Ailsa crouched into her plate and eyed the Ravenclaw with suspicion. Then she whispered to Nora, "You don't see me walking around trying to make friends with other houses. She won't be friends with any of us once Slytherin beats Ravenclaw at everything."

"I don't need a crystal ball to know that." She added with a self satisfying laugh.

Zhenya listened to the speech, fascinated. That headmaster was great and Zhenya loved his speeches. THEN FOOD CAME! Zhenya was so relieved, and had no idea Gary was listening. She put her hand to the side and felt it come into contact with his arm. Her eyes widened in realisation. He was awake! She removed her hand quickly and turned to face him, "Oh you're awake. Fooooood...." she said, pointing to the food he had already seen! You are messing it all up Zhenya!

WHAT AM I MESSING UP? she thought.

She took a big plate of vegetables and ate them nicely. She didn't want to eat the way she usually did in front of Gary. Oh, why not?
She shook her head to herself, and heard him speak again.

"Oh last term... there were lots of creatures from the Forbidden Forest coming out. We had a centaur come and warn all the teachers about something, but I wasn't really paying attention because my f-" she started, but thought he probably didn't want to hear all about her friend. "And throughout the year the other creatures from the Forest came out for.... some reason. Like these giant spiders and things," she said.

She ate another plate of vegetables and they were amazing! Next time she went into the kitchen she would thank the elves, and ask for their secret in making them taste so good.

A singer? How awesome was that?

"I love music! And I bet you're good," although he seemed rather shy for a super star, but it was way better than being like... the 'normal', craving for attention ones. Yup, definitely better. "What else can you study there?" Nora asked curiously, hoping she wasn't annoying Xing too much. She knew how curious she was, but she also couldn't help it.

But then... "Is there something... wrong? If the house elves are cooking?" Because, going by the look on his face, Nora had no idea whether to think that he was shocked in a good way or shocked in a very bad way. She only hoped for the better.

The was some purple... thing in her hair. Some unidentified, purple thing. "Erm... you mentioned someone thowing with some sweets at you? Earlier?" Nora only hoped that she remembered right. If she didn't... well, she never saw anyone put anything in her hair while she was talking to Ailsa.

"Uhm," what was she supposed to do?! "Why don't you turn around and let me clean you up?" Maybe she could use Scourgify? Although she was afraid that, whatever that thing was, might do something to the girl's hair if she tried to use magic.

"Yes, get this stuff out of my hair." She happily spun about and held her braid out for her. "This is so embarrassing." She held still and thought about what Nora said.
"I said something about this earlier? When? On the train?" But Ailsa's head was fuzzy.

Finally! Carson was at Hogwarts! And he was so glad to be there. No more nagging parents or his wind-up urchin of a sister to annoy him. He could be his very own person again without people ordering him about. Of course, there were people that would tell him off if he did anything wrong and bang him in detention if he did something majorly serious but that wasn't ever going to be on his radar. He wanted a clean start. It wasn't a good idea to get a detention nor would it ever be. He just intended on learning and meeting people. People he could have fun with whilst he was here. He sure hoped this year was going to be full of some pretty amazing antics. He had Alec he could have ice-cream parties with at the lake and Bethan...

Bethan! She was there. Standing scanning the table. He smirked walking up behind her and putting his hands on her shoulders gently trying not to spook her. But somehow he thought he head. His touch wasn't exactly the gentlest ever. "Looking for someone?" he asked pulling her back slightly. Dang she was pretty! She was prettier than he first thought. She was growing on him! He was starting to like her. As in like like her. Pity she was younger than him and quite possibly didn't feel the same way. Make that definitely didn't.

Woah, Chelsea hadn't really experienced everything she wanted to here, but at least she hadn't been sick. That would just be depressing it seems. "That sucks, I haven't really done too much here myself. I actually made myself a promise to get out more this term" she explained. Maybe that was also a reason the blonde Slytherin hadn't recognized this girl.

The blonde laughed "Honestly, I'm still figuring them out, but I heard theres some giant squid in the lake" she said. Too bad she couldn't tell Amber more. "I really wish I had more to tell you, but I'm basically treating this like my first year as well. My boyfriend just broke up with me because he's going off to Durmstrang and I was always with him for the past two years. I really regret it. You know? I wish I would have gotten out more sooner" she explained.

After that happened the blonde felt embarrassed for her house. Losing was one thing, but it was worse losing to the puffs. "I still don't understand how that happened..." she trailed off. The blonde didn't mind the Claws or Lions winning but Puffs...just not right! This year Slytherin really needed to stay on their game. "Well, we will win this year. Not just the house cup but quidditch and gobstones too" she said enthusiastically. She was not about to lose faith in her house just yet.

Bethan almost jumped in surprise as someone placed their hands on her shoulders. She quickly turned around to see Carson standing in front of her smiling. "Just looking for anyone I know, but I guess I don't need to look anymore," she laughed as she looked up at him. She never really noticed before but he had lovely eyes.

"This place is much bigger than I expected, there's so much people," she said silently proving her point as a bunch of students pushed past her one after the other.

Carson raised an eyebrow, a small smile quivering across his lips. He tried not to get caught up in her eyes. He'd only seen her three times now but he was actually starting to really like her. How was it even possible to fall for someone you barely know? Apparently it was. "No you don't" he smiled. He was glad he'd bumped into Bethan, in a way. What? Where did that come from? In a way? Of course he was glad. He'd not bumped into anyone else so far.

"Well then we can explore this place together" he smiled as a matter of factly.

"You probably know everywhere around here by now, but maybe we can discover more together," she smiled. She'd never really noticed before but Carson was quite good looking, maybe she was even starting to like him. And no not as friend maybe even more than that. Was that crazy? He was two years older than her.

"What's the best class here?" she asked. She secretly couldn't wait to start the classes. Was it just her or was she starting to get a bit nervous around Carson? Nah, it was probably just in her mind. But he was so sweet not to mention good looking.

Carson shook his head. Did he never mention he was a transfer student? Apparently not! "Unfortunately not. I'm as oblivious as you. Third year student, yeah but this is my first year at this school" he replied. He was sure he'd mentioned it before. Or maybe not! Thinking back on previous conversations. O well. Bethan knew now. But what she didn't was how much he was really starting to like her. It was crazy. He was falling for someone he'd met three times and barely knew.

Carson shrugged. "I really wish I knew. But from what I hear, the potions teacher can be a little scary. So one of the sixth year students says" he replied. He wasn't going name anyone. That wouldn't be very nice. What if the potions teacher head? He'd be even more scared of going to her lessons then.

Lenovo was sitting quietly as she began to choose her food for her plate. She took a large bite of roasted chicken, the meat was dry in her mouth. Her nerves were very frazzled from being sorted into Slytherin. She couldn't swallow so she tried to take a sip of water. "Grrrrrmmmmmmmmchggggg!" She was trying to clear her throat but it was making the situation worse! She turned to the girl they called Ailsa and pantomimed her problem.

"Are you choking?" She asked in a panic. She waited to see how the girl would respond. Working in a restaurant, Ailsa knew how to fix a choking person.

Lenovo was pointing her thumbs to her back and nodding her head to answer the girl. Her face was turning a mild shade of purple and the world was beginning to spin.

Ailsa pulled her hand back and made a fist. With a hard push forward she socked the choking girl right in the stomach. Her little hand made good contact and she looked at the girl's face to see if her method worked.

Lenovo wasn't expecting the hit to her gut. Chicken spewed forth from her mouth and hit her savior. Bits of chicken were all over. Lenovo coughed and was mortified, she almost wished she was dead when she saw Ailsa. Red in the face from choking and embarrassment she managed to squeak out a few words, "Th..Th.. Thank you." She shakily picked up a napkin and reached over to wipe the bits off."

The wet and warm barf like substance flew at her face and she didn't have time to duck.
She began to breathe quick, as if ready to cry or scream. About a dozen breathes in she stopped her 'silliness' and gave the girl a death stare.

"I just saved your life. You owe me." She stated with her hazel eyed death stare still boring into the former victim.

So now, she had purple icing on the back of her head, and the front covered in chicken and barf.

Ailsa's first day was not good.

"My name is Ailsa. Thank me before I punch you again." Her face cracked into a sick smile.

Levona swallowed hard and dropped the napkin. She looked down when she caught the maniacal smile she was getting from Ailsa. "I am so sorry, thank you for helping me out just now." She was glad her own hair was pulled back so at least she was relatively clean still despite this fiasco. "Yes, I will pay you back some how this term. Maybe I can tutor you?" She said quickly and then sputtered "Not that your not going to do well! I am sure you will be great with everything that is set to us. Can I sit down now?" she added the latter weakly.

"We are Slytherins. Of course we are going to do great. As well as, You are welcome." Despite that she was covered in barf and icing, she was feeling better after punching someone. It actually helped her calm down a bit.

"Anyway, what's your name?" She asked the girl. She seemed truly apologetic and choking was never on purpose.

Taking a deep breath to regain her resolve she answered confidently, "My name is Levono Acer. Do you really think we can do well? Maybe even take the house cup?" Levono ripped off a small bite of bread and carefully chewed, being overly cautious now. "Has anyone told you what to expect?"

Ailsa nodded, "Our Head of House is Lafay." She pointed to the scary looking lady at the Staff Table. "She teaches Potions. According to Nora, she is somewhat strict. Just pay good attention." She pointed to the older girl behind her, Nora.

"Levono, I think we should expect it to be hard at first." She explained with a long sigh. "But just focus."

"Yes focus, with any luck I will be able to take good notes. Have you ever had your brain shut off when too much is going on?" She was swirling her fork through her mashed potatoes making almost a starchy zen garden, that is if peas were banzai trees and taters were sand.

Ailsa nodded. Her brain was fuzzy earlier.

"I'm thinking after finding a mysterious goop on my head and getting barfed on would be too much going on." She explained with another blank stare.

"It's nice to know your first day is going just as badly as mine. I think we might be friends now." She was still staring at Levono without blinking, as if she was not believing what had just happened.

She watched as if entranced by her swirling her potatoes.

"Yes, stick with smooth food from now on." Her face changed to a smile and she clapped Levono on her shoulder.

Erupting in maniacal random laughter, Ailsa returned to eating her own food.

The blonde guy enjoyed the food. Hmm.. Hogwarts really had delicious food, not much different than Salem. He took more mashed potato, roasted beef and lamb chop. Yum.. He didn't regret to move to Hogwarts because they had lots of delicious food.

"It sounded dangerous." he commented when she told him about creatures coming out from forrest. Luckily in Salem, the forrest was far enough from the main castle and areas, and the Staff had already charmed the forrest so the creatures wouldn't be able to reach the castle and main areas. "Have you ever seen them?" asked Gary.

The blonde guy got distracted by apples. Yay, apples are his favorite! He took five apples and put it into his bag. Then he took one and bit it. Yum.. He took a small fork and took carrots from Zhenya's plate. Gary didn't know why he enjoyed to annoy this girl. He admitted that she was different, and attractive, and cute too. Eh?

Now that Ailsa's back was facing her, Nora got the chance of taking a better look at the purple thing in her hair, although she still couldn't recognize it, whatever it was. "Don't worry," she tried to encourage the girl while taking a clean napkin, "it's not much." In fact, it didn't take her long to remove all the... stuff that was stuck in her braid.

"Uhm... earlier... at the feast?" Maybe Nora didn't remember well. But... no. "You mentioned someone throwing a cauldron cake at you? Remember?" Yup, that had to be it. "There, it's all gone." The purple thing, she meant. "I'd wash my hair if I were you though, just in case." But she was probably going to do that, anyway.

Zhenya kept eating her amazing vegetables, listening to his question. Had she seen them? "I saw the Grindylows in the Black Lake last year, and the Centaurs... but he was the apparent Divination Teacher... but I didn't see the acromantula or anything," she replied. No, she stayed away from the Forbidden Forest as much as she could. "Did you have any of the dangerous creatures at your old school?" She asked.

She was just about to take a mouth full of her carrots, but when she put her fork down THEY WERE GONE! "They're my carrots," she shrieked quietly. She was OUTRAGED!! She got her spoon and took a HUGE spoon full of his mashed potato and ate it. It was really too much for her mouth but she wanted to make a point. From now on, she would eat all of his food. Yes, that's right! Well, no it wasn't true, because the food here replaced itself and she would never be able to keep up with it!
