where Bentley's eyes won't reach the plant, "Maybe Episky?" Why wasn't he offering suggestions? Why was he so freaking caaaalm? D: Louisa wanted to shake him to get as nervous and freaked out as she was, only shame she couldn't pace back and forth like always it'd draw attention to them.

"Think think think think think think think..." She was rubbing her temples and trying to avoid the minus ten points extra punishment to their innocent mistake. In fact, she could blame the whole thing on Lewis.. which wasn't her fault at all in the first place considering HE was the one to pull the line too hard.

But no. Instead, the bulb in her mind flashed as she grabbed his arm to get his full attention and offered, "Maybe if you hold the tooth back in its place I can do the sticking spell?" BRILLIANT IDEA! And he gets to touch the thing because he was the one to MESS UP. Louisa was ready to play this card.

She was actually breaking a sweat messing with this foul little plant. She wiped the sweat away from her forehead with the back of her arm. She took a step back and admired the work she had done so far. She had managed to complete the top row of teeth and they were looking pretty good if she did say so herself. Annnd she did! She only had the bottom teeth left to do. So close yet so far.


She opened the mouth once more and got straight to work. She worked that toothbrush up and down, left and right. It seemed like she worked on each individual tooth for 10 minutes. She was determined for this plant to have some clean and sparkling teeth. When she completed the bottom set she decided to give over the teeth one last time. A quick brish just to make sure she didn't leave anything.


There she was finally done. She looked at the teeth and was pretty proud of her work. They weren't perfect by any means, but they looked loads better from when they started. She just hoped the professor felt the same way about her work.

Moving her brush in a circular pattern she couldn't help but notice how easy it was to move the brush now - the tooth was almost clean. Not squeaking clean but almost there.

At least Mika relaxed and seemed to be all for his suggestion of not going inside the plant's mouth if one didn't have to. And she didn't seeing as she had technically already done her work for the class, now she was meerly assisting him with his own assignment. As he continued to work on the flossing, making sure to get into each and every crevice he could at the moment, Gideon listened to his partner go on about some plant from a muggle play. He couldn't help the look of confusion about what she was saying, completely unaware of the reference but it was better then there just being silence between them.

It wasn't like it was distracting...the prefect was still busily working on the hygiene offender that they were responisble for...he just wasn't able to comment much on what she was saying. "If ye say so," he finally said just to assure her he was actually listening and not just tuning her out. Gideon wouldn't be that rude even if she continued to talk his ear off especially as she reminded him of how his sister could be at times. "Can't say I've seen it or have heard of it before now." Hearing Professor Bentley mention that they should try to take too much longer with their work, he stepped it up a little.

Penny bristled slightly at being instructed by a peer but she put a lid on it before she could say anything. This was a partnership after all and she wanted to pull her weight with the assignment. She paused long and watched Kurumi clean the drool off of her shoe.

The Ravenclaw gave a grateful smile. "Thank you." Penny took a calming breath, readjusted her grip on the floss and set back to work. She listened to the prefect as she told her story but didn't comment. She was focused on her task.

Penny went over all the teeth thoroughly making sure that she got in between each and every fang. The Ravvie had to get a second piece of floss at some point because the first had become too dirty. She wasn't sure how much time had passed when she finally straightened up and looked at her handy work.

She glanced over at Kurumi. "Whatcha think? Did I miss anything?"

Lewis was just staring at the tooth like a deer caught in the headlights. What had he done? This was bad. Oh, this was so bad. Bentley was going to kill him. She loved her plants. All of them. She probably even had names for every individual one. She probably sprinkled water on every new plant and said 'You shall henceforth be known as *insert name of choice here*'. He briefly wondered what this plant's name was. Did it matter though?

This. Was. Bad.

And Louisa standing next to him confirming just that was not exactly helping him calming down either. Oh Merlin! "I know I know I know I know." Lewis muttered over and over, rocking back and forth on his heels before realizing that might draw attention to them and stopping. Bentley coming over here would probably the worst thing ever right now.

Did he know any spells that fixed teeth?! No? Why would he? He doubted they'd ever been covered in class and...maybe the Healer would...but then again HOW would they go get the Healer, ask her about the spell, maybe even ask her to perform the spell and all of that without Bentley noticing. Yeah. That sounded like an awfully unrealistic plan.

Totally lost in thought, his brain working on overdrive, Lewis jumped a little when she suddenly grabbed his arm. "W-what are you...oh." He had leaned a little closer to her to make absolutely sure that nobody overheard them talking and was now glancing back and forth between her face and the tooth a couple of times. "That...could...work. Yes." Huh. It was definitely worth a try. And it couldn't get any worse.

After another glance at Louisa, he reached out again and took hold of the tooth softly. He tried to ignore the way it felt like it had just gone off completely under his fingers and just put it back in place the way it had been before. Now it almost looked as if nothing had happened. "Now...hurry." Before Bentley came over to check on them.

John look at Kennedy, the toothbrush, the plant and back at Kennedy. He was so excited to brush the sharp teeth, that he felt like he was going to pee his pants. He felt like a little kid, given the chance to do something only grown-ups could because it was considered 'dangerous.'

He nodded "Heck yeah, I do!" John beamed as he had that mischievous look on his face again. He still had one hand on the plant to hold it in position. He first gently began brushing the teeth and quickened his pace as he went along to the other teeth. "I'm so good at brushing teeth, just look at mine they're gorgeous!" he teased "and not to mention the cool gap I have!" at first he didn't like the small gap he had between his two front teeth but eventually, he warmed up to it.

He continued with brushing the plants icky teeth. Maybe I should toss a mint in its mouth, while I'm here? The lion thought to himself. To him this was a genius idea...or not? Who knew? Hehe.

Things happened too fast for West to easily focus on one particular bit with any clarity.

He was squashed by the bigger boy and West let out a pathetic 'ooof' as the wind was entirely knocked out of him, and that went with a strange little crack that West felt on his INSIDES. Wheeeeen did he end up on the ground? He let out a pathetic little 'I'm-just-a-little-kid-and-now-I've-been-physically-damaged-and-you-should-feel-sorry-for-me-and-give-me-hugs wheeze and grabbed Aspen's offered hand and heeeeeld on for dear life even as he stood up.... owwwwwwww....and that big boy was pointing his wand at him right when the professor showed up! A fierce little West, just like was the case during many summers when it was he and Aspen against the cousin horde, would have gone back into the fray, small fists flying, concerned only by protecting his sister, if it wasn't for Aspen's calming and now restraining grip on him, and her attempts to cover his mouth, and the strange hurting and poking in his chest.

And the professor was asking what was going on and that big boy was answering and he was WRONG and LYING!

"Nuh-UH! He YELLED at MY SISTER and THEN he THREATENED HER!" West protested, letting out a wheeze and putting his other hand over the sore bit in his ribcage. Mouth covering was a fail when he was this worked up.

He would tell the MINISTER! And and... and TWO FORMER MINISTERS! And... and... HIS DAD who could CURSE HIM and BREAK HIM and MAKE THAT BIG BOY PAY!

Except that really, Leon Odessa wasn't at all prone to violence or lashing out and would have solved things with a few carefully chosen, but stern and understanding words.

Louisa glanced around as casually as her nerves allowed her to be. Her right hand slipped into her side and the wand was clutched tightly, although the dragonhide gloves made it a bit hard for the girl to move the wand freely. "Tilt it a bit to the right," she tilted her head to the right and left to make sure it was the right decision. Yeah, it needed a split millimeter of tilting.

Once Lewis stationed his hands on the tooth, Louisa waved her wand while it was lowered and "Adhero," quickly tucking the wand in her side and striding forward to check on the plant. "Is it fixed? Does it need another dosage of sticking spell?" Was it even a proper concept? Cast the spell over and over again to make it stick more? It wasn't like a glue or anything... right?

"Is Bentley watching us?" The girl then asked Lewis, her back face the professor who was hopefully still busy with Joao and the havoc he'd just caused. Louisa made a mental note to congratulate the little boy for surviving the encounter.

Kennedy shook his head. John was WAY to confident and even what someone would see as a defect he saw it as a great thing. He wished he had that kind of attitude. Bring out the positive out of every negative. But he wasn't. He looked at every thing from cons to pros.

He returned his attention back to the Gryffindor when the piranha moved. "John, don't move it so much." It could harm the plant's gums or maybe even loosen a tooth. He felt a slight shudder under his hand that was helping lift the mouth open.

John wasn't moving the plant. The plant had moved on it's own. Kennedy was about to alert John of this when a HUGE glob of drool dripped over the piranha's bottom row of teeth and onto the ground, on the way most likely covering John's hand and his shoes.

"Yuck," Kennedy complained. These were new shoes.

GROUPS. Boooo. Alex hated working in groups, especially in Herbology...he knew he could complete the work to a satisfactory level all by himself, why did he need to work with someone else who would probably just slow him down? Blehhhhhh. His plan had been to just hang back a bit and wait, hoping everyone else would partner up and Bentley would just CONVENIENTLY forget that he was there and let him work by himself, but no, she seemed to really want them in groups. SIGH. It had been a good idea!

"Anyone still need a partner?" he asked. There had to be SOMEONE who had done the same thing as him and waited just a bit before getting started.

Flossing was taking a lot of time. Back and forth Angelina went flossing the plants teeth. She wouldn't wait to be done. After being down with most of the teeth Angelina sighed and continued with the rest. With brushing the teeth before there really wasn't any problem with the flossing from the plant.

She also felt like the plant was started to like her a lot more than when she first started. Also Angelina was warming up to the plant herself. How sweet.

Once she completed flossing the teeth or the plant she moved back to going gently brushing the teeth once more.

John wasn't moving the plant "I'm not mo-" his eyes widened as he stepped back. The toothbrush fell from his hands. "I think we have a defective plant, dude!" he said as he wasn't so happy of what happened next.

The plant slobbered onto John's shoes, he looks down and back at the plant with an unpleasant look on his face. "the plant covered my shoes with its DNA" John said as he was very disgusted.

He didn't feel like brushing its teeth anymore "here, you finish " John said as he glared at he plant. How would you like if I slobbered my DNA all over huh?! he thought to himself as he felt like strangling it by now, but kept the 'lion in its cage.'

As soon as John leaves the class he's going to remove his shoes and burn them. Or maybe just give them to a needy person?

Aurora made sure she kept hold of the plant and prevented any but the littlest movements - she got the feeling Nora would freak out at any sudden change in the plant. Aaaaand she was done? Good. Aurora looked at the plant's teeth. "Looks good to me. Shall I floss?"

Well, she'd start, Nora could have a go too. Let's go. Aurora stretched the floss taught between her hands and began to clean between the teeth. This was going well so far... they had a miraculously well behaved little angel for a specimen.

NOT giving another look at the girl and silly boy as they tried to make their own explanations, João snorted when the girl said she tried to help. Yeah, by touching him intimately as if it was the plant. All in all, and despite the groundless accusation of the kid--maybe he might not hate the girl since she tried to shut the boy up--he was just grateful that he didn't lose any points for this... thing. His obvious relief could be read on his face. Vanishing his wand without making the Professor repeat it, he was also grateful it hit somewhere non-living. Nodding shortly, he went over to examine the hole. Would finite work? Better to try, his shot shouldn't have been too strong. He couldn't think of any other spell anyway. Casting a quick "Finite!" he went back to decide what to do, standing distanced from them, though it was obvious he didn't want to work with her anymore.

"It was a misunderstanding Professor, yes." That they took his joke too seriously. "I am sorry on my behalf." That little kid though, he still looked like he wanted to kill João. As if he could ever reach him, both physically and behind-the-closed-doors. João took a mental note to stay away from both of them.

"I need another partner, Professor."

WHY? Why did they have to work with partners? Sigh. This was just frustrating. She bit her lip nervously, looking around to see if there was still anyone remaining who didn't gave a partner or wasn't in a group or....something. She was just about to give up and sit back down when she heard someone close by ask if anyone needed a partner. YAY. Evelyn raised her hand and said rather meekly, "Um..me?" She still didn't know who the owner of the voice was but hopefully..he would have heard her..right? Right.

Harvey continued flossing the top teeth and watched as more and more fleshy food fall out as he cleaned the teeth.. soon he needed new twine.. and put down the twine and again for the third time he rolled out the twine and again diffindo'd it cutting off some more twine. He then again started flossing the top row of teeth to get them as clean as the bottom or even more.. giving it a minty fresh smell.. but soon enough he had completed flossing the top row of the teeth.

He then decided to clean up his area... he took the used up twine and threw it into the bin.. moved the geraniums to one side as he got ready to clean the station that he was at.. he the put the brush and the remaining floss back to where he found it and picked up his wand. He pointed it at his station "Scourgify!" he said as he watched all the stale food and flesh disappear from his station as it became clean.. he then made sure everything was clean as he got ready to leave the class since he had completed his task.

She was surprised the poor little plant's gums didn't bleed with how quickly she was cleaning it's teeth. She just smiled at her work when she realized she only had - say two more teeth left to clean. That wasn't all that bad

She looked down at her stool as she realized indeed it was wobbling yet again. Maybe as soon as they were done she'd just jump off of it and never climb on one again? Sounded like a plan to her. A very good plan indeed.

Not so much the yelling, as Aspen was entirely accustomed to that (clearly she'd been expecting it), but the little noise from West. He was hurt AND upset.

"Professor, if you don't mind, can I work with West now? We were almost finished here. I can help West and the other first years clean up." And...... check out any/all/every injury.

Kennedy lifted his feet one by one as slime dripped off of them. Yuck. But he didn't mind that much. Or as much as John did. He pointed his wand at their shoes and said, "Scourgify," and the shoes were back to being squeaky clean. "It's just plant saliva," Kennedy said as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

He picked the tooth brush up and performed the cleaning charm on it as well. No germs on the piranha's teeth. He resumed where John had left off and brushed from corner to corner, up and down, and circles. This piranha plant was going to have the brightest smile of the bunch, that was for sure. After a good while of brushing Kennedy set the large tooth brush on the table and rinsed the piranha's mouth...although it was still kind of slobbering.

"We're done," he said, turning to John. The plant gave out another shudder and Kennedy pet its head. It was probably saying to thank you. Meh. "You clean the table and I'll clean the brush and Arthur," Kennedy said. He did the cleaning spell on the brush and then on Arthur's face.

That should do it.

A MISUNDERSTANDING!!!??????

West did nooooot misunderstand that that boy was MEAN. He was squished up now against Aspen's side and thems looks that he was shooting at the seventh year? Were pretty dark. Promise of retribution of the firstie sort.... which was as yet unplanned aside from writing to certain people of POWER.

And he did want to work with Aspen. Or actually, he wanted to go back to his geranium and finish cleaning its teeth because it was cool, and he wouldn't even complain about the sore poking feeling in his chest because he would much much rather do stuff with flesh eating plants than get that sorted out.

Still, the look he turned up to the Professor was somewhat pitiful. Poor ickle firstie he was.

John nodded, he chanted the cleaning spell that he was so grateful for because it saved the life of his shoes.

Arthur? Did Kennedy name the plant, Arthur? "Jarvis, his name is Jarvis" John said as he looked very serious about 'Jarvis's' name. When he turned away he couldn't help laughing, who names a plant? The only time actually named a non-human specimen was his mother's spatula, naming it 'The Punisher.'

Once John finished cleaning up he grabbed his stuff and headed out. "Come on bro, I'm gonna be late for my nap" he said tapping on his watch and chuckling. He took his naps somewhat serious, besides he was quite exhausted. He was read to leave. All done.

"Bye Jarvis!" John said before he head for the door.

Addie smiled as Selina joined her brushing the plants teeth. Why? Couldn't they magically get rid of the plaque rather than brushing them. Whatever. Herbology seemed to be pretty cool. Addie was extremely cautious as she moved the toothbrush back and forth on the big, scary looking teeth.

"Absolutely disgusting," Addie said with a grimace when Selina said it was gross. "Never would I think I would be sticking my hands inside some plant with big teeth." But, that was the project so Addie had to keep moving the toothbrush back and forth to get rid of all plaque and make the plant have nice healthy teeth.

Having done all he could with the piece of flossing twine he had been working with at the time, Gideon loosened his hold on it and set it aside on the workstation. He would surely dispose of it later on when he was cleaning up the area before he left. The prefect was just unrolling and taking offer another decent sized piece when he heard the call for a partner. Was there now another older student that needed a partner for the older student assignment? Where had he been earlier when he himself had been looking?

Gideon glanced at Mika and silently wondered if she would mind the addition, finally making the decision and turning back to the Hufflepuff boy. Might as well add another house to the group project. However it seemed he was to be luckier and got a housemate to volunteer causing the sixth year to shake his head absently. Speak up next time people...please. Not that he minded too much working with the Ravenclaw beside him. "Aye we do," he remarked with a nod to the Ravenclaw's latest comment.

Looking again at the plant as he was about to go back to work he realized that he was done with most of the front. He just needed to get to the back and handle the flossing and the brushing of the backside of the teeth. Probably needed to get their charge to open its mouth just a bit. About to ask Mika to step back, Gideon noticed her wobble on her stool. "How about ye step down and back a little while I try to get this fella to open wide..." he suggested to be on the safe side.

Kennedy's attention was quickly back on John when he was done cleaning Arthur. Jarvis? What kind of name was THAT? Plus, the piranha plant looked more like an Arthur. Not Jarvis. "No, he looks like an Arthur so he'll stay as Arthur." He was putting his foot down on that.

He picked up his wand and pocketed his wand. Before leaving he patted Arthur and glanced over at the professor. "Bye, Professor Bentley," he said with a wave.

As he made his way outside he was readying himself to dispute Arthur's name with Johnathan. The piranha was Arthur.

Having done all he could with the piece of flossing twine he had been working with at the time, Gideon loosened his hold on it and set it aside on the workstation. He would surely dispose of it later on when he was cleaning up the area before he left. The prefect was just unrolling and taking offer another decent sized piece when he heard the call for a partner. Gideon glanced at Mika and silently wondered if she would mind the addition, finally making the decision and turning back to the Hufflepuff boy. Might as well add another house to the group project. However it seemed he was to be luckier and got a housemate to volunteer causing the sixth year to shake his head absently. Speak up next time people...please. Not that he minded too much working with the Ravenclaw beside him. "Aye we do," he remarked with a nod to the Ravenclaw's latest comment.

Looking again at the plant as he was about to go back to work he realized that he was done with most of the front. He just needed to get to the back and handle the flossing and the brushing of the backside of the teeth. Probably needed to get their charge to open its mouth just a bit. About to ask Mika to step back, Gideon noticed her wobble on her stool. "How about ye step down and back a little while I try to get this fella to open wide..." he suggested to be on the safe side.

Mika glanced over to Gideon as he suggested she step down from the stool. She felt an immediate wave of relief hit her as she slowly climbed her way off of the stool. Yeah being on solid ground felt utterly wonderful.

"Sure...down it is then" it was then that she heard the other guy calling for a partner. She nearly bounced where she stood as she placed the brush on the table and looked back up at the plant. It was much cleaner now. Mhm much much.

"Maybe we should get the other partnerless person here so they don't get stuck cleaning their own plant?" She offered with a smile. Glancing back over at the other older boy she was ready to run over and drag the boy over to their work station if he wanted the partner.
