Marie frowned. "Jerk? Was last night really horrible? I mean him telling you and all?"

Tay sighed, "Not only last night but what happened today." She grimaced.

Just like that, Anna's good mood was gone. Milton. How did he always just show up? She was having a wonderful day and now he was here. Being mean.

Slowly, Anna turned to her brother. He was so sarcastic. And that sneer was awful. Anna didn't like that expression on him. "Are you reading?" she eyed the book in his hands. Hogwarts, A History. It was actually a real book. A good book, too. Weird.

Shifting Milly in her arms, Anna stepped closer to Milton. "Have you written home yet?"

"What happened today? I thought you and Max went on your picnic today..was it that bad?" She giggled, then stopped as she saw the grimace on Taylor's face. "You can tell me. While I may say that I overheard conversations, I never say what those conversations are about."

Tay sighed, "I tried talking to Damon after the classes today and he was being a jerk." She grimaced and looked away, "I know that i rejected him but he is.... was my best friend...." She felt a tear slide down her face.

Marie nodded slowly. "Daddy says you can always find out a person's true colors after something bad happens to them. You can tell by their attitude. Unfortunately Minnie and Damon are dating, so he'll still be in your life here at school." She clapped a hand over her mouth. "Oh no, I wasn't going to say anything."

Tay rolled her eyes at Marie, "I already knew that. He told me at the williow and she told me at the playground." Come on, Marie, Minerva is my best friend so of course she would tell me.... Taylor sighed.

Marie shook her head. "Silly me, of course she would tell you. Minnie's your best friend." A thought came to her. "I...I have to run send something to my dad, but I'll be back soon." She hopped off the seat, and looked back at her friend. "I know you're super mad at Damon, and you have every right to be. But remember, you're in separate houses and so if he every really bugs you, just come back here."

Tay nodded and sighed, "Okay will do."

Marie looked at her friend before she left, hearing the sigh. "Taylor, don't lose a friend just because you both acted your age. It'll hurt more in the long run. I'll see you later." She waved as she nearly ran out of the room.

Violet was really happy about the hug and hugged Taylor in return. She was confused when Taylor said he was jealous. "Yeah. Boys are dumb." she laughed at that. "But why is he jealous?" Maxwell never struck as a boy who got jealous easily.

Tay sighed, "Sorry let me rephrase that.... He was so jealous." Taylor grimaced, "Though he isnt anymore...." She glanced at Violet. "I had two best friends who were guys and before i even started dating Maxwell, one of them kissed me a few times then got a girlfriend and the other loves me apparently....."

Smirk. He was so good at what he did.

"No, I'm riding a tricycle." Stare. What did it look like he was doing? Most people didn't open books to do anything else besides read them. Just because Milton acted like he didn't care all most of the time didn't mean he didn't care about his education.

Milton eyed the small cat. Ugh. Felines. They were so... furry. And she was getting closer. Milton grimaced. "No. Why, should I?" His mum probably didn't want a letter explaining how much he hated this place. He was pretty sure she already knew.

As Violet listened, she grew a little bit sad for her friend and grimaced. So many boys chase after her, how does she every concentrate on school?, she thought to herself. Too many boys were always trouble, just like her friend Lily said. "Boys are just dumb sometimes. Getting jealous over the tiniest of things."she laughed. He'll get over it soon because you love him...right?" she said the last part slowly with caution.

...So sarcastic.

Anna stared right back at Milton. What? She could be surprised that he was reading. She had almost expected him to boycott the whole education system because he was forced to go to Hogwarts. But, apparently she was wrong. Which... was good, she supposed.

She noticed him eyeing her cat. Frowning, Anna shifted Milly again, as if trying to give her more protection. "Because it's been a few days," she answered with a small shrug. She had been thinking about writing to her dad today, actually. "I only asked because if you want to write to your mom, you can send it with my letter to my dad." That way they would only need to use one owl.

Tay sighed, "He got over the one with the girlfriend but im not sure about the other one.... that one kinda of proclaimed his love for me and kissed me right in front of him after the feast...." Taylor grimaced, "I dont blame him for being mad at that though.... Boys are dumb." She nodded. Taylor offered a half smile, "Yeah i do love Maxwell..."

"Well..that's the part that counts." Violet responded. "As long as you guys are happy, then I'm happy because you guys shouldn't be jealous of each other for such petty little things." Violet looked back at the fireplace again. She wondered if she'll ever find another person to love again

Tay sighed a little, "Yeah i guess...." She nodded, "So how was your day?"

Isidora was only waiting until the very last second to explore the dormitories. They couldn't be as exciting as the common room, no place in the castle looked this cool. "I'm waiting. Got all night to see those, right?" Of course. She hadn't planned on getting much sleep tonight. This older girl was alright she decided, and would remember to keep her around when she had more questions. And she WOULD.

"I will be prepared. I plan on doing lots of exploring tomorrow!" The ENTIRE castle, it wouldn't be hard either since she was used to exploring on her own, though it would be tiring with that long walk of hers. She nodded her head. "There was too much, I might start back up tomorrow if I don't get distracted." She would. "Plus I didn't want to get separated from the group or anything."

"I knew it." She mostly spoke to herself and allowed the other girl to finish her explanation. "That's a cool name. Cloud. Nuage." But she wasn't petting the critter or anything. "He sounds interesting. I can't wait for the lessons!" Not because he was interesting, or because it was creatures, but because it was a LESSON.

Smirk.

"Speechless? Don't worry. I tend to have that affect on people." Man, he was good. He was just on a roll today. On the wit train. Oh yes.

Milton continued to stare down the black cat. It was evil. It's entire presence just had this... air. Evil air. Like all cats.

It's been a few days? Milton raised his eyebrows at his step-sister. "Yeah, a few days, not months. I'm pretty sure mum doesn't want a letter that's three sentences long. If she even wants one at all." Milton said, clearly annoyed by her presence. She was interrupting his reading time. Milton shrugged. "Ask me in a couple months." And the answer would still probably be no.

Speechless? "I'm not speechless," she said indignantly, "I just have nothing to say." There was totally a difference. Speechless meant you couldn't say anything, and the latter meant you didn't want to say anything. That's usually what happened around Milton.

Anna's mouth opened a little in shock at Milton's next comment. He didn't want to send his mom a letter. Even if it had been a few days, she was sure her dad was missing her and would like to hear from her. And surely Milton's mom felt that way about Milton. She liked him.

"Okay," she said slowly, her forehead creasing in a frown, "I'll just write that you say hi in mine." She nodded, mostly to herself. That was a good plan.

Angie walk into common room she sat down on of the couches and open up a herbology book.She put on her glasses and began too read about flesh eating plants like they did in class.

Pfft. Homework was such a silly name. It should have been called 'out-of-lesson-work' or 'library-or-common-room-work' because, although it may have felt like home to a lot of people including him this was still his school and so the name didn't totally fit.

Either way, whether the name fitted the idea or not, Darwin had homework to procrastinate over, and he did so by making his way into the Common Room. "Hi! Angie!" he smiled, spotting a fellow second year reading on one of the couches. "Whatcha reading?"

He didn't like reading. Stupid Dyslexia.

Hi Damon how are you.I'm just reading about flesh eating plants.We learned it in Herebology.Do wanna do Homework together Ancient runes homework.I'm really bored and we get our points back.

Ploppling himself down on the couch opposite her, Darwin stretched out, wishing that his legs were long enough to reach the table that lay between them. He;d grow one day, though, and then they would. And they they'd be long enough to keep up with Oskar and all of his friends when they ran. That would be when he was older though. Hmm.

"I'm alright, thanks! How about you?" How could anyone not be alright at Hoggywarts, really though? It was just SO COOL. "That's kind of scary," he said, wrinkling his nose up. "I'm not going ANYWHERE near the ones in the Greenhouses. What is they try to eat MY flesh? That would hurt." So true, obviously. He didn't even begin to think that the healer would probably be able to fix him and that the schools Flesh Eating Plants were probably trained or something.

Sighing a little, Darwin shrugged. "Sure, what do we have to do for it?" Had he even looked yet? Nope. Oopsies.
