"Did you see who threw that?" She pointed her finger under his chin and stared him down. She hoped he knew who threw that.

She eyed behind her and the nearest table was Ravenclaw.

"Theodore, come with me. We have an investigation on our hands." She explained as she grabbed his arm and heaved him up.

In attempt to get away from all the noise at The Huffie table, Nessie got up and began wondering around the Great Hall. There wasn't any particular table she was going to. She was just walking and oddly enough all the walking was helping with her back pains. Yes the back brace was still uncomforable, but this was managable or at least way better then before.

Her feet continued walking and without realizing it she began to near snake territory. Something that she tended to avoid. It was too late though she was already right by the table when she noriced. The red head looked up and blinked. She almost let out a shriek. Even though it sounded silly she was still afraid of them green ones. There was just something about them that scared her.

It was when she saw the cute, little blonde that she calmed down. It was BROOKEE! :333 If there was one Slytherin, Nessie adored it was this girl. A little cautiously of her next few steps, the badger walked over to her friend. "Brooke!!" she grinned.

o______O ZOMG, hehehehe.

Theodore giggled as the Cauldron Cake exploded over Ailsa's head. But oh wait! She would probably punch him if he laughed, so he stopped immediately. Right.

"Oh. It was...." Theodore jabbed his finger towards the direction of the cake, but that didn't narrow it down.

"I dunno." Daaaaaang it, the girl grabbed him suddenly. And his zone of personal space was officially invaded. Eww, touched by a girl. "Wooah, okay." He found his footing then GLARRRRRRRED at all of the tables.

OH YEA, no one throws cakes at Slytherins and get away with it!

"I will." West answered quite seriously. He would have PLENTY of fun. That was a GIVEN. But the next part, the Harry Potter part, that made him blink. "He's not so great." West decided scornfully.

"Well this term Slytherin will WIN!" Yeah! Even if they had to sabotage the other teams!

"Well you should tell me what you know anyway, so that I know it too, and then I can know the most out of ALL the first years ever." West decided, giving her one of those big beaming smiles.

"YEAH! For SURE! Watching is okay though, as long as you don't hate Quidditch then its all AWESOME!" Yes it was! SOMEONE had to watch, so that the players could do awesome and impressive things!

... West took note of that. But not because he had a cat, rather because he didn't have... a cat.


In the intervening moments, West discovered a chocolate frog, half eaten. He fixed that so that it was WHOLE eaten. Half by him, half by whoever had unwisely put it down. He had also rubbernecked over at the Ravenclaw table, hoping to see Aspen, but giving up at the sheer number of students milling about AND all the awesome sortings that were still happening as more and more AWESOME KIDS got to be SLYTHERIN like HIM!

His attention was caught by discussion of the Head of House. HE hadn't needed to ASK. He KNEW that the Slytherin head of house was the Minister's wife! West was very very in the know, obviously.

He was smiling innocently to himself about all the things that he was in the know about when he saw Theodore. Or rather, Ailsa started talking to Theodore and West started being nosy and then noticed the other boy AND his pee pants.

After a second of thinking though, instead of saying anything mean, West stood up and 'accidentally' spilled the water from his goblet on HIS pants.

"OOOOOPS I SPILLED WATER ON MY PANTS TOO!" See? It happened all the time! Nothing to see here! Cos West Odessa, totally had Theodore's BACK.

On account of the other boy was a good source of chocolate.



West watched curiously as a cauldron cake sailed across the hall. He watched in fascination as it smacked into Ailsa's head and then watched calmly as she SHOUTED and stuff.

West simply looked at the remains of the cauldron cake.

What a waste.

... it was still good right?


"MEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" YEAH! West didn't even KNOW what was going on, but it was ON! It WAS!

No matter how awesome any other of her friends were, including Ness, Princess Trixie and Superman hero Alec. None of them could compare to her bestie friend ever, Dar. She luffed him so much, and she didn't know where he was- so she also missed him so much. She sighed looking around for him or someone else she knew but failed to find anyone.

After failing, she flopped back down on the bench and flailed her arms a bit. Calming down a bit the small girl started swaying, she liked swaying. She liked swaying very much, almost as much as she liked poking things with a stick. But not quite as much. She reached for some pumpkin juice and began dipping her tounge in and out of the goblet much like a dog would his water bowl, continuing to sway.

Luckily, the small blonde put down her goblet before someone, not just any someone but a awesome someone came up behind her, NESSIE! Had she not put her goblet down there might've been juice everywhere. EEK D: "NESSIENESS!" she yelled, beaming at the girl.

It was WEST. The dude who kept willingly taking his chocolate frogs. And possibly taking advantage of his chocolatey ways... Hmm.. OH WELL, if it meant pals, then Theo would give out mooooarrrrr.

Did he just - SPILL water on himself, too?

Was he mocking him? That was Theo's initial reaction, but he could have just been nice.

The boy beamed and held up his hand for a high five.

Maybe there was a spell to disguise the smell of pee, though... It wasn't going unnoticed.

"WESTTTTTT, you're in SLYTHERIN, too!?" How awesome.

"Coooool, we need some sort of army." AN ARMY OF SLYTHERINS?!!! BE AFRAID OTHER HOUSES.

Bellamy appeared to be an intresting character, he had an unusual face, which perhaps made him seem a little older than he could be. "I think so, it sounds kind of mysterious, bizarre even. But in a good way, like I-want-to-read-this-guys-book-cause-he-has-a-cool-name kind of." she replied. It was a slightly weird name, but in the wizarding world, well, anything goes.

He appeared to have been writing something, and she wondered if he'd think her nosy if she asked. Only Eliza couldn't help but be intrested in what he had written down, afterall, who sits around at a feast writing stuff if it isn't important? Then again, perhaps he wanted to be an author, and maybe this is what authors did, she contemplated. "Enjoying Slytherin?"

"Hmm." He pondered this carefully, stopping just short of stroking his unbearded chin. It would have been interesting to have a pen name, but then when he thought about it his name did have the sort of androgynous quality that would be ideal in the prevention of gender bias from his potential readership. As a naive young boy of nine, he had often signed things off B.S. Tain. Thankfully, some gracious classmates of his took great pleasure in pointing out the many ways in which it could be misread. He abandoned the idea of initials since then.

Oh, another point of interaction from the girl. Did she wish to be friends? Well, she'd have a rough time of fulfilling the necessary criteria, that was certain. "Enjoying?" His expression indicated that the word was not one with which he held much familiarity. "I've barely spent an hour in their company. I'd say that I am... interested in its potential." As he said so, his eyes scanned the rows of students. Such a motley group.

Hannah made her way to the table and plopped herself down without looking around to see who was there. It really made no difference if she saw any familiar faces because the last thing she wanted to do was carry on a conversation. She could have sworn she seen a puff girl around here, but surely she was seeing things. Why would puffers be hanging around this table??...they were not welcome here. Hannah tried to compose herself. She told herself she would do better this term. She tried to slap a smile of her face, but it just looked like a smirk. Oh well that would have to do. Maybe she would feel better once she had a full belly and had a good nights sleep.

Nawww! This girl! Too cute for words. Ness even wanted to pinch the little girls cheeks. They looked soft and squishy just like Alec's did. Gahh! They looked just too irresistable and the more Nessie looked at them the more she wanted to reach out her hands to pinch them. She knew Brooke wasn't like Alec though, and there was a huge chance the little girl would be scared if her cheeks were pinched. So instead the red head erased the thought out of her mind.

Nessieness? That was a first. It was sweet though and it made Nessie grin. "Do you know that I love you, kiddo?" she bent down and gave the girl a hug. It was only now that she reaslized how tall, Brooke had grown.

Was she having like a growth spurt? She must have been she had gone so tall. "Look at you, already in your second year hey?" Time flew by fast didn't it? At least Ness thought it it did. It felt like only yesterday, Brooke was a little ickle firstie but she clearly wasn't one anymore, neither did she look like one. According to Ness, Brooke looked more beautiful now then just cute.

Eliza couldn't help but be intrigued by his bizarre personality. He was different from everyone else she thought she might ever have met. It almost fascinated her the way he seemed so.... educated. So learned, and yet such an outsider. She almost laughed when he stroked his un-bearded chin, but kept it to a smirk.

Intrested in their potential? What a strange comment. Then again, they all knew if any house had potential..... well, it wasn't the Puffers. She watched as he surveyed the hall, he had blue eyes, but they were so strange, so empty. "Well I'm sure you'll enjoy it here." She said. "What year are you in?" she inquired. Perhaps she might see him around school.

Eliza noticed Hannah, a girl she actually knew! "Hey, Hannah!" she greeted her. She noticed she looked deep in thought, and worried she probably shouldn't have distrubed her, she didn't look like she was in a mood for conversation. What was with all these people?

Chelsea finally made her way to the Slytherin table and sat down while looking to see who was all here. Why did she spend the last two years around some guy who just left her anyway? Biggest mistake...ever. Now it was time to go through and meet people all over again.
The blonde needed to socialize, she was not going to waste the rest of her years here. Hopefully someone would come along soon.

Brooke smiled at Ness. She seemed a bit happier today, it was prolly 'cos she was back at Hogwarts and stuff. Hogwarts was a-uh-ma-uh-zing-uh. So of course the place made her happy, it should be enough to make ANYONE happy even the saddest person in the world. Brooke didn't know the saddest person in the world though, unless it was someone she did know. In which case, she did know the saddest person in the world, and all she wanted was to make them happy. Sigh. But she was just one small girl. eek.

AND NOW SHE WAS GRINNING! this showed definite happiness, yes? Yey. This made Brooke happier, not that she wasn't already happy. "I luffers you too Nessie!" she giggled, returning the older girls hug. This was nice.

Brooke liked hugs. Especially from non-cootie-infected people.

The blonde giggled as Nessie pointed out that she was already a second year, her first year had floooown by. She couldn't wait for this year, well it was kind of here but it was still so exciting! "Yey! I am. and You're all fifth year and stuffs!" ..this meant Ness was all old and stuffs, hehehe. Brooke didn't wanna be old, she wanted to be like peter Pan, but a girl and stuff. "I hope im like you when im olda-er Ness."

Eliza noticed a girl she didn't think she'd met before. To her it seemed ludicrous, Hogwarts wasn't a tiny school, but it certainly wasn't large, and she liked to think she knew most of her house. Or not. She was in a social mood, so she thought why not strum up some conversation. "Hi, I'm Eliza, third-year." she held out her hand.

"Fifth, but never mind that." He raised steepled fingers to his mouth, looking through the girl. "Eliza, what makes you personally a Slytherin?"

He answered her in a way that told her it was a completely irrelevant fact, before he begun his interrogation. "Well, I guess it was my parents. They're kind of....." she searched for an appropriate word. "Old fashioned?" she offered. Well, they were, but since what had gone down over the summer, she did all she could to detach herself from her parents. She almost wished she was a Gryffindor, now that would annoy them.

The blonde Slytherin turned around to see another girl in her house. It was about time Chelsea started to get to know her house. "Nice to meet you" she shook the girls hand "I'm Chelsea I'm a third year too" she smiled. Everyone probably thought she was new here...which she was not. The blonde just...well there really was no excuse. "So, excited to be back?" she asked.

Eliza smiled back at Chelsea. "Very." she replied quickly. "I've had a.... intresting holiday." and perhaps not a very good one, she half explained. "It makes me sound like such a nerd," she blushed "but I'm kind of looking forward to getting back to work, it'll give me something to do! Plus, it's just nice to be back at my real home."

"Hm. Just so." His voice came quietly as he thought. Of course Bellamy was precisely right: Slytherins were nothing if not traditional. How many could say they stuck to the appropriate values espoused by their beloved Salazar? Those values which claimed that the Purebloods were superior by birth to other wizards! For that matter, let's nevermind the fact that mere days ago the same Bellamy Tain was singing the praises of Rowena Ravenclaw.

He'd write some literature on it perhaps, and then distribute it in secret to a select few. How mysterious to be the head of an underground group of Slytherin purists! Though even I must admit that being a 'mudblood' might mus things up a touch. He would just cross that bridge when he came to it.

"As a traditionalist..." he mused, though his expression retained an air of disinterest, "... does the presence of muggle-borns not bother you?"

This girl seems like someone the blonde could easily get along with. "My break was...well there really isn't a word to describe it" she laughed. Hmm lets see...interesting, fun, depressing. It was just a lot of things.
"I know! I'm looking forward to getting back to potions" she said excitedly. Potions was her favorite class, and her best. Real home? "I feel like that sometimes too, I'd rather be here than home" Her aunt and uncle were great she loved living with them, but Hogwarts just felt more like home. And it was just a place she didn't have to be reminded about her all-too proud pureblood parents.

Amber's ride to the school was boring. She had no one to talk to and no one talked to her. She was tired, she wasn't sure what to do and how to talk to now. She sat down at the table and was hoping to join some conversation, but everyone around her seemed to be involved in conversations already.

She sighed and pulled some pudding closer to her, she was just going to eat chocolate pudding untill she was stuffed.

Selena continued to pet her pygmy puff while eating her chocolate. Because chocolate tasted good and her, being smart and a seventh year, knew the sorting took forever. And the speech was super long. And that simply meant that food took forever to arrive. She blinked blankly at the guy though. He wasn't person. Well, Selena knew that much, she just hadn't known the guy's name but she did now.

"Hulllooooo Jonathan! I'm going to call you..." let's see... Apple and Strawberry was already taken so she'd call him... "Lime."

Because Lime sounded cool.

Selena beamed back at the kid. She liked that duck. It was flying around. She wondered if Duck Boy ever thought about giving the duck toy like... antlers or something. That would be cool.

"Sooooo!" Selena started, petting her pygmy puff, "How was your summer, Duck boy?" Selena asked. Because that was the nice thing to do. But as she looked at the kid, she did take note of something.

"STRAWBERRY!" Selena exclaimed, beaming as she noticed the firstie from the train ride. Looked like the kid was sorted into the most awesometasticalest house ever. Yup, that was it.


Selena would not like to continue eating her chocolate bar. And petting Kent.

Kennedy chuckled. Maybe little kids weren't as annoying as he thought, and maybe he was just traumatized by one specific child. Yeah.

He looked over at the kid and raised a playful brow. "Why would I tell you my secrets to success?" Although, really, there were no secrets. It was really just the norm of studying hard, pay attention in class and stuff like that. "Just kidding, kid. First off, and the most important rule for classes is to NEVER be late. You lose points and make your housemates give you nasty looks," he said. Yes, Kennedy disliked it so MUCH when even one point was lost.

Kennedy laughed and shrugged. What? He did want to grow taller so he could tower over everyone. But, then again he wouldn't want to be a massive giant either. Hehe.

Oh, twins. How cool was that?!

"Wow, congrats on the two new siblings," he said. Now that made him wish his mother had tried for at least twins, but no, she settled for only Kennedy. Well, that had upside to it since he was the only focus in her world.

"It was an American team against a French one," he said, still grinning. It had been awesome. Though he couldn't compare it to the Quidditch games hosted at Hogwarts. Those were only better because you had your housemates cheering along side you.

Kennedy's head turned to the boy who had spoken with one of the best lines he's heard this night, well, except from Kimalia's 'cause her's was cool too. He nodded at him with slight smile on his lips. "Hey, nice line there," he complimented. Kennedy then extended his hand out to him. "I'm Kennedy Escalante." Okay, he managed to get an introduction out there before he forgot. This was good.

At the corner of his eye, Kennedy made out a figure that was, indeed, Aurora. The face she had on almost made him cringe and take a step back. She angry. Like, really angry. Fortunately, she didn't seem to want to continue their little...talk that had been interrupted once the train stopped.

He caught her staring at her and in that small moment he sent her a tiny grin just to let her know he knew she was there. It'd be rude if he just ignored her. But, he couldn't quite talk to her right now.

His head turned at Selena's usual 'HAI'. How he grew accustomed to it? He didn't know, but it did manage to make him smile. She then introduced them by name, which he had forgotten, and when she was done he waved at her.

Oh, yeah.

He hadn't gotten a change to talk to her on the train because of the chaos in the prefects' compartment. He still couldn't believe. Fourteen school leaders couldn't handle a chocolate frog and a gang of cats.

"Hey, Selena!" he said, grinning. "Congrats on Head Girl." And she deserved it.

"Boring, really? Nothing even a bit exciting?" he asked. There had to be something fun she did over the summer. Even if it was climbing a tree. Hmm, Kennedy had to put that on his to-do list.

"Mine...was interesting," he said. It had been incredibly interesting in such a bad that he didn't even want to remember it. "I went to a Quidditch game." That had been the only fun thing he'd done over the summer.

Kennedy grinned a shook his head slightly as his cheeks colored red. "Nah, I just wanted to get everyone awake and excited." He looked around and it seemed it had worked. Kids were talking and making allies friends and...yeah.

The prefect froze momentarily, just his hands twirling the almost empty goblet. "Um, she just came in," he said, motioning with his head in Aurora's direction where she had sat.

His gaze was cut off from the captain when a...cauldron cake flew by?

Kennedy's eyes quickly looked to where it had come from and he frowned. The girl that stood there looked all innocent, but then she was the only one in that spot. Don't tell him it was the Bloody Baron who'd thrown that cauldron cake.

Pffft, like he'd believe that.

And then....

It hit one of his snakes.

Oh no, no, no, no! No throwing stuff. Kicking the term off with negative points would be embarrassing.

Kennedy stood up and addressed the Ravenclaw girl. "Hey! Why'd you do that for?" Yes, questioning first and then...then whatever followed. She was small, so he guessed her to be a first year, still, that was no excuse to throw cauldron cakes at the Slytherins.

Aurora had been alternating between glaring at her empty plate and throwing quick glances in Kennedy's direction when Mordred sat next to her. Okay? She smirked slightly. "You always seem to catch me in a bad mood at feasts." she said, looking over at Kennedy who was apparently acquainting himself with the new students. Well, good to know he wasn't bothered by the train thing. Hmph.

"No. We argued." Aurora gestured at Kennedy and almost immediately looked away, taking a drink from her goblet. "Again."

"Well, I'm not a traditionalist, just my parents." she emphasized, she definately did not support her parents anymore. "And, no, not anymore, I guess it used to." she mused. He still seemed paticularly disintrested now. She almost wondered why she bothered, but there was something so bizarrely fascinating about him...

Actually, muggle-borns had annoyed her, once at least. But since last summer she had made it her business to have the opposite opinion of her parents, and anyone they socialised with.
Chelsea was so easy to get along with! She giggled and smiled with her. "Heheh, I love Potions too." Not that she was paticularly good at it, she'd always thought she must be cause y'know her parents being pure-blood had always told her she was smarter than any half-blood, only she knew that half of the muggle-borns around here could brew anything better than her. "And I'm the same, home isn't exactly as great a place as it was in my First Year.." she trailed off. Her parents had been giving her a headache recently. Or should she say, step-parent.
