Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Carriwitchet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby. | |

Lexi was NOT in her fave spot in the common room, which was on a sofa next to the fireplace. Instead she was seated in the floor on top of a mound of FLUFFY pillows she had conjured. Hehe. She was lounging in the sad little bit of sun light that was spilling through the window reading a book on... well this was a SHOCKER... it was Ten Tips for the Average Witch's Survival in the Muggle World.
She would take all the help she could get on this matter. Heh.

Selina debated going up to the Dorms to avoid the elitist blonde and her random outbursts of self-important preaching when she saw Lexi completely ignore her and settle on a piece of parchment in front of her nose. She took this as a sign of peace or at least a sign of passing and she made her way over to her chair. As she stepped she made sure to avoid anything that dealt with Lexi's current set up. It was best if the two kept their worlds vastly different, after all Lexi only had a few months left in this place and if Selina played her cards right the two would never speak again. Then Lexi would ride off into the sunset with the Head Boy and Selina would never have to deal with her ever again. If only a few months were here now.
Once she sat down in her seat she ripped open her letter from home with a load scrunch sound. Then she threw the scraps aside and the excess paper fell to the ground. She would pick it up later, she wanted to read this letter first. Besides no one would mind much if she had her trash on the ground. It was after all her trash.

She knew she had told Jordan that she didn't want to date until her sixth year, but she really liked this boy. . . and she still liked someone else but THAT was secret. "A boyfriend, huh?" Not that Jordan actually cared, he was sort of her best friend and probably should've showed some concern. "What's his name?" Jordan asked while looking down and rubbing his eyes.

This was Lexi not understanding something. Selina had less than a minute left in her reading of the letter when she heard a book snap shut. Her pale blue eyes peaked over the top of the letter and saw Lexi, or what seemed to be Lexi, thrashing around like an eel on her pile of pillows and screaming something into the pillow surface.
What was Lexi doing? For Merlin's sake she was going to scare all of the first years if she kept at it with her crazy act. So Selina politely remarked, although she honestly did not care about the answer to her question, "Lexi? Are you okay?" She silently hoped the girl would not respond to her. She did not want to actually have to put effort into replying to Mrs. Head Boy.

Lexi heard the girl talk to her and for a moment thought of ignoring her altogether and continuing with her screaming and thrashing. But she was grown up... she couldn't keep on like that. Sighing heavily she turned her head to the side and looked at Selina out of one eye since the other was turned in to the pillows still.
" I am trying to learn how to be more... MUGGLE and it's stupid and confusing and I don't know the FIRST thing about cooking. Growing up is terrible. Never do it. Find a... deaging potion and take it. NEVER GROW UP SELINA. NEVER," she said morosely and then turned her head back so she was face down in the pillows again.

She looked behind her shoulder to see if Lexi was looking at anyone in particular, but then she said Selina's name and she knew there was no way she was going to avoid this comment. After all it was directed toward the third year. "W-well why are you, um, trying to be more Muggle? I mean who says you have to do that?" She had a feeling a certain Slytherin Head Boy was behind this current panic, "A-and I have to grow up eventually. You can't go to Hogwarts forever or else your time here wouldn't be special."
