Isobel was walking along the halls of Hogwarts randomly. She was looking for someone to talk to, but she was also practicing Transfiguration spells. By that point she had pretty much memorized the incantations, but she was having a little trouble with the counter curse. Luckily, she had peeked in her notebook, so her hair was back to it's normal long length. She thought it would be cool if it was purple though. Isobel stopped walking and took out her wand. She closed her eyes, and imagined herself with purple hair. "Ristaris," she said clearly. She opened her eyes. She didn't feel any different, but then again it had just changed the color of her hair. Hopefully. Isobel took a strand in her fingers and held it up in front of her face. She grinned in delight when she saw that it was indeed purple. She skipped off merrily to find somewhere else to practice.

Selina walked along the third door corridor kicking her feet as she walked. She had just come back from Muggle Studies and was now wandering aimlessly around the school. Her next class was not for another two hours and Kurumi was in runes so she would have to wait to meet up with her until later. So she was left to kick away at the floor and wander. It was not like she minded, sometimes she enjoyed just walking around and observing things that she usually ignored. The school was so beautiful she wanted to see every piece of it before she graduated and even though she still had four years to do so it seemed like an impossible task.

Then her eye caught a statue and she took a few steps forward to analyze it. What in Merlin's name was this and why had she never seen it before?

Gideon had been walking up from wandering the grounds when he reached the moving staircases and wound up getting caught in them. "Ugg..." he said wondering where he was going to wind up. Stepping off at the floor he was delivered which was lower then he had been somehow, he wandered down the corridor to explore. Eventually finding both a familiar statue and a familiar personage looking at it and with a smirk slowly and quietly made his way closer.

"Looking for a new model for an art project..." he mused finally speaking and making his presense known as Selina walked up closer to the statue.

Selina perched her head to the side looking more deeply at the statue. It was sort of distorted and ugly in her opinion, yet in a very beautiful way. She loved the statue; she was just surprised that she had never seen it before. Then again this school was huge. There was no way that she was ever going to see all of it, though it was her goal before she graduated to see the entire thing. It was just massive and filled with numerous little treasures that were always there to surprise and excite her.

She took another step closer to get a better look at it when she heard a voice speak to her from behind. If it was possible she must have jumped straight out of her skin. She was terrified to her wits.

Her hand went over her heart when she turned around and saw Gideon Gert standing there speaking to her. She marched over to him and slapped him hard in the arm she didn't want to reach for his shoulder, "Merlin Gideon! Are you trying to give me a heart attack." Then she looked up a little and saw that her hair had fallen out a little from her headband. Then she pointed to her forehead and said, "See what you did? Are you happy?" Her hair was hard enough to tame without it being scared on end.

Gideon tried his best not to laugh aloud as he saw Selina jump and react to his speaking, proof that he had been better at sneaking up on her then he had originally thought. He had the decency to flinch and back off as she came towards him and hit him in the arm. "No...I was just trying to see if I could surprise ye. Sorry," he replied answering her half-appologetically. Only half seeing as it had been totally amusing to get her reaction after catching her off guard.

"No..." he started to say reaching up before he could think and fixing the hair and the headband back in place. It wasn't like was immune to troublesome hair himself just not on the female level though he did have a little sister. "Now I am...what about ye Skylar?" he added stepping back a little and trying not to appear sheepish at what he had just done.

Whatever possessed you, Gert....he berated himself waiting to see her reaction.

She gave him a half smirk when he apologized. He was only being half sincere. There was no doubt in her mind that he was trying to see if he could scare her or not. Mission accomplished. Her hand flew to her hip and she remarked knowingly, "Yeah well you did sneak up on me. And don't say your sorry... you enjoy watching me squirm." She said the last part with a slight laugh to her voice.

He started to say no when suddenly his hand outstretched to her face and brushed her hair out of her face and back into place. She was so shocked that her mouth dropped open a tad. Did that seriously just do that? No, he couldn't have... but he did. So she stood in her spot and listened to him say that he was now happy. What did that even mean? But she did not have time to mull over it long. Soon after he asked her if she was happy.

"Erm... well, ugh, that's a, um, tough, well- the problem is with that is..." Formulate words Selina! Formulate words! "Yeah, I guess I am."

Gideon watched to see what she truly felt on his actions, glad to see by her gentle smirk and hand on hip that there was no hard feelings over it. "Well maybe I did...a little," he answered honestly with a smile of his own.

The fourth year was still berating himself for his action since it had invaded Selina's personal space and been a bit more ackward then the kiss she had given him in the team locker room. He could easily see he had flumoxed her, the slightly gaping mouth and the stuttering speech that came from her lips and she tried to The boy biting the inside of his cheek to keep quiet. It was more of an effect then his original surprising of her which was interesting to say the least.

"Good to hear," he absently mused as he tried to think of how to bring the conversation back to a more suitable topic. "Ye never did answer my question..." Gideon stated reminded on what he had said to get her attention at first.

Selina rolled her eyes at his antics. She knew that he had enjoyed watching her squirm. Honestly, if the roles were reversed she would have liked to see the same thing. Nothing was better than catching people by surprise.

She tried to force herself to find a coherent pattern of speech when Gideon reminded her of the original question he had asked. Without hesitating she took the opportunity to turn back to the statue and look at it. Her hand tapped her chin as she started to review the statue in front of her. Was it inspiration? Maybe, maybe not. She was merely exploring to see if she could find inspiration. There was no definite answer to his question because she did not know herself yet, "I don't know. I mean, I guess I'm always on the look out for something artsy to do, you know? But that wasn't really looking at the statue for inspiration. I was just looking. I'm inquisitive to a fault."

Sam stopped at the statue.He looked at it for a while.Then he remembered about the hidden path behind it.He wanted to try it,but it's just impossible.
Though he don't have a good friend at all,he still love the life in this school.There are so many mysteries around here and they make him to feel so.
He thought "if i have a real brave friend,I might find the secret behind this statue..."

Gideon watched as she looked at the statue in front of them once more as if searching for an answer to his question with the stone there. The fourth year simply nodding as she speaks finding honesty in her words for it was a good enough reason for the inspection. Not to mention any place in Hogwarts was bound to have mystery attached and the statue was no different "Aye...I think thats one of the lesser known Gryffindor traits...the curiousity I mean," he remarked quite guilty of it himself on several occasions.

"Me thinks there was a secret passage behind it," he mused thinking back to something that had been told to him at one point in time. "If I remember my mother's stories. But its been blocked since before her time here though not when her great aunt was a professor here."

Selina looked sideways at Gideon as her eyes continued to study the little nooks and crannies of the statue. It was really a remarkable piece of art. She was always inspired by the more abstract pieces of art in the castle. Things that were more, well, different always attracted Selina more than the run of the mill art work that was beautiful, but there was nothing more to its beauty than just that- beauty.

She regretted not bringing her sketch pad along with her. There were so many lines that her fingers longed sketch of the statue. She chewed on her bottom lip in concentration at the statue. She would have to remember to come back her later with her sketch pad.

Then she turned back to Gideon and tilted her head in curiosity, "Really? That's fascinating. And who in your family taught here?"

Gideon followed Selina's gaze to the statue, looking it over himself as he took a step closer, to try and find what fascination there was there. Perhaps it was her artist eye but to him it was just a statue of a humpbacked witch...not particularly an interesting one out of all the statues at Hogwarts at least to him. But to each his...or her own.

He leaned back as she turned around in response to his comment "Professor McGonagall..." he answered moving his gaze to meet hers, briefly wondering what kind of response he would get to that. Granted it wasn't Dumbledore or Potter but it was his family history.

Selina blinked twice when he said that Minerva McGonagall was his Great Aunt. You had to be half-blind and stupid to not know who Minerva McGonagall was in the Wizarding World. She was one of the most instrumental witches in the Great War and at the Battle of Hogwarts where Harry Potter had destroyed Lord Voldermort. She had only heard the story a million times when she was little. However, the fact that Gideon was related to her was amazing. Her mother would have a panic attack if she found out. Sophie Skylar wrote her disortation on the influential women of the Battle of Hogwarts.

But she did not want to make Gideon feel awkward about the whole Minerva McGonagall thing. Sure, Selina thought she was an amazing woman, but she would keep that to herself. No need to have a panic attack in front of Gideon. He already probably thought she was crazy, he did not want him to think any less of her than he most likely already did.

She nodded at his answer and turned back to the sculpture, "That's cool. She was a pretty awesome lady. 'Course I'm a fan of her Great nephew... don't tell him that though."

Gideon braced himself for an energetic response when he noticed the change in Selina's expression at the mention of the woman. He couldn't blame anyone for it though seeing as she was kinda well known especially in the context of Hogwarts. At it wasn't like he was ashamed of her...not in the least. However he was thankful that it was in the end somewhat downplayed. "Aye she was," he answered in agreement remembering the stories before catching what Selina said about him and lowering his gaze momentarily.

"I'll be sure to keep it to myself," he remarked looking back up at her with a small smile.

Selina looked over at Gideon who was smiling at her and shot him back a lopsided smile. She was glad that the two of them were friends. Well, that was sort of a gray area right now, but that was minute little details that were not being discussed for a reason. She knew why they weren't talking about it. They promised each other that they were friends after it had happened. Beyond that though? She didn't know. She assumed that he didn't know either.

"Good... I wouldn't want that to get out. You know, my ruin my reputation."

Gideon chuckled at the smile he was returned with, its playful nature proof that their relationship was intact at whatever level it was in at the moment. The brief thought reminding him of what they had yet to figure out but he pushed it back once more to avoid it getting conplicated. "Of course not, Skylar, we wouldn't want that," he mused continuing to play along allowing a brighter smile to grace his face before nudging her in the shoulder.

"I think yer reputation is safe."

Selina gave Gideon a fake, over-exaggerated sigh of relief, "Thank Merlin, I don't know what I'd do if that got out." Then she nudged him back in the shoulder.

After a few moments of standing there in silence Selina turned to Gideon and opened her mouth to say something, but then just shut it and turned back to the statue. What was she even supposed to say? She had no idea. It was all just kind of a grey area right now. Besides they were good friends... what was she supposed to do? Question that?

Gideon shook his head amused as Selina commented dramatically before nudging him back in response to his words. When she turned to him, he expected her to say something especially as she opened her mouth to do, but when she stayed quiet and turned away back towards the statue without another words, he couldn't help but sigh softly.

"Is this...is this how its gonna be between us now? Fine one moment and ackward the next?" They both were questions that had been avoided but obviously they couldn't be...not for long anyway.

Selina looked at Gideon a little shocked. He had actually brought it up, well, pseudo brought it up. Was this how it was going to be with them? Pretend everything was fine when they both knew that the other knew that they were thinking about it? She did not want things to be awkward between the two of them, but she was not sure that if they spoke about it things would be even MORE awkward.

So she sighed and rubbed her forehead, "I... I don't know Gideon. What do you want me to say? That I don't know how I feel about all of this? That I know that when I see you I smile, but I don't know why? That I might like you, but we are friends and that could mess things up? That I'm afraid to say anything because you might not be feeling the same things I am... whatever it is that I'm feeling. Is that what you want to hear?"

Gideon saw the shock on her face as she turned back towards him but he did his best not to back down. Cowering would only prolong things and be totally uncharacteristic of the house in which they both belonged. Though he did give some pause when she sighed and rubbed her forehead almost as if she was frutrated. "Maybe..." he started to say when she had finally quieted. "At least then I'd know I'm not the only one feeling that way."

There...he had said it...admitted that he had some feelings for her. And by a few words Gideon had answered her own question...well both of them including the one she had simply wondered. If he was feeling the same way himself. "So at least thats one thing we've figured out..." he mused stating he obvious and he looked down absently a his feet, his hands in his pockets.

Selina looked at Gideon and tried to figure out what to say next. He had said very little but at the same time said very much. What was she supposed to do? She wasn't sure, but if she didn't say anything soon the two of them would revert back into ignoring the situation which was driving her crazy. Of course, that option was safer than actually attempting to work out whatever was happening. Still she needed to make a choice soon. If she didn't she might lose the chance to talk about this for a while.

So she didn't say anything. She instead took a step to the side so their shoulders were almost touching and she grabbed his hand in hers. Her fingers laced around his and she held his hand awkwardly while keeping her gaze fixated on the statue. Then she spoke without looking at him, "You're right. We have that one thing figured out. But that's about it." She was going to throw up. This whole thing was so nerve wracking.

His eyes remained downward as the silence lingered, though he could feel the momeHe didn't look up however until he felt her hand take his into her own, the boy turning his head to watch as their fingers intertwined. Gideon swallowed as she spoke, looking up just in time as Selina herself looked away. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze with hers smiling softly down at her even though he knew she wouldn't be able to see him.

"Well thats one thing we dinna know before so I guess its a good step forward," he mused looking over and following her gaze to the statue. A few moments passed before he let out a breath that turned into a brief laugh cut off as hecvered his mouth with his free hand.

Selina felt his hand squeeze hers and she gave a small smile as she continued to look at the statue. Her heart rate accelerated a little at the feeling of his hand around hers, but she should have expected this, she had after all taken his hand in the first place.

When he spoke her chest rose and she nodded slowly still treading dangerous waters. "Uh huh," was all she could muster out of herself. So much for a fearless, courageous Gryffindor. But then he laughed. Her head snapped to look at him in surprise and she continued to hold his one hand while her other poked him in the side, "What are you laughing at Gertie?" Now it was her turn to let out a little giggle, "Triple G, Gideolina, Gertie Gert... oooh I like that one."

Gideon lowered his hand and tried to act innoscent as Selina turned towards him. "Nothing," he replied at first not registering her use of Gertie at the end of the question. He might have been a little distracted by her also poking him in the side with her free hand. But as she named other nicknames she apparently had come up from him, he couldn't help wincing in imaginary pain as each one got worse, trying to grab her poking finger to defend himself.

"I however do not....so we'll abstain from usin' it, understood?" he commented seriously, finally taking hold of the offending hand so he was now holding both and they were facing each other.

Selina laughed as he tried to grab her finger. Each time he reached for it she would skirt her finger away from him and continue to laugh. But when he grabbed her finger and forced her to stand opposite of him her laughter feel suddenly silent.

Selina gave him the most innocent smile she could conjure and said sweetly, "No I don't understand, Mr. Gertie Gert." Then she stood up on her toes and whispered in his face mockingly, "Why don't you like your nicknames Triple G... Gidelina... Gavie... Giddie Widdie?" She was poking the lion, that she knew. But he was making it far too easy.
