Cassie watched Marilyn's features and good very well see that all she was saying to the girl was going in one way and coming out the next. Should she slap her? Maybe she could literally slap the sense back into her and the confidence too..because..this..person, in front of Cassie right now was definitely not Marilyn. She would not have it..she was not going to lose her friend like this. She decided on shaking her instead.
Right she held her shoulder and shook her a little. Wake up confidence!!!!
"Yes Mar and I'm all for caring and everything but I'm not into the weak sauce mopey I'm not good enough business." She snapped her finger in front of Marilyn's face."Snap out of it girly, like I said, you're too gorgeous for this"
Cassie's face lit up for a second." Oh James is good, he's travelling and sent me the most amazing gift ever." She would show Marilyn later. It was too romantic."But yes everything is good..I just miss him." Moving on..She took Marilyn's hand and dragged her to the middle of the floor.
Wow...
Cassie was not going to let her feel bad about herself, obviously. Sighing, she allowed herself to be pulled into the middle of the floor, deciding just to join in with this craziness.
It immediately became too funny...The music was of a classic, medieval style and she and Cassie was breaking it down.
"You know...we're not really dancing the right way..."
It didn't matter, though. This was what she needed. A distraction. Cassie knew that and was acting silly right along with her. In Marilyn's six previous years at the magical school, she'd never had a friend like her Hufflepuff.
