Hecate was smiling while setting up the class... it was eerie. It wasn't a smirk... it was a real smile. She had an empty cauldron in the front of the class. And on the tables, there were little home made petit fours, made by the potions mistress that said "Eat Me."
Maybe it was a little Wonderland reminiscent, but it there didn't make you grow or shrink. She opened the door and waited for her students.

"Good, so you all know what you are brewing..." She said and smirked. "And you all know what will be appearing on your skin by the end of the class. Nice... big... puss filled boils." She shrugged, "For your final, you will brew this potion on your own, simply following the directions" She said tapping the board.
"Pair up if you need to, but it isn't necessary. Take a vial of it to cure yourselves, and give me a vial to grade you on. Start Now."

William is ready for this assignment. He knew he was going to get boils on his face. William cleans his cauldron. William adds 6 snake fangs to the mortar. Hew crushes them into a fine powder using his pestle.
Cure for Boils Potion
1. Add 6 Snake Fangs to the mortar.
2. Crush into a fine powder using the pestle.
3. Add 4 measures of the crushed fangs to your cauldron.
4. Heat the mixture.
5. Wave your wand in a backwards "x" over the cauldron, starting top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right to top-left, casting "Percurus"
6. Leave to brew and return in 80 minutes.
7. Add 4 horned slugs to your cauldron.
8. Take the cauldron off the fire before adding the next ingredient.
9. Add 2 Porcupine Quills to your cauldron.
10. Stir 5 times, clockwise.
11. Wave your wand in a rightwards "x" over the cauldron, starting top-left, bottom-right, bottom-left to top-right, casting "Percurus"
12. Heat it again until turns green.
13. Add Flobberworm Mucus until the potion turns pink.

Now that she had all her ingredients before her, Alyssa proceeded to start making the potion. She first checked her note journal to make sure that she was on the right track.

Alyssa first made sure that her cauldron was still clean, but to be on the safe side, she took out her wand, pointed it at the cauldron and said "Scourgify". She repeated it for both the mortar and the pestle since she needed them cleaned too. Then she filled her cauldron with water by pointing her wand and using the"Aguamenti spell. She assumed that they needed to have water in the cauldron. They always did when making the other potions. She hoped she wasn't wrong.

William krrps going. William waves his wand backward making an "X'over the cauldron top-right. then bottom left, now bottom-right and finally top-left with the spell " Percurus." Willaim leeaves it to brew for eighty minutes. Hw qill not watch the cauldron boil of it will take at least one-hundred and sixy minutes, double the time.

Now that she had filled the cauldron with water, Alyssa checked her notes for what she needed to do next.

Then she holstered her wand and picked up the 6 Snake fangs, placed them in her mortar and using her pestle and started crushing them. She crushed and crunched until they turned into fine powder. She then picked up her measuring spoon and scooped up 4 measures of the fine powder and poured it into her cauldron.

William came back after the alloted eighty minutes. Willaim adds four horned slugs to his cauldron. Willaim then proceeds to take the cauldron off the fire before he puts in the next ingredient. Willaim adds two porcupine Quills to his cauldeon. This is fun.

Even though she hadn't eaten the gross chocolate dessert thingy - which looked cute enough but was gross because it contained chocolate - Tori would make a boil cure anyway. She was good at potions and one of her classmates who HAD eaten the petit four would probably mess theirs up so when they did, she would be standing by, ready to throw the potion in their face! So helpful, yay!
Hopefully it would be Sierra Greengoblin who messed up. Heh. With that thought in mind, Tori got started.

Tori gathered up all the ingredients she needed and then scourgified and thoroughly cleaned her cauldron, checking for any leaks or dents or anything wrong with it. Satisfied that all was good to go, she then started crushing up 6 snake fangs in her mortar.

After her first mistake, Alyssa made sure that she checked her notes before and after every step to make sure that she got it right this time round.

She then lit the cauldron burner and set the burner first on high to heat it and once it started to heat up quickly, she lowered it back down to medium high to keep the heat at a steady temperature. Alyssa then took out her wand, pointed it over the mixture and waved her wand in a backwards "x" over the cauldron, starting top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right to top-left, and said "Percurus". She then let the mixture brew. She checked her watch "80 minutes from now,"Alyssa reminded herself.
William sees the next instructions. The cauldron is back on the fire. Wlliam notices these instructions. William needs the heat up the caulderon again. Hw waits for it to turn green.
Salima picked up the pestle and started crushing the fangs until it turned into a powder but still had a few clumps so she crushed it again until it was ,as the directions say, "a fine powder". She then looked at step three...

Alyssa checked her time. 80 minutes had passed. It was time to proceed to the next part of making the potion. She checked her notes again.

Alyssa looked into her cauldron to make sure that the mixture was brewing nicely. Then she picked up the 4 Horned Slugs and added it into her cauldron. Then making sure that her gloves were securely on her hands, Alyssa picked up her cauldron and removed it from the fire. She could feel the heat from the hot metal go right through her gloves but it was bearable. She slowly moved the cauldron and placed it on her work table. She had to remove the cauldron from the fire because the next step in making the potion was adding the two Porcupine quills to the mixture.

Alyssa then picked up two Porcupine Quills and added it to the mixture in the cauldron. She then picked up her stirring spoon and stirred the mixture making sure that she was stirring it in a clockwise direction. She stirred the mixture in a clockwise direction 5 times. Once she was done stirring, she laid down her spoon.

William looks to see what is next for this potion. Oh it seems like I will have to wait again. William is weong. This is a hard potion to brew. William heats the Cauldren again. William needs to wait for the potion to turn orange.

And the Cure for Boils would have a bunch of steps. Sky gathered all of the ingredients required for the potion and went back to her station. "Scourgify!" she cast on her cauldron. She was proud of herself for remembering that this time! And, just for good measure she cast "Scourgify!" on her mortar, pestle, and gloves too. Slipping on her now clean gloves, Sky added the six snake fangs to her mortar, grabbed her pestle and ground them. When they were ground completely into a fine powder, she cast "Aguamenti!" into her cauldron until it was at the level needed, then added the required four measures of powdered snake fangs. She cast "Incendio!" at the bottom of her cauldron and let the beginnings of her potion heat up.

Salima added water to her cauldron using the spell "Aguamenti" the placed her wand back on her desk, she then put in 4 meaure ment of the powderd fangs into her cauldron. Once again Salima picked up her wand and pointed it under her caludron and said "Incendio" then looked at the next step.

Zhenya wrote down all of the instructions, quickly triple checking it. She didn't want to stuff it up and end up with more boils! She gathered everything she needed to brew this potion correctly and performed steps 1-3 with the snake fangs.
She liked working with snake fangs because they were relatively easy for her to use. She measured out the correct amount of snake fangs into the mortar and crushed them into a fine powder with the pestle. She kept checking it to make sure it was correct texture. Then she added 4 measures of the fine powder snake fang into the cauldron.

William is almost finished. A couple of more ingrediants and it will be a potion.
William mixes in the dry nettles. Wait again. This potion should be called the hurry up and wait potion. William waits again for the potion to turn green.
William is almost done William waits for the potion to heat again. He waits and waits. Seems like a long time. It finally turns red for him. William now takes a vial for himself. Then he has one for Professor Lafay. William had all thes boils on him from eating her petit-four. He did not mind, he was the first and the bravest. William takes one vial to the professor. " Here is the vial of the potion I made in class" William told Professor Lafay. " Now if yo udo not mind, I am going to go outside and drink the other vial to get rid of these boils" Willaim said to the professor. AS willaim walked outside, he took the vial of the potion he made. " The boild are going away, but slowly. At least they are going away from his face.

Her next step was to use her wand. So Alyssa took out her wand and then read what the wand movements were and the incantation she had to say. She practiced the wand movements a few times and incantations silently in her mind first before she waved her wand in a rightwards "x" over the cauldron, starting from top-left to bottom-right to bottom-left to top-right and said the incantation, "Percurus"
Salima returned to her cauldron after eighty minutes to continue with the next step. Salima then put on her gloves (for saftey precautions) and put 4 horned slugs into her cauldron, then put the fire out looking at her instructions for the next task.
