For some reason, her silence added some more to his anger though. Maybe he was expecting an explanation. A good explanation. Yes, he wanted an explanation....for everything. RIGHT NOW!! But she was doing nothing but stare.
Patience, Josh Carter. He had to do his best to tame his feelings because it was all for her. It was her. Not someone else.
So swallowing a bit, he blinked then looked into her eyes again before speaking ''Then they were all lies.'' yes, he tried his best not to sound angry and cold but was not sure if he managed that. He could not and did not pay attention to that. ''Why?''
Perhaps she should've spoken, or done more than just stand in silence, but what was she supposed to do? It was better to wait for him to ask the questions first and answer them honestly.
Yet she really wasn't expecting him to say that. Lies?
His words caused her eyebrows to twitch upwards in surprise. Lies? She wasn't aware that she lied about anything.
"Lies?" she asked, asking what her thoughts repeated over and over again.
"What lies?"
