Hecate was smiling while setting up the class... it was eerie. It wasn't a smirk... it was a real smile. She had an empty cauldron in the front of the class. And on the tables, there were little home made petit fours, made by the potions mistress that said "Eat Me."
Maybe it was a little Wonderland reminiscent, but it there didn't make you grow or shrink. She opened the door and waited for her students.
ooc: This class will stay open for at least 72 hours (probably more.) Also thanks to Antarctica! for taking the picture of the Potions Classroom for me at the WWoHP, and to Ameh for makin it into a pretty graphic!
Ariana examined the ingredients and raised her hand, "Professor, these are ingredients to the Boil Cure Potion." She answered with a smile. Cure for Boils. How. . .nice.

"Judging by the ingredients, can anyone tell me what potion we are brewing as a final?" She asked.
"Sorry Professor Lafay." She swallowed. Now what? She would be destroying their Mistress' pleasant mood? She doesn't want to. And if she did, then she was feeling very sorry. She never wanted that to happen. As Professor Lafay removed the chocolate from the cake, Beatrice kept her head down. She was rather feeling miserable now. Destroying Lafay's mood was one thing, but destroying Lafay's good mood was entirely another matter. "Thank you Professor." She muttered, eyes set on the cake without the chocolate. And did she somehow detect sarcasm in Lafay's voice? Then that would really make her day worst.
She sighed before unwrapping the petit four and throwing it inside her mouth. It was delicious, yes. But her mind wasn't really set on the taste. She was still feeling bad about her sudden yelling. It was her fault after all.
After that, Lafay started writing down the ingredients that they would need for their potion today. Godric, those were ingredients for the Boil Cure potion. She had read about those when she had brewed a potion sometime around the start of term in the Potions Laboratory. She actually gave them boils! Beatrice caught the frustrated reactions of the students as they gave out their answer. It was really terrible. But because she was still feeling bad, she didn't dare speak because she was afraid she might say something that would spoil Lafay's mood.

"Good, so you all know what you are brewing..." She said and smirked. "And you all know what will be appearing on your skin by the end of the class. Nice... big... puss filled boils." She shrugged, "For your final, you will brew this potion on your own, simply following the directions" She said tapping the board.

Salima walked over towards her work station with her ingredients and all of the equiptment she needed to make a cure for boils.
Salima picked up 6 Snake Fangs ,and one at a time, gently placed them in her mortar.
Ira jotted down all the ingredients and the procedure for the potion in her journal.

Ira was eager to finish her potion before those large pus-filled boils would begin to appear. Oh Merlins! The thought of those boils too was bad!

Minerva's hand's flew to her face and she started feeling around. Nothing yet. She copied all the ingredients down and then took her cauldron, wand, and mortar out. She pointed her wand "Scourgify". Once everything was clean she went over and got all her ingredients bringing them and organizing them on her work station.

Kurumi felt like slamming her head against her desk, but refrained from doing so and instead hit it on her book. No wonder she was feeling sick right now, her entire body was going to be covered in boils at the end of the lesson...if not sooner. At least this term didn't result in them using Polyjuice Potion. A repeat of last term wasn't something she wanted to even think about. Not that this was much better...
First things first, Kurumi picked up her quill and wrote down the list of ingredients and instructions.

Having done this, Kurumi went to the supply cabinet and gathered all the ingredients needed before heading back to her station and setting each bottle and quill up in a neat row in order of use. There, now she shouldn't make a mistake by grabbing the wrong ingredient while she brewed this potion. Making a mistake on this particular potion could prove to be a very VERY bad thing.
Removing her wand, Kurumi held it over her cauldron. "Scourgify," she said after giving it a small wave before moving on to her mortar and pestle next. "Scourgify." She cast the spell once more on each just to be safe. She really couldn't screw this potion up...her body was depending on her this time.

Brrr... Raven tried not to be nervous. She took a mortar and pestle. Eww... It was dirty.
"Scourgify!!"
Then she wore her gloves and took six fangs. Then she put it on the mortar.
Time to crush!!

Ok she thought time to add the crushed fangs to my cauldron. Minerva used a clean measurement to add the 4 measures of crushed fangs to her cauldron. She took an easy breath. She loved doing this. All the worries from the drama in her social life disappeared when she was doing potions.

Once it was confirmed, Evelyn purposefuly dropped her quill on the ground and bent down to pick it up, all the while spitting the petit four out. No boils for her, thank you. Sitting back up, she took out her wand to start cleaning the cauldron and area around her, as well as try vanishing the little cake thing before someone saw.
Mwah...that was better.
A few more "scourgify"s here and there and everything was clean as it could be. For now. Standing up, she kept her head down as she went to grab the necessary ingredients for the potion. Actually, she manged to get all the ingredients in one trip. Gotta love the locomotor charm.

Minerva looked at her parchment again. She needed to heat the mixture. Using her wand to heat the cauldron the mixture heated up nicely. She read over her notes and looked around to make sure she was keeping a good time.
Ira first touched her face... It did not seem that the boils had appeared yet. Thank Merlins! She must prepare this potion as soon as possible!
Ira took out her mortar and pestle and cleaned them thoroughly, "Scourgify!" Magic was especially useful at such times. Then wearing her gloves, she took 6 snake fangs and added them to the mortar to be crushed. She crushed them properly and looked at her parchment for next instructions

Okay, did he just hear that one right? By the end of class they'll be having ugly skin... with boils? That's just disgusting. Jonathan had never experienced any boils before, not even a pimple at his age. Jonathan looked really scared of what he just ate right now. Being poisoned sounded better right now than having boils at the end of the class. Jonathan cringed thinking about that.
Going on to the finals...
Jonathan copied what Lafay wrote on the board, before he started with the brewing. It's best if he has a copy for this, he might get it someday.... hopefully not!

After finishing copying the procedures for the potion. Jonathan is now ready for some Boil cure potion brewing. Yeah, better to have that ready before his skin gets filled with puss.
He went over to the cabinet and made sure that he took every ingredient needed for this potion brewing. As he went back to his table he took out his cauldron and his wand. "Scourgify" like always, one must know that before brewing anything, cleaning your stuffs is always the number one step. Lafay always liked it if things were clean.
He then took out the mortar and pestle and with his wand pointing "Scourgify" he cleaned it as well. He then washed his hands and dried it with his handkerchief. He looked at the parchment where he wrote the directions.

Kurumi's stomach was tying in knots and she wasn't sure if it had anything to do with whatever had been laced on the cake or not. Her mind was a powerful tool and she often made herself feel sick from over thinking. It was why she always broke out into rashes before Quidditch matches and Flying lessons...so it was very possible that she was making herself feel sick now. She itched her arm for a few moments as she read over the instructions again. Crushing snake fangs, got it.
First, Kurumi grabbed her goggles and put them on, soon followed by her dragonhide gloves. Safetly first, well, technically second since cleaning had come first. She then picked up her container of snake fangs and poured them into the mortar, picking up the pestle when she was done. Time to begin crushing. She would have tried to charm her mortar and pestle to do things for her, but she felt that she would have more control over what was happening if she did this by hand. The was, after all, a crucial assignment to do properly.
While she crushed, she took a glance around the room to see how everyone else was doing. Merlin was she glad that she had taken a seat close to Jonathan so she could see what he did and mimic his movements. He was much better at Potions than she was. After a bit more, the crunching sound of the pestle breaking the fangs into smaller bits became muffled and Kurumi took a peek at her mortar to see that they had been crushed into what could only be described as a greyish sand. That should do it.
Kurumi looked at her parchment again and was just about to add the four measures when...she wasn't sure about her step. Water first? Water after?
Peeking up again in Jonathan's direction, she waited to see what the future Potions Master would do.

Alyssa quickly noted down what the ingredients she needed to make the potion to cure her boils. She knew that she had to be accurate because she didn't want to have boils on her for the rest of the term.
Then she first took out her cauldron and used her wand to clean it by saying "Scourgify". She then filled the cauldron with water by pointing her wand Once she made sure her cauldron was clean, she put on her dragon hide gloves and went over to the cupboard where the Professor kept all her ingredients and picked up 6 Fang Snakes, 4 Horned Slugs, 2 Porcupine Quills, a vial full of Flobberworm Mucus and a handful of dried nettles. She brought them back to her workstation and made sure her desk was clean of all dust and dirt by using her wand again and saying "Scourgify". Now that she was sure that her work desk was clean, she placed the ingredients on it.
Now to start with making the potion. Alyssa checked her note journal:
Text Cut: "Alyssa's potion journal

2. Get ingredients - 6 Snake fangs, 4 Horned Slugs, 2 Porcupine Quills, Enough Flobber Worm mucus and a handful of Dried Nettles.
3. Clean mortar and pestle

5. Add 4 measures of the crushed fangs to your cauldron.
6. Heat the mixture.

Alyssa first made sure that her cauldron was still clean and it did but to be on the safe side, she took out her wand, pointed it at the cauldron and said "Scourgify". She repeated it for both the mortar and the pestle since she needed them cleaned too. Then she filled her cauldron with water by pointing her wand and using the"Aguamenti spell. She assumed that they needed to have water in the cauldron. She hoped she wasn't wrong. Then she holstered her wand and picked up the 6 Snake fangs and started crushing them until they turned into fine powder. She then picked up her measuring spoon and scooped up 4 measures into her cauldron. She then lit the cauldron burner and set the burner first on high to heat it and once it started to heat up quickly, she lowered it back down to medium high to keep the heat at a steady temperature. Alyssa then took out her wand, pointed it over the mixture and waved her wand in a backwards "x" over the cauldron, starting top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right to top-left, and said "Percurus". She then let the mixture brew. She checked her watch "80 minutes from now,"Alyssa reminded herself.

Reason: Please delete post. I am going to start again.
Ira looked over her notes and saw that she needed to cast a new spell Percurus. She wondered what it was for... Well, all that could be later, but now first, the potion!
As given in the instructions, she first waved her wand in a backwards "x" over the cauldron, then starting from top-right to bottom-left and then bottom-right to top-left, she cast the spell "Percurus"
Then it was simple. Just wait for the next 80 minutes for the potion to brew. Please..please God, just don't let the boils come on my face before these 80 minutes..., thinking so, Ira let her potion brew and updated her journal:

Ewww.
By the end of class they'd be covered in puss-filled boils?! Gross. Sierra was typically the kind of child that wasn't bothered by those sorts of things. She had a strong stomach and could usually take a lot, ...but puss-filled boils?!
She eyed her skin, which was already turning red, then decided the best thing for her to do now was get started and finished as quickly as possible. On that note, she put on all the necessary protective gear. No sense in getting burned or injured...or worse.

She started by retrieving some of the ingredients and taking them back to her work station. She of course cleaned all her tools and supplies next, and of course her cauldron. She didn't have time to start all over again. Then, one by one, she added the six snake fangs to the mortar. Once they were all in, she reached for the pestle and began crushing the snake fangs into a fine powder. For some reason, she'd always been fascinated by mixing potions ingredients together. She'd discovered that in her first year and wondered what she could possibly like about it so much since then.
Either way, she enjoyed watching the snake fangs break down into the fine powdery material. She peered down into her cauldron and thought to herself that something seemed to be missing. Hmm...water. That's it. She needed water. She aimed her wand into the cauldron and said, "Aguamenti!" She ended the spell once she had a cauldron full of water. Then she measured out an appropriate amount of the snake fangs and added them to her cauldron.

She then turned off the heat under the caldron before adding two Porcupine quills to the mixture. Once she was done, she picked up her stirring spoon and stirred the mixture making sure that she was stirring it in a clockwise direction. She stirred the mixture in a clockwise direction 5 times. Then she laid down her spoon.

Aurora took her wand and pointed it at her cauldron, muttering "Scourgify." She then used the same charm on the rest of her work area and equipment before collecting six snake fangs and placing them into her mortar. Taking her pestle she began to crush the fangs.

After a while, Alyssa lost track of where she was. "Darn it, I'm going to have to do this all over again." So she cleaned out her cauldron by using the Scourgify spell and once that was cleaned, she quickly checked her notes to make sure that she had everything right this time.

Okay she had cleaned her cauldron. Check. 'Now to get the ingredients I used up earlier.' Alyssa thought to herself. So she put on her dragon hide gloves and went over to the cupboard where the Professor kept all her ingredients and picked up 6 more Fang Snakes, 4 Horned Slugs, 2 Porcupine Quills and brought them back to her workstation and added them to the other ingredients.
