Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Carriwitchet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby. | |

Seeing how quickly Jai had appeared and disappeared in the common room, Kurumi jumped up from her spot on the couch and marched right over to the notice board where the flyer all the prefects had been working on sat somewhat lost in the mass of other fliers and old announcements.
Dance lessons? Well, that was old, so Kurumi took that one down along with the announcement about Dueling Club. After a few moments, all that remained was the announcement for the prefect event sitting riiiiiiiiiiiiight in the middle of the board.
She turned around to everyone in the common room and took a deep breath before shouting. " HEY EVERYONE! The Prefects and Captains would really appreciate it if you took a look at the NOTICE BOARD," she said, waving her arms a bit. In fact, they really should check it everyday and perhaps even subscribe to it so that they knew when new notices were put up. " I will be updating the homework announcements again soon as well." Doing one of those lengthy announcements with what classes are open and what homework there is just so everyone was on the same page.

Settling herself by the crackling fire, Thea watched the flames dance. Smiling she blew out, and sighed. It was loovely and warm in here. Perfect to have a proper look at her egg for Charms. Fishing it out of her school bag, she placed it on the floor infront of her. It was shaking. A lot. Suddenly paniced, Thea pressed a finger to the metal. Ew. Withdrawing her finger, Thea's nose wrinkled automatically. It was wet!! Disgusting.. Resisting the urge to bat it away from her, Thea took a deep breatha and got her wand out. The egg growled again, the light of the fire bouncing off it's surface as it shook. 'Well if you don't want to be nice and dry..' She folded her arms across her chest and looked away. Stupid huffy thing...
A few minutes later, Thea sighed. 'Argentum Siccus!' She said in a clear voice. She twirled her wand, and pointed at it at her egg as she pronounced the two words carefully. Immediantly the egg stopped shaking. Raising her eyebrows in suprise, she carefully placed the same finger on top of it. Ha! Aaand he was dry!
