As you enter the Hogwarts library, what appears to be a cozy nook in one corner of the main area appears most appealing to the Hogwarts student interested in his or her reading. Upon further inspection, you see that this comfy area is larger than it had seemed on first sight. Spread throughout the room are clusters of armchairs, surrounding magical reading lamps giving off different levels of light, all of which are appropriate for reading. These clusters are perfect for study groups or group projects.
Here and there are a few lone armchairs for the student who enjoys quiet solitary reading, and a number of sofas for any that would rather stretch out and put their feet up. Be sure not to muddy them up though!
A soft glow of light is present throughout the room, with more magical lamps in each possible reading space. Be sure not to make much noise and respect some students' wishes to read in quiet.
One last note, no food or drink in the reading lounge.

Narrowing his eyes at the pink cover, Josh immediately walked away from him happily coming across one with decent book cover colours. It was dark brown with a white unicorn's head pic on it and no titles as he could he. Huh. Weird. But it looked like a good book anyway. Putting it safely under his arm, the lion boy made his way to the Reading Loudge where he had never visited before. The seats looked comfortable though and...
Aha!! Evelyn was there....reading stuff. Nice. Maybe she could tell him if this book was good enough.
''Hey...'' he said cheerfully approaching the Slytherin girl and waving the book at her yet he stopped and his smile vanished when his dark brown eyes spotted the shining THING on her that said:

NO. That was fake, right? But why would Evelyn wear a stupid fake badge? She would not do such a thing. Then it must be him imagining things. But he would never imagine THAT. Then...
Life must have been kidding him.

Turning the page of the book, she leaned back against her seat, one finger tapping quietly in random beats on the side of the book while she lightly chewed on her lip. Reading something about Kelpies, she raised a brow at the mention of placement charms. Hmm, she'd have to look that up a little later.
Taking a deep breath, she was just about to turn the page again when the voice reached her ears. Hmmm?
Looking up, her eyes widened a little when she saw Josh standing there, but that wasn't what bugged her. No. It was that his smile suddenly vanished. Was he surprised to see it was her or something? Did he think she was meeting another boy here? Even though the last time she just ran into Riley and wasn't planning on meeting him...
"Hey." she replied back, nonchalantly lifting the book she was reading up so it leaned against her, almost completely covering the badge. The badge hadn't even crossed her mind. She was more worried that Josh thought she was meeting someone else here. "How...are you? I saw you at the tryouts. You looked pretty good as a seeker."
Jez blushed, secretly pleased at the compliment. "My older brother Keegan taught me a few spells. Well, not really taught me, just told me in incantations and showed me how they work. He's eighteen, and he's the nicest of all my siblings - I have six, and they're all pains. Only two are at Hogwarts right now, thank Merlin. Do you have any siblings here?"
Making friends, everywhere you go, just making friends.
"That's cool," Sarah said wistfully, "I only have one brother, not only is he not magical, he also would never do anything to help me. If he knew magic he would've withheld information just so he could laugh when I mess up."

Instead of concentrating on her irritating brother, she focused on the feather again. "Wingardium Leviosa!"
Due to the intensity of the emotion she was feeling, the feather immediately flew up and hit the ceiling of the library. Sarah glared at the feather, imagining it was her brother. She loved him, because she was related, but she also hated him. Slowly she relaxed and the feather floated down.

That could not be read. Because if it was real then it brought many other things with itself and none of them was any pleasant idea to the boy. Girlfriend hiding things. Girlfriend lying about things. Girlfriend lying about not lying and...so it went on.
As the negative thoughts became more intense, his grip on the unicorn book was loosened so it looked like it was about to slip out his fingers. He was not really aware of it though. He could only stare...now also trying to figure out if what he had seen was the reality since now the book was hiding it. ''I am...''

Keeping his silence Josh took a step closer to her and sighed realising the book was about to fall off his hand so he passed it to his other hand yet while doing so it kinda of looking like he had no idea what he was doing for the book definitely now had no place in his mind. That was just a momentary thing...realising it that i was about to fall on the floor.
Though it might looked like he was angry, lies actually made him feel upset more than angry...when they were from her.
''I want to see it again.'' he said determinedly, taking another step towards her. And that 'again' there was to emphasize the fact the had already seen it and now just wanted to make sure it was the truth.

Seeing him take a step closer, she may have leaned even more against her seat, but there was no way just doing that would get herself farther away. Not that she thought anything bad would come of him moving closer, she just didn't want him focusing on the badge. Apparently the only way to do so was getting up and leaving.
And that would upset him more.
Sighing quietly, more out of frustration as he took another step closer and asked to see it again, Evelyn stared up at him, searching his face as the wheels turned in mind. There was no way around this. She was caught in the net. An odd feeling that was. Looking back down to her book that she was reading, the Slytherin was moving painfully slow in revealing the badge again.
Finally though, she let the book drop down on her lap before unpinning the badge, holding it in her hand for a moment as she looked back up to the Gryffindor. She could just see it now. Him storming away, throwing the badge back at her and that...was final. It was a miracle that she had lasted this long without him knowing.
Jade decided to go to the library lounge. She wanted to relax a bit. She loved reading so she decided to go to the library lounge.
The Library Lounge - a quiet place but very pleasent to if you were into reading. Cody wasn't always into reading - only the books he liked he would read. Anything else, he usually just found it boring or couldn't be bothered reading it. "Hey Jade", he said hugging her, taking a seat next to her.

Anna liked the Library because it was a great place to hide from the hustle and bustle which usually was in Hogwarts. Today there was not a lot of people and she thought it was excellent for the sake of privacy. Anna came not on purpose so long went scanning the shelves of books to choose something interesting. "The unknown facts of Astronomy?" She took the book in the black cover and opened it. "So today, I will stop my choice on you." She said turning to the book and smiled, when presented as it looks from the outside.
Anna closed the book and looked around and saw two empty armchairs which stood quite alone. She walked over to it and chose the one that was closer to the wall. The light from lamps was muted and gently envelop the side of the room of the library. She felt a rise of inspiration and sat back in the armchair opened the book again and plunged into reading.
The Library Lounge - a quiet place but very pleasent to if you were into reading. Cody wasn't always into reading - only the books he liked he would read. Anything else, he usually just found it boring or couldn't be bothered reading it. "Hey Jade", he said hugging her, taking a seat next to her.

It was an interesting. Not that she knew much about it. With most things she spouted out, she had just taken what she knew, they pieced them together like a jigsaw puzzle. Often certain key pieces were missing, but she generally got the gist of the idea through her mental puzzling.
Jade was lost in her book when she felt someone hugging her and then she heard his voice. It was Cody! Jade grinned "Hey Cody! How have you been?". It had been too long since they last talked. "What are you doing here?" She asked him with a surprised tone in her voice as she knew that Cody didn't like to read.
Cody let go of Jade. "I'm pretty well", he answered Jade smiling. "What about you?", he asked. He needed to say something back. "I came looking for you", he said quietly so no one else could hear.

Sometimes you step in something unpleasant, and it can be pretty bad. Sometimes you don't but it doesn't occur to you to be thankful that you didn't. People just aren't ever thankful enough of what DIDN'T happen to them.

There was a deep and apparently tense silence between the two as seemingly they did nothing but stare at each other but it was an obvious fact that their minds were very busy.
Though the Slytherin girl broke the gazing and look down at her book, Josh did not move and kept staring and he was getting more and more impatient as Evelyn spent more time looking elsewhere and doing something...
...something...
...she was taking off the shiny thing. To show him, right? It must have been since he had asked to see it again.
And when it was handed to him, Josh stared at the girl for a moment or so again before looking down to examine the thing.
The thing that was apparently a Head Girl's badge.
His eyes narrowed and a moan that told he was not pleased might escaped his mouth yet other than that he kept his silence and after some long minutes which felt like hours that he examined the badge, he looked up back at Evelyn...eyes still narrowed and the badge was hidden in his tight fist right now.
He did not know where and what to start with...

His words caused her eyebrows to twitch upwards in surprise. Lies? She wasn't aware that she lied about anything. "Lies?" she asked, asking what her thoughts repeated over and over again. "What lies?"
Eino couldn't even remember half of the things he had said in the past couple of minutes. He was just talking, talking, and talking to prevent the boy from asking any further questions in relation to his nationality, because he didn't know how to answer them, not yet at least. Fortunately, the conversation now seemed to be moving onto a more pleasant subject, Hogwarts.
Yes, it was enormous and Eino himself hadn't been to every part of it (or at least the parts he knew he could access) until last year, other places were prohibited and others unknown, so Eino couldn't really say he had been everywhere. Who could? His back was beginning to ache, so he straightened his back and sat up, and after being better accommodated to have a conversation, he spoke. "As am I." He replied in regards to the classes. Although, that really wasn't his plan. If he could, he would drop two or three subjects to make more time to execute some of his plans and to practice for Quidditch. "Yes, I have also signed up, but only to satisfy the wishes of my friends. I do believe to be quite inapt and possess inadequate knowledge of the sport, seeing as I don't know the different between a quattle and a bludger." Not to mention he had barely learned how to fly properly last term.
So like a typical Ravenclaw, he was also taking every class. "Nice." What else could be said? 'See you at the classes?' He preferred to work alone, if given the option, so... better not to make such promises. No, he should just move onto the Quidditch topic.
So he didn't have that much of strength in his character, since he sighed only to satisfy the others. He wasn't even going to correct the boy and point out it was quaffle. He did think one time that Eino would be a nice... acquaintance, but this nationality scandal and now weak character...
"I don't think you should force yourself for others. If you don't want it, you don't do it."Punto. But who was he to advise people? It was his life; he would do what he wanted. Or, in this case, what he didn't really want.

His words caused her eyebrows to twitch upwards in surprise. Lies? She wasn't aware that she lied about anything. "Lies?" she asked, asking what her thoughts repeated over and over again. "What lies?"

He could not believe that she seriously had asked that. She was not kidding, right? Because that was not the right moment to so that. No. She did not look like she was kidding anyway. She was seriously asking that.
''The train...Prefects' Compartment'' those were the key words ''Do these remind you something?''
He was sure they were petty much enough since she was a very smart girl and most likely smarter than himself. He had accepted that fact long ago but...he could never accept being lied to. ''You said you were there only to visit the people there and...'' since those people were not her besties as far as Josh knew ''...i told you my doubts about it and you refused it too.'' So that meant a double lie. A lie for the reason she had been there and another lie to hide the fact that the previous one had been a lie.
''Why did you do that?'' he knew she must have had a reason because he believed that the girl he loved would not lie him for the simplest things. Or he just wanted to think that way and believe it.

Looking past his shoulder and around the library, not feeling up to looking into his eyes anymore, the Slytherin girl shrugged her shoulders somewhat before speaking, just making eye contact every now and then. "Well technically, I wasn't...lying..." Really. She was there to visit people. His last question though had her being the one wondering if he was seriously asking that.
Yet he was, and he was waiting for an answer.
Sighing quietly, she ran her hands through her hair before her hands dropped to her sides, looking quiet defeated and upset. "Come on Josh. Really? You are really wondering why I haven't told you?" Could he just stop and think about it for a moment? "I know you're smarter than that..."

Was not lying...technically?
Did he have to view it in the technical way? Prefects' Compartment was the Head Girl's supposed residence in the Hogwarts Express as far as he knew. She was headed to there then gave out a completely different reason when he had asked about it. Did not she consider a lie? What was a lie in her dictionary then? Josh was curious know. Or not since it was apparently something worse if that was not considered a lie in that dictionary.
''But you fooled me anyway. And i take it as a lie.'' He was going to say and explain more about what he considered a lie yet her next words made him stop and think over them instead.
Well...yes. It was a well-known fact that he did favour no prefect or any other representative of authority in Hogwarts mainly because he thought the people of authority in Hogwarts did not know what was fair and what was unfair. Justice was never present within their deeds or decisions. There were many other minor reasons as well. So, being the person closest to him in Hogwarts, Evelyn wanted to hide that she was the head of those students who represented that corrupted authority because she knew he thought that way?
He did not if that idea was what she had in mind nevertheless it helped him to calm down.
First he put the unicorn book on a nearby shelf, then he walked to her and took her hand looking into her eyes. ''Rose. Regarless of what i think, i am aware of the importance of this and i might be able to understand what responsibilities it brings to you. So, i do appreciate it and want to congratulate you. I always knew you had what it takes to be a great leader.''
He leaned in, placed the badge back into her palm and closed it covering her hand with his both hands. ''But i am not happy that you felt the need to hide and lie in the process. Technically or not. I am sure you did not feel happy doing it either and it, to be honest, did hurt me more than finding this out. Do you know what it is like to find out that the most important person in your life has been hiding things from you? I am not angry that you are the Head Girl. You can even be the headmistress or something. I love you for who you are and will never stop doing so because of some little changes in our lives. I am just...''
He had to look away at this part because well...he felt awkwardly...shy.

[B]"Oh, cool,"[/B/ Lauren said with a smile masking her jealously. Her time at Hogwarts had barely began but already she was wishing it over, how unusual of her... "Will you miss it?" she asked with a slightly tilted head.
She nodded in agreement with Mia's words "Yeah, you're probably right. I don't think I'll ever figure it out though," Lauren shrugged and smiled. "I want to travel though. And I want to do something involving history, I think," she mused. Maybe an archaeologist, or something.
Lauren laughed along with Mia, enjoying her infectious personality. "That's a good trait to have. I'm so socially awkward and all I can read is books," she explained with a laugh. "Oh, cool! I'm glad I'm not alone," she smile in return "I didn't really go to many schools before. At least not for long. I travelled around more than anything else," Lauren explained.
That was a good question. One she had been asking herself a lot lately. Would she miss Hogwarts? "I'll miss the friends I have made here, but I can't say that I will miss the actual school and the Professors." She had never associated with any of the staff members outside of class and didn't really feel the need to either. Whatever problems she'd had over the past three years, she had worked out on her own and socialising with those that were that much older than her didn't really appeal to her.
Mia had to admit that she liked history as well. It was one of her better subjects here but she didn't want that as a career. "I think travelling is a must for everyone." She and Nik intended to do it as soon as she graduated. "Just wizard history or are you interested in muggle history as well?"
She gave Lauren a slightly disbeliving look. "You don't look like the awkward type to me. Here I am, a complete stranger and we're having a rather pleasant conversation." Or maybe she was just easy to talk to. So many people had told her that. "So you were kinda homeschooled? I was. For three years until my father it might be better if I got a proper education and sent me here." And it had been rather good timing on her father's part.

"Oh, fair enough," Lauren said with a soft smile. She could understand that, so far the majority of the staff seemed really odd or mean, except for Professor Bentley. She was alright. And Professor Schirmer wasn't too bad but she couldn't exactly imagine hanging out with her or anything. Lauren had no idea how Kurumi did it!
"Oh yeah!" Lauren agreed with Mia's statement with an eager nod. "I've done nothing but travel, my whole life!" she exclaimed. "Where do you plan to go?"
Lauren frowned as she contemplated Mia's question, "I think both," she concluded "It's all the same, isn't it? We're all human and it all interconnects." She secretly hoped Mia wouldn't react badly to her statement. She seemed like a lovely girl, but unfortunately Lauren had met some prejudiced types in her travels, all of whom would threaten to hex her for claiming such a thing...
"I guess I just feel awkward, y'know?" Lauren admitted with a blush, embarrassed by her confession but also pleased at Mia's words "I grew up with only my Dad for company and he's the only person in the world who I really know. Every one else are just acquaintances for a couple of months, and then I move on... My Dad's a travel writer," she explained with a shrug. "I've mostly been schooled by him and by the people we stay with as we travel." So, Mia had been homeschooled as well... Interesting. "How did you adjust to here?" she asked. Lauren was struggling, already. So any coping stategies would be useful!
"Umm, favourite subject? I don't think I have one yet," she admitted sheepishly. "I'm still adjusting. Most of the Proffesors are weird or they're okay, but their classes are boring. I'm not sure what to think..."

It was an interesting. Not that she knew much about it. With most things she spouted out, she had just taken what she knew, they pieced them together like a jigsaw puzzle. Often certain key pieces were missing, but she generally got the gist of the idea through her mental puzzling.
"I'll try feeling sad, see what that does to my magic." Jez concentrated on the feather above her, thinking of her brothers Keegan and Than, at home, having a great time without her. How Keegan didn't come to tell her goodnight anymore. How Than didn't annoy her with his endless questions. Yes, she missed even that about them. Tears welled up in her eyes as, for the first time since coming to Hogwarts, she felt really homesick.
The feather slowly began to drop altitude. No matter how hard Jez tried to keep it up, it just kept floating down until it gently landed on the table. Jez stopped trying the charm, and wiped her eyes with her sleeve, feeling sheepish about crying in public.

Oh how lucky was this girl? She had spent all her life travelling. Mia was totally jealous. "Oh we plan to go everywhere. We've been to Paris and Fiji already." They had been so much fun and so different too. "We're going to use this experience to find a place to live and open up a wand shop. See Nik likes the cold and I like the heat so we have to try and find somewhere that is a balance of both."
Mia nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah that's what I think too. But of course there are those out there that don't." She shrugged her shoulders. Personally she didn't get it. Nik's parents were like that and so were her own grandparents. That's why they didn't talk to them anymore.
Oh that could certainly be a lonely life. Not being able to make friends because you were constantly on the move. Mia shrugged her shoulders again. "Um...I don't know. I guess I was lucky because I met quite a few people in Diagon Alley who were new to Hogwarts as well so that made it easier I guess." She knew that Lauren was looking for tips but Mia didn't know what to tell her. She just had one of those personalities. "I'll talk to anyone so that certainly helped. Maybe just relax and be yourself and take things however they come."
Yeah she had to admit that some of the Professors were weird. Take Shaw for instance. Thank Merlin he wasn't going to be here this term. "Wait until potions. Never a dull moment in that class."
