The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above.

Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw!

Kirie once again, left her dormitory and skipped down the steps to the common room. She was in her robes, but they were messier than normal. The little witch sat down in a big, comfy chair, and began reading. In all honesty, she was hoping someone would talk to her. She was actually quite lonely...

Tay hugged her friend, "Boys are dumb." She shook her head, "Happy? Hardly.... he is sooooooo jealous." Taylor grimaced. "But he is sweet.... sometimes....." Tay sighed.

Marie walked into the room, confused by what she had heard. Damon and Minnie were together. That was good, but the stuff Damon had revealed? Marie shook her head and sat next to a first year, Kirie. "Hi Kirie" she said.

Marie bit her lip. Damon had gotten mad at her before for knowing things about his private life, he'd be furious to know she knew even more now. "I'm just tired. Today's been a long day." She tried to fight back the tears but one slipped out.

Tay went over and wrapped her arms around the poor firstie, "What is wrong, sweet Marie?" She rubbed her friend's back. "You can tell me anything and i will keep it a secret, I promise."

Marie bit her lip. She pulled her legs to her chest, wrapping her arms around her legs. "I can't say, he'll be so mad at me. He already doesn't like me..."

Like french? Is it french? What's it mean? What's Professor Williamson like? Is he nice? What are his classes like? I won't have to take care a creature too will I?" She didn't even need to take a breath, her eyes fixed on the girl waiting for answers to all of her IMPORTANT questions.

Well, it seemed Stella had picked up on something that Isidora hadn't decided to investigate quite yet. She had a feeling there wasn't much left that the firstie hadn't already investigated, but at least it meant she hadn't simply been oblivious and missed the girl upstairs. "You'll see them soon. When it's time to turn in, if not earlier," she assured her. Something told her she'd be seeing the girl again, just by way of the fact she seemed a bit like her and Risa had been like when they had been younger. If she found out Isidora had explored abandoned mansions, that would have cemented the comparison. It didn't help that she still felt like she was being appraised, either.

At least it seemed she'd passed whatever test, or made a positive impression. Something like that, and she'd smiled at the questions about the moving staircases. "They only make you late if you aren't aware of how they work. If you stay prepared to end up in an entirely different corridor that you'd been headed to a minute or two earlier, you shouldn't be late." Granted, it helped to know the corridors, and which ones led to each classroom. She was prevented from continuing that topic of conversation as the words kept spilling out of Isidora's mouth. Someone was awfully curious. "You stopped counting the floors, or everything you could find on each floor?," she couldn't help but ask, a bit amused. It seemed her thoughts moved as fast as her little body could. It was oddly refreshing. "Most of the paintings are nice. A bit eccentric, some of them, but nice," she went on to agree. "And thank you. I like my name well enough too." Even if it reminded her of how she wasn't about to follow in her ancestor's footsteps. She was lucky enough that she didn't think her parents actually had those expectations. And then the questions continued, and she smiled as Nuage's humming changed pace as if seh knew she was being discussed. "It is French," she verified. "I'm actually from France, and it means cloud. I thought she looked like one, so the name fit," she continued, taking a breath before answering the rest of the rapid-fire questions. "Professor Williamson is nice. A little odd sometimes, but he's still nice. He loves his animals, and his lessons only prove that. He wants to make sure we respect whatever he's teaching us about." Even if sometimes that extended to returning skrewts to the forest as opposed to Stunning it and leaving it incapacitated. "I can't say if we'll be required to take care of an animal again this term. I imagine we'll discover that when those lessons start." Unless they signed up to visit the sanctuary, which she was honestly considering. Even if it only reminded her of how much she missed Matt.

Marie's eyes dropped to the floor. "I didn't mean to overhear him, but I was lost and he got so mad when I tried to talk to him. I just wanted to ask for directions, but he wouldn't listen..." She shook her head.

Marie wiped her eyes, still sniffling. "D-Damon...I found him in the dungeons in a passageway. I was just trying to find my way out......he looked so mad when I called out to him...I didn't know what to do.....so I decided I'd wait until he left then follow him out." Marie bit her lip, she couldn't believe she had just admitted it. Now Taylor would think she'd been snooping....

Tay laughed, "So you got caught?" She shook her head, "Nah, he was having a bad day. I overheard them too.... i didnt mean to though." Taylor chuckled some, "So you will be fine." Tay nodded.

Marie looked at the older girl, calming down. "Actually he has no idea that I heard. Minnie almost caught me though, I heard her. She could tell someone was watching, someone was listening. She just didn't realize that it was me.." Marie pulled out the mirror from her pocket, opening it and looking at the now stormy clouds. "I don't try to know things about people, it just comes to me."

Anna was beaming as she hurried down the stairs from her dormitory, Milly clutched in her arms. The cat meowed quietly as the girl rounded the Ravenclaw statue. She looked up at it, standing on her toes to try to get a closer look at the words on it.

This was a good place. Anna was extremely happy about being put in Ravenclaw. Everybody she'd seen seemed nice, although she hadn't spoken to many people. Sure, Milton was in this house too. But Anna could deal with that. She had Milly to hang with, and maybe she'd make some friends soon. That would be nice.

After narrowly escaping a surprise attack by the Whomping Willow, Milton decided to crack open his brand new cop of Hogwarts, A History. Just in case there were other things around this blasted school that could potentially maim his gorgeous figure. So, there he sat on a couch in the common room by the giant fireplace. He wasn't happy about being here, but he was slowly getting used to it.

After a moment, he heard the loud stomping of a troll thundering down the stairs. What a distraction! Milton whipped his head up to see none other than his step-sister appear with her stupid cat.

"Please, stomp louder. I can hardly hear you." He sneered at her. CLEARLY annoyed.

She took a deep breath, opened her mirror and looked at the whitening clouds. "No, I'm not upset anymore. Thanks, Taylor. Do you think I should tell Damon? I mean about me reading people too? He might forgive me for what I asked him last night."
