Gideon lowered his hand and tried to act innoscent as Selina turned towards him. "Nothing," he replied at first not registering her use of Gertie at the end of the question. He might have been a little distracted by her also poking him in the side with her free hand. But as she named other nicknames she apparently had come up from him, he couldn't help wincing in imaginary pain as each one got worse, trying to grab her poking finger to defend himself.
"I however do not....so we'll abstain from usin' it, understood?" he commented seriously, finally taking hold of the offending hand so he was now holding both and they were facing each other.
Selina laughed as he tried to grab her finger. Each time he reached for it she would skirt her finger away from him and continue to laugh. But when he grabbed her finger and forced her to stand opposite of him her laughter feel suddenly silent.
Selina gave him the most innocent smile she could conjure and said sweetly,
"No I don't understand, Mr. Gertie Gert." Then she stood up on her toes and whispered in his face mockingly,
"Why don't you like your nicknames Triple G... Gidelina... Gavie... Giddie Widdie?" She was poking the lion, that she knew. But he was making it far too easy.
