YES.
Theodore puffed out his chest, getting ready for his gold star.
Smug, smug, SMUG. This one here was really trying hard for that star. Sophia shook her head though she did chuckle lightly. "You'll get that star soon, keep trying." Next Quote:

"To aid in Tidying up Mr. Rush." There was a difference. Quote:

Yeah, the seventh year was WAY too experienced to even THINK about thinking about what might be behind the curtain.
......Though, the Professors never ceased to surprise her. A bedroom? And a dirty one at that.... She raised an eyebrow, "Cleaining?"
She ain't cleaning. She didn't do that. That was what house elves were for.
Where was Kurumi? Hmmm she looked at the girl." Yes Miss Stone, cleaning." Quote:

A bedroom. A very untidy bedroom... "This looks like my room" he giggled as he looked at the messed up bed , clothes on the floor. Moving his eyes away from the bedroom to the woman he thought for a few seconds before holding his hand in the air. "Are we going to learn how to fold with the use of magic?" he asked and pouted his lips a little. If he was right then he wasn't sure if he would like it. The Slytherin prefered a messy room cause he could find everything better than a tidy room. Atleast that was the case with his own bedroom.
Not that his father agreed to that. She beamed at him.Very good, he hit the nail right on the head. "Correct Katharos. One of the spells we'll be learning is the folding spell. Take two points and a star." Another flick of her wand and the boy had a shining gold star. Quote:

"Right, cleaning with Charms." SPOILER!!: You're all right ^_^ Quote:

"Will we be working on any of a number of charms that can be used to do household chores?" he questioned wording it differently then his classmates that had already spoken.
Maybe not necessarly cleaning charms but he could be wrong. And while his parents tended to show them not to rely on magic to do everything, Gideon was aware that there were plenty of charms to do a plethera of things. Quote:

No she didn't plan on cheating her way through life but keeping scary Professor from giving her detention because her tie was off kilter felt like a good idea. It did. A brilliant idea.
"Are w-we doing cl-cleansing ch-charms?" She stammered out quietly her words barely a whisper.
When she saw the reveal of the room she almost snorted. Almost. It looked like hers at home the week before she left for school. Everything in piles - everything haphazard. Quote:

Maybe they would learn a spell to...help clean everything up? That could be it. Yeah, that sounded like a very good answer! Ahh, Ronnie is so brilliant. Ronnie's hand shot up. "Will we be learning a spell to help us clean?" she asked. Quote:

Oh...so they could sit down now? Was this going to be a routine for her lessons? Standing up and having their uniforms inspected? Kurumi suddenly felt nostalgic all of a sudden for Japan. They did this before each lesson as well - stand up, bow, teacher inspected their uniforms to make sure skirts were at appropriate length and ties were done just so. So, since Kurumi had gone through all this before, it was not too unusual for her.
And then instructions. Right. Don't speak unless spoken to and if you are answering a question and always raise your hand. Wasn't that just proper protocol for every lesson? Kurumi was under the impression that it was, but did not comment and instead took her seat, making sure to sit up nice and tall with good posture while she waited for...whatever it was that was about to happen.
And then came the standard introduction question, well...sort of. She hadn't asked what a charm was, so that was refreshing at least. Kurumi's thoughts lingered on the word discipline and what exactly that all entailed. Kurumi wasn't sure, but it seemed like the standard charms are spells that focus on altering what the object does as opposed to what the object is was what she was looking for.
Kurumi decided to remain silent through this portion, listening quietly and taking notes seeing as she always saw these sort of introduction questions are being aimed more for the younger students to wet their feet in the subject matter.
Aha, so Kurumi had been right that the standard answer had not been what she had been looking for. Taking note of the most basic definition - we liked basic things - Kurumi made sure her wand was in her pocket and then followed the professor, making sure to stand to her left.
And then Kurumi sort of just stared at what was behind the curtain. Sort of...ironic considering how obsessed the woman seemed to be with cleanliness. Actually...no, it made perfect sense that they would be reorganizing a messy room and putting everything in its proper place. However, when students were discussing Scourgify and other cleaning spells, Kurumi cocked her head to the side. The mess in front of them wasn't that sort of cleaning, was it? She thought Scourgify was more for spills and removing grime and what not.
Kurumi slowly raised her hand. " Professor, it is along the lines of cleaning...but more specifically are we going to learn spells that will assist us in folding clothing?" Since that was the bulk of the mess. Clothes. Everywhere. Quote:

From what I can see, the clothes don't look dirty but just require folding up. And the rest of the stuff just need to be put back where they belong. So we would be using spells to do that." Alyssa suggested. Then she realized another possibility and added,"We could also be using a spell to hide how untidy the room is, like charm it to look nice to the eye of the beholder."
'Hey it was a worth a try, since Cody always tries to get Alex to do that for her.' Alyssa thought to herself. Quote:

This wasn't Care of Magical Creatures class, but then again, one could never be too careful with the revealing of something behind a curtain. So Sierra slooowly turned around to see for herself. ...a messy bedroom?!
Pause. Half the kids in this room probably slept in a similar place back at home. Not Sierra, but still...some probably did. She listened as her classmates gave answers about cleaning charms and the like. Ha. She could have used those at home this summer, when her mother decided to have her start learning responsibilities. Blahhh.
Raising her hand, Sierra said, "Looks like we're going to learn to clean the quick and easy way." The magical way. She put down her hand and shrugged. "Or how to summon a house elf. One or the other." Quote:

He raised a tentative hand as he peeled his eyes away from the topsy-turvy and focused back to the Professor "Professor, are we going to learn spells on how to organize this room?" Quote:

Silvia raised her hand. "Are we going to be learning some sort of cleaning spell?" Quote:

Buuut...what if the professor was not looking for the most obvious answer.
She thought for a minute. She didn't want the professor to again think she was dense. Not that she came out and said that, but she could definitely tell that was what she was thinking with look she got. Hannah raised her hand. "Professor I think we may be using some sort of cleaning charm, but also I think maybe it will be something less obvious." Ok she was rambling. She was sure she was going to get that eye again. Hand still raised, "What I mean is maybe we will be learing how to tell if an object has been charmed?" This sounded better in her head. "Since this room is a mess and there are so many common objects."
That's it. She wasn't going to say anymore...she felt like she was only becoming more confusing the more she talked. She only hoped the professor would appreciate her thinking outside the box a bit. Quote:

Because that just made sense. Unless she wanted them to clean it manually. Quote:

Lily made sure to raise her hand before answering the question. "Um.. We're learning how to fold clothes using charms..." You know... because there was unfolded clothes in the basket. Quote:

Okay now things were looking a lot better, people were actually thinking now. It put her in a much better mood. Though this was quite easy so, yeah.
" You're all quite right. Today we'll be looking at spells to aid us with cleaning. As I'm sure a lot of you have bedrooms that look like this." Which was quite a shame really.
"We'll be looking at two spells, they are Plic Vestimenta, which is the spell to fold and Liberum Arbitrium which is a motor spell. Third years will be working with the folding spells and the older students will be working with the motor spells."
She moved to the basket and pulled out a shirt. " Pay attention." She gave the shirt a gentle tap on the shirt and said Plic Vestimenta" The shirt quickly folded itself. She smiled at the neatly folded shirt. "See? Very simple." She moved across the room to the brooms. "Now this spell, you need to say the name of the object you are charming. Like this:Liberum Arbitrium Broom. Swish and clockwise twirl of the wand." She proceeded to do as she instructed and the broom sprung into action, sweeping on it's on free will. "You can use this on any cleaning instrument."
She stepped aside. "Now everyone take turns practicing. Older students there are enough brooms for everyone to practice on and enough clothing pieces for the younger ones."
