Hecate was smiling while setting up the class... it was eerie. It wasn't a smirk... it was a real smile. She had an empty cauldron in the front of the class. And on the tables, there were little home made petit fours, made by the potions mistress that said "Eat Me."
Maybe it was a little Wonderland reminiscent, but it there didn't make you grow or shrink. She opened the door and waited for her students.

Now that Alyssa had cast the spell, she holstered her wand and checked her notes again.
Text Cut: Alyssa's potion journal
1. Clean cauldron
2. Get ingredients - 6 Snake fangs, 4 Horned Slugs, 2 Porcupine Quills, Enough Flobber Worm mucus and a handful of Dried Nettles.
3. Clean mortar and pestle
4. Add water into cauldron
5. Crush 6 Snake Fangs in mortar with pestle into fine powder
6. Add 4 measures of the crushed fangs to your cauldron.
7. Heat the mixture.
8. Wave your wand in a backwards "x" over the cauldron, starting top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right to top-left, casting "Percurus"
9. Leave to brew and return in 80 minutes.
10. Add 4 horned slugs to your cauldron.
11. Take the cauldron off the fire before adding the next ingredient.
12. Add 2 Porcupine Quills to your cauldron.
13. Stir 5 times, clockwise.
14. Wave your wand in a rightwards "x" over the cauldron, starting top-left, bottom-right, bottom-left to top-right, casting "Percurus"
15. Heat it again until turns green.
16. Add Flobberworm Mucus until the potion turns pink.

Alyssa picked up the cauldron with her gloved hands and placed it back on the fire. With the temperature at a constant medium high, Alyssa watched it simmer until the potion started to turn green. Then she slowly poured the Flobberworm mucus into the potion until the potion turned pink. She stopped adding the Flobberworm mucus and laid the bottle aside on the worktable. She continued to keep the cauldron heated and simmering on the fire, keeping a constant eye on it just to make sure that it didn't overheat or boil over. Soon the potion started to change color again. Originally, it was pink in color, but as the potion continued to simmer and brew, its color started to turn orange.

After heating the mixture, it was time for Sky to use her wand. Starting from the top-right of her cauldron and moving her wand to the bottom-left then starting again at the bottom-right and going to the top-left, she made a "x" over her cauldron while casting "Percurus!" Now, time to leave it and let it brew for eighty minutes. But there was no way Sky was leaving the room when there was a possibility of boils popping up on her skin. So she looked through her bag for something to do. She found a notebook and pen and sank down to the floor. She set the alarm on her watch for eighty minutes and started to doodle.

Alyssa was glad that she was almost done with making the potion. The boils on her hands and face were beginning to hurt really bad. All she needed to do now was mix the dried nettles into the potion. She picked up some dried nettles, slowly adding a few at a time because she didn't know the exact amount to put in. She stopped adding the moment she saw the potion turn green. Brushing off the remaining dried nettles from her gloved hands, Alyssa let the potion continue to heat and simmer until the color of the potion turned red.

The potion was ready. Alyssa immediately turned off the fire, picked up her spoon and a vial, scooped up the potion and poured into the vial. She closed the vial with a stopper and put it in her pocket to drink the moment she left the class. Then she picked up another vial and scooped some more potion in it and closed it with a stopper. This would be the one she gave the Professor.
She then took off her gloves and took out her wand. Her cauldron and spoon needed to be cleaned. So she pointed her wand at them and said, "Scourgify". Once they were clean, she packed them into her bag with all her other stuff. Making sure that her workstation was clean, Alyssa picked up her bag and approached the Professor.
"Here's the potion I made, Professor. I have to say that your classes have been very interesting and I look forward to attending more of them in the future. By the way, I know that it is none of my business, but I noticed that you were wearing a beautiful ring on your engagement finger. If it means what I think it means, I would like to wish you congratulations on your engagement, Professor. You truly deserve to be happy." With a last smile for the Professor, Alyssa left the Potions classroom.

Sierra watched the ingredients twist and turn together, coming together as one brew rather than several different ingredients. It was satisfying, really. She glanced up at Lafay and gave the woman a smile before turning back to her brew. While the ingredients mixed together, Sierra checked her arm. It was redder than it had been before, and it almost looked bubbly in certain areas.
She made a face and turned away from it. She couldn't bare to look at it, especially if boils were about to pop up all over her body. Speaking of which, maybe she should try and finish this before the boils pop up. Brewing a potion with a bad case of boils had to be painful. On that note, she flicked her wand into her hand, aimed it at the cauldron, and said, "Incendio!" Almost instantly, a small fire lit underneath the cauldron.

Now she got to go take a break while the potion brewed. Dooo de dooo.

Ugh, so she was right on when she had thought the potion had sounded familiar. Boils? Why?!! With a tight lipped expression, Kourt read the first few lines of the potion and began to gather the needed ingredients.
Snake fangs times six…four horned slugs…two porcupine quills…flobberworm mucus…dried nettles.
Once she had gathered the ingredients, she raised her wand and cast Scourgify on her cauldron and then cast it again on her mortar/pestle set. Everything must be clean, first and foremost. A dirty cauldron just might mess with the potion and she DID not want that to happen; definitely not when it was to brew an antidote to boils!
She casted the spell once more on each…just to be certain. Now to begin.

And now he starts...
As the first direction suggested, Jonathan took the snake fangs on the right side of his table and put 6 of it into the mortar. Then he crushed it with the pestle, waiting for it to be in it's powdered-like texture.
While still crushing it he turned back to his notes and reading out the next procedures:

Alright then. Down to business. Kourtney pulled on a set of goggles and then her dragon hide gloves before picking up the snake fangs and adding them to her mortar. She certainly was not going to risk being harmed by any of those ingredients by handling them with her bare hands.
Picking up the pestle, she held the mortar in one hand to keep it from sliding about and then set to work. Crush, crush, crush, crush. The fangs were pretty tough and it took all of Kourt’s strength to crush them into a powdery form.
After several minutes, and a little huffing and puffing, the first year peered into the mortar and surveyed the particles of snake fang. She crushed the mixture twice more and then took out her measuring cup.
Casting Scourgify on the cup, she then carefully poured some of the mixture into the measuring cup, being extremely wary of the mark that indicated four measures.
Once she had reached it, she stopped, gave her cup a shake to settle the mixture, and then looked at the cup at eye level. A little more would be needed. She tipped her mortar over just a bit and shook more of the mixture inside.
*Wow Matty thought. Another reason why he did not like this class very much. Why couldn't they just have a class where they ate cake? Matty would like that class, he would be good at it and get an OUTSTANDING without a problem. But no, they had to eat nasty cakes. This wouldn't be a hard fix though. In his second year on Christmas holiday his uncle gave him a bit of cake just like this. Since then it had been an on going joke to try and trick the other into eating something to get the boils.*
"I am enjoying this class very much."
*Matty said with a smirk over at Marie. Cleaning out his cauldron with a mumbled Scourgify he started on the first part of the list.*
"Right... step one... well clean I guess. Step two... something with snakes if I remember... yeah Add 6 Snake Fangs to the mortar... Okay."
*Getting all that he needed Matty soon got to work on the snake fangs.*

Urgh. This was going to be disgusting. Boils..seriously? That was why she was feeling sick right now. She would be having boils sooner or later.The effects of her allergy would be something like this. So you can say that even if she had not taken that cake with the chocolate, she would be most likely still be getting its effects.
Beezus started writing down on her parchment their needed ingredients and the steps as Professor Lafay told them that the Boil-Cure Potion would be their Final Test.

After a bit more, the crunching sound of the pestle breaking the fangs into smaller bits became muffled and Kurumi took a peek at her mortar to see that they had been crushed into what could only be described as a greyish sand. That should do it.
Kurumi looked at her parchment again and was just about to add the four measures when...she wasn't sure about her step. Water first? Water after?
Peeking up again in Jonathan's direction, she waited to see what the future Potions Master would do.
Kurumi watched Jonathan out of the corner of her eye and secretly wished that she were as happy about brewing as he was. He was in the zone and completely focussed on what he was doing that everything else around him didn't matter. Hey, that was sort of like her in Care of Magical Creatures come to think of it.
MERLIN! While she had distracted herself thinking about creatures she hadn't been paying attention to what he had been doing. Fudgesickles.... Sighing, Kurumi turned her attention back to her parchment and own cauldron before picking up her own wand again. Water was the base for all potions, well, some sort of liquid at least, right? "Aguamenti," she whispered, filling her cauldron. Once the water was in, Kurumi cast Scourgify on her gloves, just to be safe, put them back on, and then added the four measures of powdered snake fangs to her cauldron.
Her skin was becoming more and more itchy by the moment, which was also causing the lioness to panic more and more. Please don't let her break out into boils right now...please...please...please...
While she scratched, Kurumi checked the instructions and saw that the next step was a spell. Merlin why did there have to be a new spell with this potion?! One that she had never used before. Still, it shouldn't be THAT hard considering the beginner level of this potion, right? She hoped so. She picked up her wand again and pointed it to her burner. "Incendio," she whispered, lighting a fire and then adjusting it so that the flame wasn't too strong. She then set her cauldron on top of it and picked up her wand. First...to practice this spell and wand movement.

There was supposed to be water in here right? Otherwise…how would the potion brew? Or even have a liquid consistency? After quietly casting Aguamenti, she dumped the measuring cup of crushed fangs into the cauldron. She then pointed her wand at the cauldron to start the fire and begin to heat the mixture. “Incendio!" She raised her eyes back to the board, and then picked up her wand again after reading the next instruction three times.
Starting top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right to top-left, casting "Percurus". She did as was instructed. Wand to top-right, then sweep to bottom-left, then to bottom right, sweeping to top left. “Percurus!” She cast after practicing the wand movement and incantation silently for a few minutes.
She peered into the cauldron, not noticing anything in particular.
Now to…wait for..oh. 80 minutes.
Okay…she could do that. She would rather wait inside the classroom though. She could work on some of her other homework while she waited.
Taking a seat out of the way from the others, she pulled a book and parchment from her bag and bent her head to do a bit of reading. She had made an indication on a spare piece of parchment of the time that she had cast the spell and now was settling in to wait the required time.

She kept glancing at her watch every now and again. When five minutes until it was time to move had shown, Kourt put away her book and parchment into her bag. While she had been reading, she had felt a little prickle on her arms and then her legs every now and again. Now she pulled back to the sleeves of her robes and stared. Oh no, you don’t. Not yet. Her skin appeared reddened and seemed a little tender as she rubbed a finger across it.
With a frown, she hurried to her cauldron, and stared at her watch, counting down the seconds.
As the time drew near, she picked up four horned slugs, and when the last second had ticked down, she dropped the slugs inside, being careful not to splash the solution.

Letting the fact that the potion they were working on was the Boil curing kind sink in allowed the thought that big boils would soon be sprouting on his skin. That sucked. Auggie had never had a boil before but he could hardly believe they were painless. Teh gryffindor decided he needed to work quickly to ensure he spent as little time as possible with the things.
Pulling out his wand he Scorgified his cauldren twice for good measure after what happened the last lesson when he had the cauldren dropped over his head by the Professor. Nope not again. After the cauldren was cleaned thoroughly, Auggie headed over to the store cabinet and retrieved all of the needed ingrediants.

Now that the mixture is already been heated Jonathan looked over to his notes again to read the next steps for the brewing of the potion. His eyes widened at the next step.
WHOAH! This seemed to be a lot of wand working! But nevertheless, he has to make this potion perfect. The key motivation to it is because of the bloody boils that will turn out into their face if they don't make this faster enough.
But before performing the next step, Jonathan's hand went over to his cheeks and felt it for a second. PHEW! The boils weren't still there but his body seems to be reacting already and telling him to hurry up before it gets out. --- Or maybe, he's just too OCD that's all.
Anyways... Jonathan took his wand out and practiced the wand movement. X backwards. First from top to right and then bottom left. Next is bottom to right then top to left. It's still hard to do especially because the wand movement is in a backwards X movement. And then you have these directions top left, top right, whatever it is!
After practicing it two times, Jonathan was ready enough to do it. OH! The incantation is Percurus. Funny spell. Jonathan then positioned his wand over the cauldron and started to do the wand movement which is the backwards X movement.

"Percurus" he uttered the spell. The next step seems to be the easiest one of all:
Steps 1. Add 6 Snake Fangs to the mortar. 2. Crush into a fine powder using the pestle.
3. Add 4 measures of the crushed fangs to your cauldron.
4. Heat the mixture.
5. Wave your wand in a backwards "x" over the cauldron, starting top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right to top-left, casting "Percurus"
6. Leave to brew and return in 80 minutes.
7. Add 4 horned slugs to your cauldron.
8. Take the cauldron off the fire before adding the next ingredient.

She knew that they were going to have boils soon. But she did not expect it to be so itchy in the process. Her skin becomes more itchy as minutes pass by. It was not good because she could not come into concentration.. Not to mention the awkwardness inside the dungeon as her classmates are afraid to talk to one another, or even to face each other in the possibility of seeing one already with boils. How she wished they were just playing with plants right now. Planting or even pruning would be more exciting than waiting for the boils to come out.
With a sigh, she looked at the crushed snake fangs in her mortar. Looks finely crushed to me, she said in her mind. Setting the pestle down beside the mortar, Beezus referred to her parchment for the next step she would undertake.
And the next step would be to add four measures of the snake fang into the cauldron. Beatrice took her gloves from her bag, scourgified it and quickly placed it on. Then she scooped four measures of it and poured it one by one into the cauldron.
Scoop. Scratch face with back of hand. Scoop. Scratch. Scoop. Scoop.

The first seven steps had been completed. Now…9 more steps to go. Kourtney read through the ingredients again, and, with gloves tightly on, removed the cauldron from the fire. Oof. That was just a little heavy with the solution inside of it.
After the cauldron was secure, she sifted through her next ingredients. She then selected the porcupine quills, being wary of the sharp points.
Lifting them, she held them over her cauldron and dropped them up. Done.

Once she had removed the thing from the fire (it sure was heavier than she had expected), Tori plucked her two porcupine quills out of her assembled ingredients and then dropped them into the potion one at a time.

Oh No she thought they have started. She put both hands to her face there was more then one. She went back to her notes and took her cauldron off the fire.

Well this step was a little boring, but Tori checked her notes anyway to make sure she had it right. Five stirs clockwise. Right.
Which way was clockwise again? Left to right or.... right to left? Tori glanced down at her watch and watched it for a full minute to see which way the hand moved. Aha. It goes to the right. YES.
Tori picked up her stirrer and slowly started to move it in a clockwise fashion, counting the five stirs under her breath as she completed each one.

Minerva took 2 porcupine quills and added to her cauldron. She started stirring clockwise five times. She started getting a little nervous about the boils that she knew were growing on her face. She had to get this right. So she checked over what she had done so far to make sure it was all correct. Once she knew it was correct she started looking at the next step.
