Justin watched and listened as Ella told him what was going on with Harvey. He saw the tears forming in her eyes. He felt awful for her. He wrapped an arm around her and gave her a reassuring squeeze. Wow.... this was alot to take in... Why was Harvey holding off on letting himself realise that ella was perfect for him.... She enjoyed his quirky sense of humor and everything....
" Ella, I think he's worried about getting rejected by you... I've seen how he looks at you and he's smiled more with you then anyone.... give him time. I know how much it hurts to see the one person you like with someone who could care less for them.... It'll work out... If you want I can talk to him and feel out the situation for you... Without mentioning you?..." Justin said

Damon walked into the commonroom still fairly annoyed, it seemed no matter where he went he was annoyed by someone. He went to the dungeons, Arianna, went anywhere else it seemed Ameliah found her way to him and Taylor everytime. He sighed sitting down on one of the chairs and sighed and he made his guitar appear and started to practice Taylor's birthday song, not really caring who he annoyed.

Ella sighed as Justin gave her a squeeze, turning to look at him as he spoke. "Justin he doesn't like me...like that. He told me he wants to meet whoever I like...I mean, people who like like you aren't excited to do that, right?" It just didn't make a lot of sense to Ella. She did give her friend a weak smile when he told her Harvs looks at her and smiles at her a special way. Did he? And if he did...he shouldn't, not when he has a girlfriend. "It isn't fair. I wish I didn't like him so much. Now I can't even be around him because he wants to know all about this guy I like..." Which was awful. "I...erm how exactly could you do that?" It seemed like it would be hard to not mention her.

" Ella... Harvey goes with me sometimes on my workouts.... We talk quite a bit when he does join me... Cause it's private... We can talk about anything out there without anyone over hearing..." Justin said reassuringly... " And I could figure out where he's at with Ameliah.... As for his question about who you like may you should just say something like... ' If you 'd like to know who I like... Maybe you should look in a mirror....; Ya know keep it cute.... But I gaurantee it'll take him a minute to riddle it out... He's a bit slow on the uptake if you know what I mean..." Justin half joked.... The honest truth wasthat Harvey was not known for picking up on things too quickly...

Ella listened, appreciating Justin's words but not fully believing them. "If you'd like to ask him that then I guess...it's okay with me." She said a bit uncertainly, looking down at her hands. "As for...telling him. I can't. I just...don't feel right doing that when he's got a girlfriend. I think it's better if I just maybe don't hang out with him...you know, for a little bit." Even if it meant hiding out in the common room some more. Yeah sure it was cowardly, but it was certainly less confusing! And hey, she was sure Sophie would bring her ice cream and sweets if she asked. Yeah, just classes and common room...that would totally work.

" Well, if I talk to him and get him to realise that it's you he'd rather be with... Without saying anything about you... he'll realise how much he likes to be with you and how much happier he is just to have you near him..." Justin smiled... " Then you tell him who you like..."

Ella returned the smile with a small one of her own. "I guess..." She said with a shrug. The question on her mind though was why Harvey didn't realize this already. Was she meant to just wait around until he liked her? That seemed kind of sad and quite unfair, really. Why should she be stuck liking him when he was off liking someone else? It was dumb. Really dumb. "Do you think I can just like...stop liking him? I think that might be easier." She was being completely serious too, looking at Justin and expecting some kind of answer to that ridiculous question. In all honesty, she hoped he said yes, that she could simply stop liking him. That would make life a lot easier for the second year.

IJustin nearly burst out laughing at her question , but luckily he was able to stifle it... " No one can just stop liking someone they're attracted to.... But if there would be someone who could I suppose that it'd be you, Miss Bishop...." Justin said supportively.....

Ella raised her eyebrows at Justin as he seemed to try and contain his laughter. She didn't blame him though, not really. She knew it was a ridiculous question. She groaned, bringing her hands to her face, when Justin confirmed her thoughts about the subject. Her hands dropped just as quickly at what he said next though, a small smile appearing on her face. "I um...well yeah. I think you're right. I could totally stop liking him." And she nodded, crossing her arms. "I have to." She said more seriously, tilting her head to look at Justin. "Mostly cause I'm not sure if I can just be his friend. I act like a complete crazy person around him now..."

Alyssa walked into the Common Room. It had been a tough day at Quidditch practice. She hadn't played in months and she was already sore just from swinging the bludger.

Alyssa flopped herself onto the sofa too tired to drag herself up the stairs to the Girls' Dormitory. She looked around to see who else was in the Common Room. It looked a little empty right now and quiet. 'Good quiet is good.' Alyssa thought to herself as she closed her eyes.

Elijah was sitting at one of the tables in the common room, getting cosy by the fire. Attractive people had to keep their bodies at just the right temperature to increase their chances of continuing to be attractive in old age. He had read it somewhere in some magazine by some beauty therapist whose name escaped him now. So, basically, it was utterly TRUE.

He was in the process of writing a letter to his Mum to let her know how he was getting on (because even hawt boys checked in with their mothers). He was telling her all about that horrible Hufflepuff boy who attacked him with his boots (although in this particular version Elijah had whopped HIS behind and not vice versa); his amazing developments in Charms class; and even felt the need to tell her of the different runes he had 'learned' recently, also.

Elijah found himself stumbling on a particular word, though, much to his frustration. He just wanted to get this over with and owled so he could keep his Mum quiet for another fortnight and then he could continue his everyday life being gorgeous without any hassle.

Deciding to call on help from one of his fellow 'Puffs, he shouted out toward the rather sweaty girl who appeared to be melting into the sofa. "Oi, you! How do you spell catastrophe?"

" Ella... I was joking.... You can't just stop liking someone... The whole chemistry of attraction is at work..." Justin said sweetlyas he put his hands on her shoulders once more, " But maybe don't wait around for him either.... See if there's anyone else that strikes your fancy. That'd show him you're just as unavailable.... Making him like you more.... "

Psh. You could totally stop liking someone. You simply...stopped, right? I mean she could totally do it...if she was determined enough. And she was. Mhm. "I'm still gonna try though." She said with a frown, watching as Justin placed his hands on her shoulders again. Huh? Unavailable? So wait, Justin wanted her to be with someone else too? That seemed like a stupid game to play...and it wasn't very fair to the other person, was it? Ella could never hurt someone like that. "I don't know...I'm not good at stuff like that...I don't get the whole games thing. Aren't games meant to be fun?" She said uncertainly. "But I guess I do get the not waiting around bit. I mean I shouldn't...do that. Only I don't like anybody else...like that."

" I only meant keep your options open... If you find yourself liking someone else as well... go for it.... that's all.." he smiled. " Make sense now?" Justin asked realising that she just didn't understand how boys worked...

"Okay..." Ella said, thinking this over. She would keep that in mind...if she did end up liking anyone else. This seemed really unlikely though, especially now that she knew how much trouble liking someone could be. WHY couldn't she just like someone who could and did like her back the same way?! That would be so much easier. Like Laura and Oakey. They clearly liked each other! Sigh. Did it make sense now? Ella smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I guess it does. I still think boys are confusing though." She added honestly before laughing. "...No offense." But he wouldn't be mad, right?

Justin started laughing along with her, " I suppose we are.... I never realised it until I was trying to explain how to get with Harvs...." he said through his laughter.

Alyssa was enjoying the nice peace and quiet when suddenly someone practically shouted in her ear. She slowly opened one eye to see who it was. If the eye were opened she would have rolled that one as well. It was that boy who had commented about her bottom in CoMC classs. Alyssa wondered whether it would be possible to maybe fake snoring, so that he would think that she had fallen asleep or something. But then figured that if she did that, he would go around telling everyone that she snored in her sleep.

So she peeked out of one eye and said, "First of all my name is not Oi, it's Alyssa. And catastrophe is spelt C-A-T-A-S-T-R-O-P-H-E."

"Would you like me to spell anything else for you while I'm still awake?" she opened her other eye to look at him. 'Merlin's Beard he is hawt.' she thought to herself before quickly closing both eyes again. 'Better not let him know that I think that or his head will get even more bigger than it is now. Even if it is a cute head.' Alyssa chuckled to herself.

Oh great, another sassy girl. Hogwarts was too full of these sassy girls. He made note to try and figure out where the Headmaster's office was and tell him of this over-sassy-population problem. He needed girls who would just succumb to his amazing charm and simply help him because they wanted him to LOVE them. He couldn't be bothered with all this denial stuff.

He suspected Aspen was the Queen of the Sassy Elite club and had probably informed all members to be extra unhelpful to him so that she could have him all to herself. She really was a smart girl.

"I never said your name was Oi, Alyssa, I just didn't know how else to get your attention," hmph. Oi suited her more, though. Alyssa was much less aggressive sounding.

He quickly jotted down the word as she spelled it out for him, mouthing the letters as he went. He inspected the word after he was done, trying to work out if it actually was correct or if this girl was making a fool of him.

When she offered him further help that was when Elijah noticed she had been staring at him with only one eye open. What a weirdo. Or maybe she had some eye condition and couldn't afford a patch for it? Maybe he could offer to buy one for her? Girls loved gifts and maybe she'd be a little less hostile towards him.

"Would you like me to buy you an eye patch for your bad..." oh wait, the other one opened now. Oops. "I mean, um. Nevermind. No more help needed here, thanks. You can go back to slouching on that couch over there."

The one eyed-sloth monster was a good look, indeed.

Minerva walked into the common room and smiled as she heard a familiar voice that she liked to hear. Walking over to Damon she didn't interrupt his song she just sat in a chair in front of him and smiled listening to him play. Setting down her bag she leaned back and closed her eyes as she listened. When he song was over she smiled and opened her eyes, "Nice song Damon, for Taylor I take it?" She noticed something was wrong, "You okay?"

Damon looked up at her with a halfhearted smile, "For her birthday, along with this." He pulled out the box that held the locket that had a picture of the two of them. When she asked if he was okay he sighed, "Just getting annoyed with people's drama lately. Mainly Ariana and Ameliah..."

Minerva smiled, "Well it is a wonderful song and she is gong to love it." she looked at the locket, "Damon it's wonderful. She will love it." Minerva looked at her friend with concern. "What have they been doing? I haven't even seen Ameliah for so long I didn't know if she was even around anymore." Minerva shrugged not having a clue what Ameliah had been up to. "I figured now that Ari had Justin she would calm down."

Damon smiled, "Thanks... There's actually a small joke with the song." He looked at her and nodded, "Ameliah turned Taylor and I into badgers... In Taylor's anger she took a swipe at her puff... Got her side fairly badly." He sighed, he still felt bad for upsetting Ameliah but it was annoying, "And Ariana, her temper is worse if anything. She managed to find me when I was trying to practice and she was being snotty about being for Taylor." He rolled his eyes at the memory, "Then managed to ram me in my stomach with her wand, which my stomach is still healing. So force of habit I flipped her onto the ground... Which I did appoligize for and when I tried I explain why she just got more ticked and told me that if Rowan hurts her aunt I'm the one in trouble."

Minerva gave a smile, "What is the joke if I'm allowed to know." she was curious, but it was okay if he didn't want to tell her. Then she frowned at the Ameliah story. "What on earth did Ameliah get mad enough about to turn you into badgers? I swear she is going to hurt someone she is not old enough to be doing those spells. I don't care how good she thinks she is this is ridiculous." Minerva shook her head not happy with Ameliah at all for doing that. "Is Mel okay?" She thought of the puff and frowned more thinking of her own puff up in her room. Rolling her eyes, "Oh wonder what is up Ariana's behind. I swear at times she is bio polar. She can go from happy to crazy in 3 seconds."

Alyssa looked up at him this time with both eyes open when he objected the fact that he had called her "Oi". So he wanted her attention. Well he got it especially after she heard him mention something about getting her an eye patch for her...

"You were going to say buy an eye patch for my eye? Why does it look like there's something wrong with it? " Alyssa felt around both her eyes. She blinked them both a couple of times. "Nope nothing wrong with them." she grinned at him.

'One thing for sure, I know that they are both working fine because I still see this hawt guy standing in front of me....unless he is right and there's something wrong with my eyes and he actually looks like an ogre.' Alyssa silently thought to herself trying to hide her grin.

"I do not slouch. Did you want to sit here? Sorry if it's sopping wet from my perspiration. I just had a very exhausting Quidditch practice." Alyssa patted the seat next to her.

"What have you been up to? Have you had any success with any of the girls here yet?" Alyssa grinned before she burst out laughing. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be laughing. It's just that you look like you're trying so hard to impress us girls, when all you need to do is smile and just let your good looks do all the work for you....O_o...I mean...."Alyssa stopped laughing when she realized what she had just said.

'Merlin's Beard, I didn't just say that to him. Now he's going to really have a big head. ' Alyssa quickly looked away trying to act normal and hoping that he hadn't heard what she had just said.

Damon chuckled, "Actually, it goes back to when Maxwell and Taylor dated." He smirked, "I couldn't tell you how many times he called me a theif or accused me of trying to steal her away." He replayed the third verse, "I'm a theif," He smiled, "And it's not an insult to him, just something coming back from the past." He looked at her, hoping she wouldn't take it as him trying to rub anything in, "And because she promised Dad she would she saw Taylor and I together. As for Mel... I'm sure she's fine, it wasn't enough to kill the poor thing, just hurt her." He sighed, "There was no happy with Ariana though, she just plain and simple hated me and made it quite clear that I'm not her favorite person."
