As you enter you notice how immaculate the classroom is. Every row is in perfect line and there is no dust to be found on the desk. Please stand behind a desk when you enter, DO NOT sit until the professor tells you to do so otherwise you'll have to go outside and do it again.
At the back of the classroom is an area that is sectioned off with a maroon curtain. Please do not go back there until the professor tells you to do so.
Mrs. Bellaire is standing by the front waiting to welcome you all in.

Violet was really confused as to what was going on. The only thing she could register in the professor's long instructions were to find 2 people from a house...and something to do with cleaning up the place the fastest to receive some points for her house? Violet got up slowly with much confusion on her face and called out, "Anyone like to be in a group with me?"
Maybe someone else in the class could re explain the instructions to her.

Alyssa wished that the older Hufflepuff students were around, so that they could represent their house but since they weren't, Alyssa knew that it was up to her.
This was going to be a tough one to attempt to do. Two brooms at the same time and then using the Evanesco spell to vanish the dust. Yeah easy as peach....for an older student. But Alyssa was determined that she would not let her House down. So she concentrated on the sweeping spell first. "Liberum Arbitrium Broom"she said to herself. Wand movement, swish and a clockwise twirl.
Alyssa picked up two brooms and placed them side by side in front of her. She closed her eyes, cleared her mind and concentrated on the spell and what she wanted it to do. She visualized the brooms performing the spell and sweeping the room. Taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes and looked at the brooms in front of her. Unholstering her wand, with a swish and clockwise motion of her wand, Alyssa said the word of the spell clearly and concisely, "Liberum Arbitrium Broom" she pointed her wand at one broom and then at the other repeated the wand movements again and said the words one more time. "Liberum Arbitrium Broom".
Both brooms immediately sprang up and started to sweep. Alyssa almost wanted to pump the air in triump, but remembered that she still had to concentrate on spell and not lose concentration. She walked alongside the brooms as they both swept alongside each other. So far so good. She did a quick glance to see how Minnie was doing.

Angelina understood what was going on pretty much. Sounded easy from what they were asked to do, but then again once she started it might not be as easy.
Looking over Angelina saw a classmate asking if anyone wanted to be in a group with her. Well Angelina needed someone so why not go with the girl. Getting up and going over to the girl she smiled and said, "Hi, I'm Angelina. I heard you asking if anyone wanted to be in a group with you. I don't have anyone so do you want to partner up?"
This was also a good time to make friends. She had friends, but who can't have enough?
Kurumi had been busy dancing and sweeping with her broom off to the side when she heard the professor call everyone in but still gathered with the rest of the Gryffindors anyway. Gideon got a bit of an eyebrow raise at his comment about volunteering herself and him for the role. Sure, they were prefects, but their role was to guide...wasn't it? Looking around at the group gathered, Kurumi was confident that any of them could do this task, but her attention was drawn over towards the Slytherin group and poor West who was, surprisingly, very very quiet.
She didn't know the boy well, but she had a good enough first impression of him to know that there was something up.
Still, her focus needed to be on her lions right now. One person from the older group and another from the younger group? But how to choose? Doing things the democratic way seemed best, yeah? By a vote. It wasn't their job to point the finger and pick people, say you should do this or you shouldn't. At least not to the sixth year.
"I will do whatever you guys want me to do," Kurumi nodded. Whether that was represent their team as the older student or encourage the younger one from the sideline. "But maybe we should vote on those who volunteered?" Since that seemed to be the only fair way? "So...older students are Jade, Gideon, and myself?" For not at least. "And younger students are Sarah and Oichi?"
Meanwhile Kurumi's broom continued to sweep and dance beside her. Do DO! Dododo do do do dodododo...
Selina stood wayyyyy in the back of the crowd of Gryffindors. Honestly, she was one of the older students, technically, but when it came to volunteering she was not so prone to do so in a class like Charms. It was not as if she was hopeless in the class, that was potions, but the class did not sit well with Selina because she always felt as if she was being rushed. This skill was something that took time, which in a classroom setting was hard to achieve.
So when Kurumi called for a vote, Selina rose her hand and said, "Wouldn't it just make more sense for someone who WANTS to volunteer to do it, instead of putting it to a vote? I mean, that could cause all sorts of problems if the person elected doesn't want to participate." Yeah, that made sense.

Minerva saw two brooms sweeping near her. She gave a quick thumbs up to Alyssa. They had always made a pretty good team. She turned back to the clothes when she noticed something black crumpled on the floor. It was so crumpled that she couldn't figure out what it even was. 'Hmmm" she wondered and pointed her wand "Plic Vestimenta!" the item folded and then she realized it was a black sweater. Smiling she made sure to place it with the other clothes she had folded. Looking around the room she found another sweater this time a blue one. She pointed her wand "Plic Vestimenta!" the sweaters arms started to move into the folding then the rest followed. She was enjoying herself and looked to see if the brooms were still moving. She didn't want to get into their way.
As she was checking to make sure she wasn't in the way of the brooms when she saw something brown on the floor. She pointed her wand at the pants "Plic Vestimenta!" they folded themselves and she moved them with the rest of the clothes. The she saw a cute color of purple this got her interest and she walked over. She really wanted to just pick up the shirt to see if it was her size, but remembered she was in a competition right now. Pointing her wand "Plic Vestimenta!" the shirt folded.

This was also a good time to make friends. She had friends, but who can't have enough?
He heard a voice behind him ask if someone wanted a partner. Wait, they were supposed to be in their house teams... Turning around he saw a little Ravenclaw standing there that must have been the one asking for a partner. He was about to explain when one of the Slytherin offered to be partners. "Uhh, wait no, yer supposed te be in yer houses." he explained quietly. "Each house is a team, and are te pick te people, one is a 1st-3rd year and the other a 4th through 7th year."
"Mebbe find yer house group and they can help ye there." he said smiling gently at the ravenclaw.
Theodore said the spell over and over in his brain, and then, oh DAMN, the prefect announced that they were beginning. Why did he do this to himself? So much PRESSURE. And to make it worse, all of the Slytherins were watching him.
About to watch him fail.
And will likely fill his bed with spiders or something.
He raised his wand to the room, then turned sharply to the group of snakes. "A few cheers would be great. Go Slytherin? Go Theodore?" You know, just to make this a bit more supportive.
Okay. Back to business. Theodore pointed his wand toward a squashed up pair of trousers on the floor, closed his eyes, and said, "Plic Vestimenta!" Perfect pronunciation, but nothing happened. Coughing shortly, he decided to try it with his eyes open this time.
"Plic Vestimenta!!!!!" Theo watched and..... VIOLA, IT FOLDED. He bounced into the air. Then it sunk in that he had loads of others to fold.
Ugh. Magic was exhausting.
Turning to the next shirt, Theo thrust his wand forward and said, with the same previous enthusiasm, "Plic Vestimenta!!!" And it worked again.
GOLD STAR?
He really wanted to try the older spell. Pssshhh, this one was eeeeeeasy.

A smile stretched on his face and he nodded his head. Yes, if they messed up then Kennedy would be there to help and...my my was that Joao?! Daichi pushed his glasses up a little bit and saw indeed the seventh year Slytherin talking to the Prefect. So he was going to help out too or what? Shaking his head to concentrate on the task ahead, the fourteen year old then heard a chant. He looked round to see a girl (addie) from his house cheering.
"Ready kid?" he asked the first year who's name he did not know and watched the boy do his learned charms on the clothes scattered all over the room. He flicked his wrist while the wand fell out of the wrist holster. Okay, just... concentrate on the brooms. Wait...maybe it was better if he went closer to them... Daichi looked at Kennedy for a second before nervously stepping forward. Okay, he got this...no panic. The room had been transformed back in the messy state it was before they had practised and as Daichi stood in front of the two brooms and saw the dust he wrinkled his nose. Even HE did not have this much dust in his bedroom.
"Liberum" he swished his wand in the air as he pointed it at the first broom. "Arbitrium" a clockwise turn "broom!" To his great surprise, the broom sprung to life! It hovered above the floor for a few seconds and Daichi's eyes twinkled as the object began to sweep the floor. But his amazement was not long last for the sweeping only lasted for about five seconds and the broom fell back on the floor. "S-s-sorry!" he quickly said and looked back at Kennedy, hoping he wasn't mad or something.
Right, why was he even thinking?! He needed to try and clean this room first before the other teams!
A couple cheers the first year asked. Addie was perfectly capable, and really wanted to do that. "Why of course kid!" Addie started clapping her hands, not to loudly though, she didn't want to upset their teacher. "Go Slytherin! Go Theodore!" she exclaimed. What was the other boys name again?
Addie turned and heard the Prefect encourage the boy. Ah! Daichi was his name. "Go Daichi! We can do it! Slytherin's are winners!" she said turning to see if any of her other housemates were cheering.

Alyssa walked alongside both brooms, concentrating on the spell and directing the direction the brooms were supposed to go with her wand. Then she saw danger up ahead!!Warning!! Warning!!!There was a table right in the middle of the path of the brooms!!
Alyssa wished that she could use the levitation spell to move the table out of the way but she didn't want to risk casting another spell for fear that she would lose concentration on the one already in use. So she ran towards the table, running backwards so that she wouldn't lose sight of the brooms and continued to direct what they were supposed to do with the wand in her right hand. Once the brooms were within sweeping distance of the table, she manually tilted the table up with her left hand and with the wand in her right hand directed the brooms to sweep under the table. As brooms swept the dust out from under the table, Alyssa gently placed the table back on the ground before joining the brooms and walking beside them as they continued to sweep the floor and move the dust towards the corner of the room. As Alyssa walked beside them, she started to smile. She was actually beginning to enjoy herself while performing this sweeping spell. So while continuing to concentrate on directing the brooms forwards with her wand, Alyssa started to hum the song, "Whistle while you work".
But just when she was starting to relax and allow her spell to do what it was supposed to do without worrying about it, she saw another danger approaching. WARNING!! WARNING!! There were now two chairs sitting right in the path of her brooms' way!!

Minerva frowned a bit. She heard noise coming from the other houses, but hadn't heard any of her own puffs cheering for them. Hmm, oh well, maybe they were and she just hadn't heard them. Alyssa was doing awesome from what she saw.
She looked around there was just a few pieces of clothing left. She walked over to a few black socks that were thrown on the floor pointing her wand "Plic Vestimenta!" the socks came together and folded into a nice neat group. Once she had them near the other clothes she walked around looking for something else. Spotting something bright under the table she moved closer, it was a hoodie. She pointed her wand "Plic Vestimenta!" the hoodie moved until it was folded. She really liked doing this, it was so much easier then folding by hand. She moved the hoodie and looked around. Noticing a green shirt on the floor to her left she walked over to it. Pointing her wand "Plic Vestimenta!" The shirt folded and she moved it with the rest of the clothes. Looking around the room she couldn't see anything else to fold. "Hey Alyssa I think you can finish the sweeping all the clothes are out of your way in our area." she smiled at how good she thought they were doing.

Sophie knew she hadn't been the best with the new spell, so she didn't volunteer for the competition thing. But she was watching eagerly as Alyssa and Minnie worked hard!
She wished she could help in any way...
OH!!! CHAIRS!
Sophie COULD help now! Maybe it wouldn't be good to try any spells for now... maybe she could mess up or something. Or maybe the professor wouldn't like it... soooooo she decided to do like Alyssa and raaaan towards the chairs, pulling them out of the brooms' way.

Zhenya looked around and watched people get into their groups. She had no group, so she raised her hand and said, "Are there any first and second year snakes that need a third year?"
Hopefully there would be... She panicked a little as she saw people running around starting their jobs.

Alyssa breathed a sigh of relief when Sophie came to her help. If she hadn't moved the chairs out of the way for her, Alyssa knew that she would have been forced to back into them and kick them out of the way by herself but she knew that by doing that she risked losing her concentration or worse yet, falling over them. So she smiled her thanks at Sophie before proceeding to walk with the brooms, directing them with her wand as they headed towards the corner, sweeping alongside each other. Alyssa kept an eye out for more obstacles, but since Minnie had given her the all clear, she happily directed the brooms towards the corner of the room.
Alyssa did a quick glance to see how Minnie was doing and grinned to see that she had successfully completed her part of the task. 'Okay Lyssie it's all up to you know. Let's finish this.'Alyssa thought to herself as the brooms reached the corner of the room. Now for the tricky part, to make the brooms sweep all the dust together to form a pile.
Concentrating even harder on the spell and what she now wanted the brooms to do, Alyssa directed the brooms to sweep towards each other, thus moving the dust and dirt to form a pile. Alyssa looked back the way she and the brooms had come to make sure that there was no more dust lying on the floor and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the floor was nice and clean. Now that she was done with the sweeping, Alyssa ended the spell by saying "Finite" and the brooms fell back on the ground.
Now to make the dust disappear. Alyssa pointed her wand at the pile and concentrating hard on the vanishing spell, she said, "EVANESCO". A beam of light shot out from her wand and engulfed the pile of dust and when the light disappeared, there was nothing left on the floor. The dust had vanished into thin air. Alyssa breathed a sigh of relief and then pumped the air with her fist. She had actually completed her part of the task, without any mishap, thanks to Sophie's help. She grinned over at Minnie and gave her the thumbs up sign.

Ella had been watching, holding her breath as she saw the close-call with the chairs. Thank merlin Sophie had stepped in to help! The second year smiled as she watched Alyssa finishing the task with the brooms as she knew Minnie had already completed the folding. Her eyes grew wide when a beam of light left her wand and made the dust disappear. "Wicked!" She said, impressed. And then they were done, the task was completed. "Great job, girls." She said quietly, not wanting to disturb any of the other groups.

Louisa stayed still in her place in anticipation. "Guys? You're paying attention to me? Hello?" She murmured looking at the blue people.
Where were her fellow blue people? Beezus was jumping up and down as the commotion started. Well, commotion as in crowding up to form their house groups.
Then she heard Louisa's voice. "Louisa?" Darn it. It wasn't really fun to be that short. She really needed a height boost. Getting a bit lost with all her classmates going to and fro, she finally grabbed sight of a blue robe. There, just straight ahead. Almost running, she firmly gripped her wand as she made her way out of the crowd.
"Pweew! Louisa. I'd volunteer if you need someone for the Folding Charm." Yes. She can do it, and the other eagles would be their to assist if she forgot the incantation so that wasn't all bad.

He needed to try and clean this room first before the other teams!
...and just as she looked over, Daichi had a broom hovering above the floor then starting to sweep. That didn't last long, though. The broom fell back onto the floor, leaving Sierra looking at the broom first and then around the room to see how the other houses were doing. "That's okay, Daichi," she said. "Mine did the same thing. Just pick it up and give it another go."

Hopefully there would be... She panicked a little as she saw people running around starting their jobs.
Overhearing a slightly familiar voice, Sierra turned to see a girl she'd played Quidditch with before. "You don't need to find a partner," she corrected. "You just work with your entire house. A few of us are performing the charms, and the rest of us are just cheering them on." They'd already chosen the one's performing the charm, so all that was left was to cheer them on.

She was fumbling with her wand, waiting for instructions from their Prefect when she heard that....
On instinct, she turned around. That somebody who spoke up was a Ravenclaw. Quickly, she grabbed the girl and well...tried a bit of explaining. "Uhmm..you're Violet right? The activity isn't exactly something that you'd go looking for a partner. It's a house teamwork. You see, Professor Bellaire said there should be two representatives from each house. One to perform the Folding Charm and the other to..." what was the word? "Err...make the broom sweep. So..I think us eagles should agree amongst ourselves who will be to represent our House Team." Yeah? She did explain it correctly, right?
NOW. Can they start planning and choosing?
Nerida walked over to her fellow Ravenclaws and listened to what they were saying and nodded that seemed like the best idea, she wondered if anyone had done those before... She could do the spell but if there was someone with more experiance they could do it. I can do the spell if needed? She could preform the spell but she wasnt a master, just like she could do the broom sweep but she wasnt a master!

Violet was extremely confused now and blushed at Angelina muttering a short "Sorry." before another girl, this time in her own house of Ravenclaw to come rambling towards her.
Violet nearly jumped when the third person to come at her was a really jumpy Ravenclaw. "GAH! Um..um um!!!" Violet stuttered a lot now. "okay. I'll just..okay." she managed to get out of her mouth. It was way too overwhelming for Violet to handle all at once and her eyes widened with confusion and fear.

Mika looked up it was a team work thing and she was still in practice mode. "Violet - I can be the young-person-thingy if you want me to be" she smiled brightly. Her eyes shining with both fear and admiration she wanted SO much to WIN in this class.
Because Ravenclaw was really that word the head girl always said - Awesometastical...but they were Clawtastical...or Clawsome.

Silvia made her way over to where the other Ravenclaws were gathering and stood there quietly. Although she could perform the spell, she wasn't going to volunteer unless no one else did. But she would gladly support her house from the sidelines. Luckily, it seemed there was another young Ravenclaw confident enough to volunteer.

Penny couldn't believe how few 'Claws there were in class not to mention that most of them were 3rd year or lower! It looked like at least two of the other houses were almost done with the task for crying out loud! Penny shoved her hands in her pocket and looked at the ceiling. Finally she came to a decision.
"Alright. I'll do the older part I just need a younger partner. So who's it gonna be?"

There were now more Ravenclaws joining their little team, but Violet realized that the other houses were already done their job. So much for Ravenclaws being smart and responsible people. After her little Ravenclaw stamped towards her, she tried to regain herself when her friend Mika called her. "yeah. sure, though I am only a year older than you." she laughed.
Then there was another Ravenclaw who seemed a lot older than her. "Yeah, I guess you can be the older one. I don't know if the professor will allow it though, but at the same time I don't see any older Ravenclaws either." she said the last part in a small whisper and quickly glanced at the professor as if for reassurance for herself. "I guess we should start splitting up the jobs eh?" Whenever Violet got nervous, her Canadian accent would slowly creep up again as she spoke and it annoyed her a lot. She sighed unhappyily.

Glancing down....okay more then a little down...Penny smiled at the younger Ravenclaw that had stepped up with her. She seemed a bit timid but it took guts to do what she was doing. Her accent was cute too.
"I'm Penny." Her own southern drawl was quite in evidence as she spoke to her fellow Ravvie. "Okay so you are supposed to do the laundry and I've got the sweepin'. You need any help just ask me or anyone from our house."
Her stomach gave an odd flip flop and nervous butterflies went to dancing in her mid section. This was soooo not what she had wanted out of today. Sighing she looked down at her little partner. "Ya ready?"

Theodore's eyes darted to the other boy, who was just crumbin' it up! DUUUUUUUDE, he was a first year and he was doing it right, "Pull yo'self togetherrrrr!" He instructed him. With his eyes still on the Slytherins, Theo tried being cocky by pointing his wand at some clothes without looking.
He pretended to yawn and muttered, "Plic Vestmentahhhhhhh." Smirking, Theodore looked to his produce but his wand seemed to have made MORE dust.
Ooops, more work for the other kid.
Theodore decided to tackle the chests of drawers with clothes hanging out next. This looked a bit more difficult. "Hmmm..."
He stepped just a liiiiitttle bit closer, closed one eye and stuck out his tongue for precision. "Plic Vestimenta." He said very carefully, and he managed to fold a pair of socks.
-________- DAMN IT, HE'D BE HERE ALL DAY.
Though, he continued with the same concentration, until he successfully folded what was in the chest of drawers. Was he meant to close the drawers himself? He hadn't been told a spell to close drawers. Ehhhhh.... Theodore subtly stepped forwards and closed them.
He turned to his Slytherins, "You know, I couldn't get a bottle of water or summin? This is exhausting..."
