Well.

This was it. Her final Potions lesson with Professor Lafay ever. Destiny didn't know what to think as she made her way out of the Common Room and into the Potions classroom. Sure, she was excited to be finally leaving school, but then again, it was almost as if she wasn't ready to leave. She knew that there were a few people and Professor's who thought she wasn't ready either.

But, what could she do? Besides hide out with the house elves and have them adopt her as one of their own. She had thought about it, and realized she did not like those potato-sack wearing, big eyed creatures enough to do that.

Sighing to herself, Destiny put on a small smile as she passed Lafay. "Hello, Professor Lafay." she said, and taking a seat at the first empty station she came across, she plopped herself down on the stool. Ehh..she didn't even want to eat that thing that was in front of her.

Unless..was it chocolate!?

Picking it up, she held it under her nose to sniff it. Trying to be as secretive as she could.

*Walk/ being half dragged by Marie, Matty came to class. He wasn't the biggest fan of this class but lately it had started to grow on him. The potions professor scared him a bit... but as long as he was with Marie he would go anywhere. Taking a seat next to Marie he gave a kind smile and nod to the professor.*
"Hello Professor."
*Turning to Marie he gave her an big smile.*
"See, I'm here, and I'm happy. Let's brew up something... oh cake!-"
*Matty was about to make a move for some but stopped remembering where he was. Last thing he needed was to get poisoned or something.*

Well... this was it. Carter's last potions lesson... ever. No more armadillo bile... no more flobberworm mucus... and no more scary Professor. It should have been a cause for celebration! But all he could think about was how it meant that he was almost done with Hogwarts... almost done with his home.

He smiled weakly as he entered the class. "Hello Professor." he said. He eyed the cakes for a moment. Hmm... what were those about? He then headed for the seat next to Destiny. If the cake was poisoned he only trusted one person to test it first. And that person was Destiny. He greeted the girl with a nod... although, it probably went unnoticed. The snake was busy sniffing the cake.

Making her way down to the final lesson, Evelyn entered the classroom with a rather neutral expression as always but once Lafay was in line of view, she shoved a small smile on her face. Lafay looked different today though. Which was weird. Evelyn couldn't put her finger on it though.

"Good day Professor Lafay." she greeted, moving over to a seat nearby her friends, but also close to a dark corner. Yea, she felt like being in a dark corner, okay!? Eying the little treat on the table with the words 'Eat Me', the Slytherin girl raised a eyebrow, wondering what to do with it. That wasn't suspicious at all.

Nevertheless, she did push it forward and out of the way so she could make room for her notebook, quill, and ink. She rarely ate sweet things anyhow. Much less when given from a Slytherin.

Ashley hoped he wasn't late for the class, since he hadn't really bothered rushing for it. He wasn't really that worried about the time, though he still had that idea. He always thought that, as he traveled to classes, just in case perhaps they started early, or he got lost again, or something. Perhaps he was just still used to being lost and just barely making it places. This was probably something that was going to take a while to get over. As it was, he was fine, apparently, entering a room that didn't seem to have an ongoing class happening yet. "Hello, professor," he said before finding his place, setting his things down. He noticed the little treat sitting there, but wasn't sure what it was about. So he decided to just wait until it was explained, if it was going to be, instead of asking, busying himself instead with getting settled and ready for class.

Ryan walke down the Corridor and then into the Classroom.''Hello Proffessor Lafay,How are you doing.''He said with a cheerful mood.He walked in and sat down at an empty seat.This was his first Potions Lesson.

Luna walked into the classroom Cake?!?!?! wrong classroom.... Weird ''H-hello Proffeser Lafay!,'' I think...

Finally Potions class arrived. Jonathan kept waiting for this class to start and anticipating a lot for the final lesson. Jonathan is always eager to learn Potions. So he hurriedly went to classroom early to get a good seat, as always.

As soon as he entered the door the first person he saw was Professor Lafay.... smiling... WHY?! Should Jonathan be scared or worried about that? Lafay doesn't smile, that's why she's the dragon lady. Something really REALLY good must have happened.

"good day.....uhmm" he looked at her, yeah, she is after all smiling. ".... professor." he smiled back. Well, it was only right to. He sat down on the seat in front and as he put his bag on the side, his jaw dropped. Was he on the right place? Is this really Potions class? --- He must be dreaming this or something. Why was there a treat on the table?

Jonathan looked at the professor smiling and back to the treat. This is really..... weird. But still, is this chocolate though? Because Jonathan loves sweets.

Heck, Potions.. Again.

Beatrice pulled the strap of her backpack tightly around her shoulders as she walked down to the dungeons where their Potions Classroom was located. A few more steps down those stairs and she would be facing Professor Lafay again and maybe if she was in her usual mood, she was not very pleasant then the entire class who would be attending today would face her wrath.

As she faced the opened door, Beezus heaved a sigh. Brace yourself, she said in her mind. Then she walked inside slowly, with eyes focused on the floor. She looked around at the classroom and noticed that a few students were already there and there were...was that cake...on the tables? Including hers? What just happened? Did the house elves made a mistake and believed that their Potion tables were tables in the Great Hall?

Then she felt someone beside her, and she turned around to see Professor Lafay smiling beside the door. WAIT--smiling ? Beatrice tried to stop her mouth from opening widely but sadly failed at the attempt. "P-p-professor...?" She muttered, moving her lips in the slightest. If that was a greeting, she did not know. It was more likely an inquiry. An inquiry if the woman at the door was actually their Professor for this subject.

Ahh, Potions class. What a relief. It was one of the very few classes Sierra could manage to sit through without getting annoyed not even once. It helped that Professor Lafay was her favorite, and it also helped that Potions was a subject Sierra was pretty good at. A random thought of Treyen played through her mind just then. They hadn't worked on their potion all school year, had they? She wondered if he'd gotten further along in his research than she had in hers.

Hmm. Maybe she should owl him after class and find out for herself. She wouldn't want a Puffer succeeding before her, after all.

Her thoughts came back to Potions class as she pushed open the door and stepped inside. She picked up on Lafay's smile right away and gave her a small smile in return. "Hey," she half-whispered, speaking by instinct alone. "I mean," ... "hello," she added, an instant later. She gave the professor a second smile and then bee-lined for her usual seat.

A green sparkle came from her left hand, and the potions' Mistress got distracted and removed what seemed like a ring from her finger and placed it in her desk drawer. No sense in it getting messy with the potion brewing today.

Her smile stayed on her lips while her eyebrows rose. "I thought for sure you'd be the first to brave the pastry." She said to him and noticed his face. Evelyn must have turned him down. "Remember what I told you... I was the other fish." He gaze went up to the rest of the students filing into her classroom.

"I am well, Miss Wheatborn" She said watching her.

"I am doing well, Miss Gardiner, thank you for asking." She said with a nod. Nope... she didn't eat it either.

"Hello Miss Burton," she said and although the girl was staring at the sweet, she too did not eat.

"Good day to you Miss Dupont." She said with a nod.

"Hello Miss Stewart-Quinn" She greeted.

"Miss Carter-Hope, Hello." She said and started rubbing her left hand with her right... felt bare now...

"I am well... Mr. Watson" Hecate said smiling.

Oh come on! If she couldn't count on Gryffindors to be brave... then who?

"Good day, Master Gert." She said.

"Hello Miss Blackthorne," She said with a nod.

"Hello, Miss Skylar." She told the girl. She seemed hungry, yet she wasn't eating.

"Yes... a nice think layer of dark chocolate gnash in the middle..." She smiled. It was the truth.

"Good Day Miss DeCour" She said.

"It is indeed, Master Goldstein" she said and watched the boy ponder over the sweet.

"Good day, Prefect Hollingberry." She said and moved to the next person. These Gryffindors were letting her down.

"Good say Master Escalante." She said.

"Hello Miss Remora," She greeted.

"Miss Potter, it is good to have you... in... my class..." Odd... that actually felt sincere... She hated children... she had never wanted to be a professor... Now she saying it was good to have students in her class?

"Hello Master Montcenaggio." Finally! Someone eating the sweet. "Thank you for living up to expectations. You are a very brave boy."

"Good day Miss Charlotte" She said.

"I am doing well, thank you Miss Fairfield." She answered

"Hello Miss Wilson," she said.

"It is indeed a gorgeous morning, Miss Salazar." She said.

Hecate was smiling as the girl picked it up to smell it. "Miss Shepard, I am surprised at you," she said shaking her head. "If I had laced that sweet with a potion, you better believe it would be odorless and tasteless, so that the cake would remain delicious. I am a very good potioneer."

"Hello Master Gabben..." She said watching the boy sit.

"Hello Captain Phillips," she said smiling.

"Hello Prefect Flores," She nodded.

"Hello Master Moon" she said.

"Hello Master Pictor" She greeted.

"Hello Miss Kieren" she said with a nod.

"Good day Master Kim." She said.

"Yes Miss Castell?" She asked. "You may eat the cake, if that's what you were asking."

"Miss Greingoth." She said giving her a look. What was this Hey stuff the girl was starting to do... "Hello."

"Well, it seems only Master Montcenaggio was brave enough to try the cake... it is true. I've laced the cake with something will alter his appearance by the end of the class... but the potion will make him return to normal. You may chose not to eat the cake, though you will only receive half the points. So, dig in..." She said and took a petit four and ate it herself.

At least he wasn't the only one cautious around the sweet, even those of her own house. And then Lafay called out the second year Gryffindor who had been brave enough to do it without prompting. To Gideon it wasn't a matter of bravery but the fact that one sometimes had to be cautious especially around Slytherin potions mistresses that seemed out of their normal behavior...not that it was a bad thing. He of all people knew that even those that weren't the nicest normally could have a change of heart...his father was a perfect example since outside his family he was rather distant.

So the sweet was tainted...it would serve William right though apparently it was expected of them. Even Lafay was joining the experiment so Gideon looked at the petit four once more. Here goes nothing, he mused to himself briefly wondering what effect would be caused as he ate the cake.

What?

His dark browns getting wider a little bit as a reaction to the woman's words, Josh quickly looked down at the little cake thing...then back at the woman. ''I am sorry, professor. I did not mean to fail you. I'm just...'' not really myself. He could not complete the sentence though seeing the certain Slytherin girl had walked in. What had happened had seriously took away a lot from the boy's usual confidence and spirits but yes...he remembered what she had said so maybe it was really time to look for other options instead of being in pain for the loss.

''I...also...thought it might be an important ingredient or something to be used later or something....like that.''

Whatever...since the woman had made it clear that the little pastry was to be eaten, the Gryffindor picked it up and threw it in his mouth. Well...it tasted pretty good and maybe the rest of this class might be that good as well.

And the other fish...the lion boy looked around as he enjoyed the nice flavour. Were there any of those fishes around?

''Fishes, fishes, hmmm?''

What was that--something on Professor Lafay's hand, was it? But she put it away before Violet could get more than a glimpse. Was that...a ring?! Maybe that had something to do with the professor's unusually good mood. Well, Violet wasn't going to question their good fortune.

Oh, Merlin, Violet hoped there would be no more silly appearances forced on them--that seemed to be a theme this term, but she had not expected it from Professor Lafay. Maybe it wouldn't be...too ridiculous. She was still reluctant to eat a strange cake, especially now that she definitely knew there was something in it, but she was not about to get only half points this late in the semester, not when she was doing so well. At least they were eating something that, from William's expression, was apparently good. And if Professor Lafay had eaten one herself, it couldn't be too bad (or could it?) Besides, she was pretty confident that she would be able to brew the potion correctly that would turn her back to normal.

Gingerly, she picked up the small, pretty cake, admired it for a few more seconds, then carefully took a small bite. Hmmm, it was pretty delightful--even better than the desserts her grandfather had had for her elder uncle's birthday that time (and that was saying something). Slowly, bite by bite, she consumed the rest of the cake.

She did poison it? Auggie looked at the one boy who had eaten the cake and sneered behind his hand. Too bad for him. Why would you ever eat anything in the Potions classroom. There was no telling what could have spilled on it. He felt bad for the boy though.

His sneer changed to a look of shock however when Professor Lafay told them they all had to eat it of lose half of their points. August did not want anything unnatural to happen to him, and after hearing about Lafay's track record with harming students...he was pretty nervous. Looking at her, daggers in his eyes, he ate the cake slowly, not bothering to eat the crumbs.

Scribbling down random things in her notebook, keeping her head down for the time being until the actual lesson started, the Slytherin took a quick peak up and over to the young Gryffindor who apparently at the cake. That Will kid, wasn't he? And just as she suspected, there was something wrong with the sweet treat.

However, regardless of the fact she'd be losing half the points, Evelyn was rather tired of having her appearance changed. She let the pastry sit there on the table, untouched, and went back to scribbling stuff in her notebook. If drawing circles counted as 'scribbling'.

Alyssa noticed that the Professor had quickly removed what looked like a ring from her left hand.'Is the Professor engaged? Oh I do hope so. She deserves to be happy,'Alyssa thought to herself.

Then she heard Professor Lafay tell them that her suspicions were correct and that the cake was tainted but now she was asking them to eat it. Alyssa sighed and hoped that she did well on their next potion making lesson because she definitely did not want to look like anything other than herself. So taking a deep breath, she picked up the cake, closed her eyes and ate it. 'Here goes,' she thought to herself as she swallowed it.

Minerva gasped as William ate the sweet. She watched concerned as he sat down next to her. Then something distracted her. Did the professor take a ring off her finger? Maybe that is why she is so happy today. She went to turn back to William when Professor Lafay told them that William would change by the end of class. She was really concerned now. She looked at him again and was about to put her hand on his shoulder when Professor Lafay told them to eat the cake. She trusted the professor, well she thought she did. So she did what she was told and ate the cake without thinking twice.

The cake was cute. Indiana liked Alice in Wonderland. But right now, she was not thinking about Alice in Wonderland, but more what would change in her appearence when she ate the pastry. Hmm. Well. The professor was eating the treat, so Indy figured that it could not be anything that bad. Surely their Professor would not eat something that was going to poision her. That made Indiana feel better, so she picked up the treat, and took a bite of it. Mmm. It tasted yummy. Although she was still a little concerned about what may change, but that would be found out later.

She was half afraid and she really wanted some so... Right emmm?

Oooooh something shiny..? Was it a ring..? An ENGAGEMENT ring?! Was EVERYONE getting married all of a sudden? Hmm... it might not be an engagement ring... Nah, probably not...

But she was being especially nice today...

Hmm, that was something to wonder about...

Now then, down to the cake. They had something in them..? Hmm. Well, Aurora trusted Professor Lafay and popped her cake into her mouth.

TASTY!!!!

Cake was always good, but this cake was very good! But what would it do to her..?

" Thank you" Wiliam told the professor. William starts to feel funny now. .

Well, of course it'd been a Gryffindor. None of the Slytherins, except maybe Destiny, were trusting enough to immediately try the cake. Sierra had ignored the treat, but not because she didn't trust Lafay--oh, she trusted Lafay alright; but she also knew that for the lesson's purpose, the cake might be a...how could she put it? Tool for hands-on learning? Yes, that was it.

...and, again because she trusted Lafay, she also knew that once she ate this cake, she'd be eventually healed from whatever would plague her. Lafay eating a piece herself had also sealed the deal--Sierra would definitely eat a piece, too. She shrugged, reached for a piece of cake, and then popped it in her mouth.

Carter eyed the little cake. Then poked it. Then snatched it up and stuffed it in his mouth. It was... alright. Not cheesecake. But... he was hungry. He hadn't eaten in nearly 2 hours.

He glanced over at Destiny. "Are you going to eat yours?" he asked.

Ehh... maybe taking two spiked cakes was a bad idea. Hopefully this didn't end up like the time that his hair was pink.

Ariana walked into the lesson.. "Hello Professor!" it didnt seem like the lesson had started yet. She saw a little sweet cake on the desk of the teacher and noticed a few other students eating some so Ariana helped herself. "Thank you professor. Im not sure what this cake will do to me but im sure it'll be a fun lesson!" the seemingly bubbly Ariana said to the professor before skipping to a seat in the middle of the room.
