Gideon braced himself for an energetic response when he noticed the change in Selina's expression at the mention of the woman. He couldn't blame anyone for it though seeing as she was kinda well known especially in the context of Hogwarts. At it wasn't like he was ashamed of her...not in the least. However he was thankful that it was in the end somewhat downplayed. "Aye she was," he answered in agreement remembering the stories before catching what Selina said about him and lowering his gaze momentarily.
"I'll be sure to keep it to myself," he remarked looking back up at her with a small smile.
Selina looked over at Gideon who was smiling at her and shot him back a lopsided smile. She was glad that the two of them were friends. Well, that was sort of a gray area right now, but that was minute little details that were not being discussed for a reason. She knew why they weren't talking about it. They promised each other that they were friends after it had happened. Beyond that though? She didn't know. She assumed that he didn't know either.
"Good... I wouldn't want that to get out. You know, my ruin my reputation."
