The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above.
Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw!
Louisa laughed at the little girl's reply, "Nah. I was just asking." Nobody told her to keep track of the firstie's homework. That wasn't even possible, Louisa thought. "I have a couple of homework to do too. Up in my room." Y'know... just making a conversation...? The girl did seem slightly isolated which wasn't very good. Louisa didn't want a firstie loner in their common room!
"So, tell me Bee, are you enjoying Hogwarts so far?" Mhmm? Yep, Louisa Carter was trying to loosen the girl up a bit. She'd add that to her imaginary achievement list; untying firsties. Hehe.
Bee looked at the parchment a moment more before she dropped the quill and pushed it all away, well that was boring. She'll do it later when she didn't have company. Bee turned back to Louisa. "I'll do it later" She stated but said no more, was there more she could say?
She nodded at the question, "It's very beautiful" A smile formed slightly on her face, the castle was after all a very beautiful place, "I haven't explored everywhere yet but I hope to soon"and find the perfect spot I can go hide in, she finished in her head.

Beware.
Still with a smirk on her face, the fourth year made her way back to the Common Room. Truth be told, she would have liked to be able to stay more outside, but, on the other hand, she was freezing. So, as soon as she entered the room, her eyes started scanning the place. She wasn’t able to spot any familiar figure around, so the fourth year casually made her way towards an armchair, where she crashed down.
Even though she had planned on reading for Muggle Studies and finally start learning for that subject, the Ravenclaw decided to postpone doing that. Instead, she hurried over to the dormitory, grabbed herself a box of Bertie Bott's and her sketchbook, finally coming back in the Common Room and crashing on the armchair.
That’s it. She was not moving away from there. Not a chance.

Propping herself on one of the sofas at the common room, Erin eyed each students that goes in and out of the door. There must be something wrong with her. While most were hurrying in and out - probably for some classes or homeworks - she wanted to feel cozy and warm up from the cold breeze outside. Why were they going out anyways at times like this, where students just freeze out of nowhere? If all else failed, Erin wanted to be one of the survivors. And LIVE.
Looking at someone by the name of Gwendolyn opposite the sofa by the armchair - one she knew from classes, Erin asked, "You're Gwen right?" Probably the high time to get to know the girl better. More.
...and then... something softly scratched her feet. She looked down and saw her own pet, Posy. Cute little cat.

Gwendolyn kept flipping the pages of the sketchbook, carefully examining each of the drawings she made. Hmm. She’ll soon have to get a new sketchbook, because this one was almost full. Heh. Hogwarts was the place where she always got inspired… perhaps that was the reason of her being able to fill the entire sketchbook so rapidly. As she was looking at the portrait Mordred had done for her, she heard footsteps approaching a place close to where she was sitting. However, Gwen didn’t mind to look at who it was.
But then she heard a voice say something. The fourth year raised her eyes from the notebook, drawing her attention towards the place where the voice seemed to be coming from. ‘Yes’, the Ravenclaw said curtly as she looked at the girl. Hmm. She definitely looked familiar, but Gwen couldn’t figure out what her name was. ‘I’m sorry… You are?’Hmph. She hated herself for not being able to remember people’s names.
Before she could get the answer from the other Ravenclaw, someone else seemed to be joining them. ‘What a cute cat’, the fourth year said as she extended her hand towards the fluffy hairball, in attempt to pat it.

The other Ravenclaw had a notebook she was scanning. Where could she used it for? "What's that you got there," Erin said while glancing at the one the older girl was holding.
And the one Erin known as Gwendolyn didn't know her? Erin was active in class and she would always ask questions and voice out her opinions. How could she not know her? But that was out of the question, they both were Ravenclaws and she couldn't even remember her surname at the least? Erin was becoming a very low profiled Ravenclaw. She needed to be known by most. That one she needed to establish from now on. "Oh, I'm Erin." she gave a pale smile, that girl didn't deserve her full wide smile anyhow.
Erin shifted her body to the other side so that she wouldn't be facing the girl, she was down-right disappointed. Instead, she riveted her attention to her cat. Cute? Posy wasn't cute. "I don't actually refer to her as cute. She's stylish." Pointing her eye to the cat once again, she definitely looked dashing.

The Ravenclaw analyzed the portrait for a while, then flipped the page, revealing next a sketch she had drawn a few days ago, at the Courtyard. This one wasn’t finished yet, so the fourth year made a mental note of going back as soon as possible and get to add everything to the drawing. But then the other girl said something, making Gwen raise her eyes from the notebook. ‘Oh, this is my sketchbook…’, she started saying. She had quite many drawings in this notebook, but most of them were left in a complete disorder in the dormitory. Pffft. She’ll have to start putting them in order some day. ‘If you want to, you can take a look’, she said with a small smirk.
Ugh. She was very disappointed of herself for not knowing who the other girl was. Truth be told, she was never good with keeping names in mind, even of those who she had met… but then how could she have known who this girl was, if they hadn’t even talked before? Hmm? ‘Nice to meet you, Erin’, the fourth year grinned. Erin. E.R.I.N. She was going to try remembering it. Then again, Erin seemed to be kind of upset about this, and Gwen was actually considering apologizing. Something that she rarely did.
With her eyes on the cat, the fourth year heard Erin say it was stylish. ‘Of course’, the Ravenclaw said simply. Come to think about it, it was a really fashionable cat. ‘What is her name?’ Gwen gave it a small pat on the head, but her attention was immediately driven towards the black furball which was approaching the place where she was standing. The cat jumped quickly on the armchair, making room for himself next to his owner.

OH. She draws?
Still phased back on the other side of the couch, Erin almost did not catch what Gwen was saying about her sketchbook. She was letting Erin see what was inside that little book of hers. Erin never had a friend who drew - even in her Muggle school. Drawing was more like Muggle stuffs. And it was fun to see people like Gwen who enjoyed them. Stretching her hands so that she could take the notebook, she gave her a smile. Erin scanned every bit of it and made a sudden pause. This one caught her attention, though most of the portraits did drew Erin's interest.
"Posy." Erin answered, her eyes still glued on the sketchbook she was given. It was like, prints were never a trend for her. As she drifted her full attention to the sketchbook, she noticed that Posy was not on her side anymore. She was...
She was with another cat, a black one in that case. It seemed like Posy wanted to make a room towards Gwen's side so that she could play with the one beside her.
Harvey saw her narrow her eyes.. ok that was not a good sign "Okay.. ok glad you are great.. I mean very great" he said to her as he looked at her.. he knew that something was up but she wasn't talking about what was bothering her.
Ameliah nodded, not trusting herself to speak. She didn't want to get her emotions out of hand, not again. Sitting back, she tried relaxing, but her body seemed tense now. Her eyes flitted to her jacket pocket and back up again.

He could feel that she was being distant with him and she wasn't telling him what was wrong. He put his arm around her "You know if you want some time alone or you want some space then I can leave you alone. " he said to her before he realised that what if she wanted him to stay "Or I can stay whichever you want" he smiled a little. Going through things alone wasn't easy and he knew it, he just hoped it wasn't anything too bad.

With a small smirk to the cat, the Ravenclaw gave a nod as Erin told her the name of the animal. Posy. The name seemed to match the cat very well. Heh.
Gwen knew she wasn’t much of a talkative person, but this girl was even more quiet than her. Though, Erin might still be upset about the whole not knowing who she was thing. Hmm. While thinking about this, the fourth year passed her sketchbook to the other Ravenclaw. ‘I did most of them at the beginning of the term...’ As she had more time then, of course. ‘But there are still some from last year. One of them I really like is a landscape. At the lake’, she started saying. ‘Probably the only landscape I ever drew’ Because landscapes were usually boring. ‘Most of the sketches are buildings-’Or anything that had to do with building architecture‘- and portraits’. She loved the way most of the portraits turned up… ‘Do you draw too?’, Gwendolyn asked.
As the black cat joined his owner on the armchair, he was trying to get Gwen’s attention by playing with the quill, which the girl had left on the notebook. But playing by himself wasn’t that much fun, and Jinx’s attention was driven towards the other cat. New friend? Jinx eyed the new cat a bit suspiciously at the beginning.
Gwen seriously couldn’t believe what kind of tastes in people (and apparently other cats too) the black furball had. He didn’t seem to like the adorable Posy… but he was fond of people like Zeke? Unbelievable. But then the cat jumped off the armchair and walked towards Posy. He started kicking with his paw, in attempt to play with the other cat.

All Gwen's drawings were amazing. Erin would trade so much just to get what she had. Sure, Erin's got her fair share of talents, with all the dancing stuffs but this one, it would create history, memories. She remembered her mother doing her drawing while she was still alive - and family would always be the subject she opted to do. Because it showed every facets of life. Now, with Gwen, she chose to do the buildings and the portraits. It was refreshing to see the lake just right here, without going out during this cold weather.
And as she listened towards Gwen's stories about her drawing, Erin couldn't get her attention out of the sketchbook. Eyes still glued on the notebook, she spoke to answer Gwen,"No, I don't." Erin said slightly shaking her head. "I do dancing." She loved dancing more than anyone or anything. Gwen must be feeling the same way with her drawing.
Erin's attention turned towards the two cats who were now playing with each other. At least, they were going pretty well, unlike their owners. Erin was never the quiet type of person, she was somewhat referred to as loud. Just that, she couldn't figure Gwen. What did she want? What did she do other than draw? Who were her friends? Who was she? "So, what's your cat's name?" Erin asked just to strike up a conversation.

The fourth year glimpsed back at the other Ravenclaw, who was still looking at her drawings, not saying anything about them. Umm… better not say anything than criticize…, the girl told herself, but then her thoughts were interrupted by something Erin said. ‘You seem very fond of it’ Dancing, that is. ‘You can tell by the way you’ve said it’, Gwendolyn felt the need to add. She herself wasn’t particularly good at dancing, but not a disaster either.
Gwen looked at the two cats, until Erin said something that made her glimpse back at the Ravenclaw. The cat’s name?‘Jinx’, the fourth year said curtly. ‘I got him before I came to Hogwarts for my first year’, she added, with a small smirk. She had a great time on Diagon Alley that summer, meeting new people everywhere, getting to know other Hogwarts students… It was true, that was the general description of what happened every time before school started, but it was something special about the first year. Gwen wasn’t sure what it was, but, even though she would never admit it, she thought there was something more thrilling about that enthusiasm of getting to Hogwarts for the first time. Something like that, anyway. Hmmm.

Dancing was more like Erin's life. It was her drive to do better and to make great things possible. She couldn't exactly point out the resemblance between dancing and her life, whenever she dances, she felt like she could do anything. She could fly and glide and slide. And be herself. She could do what she wanted. "Really?" Was it really that obvious? With a little blush in her face, Erin added "I don't just dance. I love dancing." Turning to face Gwen on the other side, "Do you dance?" She was anxious to know. Erin knew Beezus don't do dance and she really wanted to meet someone who could.
Before Hogwarts? They were together for a long time. Erin smiled at Jinx upon hearing his name. "I've got Posy just recently. I have one too, before Hogwarts. I bought her at Diagon Alley but I gave it to someone." Erin uttered. The details about her being stolen legally should be kept to where it was hidden. She was all good with Enya now and she wouldn't go back to where they had first a misunderstanding. Actually, Erin considered Enya as one of her very close acquaintances at Hogwarts.

As Jinx was starting to get along with the fashion furball, still kicking with his paw in attempt to play with the cat, Gwendolyn observed the two, until Erin said something that made her look back at the other Ravenclaw. ‘I see’, she said with a small grin. ‘Well… not really’, she admitted. She liked dancing, it was all right but nothing more… Though, this discussion made her remember her first year, when they had dancing lessons. Bleh. She hated ballroom dancing.
‘Oh…’, Gwendolyn said simply, looking a bit puzzled at the girl. Thinking that she needed to explain herself, the fourth year said: ‘I’m sorry… I just can’t understand why you would give up the cat’ She could never give Jinx to someone. Nooo. That would be terrible. She’d miss the black furball. In four years time, she got attached to this cat, and, even though she had originally wished she could have brought a dog to Hogwarts, Gwen knew she wouldn’t give up Jinx for any other pet. No way.

There. Erin got the answer. Gwen wasn't the one she was looking for. If only, they could have dancing lessons again which happened in her first year. Though, she couldn't entirely remember who did the lesson then, one she was sure, he wasn't here anymore.
While waiting for her fellow Ravenclaw's reaction, Erin did some fiddling with the ends of the arms of her sweatshirt. The thing she didn't want her to ask was the thing that was asked. Erin took her question as an insult. She wouldn't just give up a cat. She was taken from her, though she was slightly in mistake of what happened. "I..." uttered Erin defensively, "I cared about that cat!" Her voice was now increasing and with a murmur close enough for Gwen to hear, "But...I made a mistake." That was the time she would always remember, how it nearly gotten drowned by her incompetence. Erin knew that Gwen may take her words as incoherent and hard to understand but she didn't need to explain herself to this girl whom she just talked today. Though, she should admit, telling her would ease the pain slightly.
The parchment and professor Vindictus' picture floated first out of the dormitories and suspended in midair in the center of the common room. Louisa came out next hurrying to stand directly under them with a wooden tray in her hand. Spike and Ellie should be here too.. somewhere...
"Attention everyone please!" She called out flailing one arm over her head.
...hello?
Someone?
Listen up?
Now was the cue for her co-Prefect and Quidditch Captain to show up and handle the situation with her.

Yeah, Ellie was there. She'd left the Pitch early so she wouldn't be late. Thing was, that gave her extra time to think. And...thinking wasn't her favorite thing to do as of late.
Sighing, the Captain rolled off the couch she was lying on and walked over to Louisa to join her.
And...everyone better be paying attention. Ellie had her own ways of gaining people's focus. But they were never used in such tight spaces as the Common Room. And for the sake of all Ravenclaws' eardrums.....they better pay attention now.

Taylor came in and saw the parchment floating. She quickly read it and then looked at the girl flailing an arm over her head... well not any girl but it was a prefect... Lousia... perhaps? Well anyways, she wasnt good at names and never actually met her so she didnt bother to remember her name. The girl was calling for everyone's attention so Tay obeyed the order and turned her full attention on the prefect.

Harvey was just sat there relaxing when he heard his prefect calling out to everyone, he had seen her around before but never met her officially. Next to her was Ellie his quidditch captain whom he made a note to hang out with sometime, but he knew she was busy being a captain and all. Wait! was that... ? was that a picture of their head of house? He carefully read the parchment that was underneath it a couple of times, she had his attention really fast considering he had been there when Jez had to be taken to the hospital wing. He waited for her to speak, all he had were kind words for all of them.
Nigel was just entering the common room when he heard Louisa yelling for every bodies attention. Well maybe it was important. So Nigel walked in stood next to Harvey and Taylor. He looked up and started reading the sign. Oh this is why, to show your support to Vindictus, Jez, and Nerdina. He waited to hear what else Louisa had to say to what she exactly wanted us to do

After her last comment about the cat, Gwendolyn bit her lip. Hmph. Looks like the two of them weren’t really getting along. Or at least the fourth year thought so. Instead of replying anything, the Ravenclaw gave a small nod, as to say ‘I understand’. Though, she hadn’t asked for any explanation, had she? Therefore, she wasn’t wrong with anything. Pft. Sort of…But then, as she was about to say something, Gwendolyn heard the Prefect talking.
Hmmm.
What was going on?
Her eyes were scanning the place where Louisa and Ellie were standing, finally noticing the piece of parchment. Right. The frozen people…, the fourth year thought. Delivering… on behalf…, she read from that piece of parchment. Truth be told, Gwen wasn’t quite sure if she had met the two students mentioned there… but she had to agree. It would be nice to send something.
The parchment and professor Vindictus' picture floated first out of the dormitories and suspended in midair in the center of the common room. Louisa came out next hurrying to stand directly under them with a wooden tray in her hand. Spike and Ellie should be here too.. somewhere...
"Attention everyone please!" She called out flailing one arm over her head.
...hello?
Someone?
Listen up?
Now was the cue for her co-Prefect and Quidditch Captain to show up and handle the situation with her.
...and as she was talking to Gwen about her cat, here came Louisa and their other Ravenclaw student heads. She moved from the couch to the middle of the room. She looked at the floating parchment and read.
She wanted to ask Louisa about Jez badly. Erin was so worried about her friend. If she could only regain her consciousness before anyone does. She didn't know Nerida personally but she also wished her all the best. Professor Vindictus should all be better soon as well. What was Quidditch without him? Erin shuffled towards Louisa and ask her in a whisper, "Is Jezabel fine?"

"Well I am glad that made you smile.. and here I had been thinking and thinking of how to get you to smile. But just me saying that got you smiling" he smiled as she rested her head on his and snuggled into him. He put his arms around her kissing the top of her head "Well I guess I will have to .. or what else are going to snuggle into? I am like your snuggle bear or something?" he chuckled as he held her close.
Ameliah laughed. "You are my snuggle bear. F-- Mel was, but my head got a bit big for her." she joked. She had almost slipped up and said Fergus, but she didn't think Harvs would like her past with him.
