In one of the vacant rooms down in the castle dungeons, the furniture has been removed to give room for a small stage and a big circular dance floor. Performing during the Deathday Party is the four-man skeleton band Superior Maxillary with the lead singer Henry. The band will play songs from several centuries and also those songs which the ghosts and portraits have requested. The walls of the dungeon are decorated in a dark and deathlike theme with candles; fireflies in small cages; purple and grey velvet curtaining; and hanging decorations that look as if they were fashioned from cobwebs.

Marilyn was amazed. It became apparent to her as she stepped further into the dungeons that the DEAD obviously knew how to party better than anyone alive...The decor was deeply fabulous and medieval...which the blonde was a fan of.

Now to find Sir. Nick....

Jez stood on the edges of the dance floor, unsure of what to do. She hadn't really danced before - well, her older brother Keegan had jokingly taught her the waltz and the tango, but that had ended in disaster anyway. She wondered whether that dance class in the gazebo wasn't as stupid as she'd first assumed it to be. She smiled as she watched the ghosts and humans having a good time.
Oh Merlin's pants, why not?
Jez started to dance too. Badly, of course, but body movements discernible as dancing none the less. What's more, she found she was actually rather enjoying herself.

Cassie FINALLY made it down to the dungeon for Nick's party. Why was it so bloody creepy in the dungeon. Ack, they had like second hand oxygen down here or something...yeah she best not think about that..she didn't want to end up freaking herself out about stale air.

Spotting the blonde Cassie hurried over and tapped her on the shoulder." Hey hey girly." She hadn't seen her since class. Right music was playing which meant Cassie wouldn't be standing still for very long and the tap tap tapping of her foot and gentle swaying proved that. Music+Cassie=Dance party.

He was still very interested in that. He still sort of wondered how it worked, exactly.
"I'm guessing this happens every year?" he asked afterward, just assuming a deathday was like a birthday, and therefore, probably had a yearly party to go with it.

It was probably stolen.

Marilyn started outright laughing. This was why she loved Cassie...because Cassie was REAL...Not fake, a liar, or something she wasn't...Not, her hufflepuff friend was herself ALL the time and Marilyn appreciated it more than the girl knew.

Yay her friend was laughing which meant she was having fun. An awesome night was ahead of them then right? She would accept nothing less. With all the drama and angst flooding the seventh year group, this death day party was very much needed to help the lot of them unwind.

"Oh dear you are so right...but do the lovely dears wear shoes? I think we ought to coax one into playing dress up." Because that would just be totally fun. or maybe they could get two and have a house elf fashion show down..RAWR!

Cassie's jaws detached further the more Marilyn filled her in on the details. Oh wow it was really no good. Where was Carter's heart though? If it was with his girlfriend, Marilyn, then she had nothing to worry about." But why would all this be an issue now? I mean she said she moved on right?"

"Good evening Sir Nicholas," Kurumi chirped with a bow. "And...um...congratulations." Was that the proper thing to say on this occasion? She wasn't entirely sure. "This is my first time attending such an event...and I am not sure what is considered proper etiquette...but I brought you these," she said as she presented him the flowers. "It's not much, but I hope you will accept them."

Kurumi nearly threw the flowers up in the air when another ghost went RIGHT through her. It felt weird...really weird...and her nose wrinkled just a bit.

Then, he was removing his head and putting on a rather elaborate show. Wasn't that something that...was a bit sensitive to Sir Nicholas? Showing off how detached his head was and all? Kurumi simply smiled at the other ghost, but tried to keep all her attention on the ghost of the hour.

It didn't matter, though. This was what she needed. A distraction. Cassie knew that and was acting silly right along with her. In Marilyn's six previous years at the magical school, she'd never had a friend like her Hufflepuff.

Deathday party? Now this term didn't fail his expectations. What is up with Hogwarts this term? First the dancing lessons at the Gazebo and now, a deathday party. Maybe they have a knack for dancing now. Should be fun.

Jonathan eyed the dance floor. Students didn't arrive yet. Maybe they forgot the day was today? NAH! How could they forget? It's Nearly Headless Nick's deathday.

Marilyn was being handled by her friend. They continued to twirl each other and dip back and forth. There was A LOT of giggling and laughing, and Marilyn honestly couldn't remember the last time she'd had so much fun...

Well, yea...She could...but no thinking about Carter right now...Pushing him to the back of her mind, she kept dancing...spinning around Cass easily and even threw in a couple of the turns they'd done in Dance class...

Geraldine was enjoying herself at looking at all the students dancing...hahaha,its sooo funny,in a not insulting way...haha..it was worth watching, haha,as if Geraldine was any good at dancing herself, if shed dance everyone would make room for her cause shes such at cluts that she might hurt anyone near her. Maybe it was right for hogwarts to give out dance lessons, cause most of the students,including Geraldine,badly needed it.

Geraldine also noticed that the the place was starting to catch more attention cause now a few more students entered and joined in the party. Also a few moments ago Sir Nicholas(birthday-boy? i mean deathday-boy!?) was here,and many students greeted him.

Anyway, Geraldine stayed by the corner,still enjoying the happenings on the dancefloor,and also enjoyed listening to the music.

"Hi!" greeted her to the boy. "Have you ever attended this party before?" asked her

Jonathan stood on the sides, he didn't really want to dance or whatsoever. He just wants to see what the dance floor looked like. It's really pretty and although not many students are dancing yet, the dance floor looked really fun.

Out of nowhere, someone talked to Jonathan. A little snake. She looked like a first year. Maybe she is? But really, first year and second year students kind of look quite the same really. Jonathan smiled at the girl and shook his head "This would be the first time I went to a Hogwarts party" he said. But Jonathan has a been to a lot of parties, not like this though.

At least now, he was talking to someone. He didn't look like a weirdo standing on the sides and not dancing like the other students.

Speaking of which, Jonathan was looking at the little Slytherin. Did Jonathan grew taller by the summer? He used to be that tall before. He wanted to ask the little Slytherin if she was a first year when out of nowhere someone grabbed him...

Now Jonathan was panicking. He shook his head. "I-i can't dance" he said to her. Well, he could think of million reasons not to dance. Plus, Jonathan's too shy to dance with 2 seventh years.

He can see Cassie from the dance floor. Oh yeah, his partner at the dance class. So she can really dance. At least Jonathan made the right decision to be partners with her. His toes felt safe.

"Really? Was this party first held by school? The deathday of Nearly Headless Nick. Maybe there will be another death day for Bloody Baron or another ghost." said her to the boy. Oh, she didn't know him before althought Raven often saw him at coomon room.

"By the way, Nice to see you. I'm Raven Charlotte, first year." introduced her.

We celebrate their death, as, of course, they can't have a birthday! And we have to show our appreciation!' Rose smiled.

Rawr Rawr cassie hadn't had this much fun since that visit to Prague..but this..this was verging on epic. She loved hanging out with Marilyn, there was just never a dull moment with her. Though she hadn't known the girl long, she really cared for her and didn't want to see her hurt.

Cassie looked up though when Marilyn asked someone to join them. Ohh it was Jonathon from dance class. The boy was really good at dancing so she didn't mind. Besides it wasn't like they were dancing dancing.

"Nonsense Jon..I KNOW you can dance. I danced with you remember?"

Oh there was an even younger person wanting to join them but Cassie didn't mind. Why weren't more people dancing anyways.

Oooh. She was smirking. "You don't? Me neither!" He exclaimed as if it was the biggest revelation of the year. "But you know what?" He said, shooting a sneaky glance around. "I want to but I'm not a monkey." He hissed after leaning a little closer to her ear. "Some people my might say otherwise but don't believe them, I'm very much human." He stared at her for second before cracking a grin. "All I'm saying is, do you want to grab something to bite?" See? Talking normal wasn't that difficult although, what he just said still sounded like something he could possibly turn into a joke about vampires. Hmm.
