Kimber is quiet but not shy. She will not be bothered with asinine tasks or questions. Her time is precious. It will do you well to remember that.

History:

Kimber's parents were rich, pureblood, elitist. Their arranged marriage was one of convenience; they were joined together simply to gain social standing. Although Victoria and Luciano did not love each other, they were pressured early on to have a child.

They celebrated Kimber Lyn's arrival, presenting her to the world as if she were royalty. To them, their beautiful, new daughter would serve as a reflection of their perfect union. She spent most of her childhood abroad; her parents dragging her to any social engagement that served their purpose. All too soon, the joys of motherhood wore off and Victoria found herself resenting her daughter for her loss of freedom. She quickly employed Britta Shaw as Kimber's nanny.

As school time drew near, the Marcellini's hurried around in preparation for the joyous occasion. Positive that their perfect daughter would follow in their Slytherin footsteps, they boasted loudly to all who would listen. Needless to say, they were filled with disgust and profound disapproval when Kimber found herself sorted into Gryffindor. They were ashamed. They blamed Ms. Shaw for her influence and immediately banished her from their home. Kimber, feeling like the orphan she was, attended Hogwarts a very angry girl. Unsure of where she belonged, she isolated herself from others, splitting her time between the potion’s laboratory and the library, pouring over textbooks, determined to learn all that she could in order to redeem herself as worthy. Needless to say, after all the constant studying, Kimber went on to excel in all of her classes.

In the spring of her seventh year, Kimber's parents presented her with, what they considered, 'happy news'. A husband had been found and a wedding was to take place immediately following graduation. Naturally, Kimber panicked. She had seen enough of her parents' marriage to know that love did NOT exist and wanted no part of that life for herself. In an effort to delay the marriage, Kimber proposed furthering her education. Her parents reluctantly agreed, sending her to Cambridge University, where she double-majored in English Literature and Library Science.

During her second year at Cambridge, Kimber met a muggle, bookshop owner named Thomas. Thomas was a humble man. He was never judgmental or unkind (qualities her parents knew nothing about, nor cared for) and she soon found herself visiting his bookstore on a daily basis. The attraction she felt towards was him was almost immediate. They were honest with each other from the start. She learned that he was an orphan (she could relate) and she told him that she was a witch. Six months later, they were engaged.

When her parents found out about the upcoming nuptials, they were enraged. They threatened to disown her; to cut her off completely and refused to pay for her education. As far as Kimber was concerned, marrying Thomas was the easiest decision of her young life.

Having no families to speak of, the only person in attendance at their small wedding ceremony was Ms. Shaw.

Thomas kept Kimber in school, working odd jobs here and there for the extra money. Those early years were hard but neither of them ever complained. They were in love and for the first time in her life, Kimber felt free of her parents' constant scrutiny.

After graduation, she worked alongside her husband at the bookshop. Life was good... but wouldn't be for long. On the night of their 5th anniversary, Thomas was killed in a tragic accident. Heartbroken, Kimber threw herself into running the store until she received an owl from her parents. It seemed Ms. Shaw's health was failing. Refusing to let Britta die alone, Kimber packed her things, sold the bookstore and searched for a job closer to home. When she heard of the Librarian position at Hogwarts, she knew it was her calling.

Personality: Chad is a glass half full kind of man. He believes in always being optimistic and if anything gets in his way, then he just becomes that much more determined to get it. He’s very outgoing, loves to meet new people, and absolutely loves having fun. Also, he tends to be very relaxed in any situation and isn’t afraid of a challenge. It usually takes a very epic occurrence in order to anger Chad in anyway. Lastly, he’s always got the time to accommodate others, no matter how full his schedule may be.

Background/History: Chad is the only son of a muggle mother and pureblood father. Both of his parents were born in England, but they moved to France for business reasons. Chad was born and raised in France. When he turned nine, they moved back to England and Chad had to learn English. They found that he, to this day still, has some trouble learning and speaking English, but isn’t too bad.

Despite his language handicap, Chad managed to get through Hogwarts with excellent grades, excelling in Care of Magical Creatures. He absolutely loved being around and working with animals.

After graduation, he went back to France and got a job with the French Ministry in their creatures department. He worked there for six years before moving back to England. He then moved back to England and worked in various pet shops for at least five years before he obtained another job at the England Ministry as a Liaison for, at that time, Minister Cooper. He held that position for seven years before being promoted by Minister Reagan Taylor to Department Head of Magical Creatures. For reasons unknown, he abandoned that job a few years later and went back to France.

It was only when he heard that Hogwarts needed a new Groundskeeper that he, once again, returned to England to take up the position.

Kurumi was born to a muggle mother and a pure-blood father, making her half and half. Her mother, Yukie Someya, is Japanese and her father, Charles Hollingberry, is British. Her parents met when her father was on a research and ambassador mission for the Ministry to meet with representatives of the Japanese Ministry. He met Yukie while sightseeing, and kept the fact that he was a wizard from her until he had to return to England for a short period of time. He eventually transferred to Japan and married Yukie who bore him 4 children: Ryunosuke, Takashi, Junichiro, and Kurumi. Kurumi, being the youngest and the only girl, grew up doing everything her brothers did including intensive kendo training as her mother’s family owns a dojo. Because her family lived in a small town with very few non-Japanese, Kurumi and her brothers were always severely bullied for being “half breeds” – meaning only having half Japanese blood. It is due to these unfortunate circumstances that her parents decided to keep their magical abilities a secret until an owl arrived from Hogwarts. Kurumi, who took the most severe bullying, was told her siblings had to study abroad in England and that they would explain why to her when she was older. It was not until she received her first letter not two weeks before the start of the term did she know that an entirely different world awaited her.

Kurumi spent a good portion of her first year studying and studying and studying to catch up with everyone. She got full marks on all her exams and was the top point receiver for her house and the school with 619 points. On a social front, Kurumi made many friends and there was much drama between her best friend and now current boyfriend, Adam Burn, and Slytherin, Katie Star.

During her second term, Kurumi spent hours in the library with newfound Ravenclaw friend, Eino. Kurumi and Adam's relationship continued to blossom, until Adam's parents made the decision to pull him from Hogwarts and move to Mexico at the end of the term. This terrible news, along with discovering that her father isn't who he says he is, AND the appearance of Mr Ikenna, Kurumi's confidence and mind went into overload. She was invited to Lord Borr's party in Diagon Alley where he took a liking to her because of her cookies. She was once again the top point earner in Gryffindor house as well as the entire school (761 points), but none of that seemed to matter as her and Adam ended their relationship knowing that they may never see one another again.

Facing her third year with a hole in her heart that she thought would never be filled - a hole made from the absence of Adam - Kurumi returned to Hogwarts with a sense of uncertainty. She continued her research in the library about her family, and these sessions brought her closer to Treyen Lockhart. Kurumi's feelings for the Hufflepuff grew and she eventually confessed to him, but not before she found an Aparecium article surfaced revealing that Treyen was already in a 'sort of' relationship with someone else. While the two were giving each other some space, a Polyjuice assignment where Sierra and Kurumi were partners took a turn for the worse and ended in Treyen never wanting to see Kurumi again - although the one who made him feel that way was Sierra Polyjuiced as Kurumi. Despite all the emotions floating around, she still managed to earn 760 points for Gryffindor and, as the top point getter in her house, was offered a special tour of the Ministry by Lord Borr.

Personality:

August has always been a down to earth kind of kid. He grew up in a home centered on rules and manners. He was taught at a young age that you are to respect your elders, your peers and yourself; you must work hard to achieve your dreams, and to never give up hope for a great future. August is a hard worker in school and is willing to try new things and activities when the opportunity presents itself. He is a kind and caring boy with a big heart, a bit shy at first, but willing to listen and get to know you if you let him.

History:

Augusts’ mother and father met when they were young at a Jewish Seminary school for the youth in Manchester, England. After growing up and receiving the blessing from each set of parents, they married and then moved in to a small flat just a few blocks from their childhood homes. Ezekiel used his college degree to get a teaching position at the school he and his wife attended, and was the new Math professor. His wife, Sarah, got a job as a saleswoman at a local woman’s clothing store.

Shortly after starting their new life together, the couple was blessed with a baby boy whom they named August David Goldstein. This curly haired tot had a normal enough childhood. He learned to crawl and then walk rather early but his father said it was because he was going to be a smart teacher like his dad one day. One day his mother received a call at work from August’s daycare informing her that somehow he had gotten out of the gate and they had found him on the top shelf of the bookshelf in the other room.

Years went by without another strange incident. The family added a new member, Sylvia Goldstein was born when August was 6 and they got along wonderfully. Everything had been going quite normally for a young family at the time but it wasn’t until August was 10 and enrolled in his father’s school, Manchester’s School of Abraham, that another occurrence had raised the eyebrows of his parents. August was always a quiet boy and was rather shy at times, only really hanging out with his one good friend Peter. Throughout his years at the school a boy named Arthur Hemmingway had constantly mocked the boys, chased them home on their bikes and called them mean names. Well one day, when August was 10 and was walking on his way home with Peter, Arthur came up on them and stole Peter’s bike. August yelled at him to get off but he wouldn’t and then suddenly, all of the bully’s hair fell out…as if my magic.

Later that year, after summer was coming to a close, the Goldstein family received a strange letter in the mail from a faraway school requesting that their son attend. His father would have nothing to say about it, he was to be kept in his school where he would learn and excel for his future. August was not upset; he hadn’t really heard anything about the school anyways, even after some internet research. So he continued on for two more years at his Muggle School when he received another letter in the mail requesting his attendance at the ‘Legendary School’ called Hogwarts and that he was a wizard. The Headmaster seemed to think that this was a necessary thing to let them know this time in a special letter that was addressed to ‘Muggleborn witches and wizards and their parents’.

So he was a wizard, headed off to a new school, not knowing anyone….what now?

Background:

Adam comes from a completely muggle family, the first of his family to have any magical abilities. Adam's parents (Diane and Riley Fitzgerald) are both well-known relators from the states. Due to their profession the family moved a lot, causing Adam to attend a couple of magic schools throughout the states. Adam is an only child, and due to his parents busy and hectic schedules Adam spent most of his childhood fending for himself.

Due to his parents' strict mentality on everything, as well as their need to remain in the status quo, Adam has kept his wizard status to himself, telling his parents that he is attending a prestigious all boys academy. Since his parents are busy with their jobs, they don't go prying, but Adam knows once he is done with the "muggle schooling" he is telling them that he is attending, they will be expecting him to attend a prestigious university like Harvard or Yale. Adam figures when that time comes he will most likely have to tell his parents the truth, and will probably be kicked out of his home. Therefore, Adam is doing everything he can now to set himself up for a somewhat stable place of his own that he can live once he graduates from Hogwarts.

Personality

Adam is quiet, lacking an outgoing personality which probably comes from him being a loner most of his life. His tall and muscular build combined with somewhat scruffy features makes Adam seem intimidating at first glance, but once you get to know him you'll see he's actually a really nice guy. Adam is rubbish when it comes to girls, having attended an all boys magic school for the longest period of time, but he's hoping that that will change. Since Adam usually spends more time observing people, he's gotten quite good at reading them and their emotions.

Rafe's parents are Raoul and Rachel Lycoan. His father had a bad reputation and was a prominent leader of one of the largest werewolf clans of Romania, if not all of Europe. He typically rebelled against his true nature and even took a common witch for a bride. They were forbidden to ever have a child, for it was highly frowned upon their people for it wouldn't be a "pureblood" werewolf. Their kind were free to bite children and adopt them as their own, but never conceive a child if they were not both werewolves.

As time went on Raoul became more and more thirsty for power, biting whoever he wished to build an army to take over all the werewolf clans in Romania (and now moving into Vampire territory). This was tearing Rachel apart, for she dearly loved her husband, but didn't agree with his actions.

However, sometime during Raoul's thirst for power, Rachel had conceived a child and was terrified of telling Raoul. She knew this child would be killed the moment it was born, if not before. Rachel tried to conceal this secret as long as possible, but a child's heartbeat can be heard with the werewolf's heightened senses, so her secret was soon revealed. Raoul was furious and many of his inner circle demanded she should be killed. But, Raoul still dearly loved his wife and tricked his inner circle that he killed her and his child, while secretly helping her to escape, making Rachel promise never to return or acknowledge Raoul as her husband. Rachel left heartbroken and eventually did escape, but before she left Romania for good, she went into labor.

Rachel gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and named him Rafe after Raoul's grandfather. It was a difficult labor and she almost gave up her will to survive until she saw her beautiful son who had Raoul's sparkling green eyes. She thought she could never love again until she saw this child, but at the same time her son, reminded her of everything she had to leave behind.

Rafe had a difficult childhood. Every month he would go through his spells of being furious and torn and sometimes violent. Though he never would completely change into a werewolf, he did have some werewolf-like tendencies, like only eating raw meat, being moodier once a month, which included sharp pains, overreacting, and his eyes would change beaded black, but other than that he looked quite normal (well, minus the facial hair, but he says its a growth hormone spell gone wrong).

His mother loves him unconditionally though she hardly ever shows it. She raised him herself, teaching him spells and about different cultures all over Europe. For eleven years, they traveled and never settled down, until Rachel decided it was time for him to attend a wizarding school. Though she favored Durmstrang, she decided that it would be best for him to attend Hogwarts and they finally settled in England. Two summer's ago he went to find his father with his friend Kat. Rafe succeeded and faced the possibility of execution, but his father had him spared. Raoul insisted for him to be trained like his army of werewolves, where he learned new spells and became more physically fit, even though his father won't transform him into a werewolf himself. Rafe continues to secretly keep in contact with his father without his mother's knowledge.

At Hogwarts, Rafe made many new friends and became a passionate Quidditch fanatic. He would do anything for his friends. During his third term, Rafe fell in love with Marilyn Force and truly believes she is the love of his life, even at a young age. He loves her unconditionally and sometimes finds himself overly protective of her.

His mother eventually remarried, to lawyer and muggleborn Dustin Parker and gave birth to a baby girl, Aurelia Parker. He was so used to being an only child and didn't take well to the idea of having a little sister. But, as time went on he found he loved her even though she was only his half sister and was constantly called a "normal" child, given that she has no lycan blood in her veins. But, life for him in England was hard and he liked being with his fellow lycan brothers. One evening, while his mother was tidying up the house, she discovered letters written between Rafe and his father. She was ashamed and kicked him out of the house and asked him never to return. This really hurt Rafe because as much as he and his mum never agreed on things over time, he never thought she would banish him. Rafe had nowhere else to go, but to his father. There he continued his training and was enrolled at Durmstrang, which would have been his 4th term at Hogwarts. Rafe didn't care for the school, it was too gloomy, lacked focus and the classes were centered around the Dark Arts. But, adjusting to a school would be the least of Rafe's problems.

That summer he discovered that he wasn't the only descendent of his father's. One of Raoul's adventures out in the muggle world led to concieving another child. And that child, Derian Grimme Lycaon showed up on their doorstep in Romania. Rafe is unsure how he feels about his 11-year-old brother. He never thought of his father ever loving or being with another woman other than his mom. And though Rafe never thought himself as being prejudice and at the same time has pride in his pureblood heritege, he's even more shocked that his brother's mum is a muggle. Rafe found out that his new brother was living in England and was accepted at Hogwarts. At the word "Hogwarts" Rafe had an overwhelming urge to go and secretly begged his father to allow him to return. His father permitted him to go with a little stipend to live on his own in England. Rafe was also curious about his new found brother. He didn't really like the little bloke, but he knew Derian would probably go through some of the same changes he had to deal with being half-werewolf, but unlike Rafe he would have someone to talk to and know what he was going through. Rafe's brother, Derian only made it through one year of Hogwarts before going back to his mother to a different school. Rafe's influence was a little too strong for her taste and she didn't like the idea of her son turning into Raoul.

Three years ago, his girlfriend, Marilyn Force got kidnapped by her father. Rafe made some arrangements, eventually leaving Hogwarts himself to go in search of her. He gathered some of the best lycans to work for him and worked out a secret mission to help rescue her. They succeeded, but Rafe and Marilyn's happy reunion was cut short when he kept secret that he was her knight in shining armor. He kept it a secret to further protect her because his mission was still not complete. Her father, Benjamin, had escaped and that meant Marilyn's safety was still in jeopardy. She broke up with him leaving him heartbroken for their sixth year at Hogwarts. He even gave her an engagement ring, unknown to her, because it is in a wooden box that won't open until she knows that Rafe is the only guy for her.

The following summer Rafe teamed up with her brother Jasper, to handle Benjamin once and for all. Meanwhile, Marilyn spent the summer with Rafe's best mate, Carter's muggle family, all arranged by Rafe. Entering his seventh year, he has guaranteed Marilyn's safety once and for all and wants nothing more than to get back together with her. But, now it appears Marilyn and Carter is a couple and Rafe can't bring himself to hurt either one of them again. Rafe only wants her to be happy, but does that mean he will never be happy himself?

Rafe is usually very outgoing and charming. He's a bit old-fashioned thanks to his mom and definitely believes in the old ways of chivalry. He does have a temper at time, but usually only when provoked (or when the moon is full). He is very independent and usually does things himself, but when the occasion calls he will ask for the help from his friends. He is always up for an adventure and willing to try new things or even event new ways of entertainment. Rafe likes to get in a bit of mischief from time to time, but tries not to ever get caught.

The years of abuse suffered at the hands of the Kennedy’s have given Lexi a number of insecurities but she cannot seem to write them off the way she should do. Despite their poor treatment of her she loves them unconditionally and would do anything for them. All in all, she is a scared, hurt little girl. Suffering loss after loss and hard time after hard time, she has become something of a cynic at such an early age.

Her need for attention stems from their not giving her any at all. Her relationships often fail because she is too needy for the other person. Turns out she has some issues that can’t be resolved by giving a good cry and being told it will all be okay.

Okay. Where to start?

Lexi's family loathed everything about her being so... GOOD. All except for Dora, her aunt. The years spent with her mother and father and that NASTY house elf were arguably the worst she has faced thus far. Andraste and Alexander made it a point to let her know how great a disappointment she was at every turn. She spent most of her time there locked away in her room.

After her second year... the TERRIBLE incident she was involved in... she was more than a little broken. To top things off, her aunt passed during childbirth soon thereafter. Initially she went to live with her Uncle Silas and the twins. Her broken state was, understandably, too much for Silas to handle in the midst of his grief and the stress of two new babies. He did what was best for her at that time and had her sent to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies. She spent the vast majority of her third year in the care of the lovely healers there. Once released her mother and father were less than condusive to her recovery so she was removed from their home and sent to foster care.

Luckily for her, she had made a few friends. Dylan Denver's family agreed to adopt her since she and Dylan had become so close after their terrible experience. The only downside? Lexi still has issues with family. Whether it was the Kennedy's or now the Denver's. She never feels quite like she belongs there. It is too awkward for her. The Denver's have this happy little unit that she only can look at and long to be a part of. She will never fit that mold.

Recently her mother was abducted (she does not know this) and her father and Andraste's parents have no idea where she is or what is going on... in their haste to protect Lexi they have fallen off of the face of the earth, basically. This has crushed the girl. No way of knowing where they are is freaking her out. She is trying to cope as best she can...

She finally got word that her mother was abducted... and released after a year in captivity. She still has yet to hear a word from anyone in the Kennedy family and she has no clue what the state of her mother is.

After waiting... and waiting and still no word from her "family" she decided the best course of action was to cut all ties with the Kennedy's. For all intents and purposes the Denver's are the only family she has now.

Which has since changed once more. SIGHS FOR LIFE! Lexi has no family to speak of and prefers it that way. Lexi's birth family all perished in a tragic house fire... She lives happily in France and is thinking about her future now.

Background
Thomas was born to, and raised in Brixton, London, by his muggle parents, Helen and Anthony Broadmoor. He is the third and last-born child into the Broadmoor family. Although the lad is loved by his parents, his arrival into the world was both unexpected and unwanted by the couple. The family whom live in a small claustrophobic two 'and a half' bedroomed council flat already felt the strain of having four mouths to feed. An additional child would prove to be a real struggle for them.

Tom's childhood was rather deprived, but unlike his older brother, he managed to keep his head down and out of trouble most of the time, and all credit to the lad given the influences and peer pressures around him. The worst he has done is nicked some sweets from the local newsagent, disappeared without telling his ma, and played truant from school. And he had his reasons for the latter: his discontent and rubbish attention span could all be pinpointed to Dyslexia.. if anyone cared enough to look that is. In any case, the state school he attended didn't have the resources nor the money to provide him with the extra help he needed. He refused to go because he was bored and he was learning nothing, so what was the point?

His family is close and loving but he does have a little turmoil in his life. Nothing too dramatic, but the usual of being the last-born child in a family struggling to make ends meet. He often feels ignored, and feels like he is nothing special in comparison to his eldest brother who has an IQ just below Mensa standard and a sister who is the only girl in the family. When his brother and sister went off to Hogwarts, it only intensified his feelings of inferiority.

He is, needless to say, muggleborn, and like his older brother and sister, he was slow to show signs of magic. His first encounters were of the spectacular and explosive (literally!) kind and stemmed from frustration. Unable to articulate himself properly after getting a scolding from his mother, he blew up the television set in the living room in a fit of rage. He received his letter by owl and an invite to Hogwarts shortly after. The boy was delighted.

Personality
He's a bit of a lone wolf is young Thomas. He's extremely independent for a thirteen year old, but struggles to find people to relate to. His exterior is rough looking and this, together with his thick accent tends to alienate him from others. On first meetings with Tom, he can seem brash, loud, and even a little obnoxious.

He can be a little hard to handle if he disagrees with something, or feels he is being treated unfairly. He doesn't like being told what to do, and he'll let you know loud and clear if he's unhappy about something. He finds it difficult to hold back his temper and woe betide anyone on the receiving end! He is blunt and can be very coarse.

But peel back the layers, and Thomas is a genuinely loving and caring boy. He may be slow to trust, but if he does trust you, he is a great friend to have around. Loyal and brave, he'll stick up for you in a heartbeat without worrying about the consequences to himself.

Despite his brash and rough persona (which is really the result of being uneducated and having a limited vocabulary), Tom is quite a vulnerable person. He lacks confidence in himself and feels he is unworthy and below everyone around him. If he is let down by a friend, he tends to get hurt deeply and finds it very hard to forgive.

Tom bears a strong resemblance to his older brother, although his features are not quite so symmetrical and striking. His dark hair is very shortly cropped and his skin is lightly tanned with a sprinkling of freckles on his nose. His posture is appalling: slouched, shoulders hunched and his hands are usually in his pockets.

Family background

Ariadne is the daughter of Ava Marchbanks, from a Pureblood family, owner of a small bookshop in the small town where they both live, and a Muggle, Lloyd Gallagher, now a prominent politician in Muggle Britain. Ari's father had left her mother whilst the woman was pregnant, when she confessed she was a witch, and never returned, unable to deal with the fact. Ariadne never got the chance to meet her father, but she still hopes that would be possible one day. Ava Marchbanks decided to give Ariadne her surname rather than Lloyd's, given the man’s lack of involvement in the family.

Ava's younger brother Tristan served as a father-figure for Ariadne, becoming her favourite uncle. Ari also has a close relationship with her maternal grandparents, Ambrosius Marchbanks and Calliope Marchbanks (nee Goldstein). Both the Marchbanks and Goldstein families have been in Ravenclaw for generations, until Ariadne went to Hogwarts. One of the girl's great-grandmothers was Griselda Marchbanks, Ravenclaw Prefect and then Head Girl in school, Governor of the Wizarding Examinations Authority and member of the Wizengamot, who tested Harry Potter in his Divination O.W.L practical.


Personality

What is most noticeable about Ariadne is her intelligence and her inquisitiveness. Her biggest fear is failure; she is very ambitious and a perfectionist. Ari also has a spirit for justice, but that doesn't stop her from mischief every now and then. Besides determination, the girl has also got lots of courage and is independent.

Ariadne doesn't strike you as a very friendly person, but she is likeable and compassionate. Sometimes sarcastic, but rarely truly funny, she appreciates people who make her laugh. The girl likes company, but isn't bothered by solitude either. As an only child raised by a rather busy single parent, she learned to do many things on her own. However, she is very loyal to her friends and would do anything for them.

Ariadne loves reading and is very passionate about history, both magical and Muggle. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and swimming. She can sometimes be quite a chatterbox, especially when she's nervous. On the outside at least, she always seems very calm and composed. Outbursts of either joy or fury are very rare in her case.

First year at Hogwarts

While Ari’s first year at Hogwarts has been eventful and interesting, probably the best thing to come out of it was that the girl had made lots of friends, despite being only remotely sociable to begin with. This, in turn, made her more communicative and less secretive; she even got used to telling people about her family drama, a taboo-subject until that year.

The girl had shown independence in thinking from the very start: at the Sorting ceremony, she convinced the Sorting Hat, which was hesitating between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, to sort her into the latter, because she wanted to be different from her family, who have been in Ravenclaw for generations.

She did reasonably well in classes, except for Astronomy, which confuses her, and Flying, because she doesn’t trust any object to keep her up in the air, regardless of how many charms and spells have been used on it, which came as a surprise, given that Ari’s mother had been Quidditch captain in her days at Hogwarts. But for Ariadne this wasn’t enough. As a perfectionist, she took it as a personal defeat that Gryffindor had been beaten by Slytherin in the competition for the House Cup, along with the deception of not making it to the Top 5 Gryffindor students.

During her first year, the girl figured out what she would like to do in life: become a wandmaker. Though it seems premature to think of a career, Ari had always been one to keep to the same ideas for a long time, and she started to plan ahead in order to achieve her goal.

Ariadne had also done some research on her family tree and discovered new information, including the shocking truth that marriages in her family had been arranged in most cases, and usually between fellow Ravenclaws, up until her grandparents’ generation. Also, the girl had developed a strong desire to meet her father and question him about his motives. This coincided with the news that her mother was dating again, after so many years. Ari was happy for her for finally having a boyfriend, but at the same time wondered what it would be to have her dad around.

Ari’s favourite part of her first year at Hogwarts was the Potions final, where she got to use the Polyjuice Potion and step into her friend Jory’s shoes for an hour, literally. She also enjoyed star-gazing in the Astronomy Tower with her friend Melina, teasing Mordred about Hug a Slytherin Day ,her adventures with Gwendolyn, and chatting with many other students.

HISTORY
Emily led a very average life in middle-class, surburban London. Obviously, she showed traits at an early age that she was magical, but her parents were quite relaxed about it since their older son, Frankie, had also become a wizard.

She was a bright student at muggle primary school, but often got into trouble for blowing things up, or for strange occurences that could not be explained (magic, obviously). For this reason, there were times when she felt singled out and disliked by the teachers. Her parents were incredibly supportive, however, so she was not too badly affected.

Her brother was badly bullied at Hogwarts for being muggleborn. So he warned her to ignore these kinds of insults, but has worried since the Summer about her ability to fit in. Emily is not so concerned, however, and is just excited to be around her own kind, finally.

During school, Emily got on well with her classmates and enjoyed horse riding and swimming.

PERSONALITY
Emily is incredibly chatty and not very aware of her surroundings, which often gets her in trouble. She often acts before she thinks, but always means well. She will chat to anyone, and is fiercely loyal. Sometimes she talks too much, and does not catch on to hints. That said, she won't take it personally if someone tells her to shut up. Her attitude is very positive, and she always tries her best. She can get carried away sometimes, however, and is easily influenced, so needs to be careful that she doesn't fall in with the wrong crowd.

Personality

Tomboy. One of the many words to describe Brookie, but of course not the only. For as long as she could remember, she’s loved sports. She’s loved pretty much any kind, whether it involves kicking hitting, bumping, throwing or anything really. The only sport she has yet to try is quidditch. But that’s not exactly her fault. Her father thinks it’s too dangerous of a sport for his little Brookie. But she doesn’t care. First chance she gets, she’s picking up a broom.

Despite being a tomboy, Brooklyn has been known to have her girly moments. She can definitely blend in well with other girls when she wants to. She tends to dress rather fashionably when she doesn’t have a game, or when she’s inside or even when she goes out shopping with her mother or father. And sometimes, against her mothers warnings, she plays in her dresses, and nicest clothes. What happens to them? They get ruined. But she doesn’t care. It’s not her fault she attracts stains and dirt like a light attracts moths. Not only can she dress like them, but she’s known to have little outbursts, and rambles whenever she’s had too much sugar.

She’s not much of a flirter because she feels like boys will only distract her from her game and Brooklyn does not like losing. She strives to win every game or sport she plays even though she doesn’t always. And when she loses, she can be a bit of a sore loser, which probably doesn’t make other people enjoy playing with her.

History

On May 9th of 2060, Brooklyn was born to Rianne and Maxim Petrov. As a child she was showered with gifts and presents and basically whatever the young girl’s heart desired. She was a happy baby, most often found playing with anything she could get her little hands on. Soon after the girl was born, a baby sister came into the picture by the name of Minnie. Close friends from the start, the two girls were just about best friends despite how different they were from each other. Brooke tended to be more of a tomboy while her younger sister tended to be more girly and a bit more of a princess than her sister.

As she grew, she began begging for more boyish toys and her parents of course gave in, but were a bit more reluctant about each purchase. But they shrugged it off, feeling that it wasn’t all that important and that their little tomboy was only going through a phase and would eventually become the young lady they hoped they would receive. Were they that lucky? Of course not. Little Brookie is only lady like in appearance thanks to her mother but she’s quite far from that rich girl, snotty personality that you’d probably imagine at first glance.

A few years later, when Brooklyn turned six, tragedy stuck. At least in her eyes it was a tragedy. She was with her parents and Minnie at a local muggle amusement park for the day when her parents bought her soft pretzel. Being young and naïve, she decided to share her pretzel with the animals around. Most of them being the local birds and the ones in aviary. She munched along, dropping little pieces in front of her for the birds, watching them as the swarmed and fought for the little pieces they were allowed. Soon, the birds became anxious and daring. The larger ones, flying above little Brooke in the enclosed room would swoop down, running their claws through her hair, hoping she’d drop more. They grew more daring even as they’d swoop down and strike her little arms with their claws and beaks, leaving little marks, and often opening a wound. Quickly they all started swarming her at the same time. The young girl dropped the pretzel and shrieked for her father, running towards him as the pecked at her some more, trying to find more food. From then on, she was scarred for life. Refusing to go to the zoo, the circus and anywhere where she knew birds would be in large numbers and in enclosed spaces.

That was one of the many reasons why she wasn’t keen on going to Hogwarts for her first four years. She was too afraid of being in an enclosed space with owls flying around above. Well that, and owls were huge, SCARY birds. She hates talking about her fear because she thinks it's stupid to be afraid of birds, even though she can't help it. But now, with a kitty for protection, she’s ready to start Hogwarts and keep FAAAAR away from those birds.

Charles was born three minutes before his twin sister Cheryl on a cheerful April morning. His family is of the old-fashioned type, hence his mother named him and his twin sister names that sound alike. Priding themselves in their superiority due to his fathers’ work as a senior healer at St.Mungos and their rare pure blood status, his family haven’t left their old ways of going about things. His mother, a house wife and a collector of famous wizarding painting master pieces, always reminds her children of how they are expected to behave, and insists that on special occasions like Christmas, the whole family has to wear dress robes, even though they spend every Christmas at their London home. Charles doesn’t mind any of this, as long as his parents let him have his own way, and they do, most of the time. His father is a great believer of self-esteemed freedom and since he himself has been born and raised that way, is treating his children to the same way of living.

Charles childhood has been an ordinary one, or as ordinary as can be. With a mother like his, the family has been obliged to do some of the weirdest things ever, all in favor of staying in class. Him and his twin sister, Cheryl, have been able to go about things their own way for most of their childhood, and that’s how they came about learning different things about life. He always liked roaming around their neighborhood when he was young, and that led to some of the greatest experiences of his life. He doesn't like family gatherings, but has been bullied into attending by his mother and he always admired the way that Cheryl dealt with their mothers' maniacal behaviour by keeping a cool head and doing as their mother wants, until she looked the other way that is.
