The professor motioned them to follow in another greenhouse. It was darker there and surely, a lot of pixies. Peppermint Striped Parasol. She connected the details provided by the professor. She knitted the informations and assumed that it must be used to make peppermint. Then she remembered something she met in the Herbology book that she really didn't took the time to understand. She kind of has photographic memory sometimes. She just hopes, she remembered it well.

Erin raised her hand and said, "Peppermint Parasol Toadstools are valuable because there is an overwhelming need for it since it is used as one of the main ingredients in making peppermint or the famous 'Magic Menty Melts'. Because of overharvesting of these toadstools, it is quite rare nowadays."

Seren smiled, slightly amused.

"Keep up dear, you'll need your wits about for this activity."

So they will be fighting some pixies ! They may look cute(for Beezus that is) but they look not so happy now since some other students have already started picking up some caps. This is sure going to be an adventure, alright !

Beezus started to grin as the other students began fighting the pixies. They just looked entertaining. However, her entertainment didn't last quite long because a two pixies are now pulling her hair ! She was not even touching the toadstool yet ! "Aw !Aw! Aw !" she exclaimed, trying to find a way to stun or freeze the pixies. But they kept on pulling her hair, and because it was considerably long, she was having a hard time !

Enduring the pain, she quickly pulled her wand from her pocket and muttered, "Immobulus !" pointing her wand at her head. Hell, she could've even hit her own head. But luckily, one pixie froze. "One more," she muttered with difficulty. Why, this pixies are talented in hair pulling ! This time she tried the stunning spell but before she could say the incantation, the pixie flew to face her. Having the adrenaline rush, she immediately said, "Stupefy !" and the second pixie fell over. She then ran to the nearest toadstool, firmly hold its cap and twist. She got one !

Harvest the caps. Alright. It sounded simple enough.

But... there were pixies?!

That was not good!

...

Banishing those terrible images that were in her head with pixies trying to steal her wand and fly away with it, Nora turned her attention to the first cap. Gloves on, she held it by the top and twisted it off, and then placed it in the cardboard box.

Simple enough. Hehe.

Pixies...

Fun.

Wand in hand, Aurora made her way to the first 'stool. She'd never got this close to them before; she hated pixies. Her brother had caught one and unleashed it in her bedroom when they were kids... her Mother had had to charm bits of her hair to grow back so she didn't look lopsided. Ah... she had an idea. Wiggling her wand she produced her silver and green ribbons and used them to secure her hair into a ponytail. Much better.

Okay... now for the first cap...

She crept slowly towards it... then, out of nowhere, AAAAHHHH PIXIE!!!!!!!! It launched itself at her and grabbed onto her robes. She squealed as it tried to climb up the sleeve... it was going to bite her! She wriggled to point her wand at it. "STUPEFY!" she shouted and the pixie fell out of her sleeve, stunned. She sighed in relief and went back to the toadstool...


IT WAS IN HER HAIR!!!!

A pixie had grabbed the ribbons keeping her long red curls held back and let her hair loose and now it was pulling and pulling and it really hurt. "Get it out! Get it out! GET IT OUT!" she squealed. This was EXACTLY what had happened with the one back home...

"Help me!!!!!"

After placing the first cap in the cardboard box, Nora walked back to another toadstool. She held it by the top and... something was messing with her ponytail. She waved one hand somewhere around the back of her head, but it hit the air. Maybe it was just her imagination.

She held again the toadstool by the top and...

... something was definitely messing with her ponytail.

"EEEEEEEK!"

THE PIXIE WAS PULLING HER HAIR!

"Stupefy!" She shrieked, pointing her wand at the annoying pixie. There! No pixie should EVER mess with Nora's hair!

Anyway. Back to the toadstool. She held it by the top and finally twisted the cap off. She placed it in the box next to the others, and returned for the last one.

Erin listened intently to Professor Bentley's instructions. Pixies just scare her. She needs to focus on her wand movements and clearing her thoughts to stun the pixie as quickly as possible.

Okay, she needs to harvest three caps and it's over. She moved a little closer to one of the toadstools. As Erin raised her wand at the ready, the pixie started attacking her. The pixie directly aimed at her face. What the hell? And here it comes, Erin looks like she's the one who's stunned. She should think faster. How is she going to freeze or stun this pixie. She hasn't learned the spell yet. She should sometimes try to visit the library. Then she remembered one of her encounters at the Hogwarts grounds. That girl talked to her about Stunning spells. She just couldn't remember her, or the spell. Deym!

Yes! It was 'Stupefy'. She should concentrate on stunning the pixie then one cap. But before she could even say the incantation, the pixie pulled her ear. "Ouch! That hurts!" She looked behind, the pixie is aiming at her once again. This time, she's ready. "Stupefy!" And the bad pixie feel down.

Was that Rora ? Now she was struggling the way Beezus had in order to get her first cap. Gah, this pixies are really queens of hair pull ! She quickly held her wand up high and pointed at Aurora's head.

"Don't move !" Beezus instructed her, "Immobulus !" she muttered. The pixie oddly opened its eyes that it became so big and it slowly floated upward. Looking like a frozen inflated balloon.

Thank Merlin... "Th-thanks... I hate pixies..." Aurora said, breathing heavily. Then she pounced on the mushroom and twisted the cap, it came off easily and she ran to put it into the box before any pixies could get at her.

HA! SILLY PIXIES! YOUR PLAN TO KILL ME HAS FOILED AGAIN!

She looked 'round to see who had saved her life... oh. It was that silly little first year from Diagon Alley... Well, she guessed they were equal now...

Ahh Nora was MAD! How could professor Bentley let them work with pixies all around that tried to harm them?! She was making her way back to another toadstool, when...

"AAAAAAHHH!"

*THUD*

... on the ground she fell.

Sitting there on the ground, the first thing she did was to check if her wand was still in her pocket. She started by patting around her pockets gently, but then desperately, until she finally found it. "STUPEFY!" Take THAT, annoying pixie!

Not wanting to waste any more time, she held one toadstool by the top and twisted its cap off, and then placed it in the box. DONE.

She SO didn't like Herbology.

Erin, after stunning the first pixie walked toward the toadstool cap and twisted it. She hurried at the box the professor indicated, then came back to stun another pixie. This is getting really exciting. Pixie falling down.

Now, REVENGE!.

This time, as she leaned closer to another toadstool still with a cap, two pixies are guarding it. There's no way she can get away from them. The first one started on her hair and pulled it. She was dragged backwards and she fell. Grrrrr! She breathe loud from her nose. Before she could even stand properly, she raised her wand and shouted, louder this time, "Stupefy! Stupefy!" And the two pixies fell down.

Yay! this is the feeling of happiness after that hard hair pull. She moved over to the toadstool, bent down and twisted the cap. She went toward the indicated box and deposited her harvest. She smiled at Professor Bentley before coming back to get another pixie. Oh no! Another toadstool cap she means.

"No big." she answered. Come on, what was she about to say ? She had completely forgotten about their encounter at Diagon Alley and she certainly ain't bitter towards Aurora.But seriously, she needed to get two more caps now. She immediately placed the first cap at the box and returned to the activity area.

Without wasting anymore time, she quickly darted towards a toadstool. No pixie was guarding it. Easy. She held its cap firmly and twist. There your second cap goes ! Just as she was about to turn around, a pixie had pushed her ! Good thing she was near someone, preventing her total face down fall. "Sorry." she said. And then, time for the pixie !

"Stupefy !" But the little pixie had darted upward. Oh, this pixie was really testing her temper. She followed it until it flew close to where the box was placed, "Hey pixie ! Look, there's the caps !" and the pixie just bit the trap. "Stupefy !" Aha. Revenge was sweet. She smiled at Professor Seren as the pixie fell to the ground and she then placed the cap in the box.

Stunning and freezing? Awesome! He doubted many people knew how to though. Hugo wasn't the best at stunning either, he still needed practice. Now, stunning was a lot more fun than freezing in Hugo's opinion. So he rolled up his sleeves, stepped forwards like an action hero and took out his wand. This was going to be fun, heh heh. "If anyone needs any help with the pixies... I would love to help," he said slicing the air with his wand. Now if only he could do non-verbals. He would need to ask someone about that soon. He wanted to be able to do them so badly.

Alright. Hugo gripped the cap tightly, getting ready to pull... And then a pixie flew out and pulled his hair. A second pixie flew around Hugo's head and before he knew it there were a lot more. He hit one by his ear away with his hand. Argh, how was he ever going to get to the cap now? Wand. Now. "STUPEFY!" a blue light shot out of his wand, hitting a pixie with full blow. The pixie fell unconscious out of the air. YEAH THIS WAS AWESOME. Oh boy more pixies. "IMMOBULUS!" he yelled and a small group of people came to a halt. Then, he hit them out of the air.

THWACK!

Kurumi would not approve. Heh, but it was so much fun. "Stupefy!" he yelled and blasted another pixie unconcious. Now, pixie free for a moment, he ran towards the cap, gripped it, and twisted it untill it came off. But now a pixie had flown to him with a couple mates and grabbed a hold of the cap, flying off. "Merlin!" he yelled, pulling out his wand. "IMMOBULUS!"

And everything was still around the cap. He wacked some pixies of his precious cap and pulled it out of the air, shaking it to make a couple pixies fall off. Then he ran towards the cardboard box, smiled at professor Bentley and dropped it in. Fun class.

After taking down notes about the toadstool, Janice went on to harvest the caps. Jut after she kneeled down, pixies started to play with her hair, pulling it up and down and up again. She tried to be patient with them, but it seems that ignoring them is quite a foolish thing to do.

"Immobulus!!!"

That saved her neck.

Then, she hold one of the cap and twist it. The cap went off smooth, and she placed it in between herfeet so the pixies won't get it.

One down, two more to go.

Slowly, Aurora crept up to another 'stool... then, quick as a flash, hand out, grasp cap, twist, into the box.

YES! TAKE THAT, PIXIES!

Oh... or not... Two pixies flew right at her face. "Stupefy, Immobulus!" They both stopped in mid air, she caught them and laid them on the ground near the stools - didn't want them hurting themselves. She was busy admiring her handiwork when...

"AAHHH!" A pixie yanked off one of her gloves and sank it's teeth into her hand...

Her wand hand...

She shook it off, stunned it and looked down at her hand.

Great. She was bleeding...

AGAIN!

Honestly, Hogwarts is bad for your health.

She still had one last cap to get so she fished a handkerchief from her pocket and wrapped it tightly around her hand to stop the bleeding. Silly thin blood and the stupid amount of bleeding... Then, securing the handkerchief with one of her hair ribbons, she grasped her wand again and turned back to the toad stools.


The pixies were going down.

After putting one cap inside the box, Janice went back to the toadstools and the pixies. They crowded her as she get nearer to the toadstools, made her to shout Freezing charms to get her way through them. The pixies, of course, weren't that stupid, so they went for her wand instead. Janice hid her wand in the foldings of her robes, ran through dozens of pixies, got hold of a cap, twist, and ran back to the box to put the cap in. Then, she caught a glimpse of Professor Bentley. Was she smiling? She thought as she went in the crowd pixies and students for the third time.

Hugo looked behind him, where a girl was also battling with the pixies. And then... A pixie bit her. Wow, that looked painful. "You're bleeding," he said to the girl. Oh hey, captain obvious. He had read a book on that. He knew a spell. "I can fix that for you if you'd like," he said and smiled at the girl while a pixie flew on the side of his head and pulled his ear. "DAMN PIXIE!" he yelled and whacked it off his ear.

Kynthia followed the teacher to another section of Greenhouse 1, only to find another kind of toadstool. She took notes with some difficulty, as she was standing along with the rest of the class.
Peppermint Striped Parasols. She thought. Huh. What are we pulling out this time?

"Yes... I am... it happens." she said, looking at his robes. Ravenclaw? Really? And all he had got was 'You're bleeding'?

Oh, well that could help...

"Um, yeah, please... only... I kinda have thin blood so it might be more difficult..." she said, remembering the Healers thought about giving her that blood thickening potion thing... Maybe it would have helped....

"Immobulus!" she pointed her wand at the pixie who was coming back for more... HA! "I hate these things." she said, glaring at the fluttery little pixies all around.

Last one.

This is getting really fun. This is the first battle Erin ever had in the magical world. So, this is how you fight in here.

Coming from where the box was located, Erin looked for her last cap to harvest. She saw one and only one pixie was guarding it. Good. That pixie is going to die, or get stunned or freeze. This pixie is going to suffer like the rest. She waved her wand at the ready and muttered "Stupefy!" but she missed it. The pixie who was nearly stunned aimed at her hair and another one came and another one. They were all biting and stinging her arms.

"Stupefy!"

She hears other students using the spell 'Immobulus'. She haven't met that spell yet. She didn't bother. Stupefy works for her. She's going to stick to it. It hit the two pixies together. Striking two with one stone.

She tried hard not to look at the bitten part of her skin. She hates blood. Oh no! Not here. She's not going to faint here. It was painful. But she could do nothing but look. She needs to proceed to what she needs to do. "Oooh! No blood. That almost freaked me out." Blood. She hates blood coming from her.

She walked at the toadstool, took hold of the cap and twisted it. She moved towards the box and put there her last cap. And, she was done.

"Alright, you're gonna feel sort of a cold-hot sensation in your arm... But the wound should heal up," he said. At least that's what it did when he tried it on himself once. He removed the handkerchief from her arm and pointed his wand at the wound. So wait, the movement... Yeah he was pretty sure he remembered it. Circle... "Episkey," he said looking at the wound. Did it work. He could use that Vulnera Sanentur spell but that one was soooo complicated. But sure enough the wound started healing up. "Feel better?" he asked and whacked a pixie out of the air, just because it was fun.

Let's get dem pixies.

Beezus had successfully got two caps and now it was the time for the third one to be brought to her hands. She was really itching it get this done and over with. Why, the pixies were very violent and as what she can see, no student had yet been unscathed.

She roamed her eyes for another toadstool without a guard. Every one of it seems to have. And then, there it was. At the very corner, seemingly waiting for her to pick its cap, not to mention that the soldiers of Doom wasn't anywhere near. She quickened her pace and bent immediately, ready to pluck its cap. And then a pixie just appeared out of nowhere ! It was smiling wickedly at her, or at least she thought it was. "What're you smiling at ?" she asked the pixie, her forehead pleating with undeniable irritation. Then the pixie smiled widely at her. Her ! "Oh, you think I'm funny do you ?" but the pixie kept on smiling. She pointed her wand at the pixie but it didn't move. "So you're not scared huh ?" The pixie nodded.She slowly stood up, the pixie flying higher, following her gaze. Was this pixie nuts ? she thought.

Well, only one way to find out. "Stupe-" but before she could even finish the incantation, the pixie flew away ! "So that's what you call not scared ?" she dared. She bent once more and for the third time. Hold and Twist. And there, she got the third cap ! However, just as she was about to stand up, something bit her arm ! It was the same nutty pixie ! "Ouch ! Stop that !" then the pixie stopped. She saw that the pixie had just bitten the cloth of her robes. The pixie was not so bad after all. But she needed to put the cap in the box. As much as she wanted to play with the pixie, she also was tired. "Stupefy !" and the pixie fell. She held it and placed it carefully in the ground.

And then she went to where the box was placed and put the third cap inside.

Aurora nodded, "I know... Um, I get hurt quite a lot..." she admitted, looking a little sheepish.

Aaah, that was better... she wasn't bleeding anymore.. good. The wound wasn't entirely gone but it didn't hurt anymore. It would be gone by... bedtime probably. She should learn that spell. "Much better. Thanks." She smiled at the boy. "I'm Aurora by the way." she said, keeping a close eye on the toad stools and the pixies... AHA! THAT ONE WAS UNGUARDED!!!! "One moment." she said, running over and twisting off the cap before any pixies could get at her. She dropped it into the box and went back to the boy. "You have a pixie on your head." she said, pointing her wand at it. "Stupefy." HA! See, don't mess with Aurora. Silly pixies.

As she ran back to the crowd of pixies, Janice hid her wand in the foldings of her robes and use physical ways instead to go back to te toadstools since the pixies are now targetting her wand. She twisted a random cap and something on the soil caught her attention. It was the spores Professor Bentley was talking about. She reached to touch the spores and.....

*THWACK*
The pixies had grabbed her toadstool cap.

Drawing her wand from behind her robes, she cried "IMMOBULUS!!" to a dozen pixies who were trying to lift the cap higher and higherin the air. They suddenly froze, and the whole thing (a dozen pixies and the toadstool cap alike) rained down right into her soroundings as she shut her eyes. She opened them and took the cap from the ground.

After putting the cap into the box, she made a mental note not to get near a Peppermint Striped Parasol's Toadstool ever, ever again.

"Maybe you should look out for yourself better," Hugo chuckled. Then again, missing classes for being in the hospital wing would be cool, if that was your thing. It was certainly not Hugo's thing. He loved going to classes.

"You're welcome," he nodded. TWACK. Heh, he was getting good at this whacking pixies thing. He didn't even need a wand. "I'm Hugo," he told her. He rather liked this girl. She had powah. He had a pixie on his head. He would just whack it o-- HOLY MERLINPANTS did she just stun it off his head? O_________o That was CLOSE. "T-thanks," he stuttered, feeling as if that stunning spell had hit him. "I-I should get back to the toadstools," Hugo said to Aurora. "It was nice meeting you!" He turned around. "STUPEFY!" He shot a pixie out of the air.

There. A toadstool with only a few pixies on top. "IMMOBULUS!" he yelled and stopped the pixie's movement. He hit them off the top and twisted off the cap. VICTORAY! He ran towards the cardboard box and dropped the cap in. Just one more to go!
