The ancient schooner stands tall in the dark water, although there is a definite list to the mast and sails that belie its age. After all these years hidden in or around the lake, the ship is in remarkably good condition, although the lower decks drip with water and something rather green and slimy. If not for the age and apparent solitude of the ship, it would appear the crew had just departed, even going so far to leave the gangplank lowered to provide access to the main deck.
The main deck is cluttered in a way no captain would approve. Bits of knotted rope, lank strands of the shredded sail, and abandoned cannon balls that seem to have taken root to the deck would have tripped up a sailor in bygone days. They are the only artifacts left of those hearty men now. A rope ladder twists uselessly in the rigging - wonder if the crow's nest can still be reached?
Just a few steps above the main deck, the steering wheel is knotted into place with a moldy length of rope. It's impossible to know where these sailors were headed, but they've been sailing in one direction for a very long time indeed. Propped against the railing behind the wheel is a marlinespike, a nasty pointed thing that was someone's weapon or tool... or both.
Beneath the quarterdeck, a gaping doorway leads to the captain's quarters. Decrepit maps, a rusted quadrant, and a compass sit on the captain's desk, but the most interesting artifact is probably the old tricorne hat propped against the chair. Wherever the man went, his head is bare. The bed and wardrobe in the corner could give you more clues about the man who lived here, but the best clue is the log book folded closed on the chair - Captain's Log for the Dead Wizard's Trove.
Below the main deck, you will find the hold and sailor's quarters. Kegs of powder are scattered with a few ancient gold coins, Galleons by the look of them, but there is no further indication as to what the ship once carried. Was the ship a merchant ship? Privateers? Or pirates?

Okay. She had waited a huge amount of time, but her curiosity reached a peak, so Ariadne simply HAD TO go on the old ship and check it out with her own eyes. The tiny Gryffindor was very interested in the story behind this mysterious appearance ever since she had read the Daily Prophet the summer before.
She walked on board carefully. Looking around, she noticed a lot of students walking around, exploring. Ari wondered if any of her friends were there, since she needed to join one of the groups, not wanting to explore all by herself.
"Not a long time. Just a little while", he said smiling. "I just hear it from everyone and find it out from everywhere", he told Jade. Cody took Jade's hand and smiled at her again. They climbed down some stairs into a room.
Cody was right it wasn't that long after all but Jade had missed Cody. "Well I like it," Jade smiled. As Cody took Jade's hand she blushed... she hated it when she blushed. They started climbing some stairs and there was a room. They walked slowly inside to explore.
She could tell that Chris was trying to cheer her up and he was doing a pretty good job at it. She listened to him and chuckles softly. "Yeah, it has been a long time hasn't it? I guess just the thought of knowing that I'm related to a monster like him just has me on edge a little bit." She rubs her arm then crosses her legs and put her hands on the table leaning foward a little bit and she sighs. "It's the little things in life that tend to bother you."
"Yeah, that's understandable. You just have to remind yourself that you are nothing like him. Not in the least." Christopher smiled reassuringly at the snake. He had tell himself this a lot. Of course it was never directed towards someone like Voldemort, but he still could give the advice from personal experience.
"Really? I find the little things in life are the things that truly make us smile, things we really appreciate. But then gain, I'm just annoyingly optimistic." He grinned, happy to was the tension of te previous conversation. Even after nearly a century, dear old Voldy left a dark mark on families.
"Its nice to meet you too Carter" she smiled, chuckling she stopped 'cleaning' which she wasn't too fond of doing. Atleast there wasn't a loose rope to trip on.
"Yeah he's here" she remarked quietly, "he was the first person on the ship after Vindictus" Kyle explained quietly. Hoping he didn't realize what she had said fully unaware that he had.
Kyle chuckled, when Caroline told her she said that out loud well it was a good laugh none the less. "Well, at least i didn't yell it" Kyle remarked with a laugh that would have been even more embarrassing. "Yes, exploring sounds great" Kyle smiled, wondering where to go. It seemed everyone had already picked through the upper decks pretty well, maybe down below?
Who knew it all seemed like it would be oh so much fun.

"Absolutely. That sounds great." he said agreeing. Exploring a pirate ship sounds like tons of fun. "Do you think there's any old cannons on board?" he asked.
Ehh... who cared that it may not even be a pirate ship. There just had to be something exciting on board.
Caroline smiled sheepishly toward Kyle. They had just had this Conversatiuon about Simon just earlier this morning. She nodded. "That's true. Good th.ing you didn't yell it." she chuckled, if she would have yelled it while that would be bad. Oh now she seen why Kyle was so eager to go explore the ship now. Okay, really maybe the fact the Simon was onboard was one of the reasons Kyle wanted to to explore the ship or go look for Simon but it was cute.
Caroline nodded with a grin this was going to be so much fun. Taking Carter's hand and they walked around the deck a bit. She lookede up and smiled at him. The letter that Marie had read out loud to her earlier that day started ringing in her ears. The smile that was on her face slighty dropped. But it formed again when she caught sight of a cannonball on the deck.
"Well I don't about cannons but there are alot cannon balls." She laughed, walking up to one she bent down, and trying to pick it up. It her suprise they were a little on the heavy side but she managed to get it. "Merlin it's heavy." She tossed in around in her hands she wanted to keep it.

" Why don't you come down here ?" William asked Ariadne. " I like to search the ship with someone I know from Gryffindor" William said to Ariadne.

Sarah wanted to check this one out. She wasn't so much "Gryffindor Type" yet she was so interested in knowing what was in there. The sight of the ship scared her a bit, but she plucked up the courage to go near it, as well, climbed into it. She saw a bunch of students investigating. She spotted William. "Hey!" she called to him. "Mind if I join you?" she asked.

Cody could see the steering whell of the ship. It was a huge wheel and so old and dusty. "So do I", he repiled with a smile. N'aww, Cody found when Jade blushed, it was so cute. "I could spend a whole day in here", he said to Jade.

" I am pretending to be a pirate and am looking for gold on this ship" William said to Sarah. " Be good or ye walk the plank" William used his pirate voice, then laughed.

Ariadne turned around to see where the voice came from. Ah! 'William! Hi...Sure, if you don't mind.' the girl said and walked closer to where her housemate was exploring. She didn't mind what houses people belonged to, but she did have a slight preference when it came to her housemates, hehe. 'Sooo...what exactly are we doing?' she asked, wondering what they should be looking for.

Ari turned her attention to a girl she vaguely remembered seeing in the Gryffindor Common Room. 'Hi, as William said, we'd be glad if you joined us.' Being friendly was something Ariadne had to get used to, but it was going rather well so far. 'I am Ariadne Marchbanks, pleased to meet you. And you are?' the brunette asked the girl and extended a hand for her to shake.

Kyle couldn't help but chuckle when Caroline tried to pick up the heavy cannon ball. She dusted herself off, smiling still. "Good thing indeed" she said with a chuckle, and a good thing she didn't hurt herself on the boat, because he would probably not have been all too happy about her being on a dangerous place like this especially after he had caught her at the treehouse the other day. Right she should tell them about that.
"Did I tell you I fell off the treehouse the other day?" Kyle admitted sheepishly, with a coy smile. "I'll have to tell both of you about it later - when not...you know on a boat full of students who could...spread what happened like wild fires" she ruffled her hair as she said this - nervous. Well, she currently was nervous that is.
"Anyways - um where do you two want to explore?" She asked, as she walked around she began counting cannon balls so far she'd seen five on the deck. Maybe it wasn't the safest thing to be on a boat full of cannon balls? Maybe it had been shot and one of the cannon balls was a portkey and then poof you touch it and you are off in the midlde of some ocean millions and millions of miles away. She chuckled - that was over kill. She needed to be more realistic. Less of a dreamer.

"I think left luv, We want to explore yes, but we also want to be looking for a safer way out than that hatch and I think the Cargo hold stairs might be the way to go. They're to the left on the Drumstrang ship." He explained softly. Connor wasn't a take charge kinda guy really but the fifth year was among the eldest in the group and he felt responsible for making sure the ladies were safe. Even the annoying one that was clinging onto Sierra for dear life, which made Connor really want to throw her over his shoulder and cart her up to the deck and throw her overboard. He caught Sierra's eye and rolled his pretty blues at the annoying one.

"Oh." He had no idea that Sierra and Alex were kind of having issues with each other, and he certainly didn't fell like finding out why or trying to get involved in any way. That's why he pretended to look away, not that Sierra would notice, unless her wand was lighting up his way.
Speaking of...
...ways.
The Prefect nodded towards the boy that recently joined them and said, "I agree, left." Not because of the Durmstrang ship, or because what might be found, but the coolest things always happened after turning many times, like on a maze. So...maybe they'll find something else?
And...wait. Why did the boy mention Durmstrang?

"Thank you so much, Sierra! I would grovel and go down on my knees if I could--oh Miss Sierra, how kiiiiiind of you! You know, I was facing hardships and enduring emotional paaaain before I met you, did you know that?! But you led me to the light, Misses Sierra--I would never be able to repay your acts of kindness toward me--NEVER! A mere orphan I was, till you found me, Sierra, till you found meeeeee," she sang the last bit and almost went teary-eyed at her own words.
"I say left. My instincts tell me so." Most of the time her instincts were wrong.
Did he just call her love?
Sierra hated when people used certain terms of endearment for her. It made her feel like a little child, which she definitely was not. She may only be twelve, but she wasn't two. In the darkness of the ship, she eyed the older Slytherin. She didn't say much, though, because he'd sort of redeemed himself with the Puffer comment.
Hmm...what to think of you, Connor?
"You know," she said, looking first to Connor and then to the others in their group, "I'm sort of all for finding a way out of this ship, too." She'd came, saw, and sort of conquered, and now she was kind of ready to just head back. "Let's just see where going left leads us to first." She pointed her wand in the left direction and started walking.
She looked at Treyen, thinking maybe he was about to ask something else about she and Alex, but he never did. Down here in the darkness of the ship, she felt confident enough to let her guards down just a little, and she gave him the tiniest of appreciative looks. He'd agreed with her about heading left, and left they were already heading, so she let talk of Alex drop, too.
...and then there was another outburst from Lola.
"Lola!" Sierra snapped, for what felt like the nine millionth time. "If you're going to cling to me like some leech, then at least take things down a notch or two. You know, maybe to a dull roar instead of a yell?" The dramatics didn't stop, though. Sierra rolled her eyes and released a soft sigh. "You know, Lola? The very best thing you can do for our friendship right now...is to just be quiet."
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

She was starting to get a headache.
Oakey woke up from his nap... Why did I fall asleep Oakey said to himself. This was not the place to fall asleep in. He got up from the dirt covered floor and adjusted his newly obtained hat.
Lumos Oakey casted lighting the tip of his wand again. He saw a group of older kids gathered around one another and recognized one as a Slytherin from the green she was wearing... What was today again Oakey thought to himself.
OH YEAH!
Oakey quietly walked up to the girl and gave her a nice big squeeze! HAPPY HUG A SLYTHERIN DAY! He yelled.
Oakey rushed to the exit of the lower decks and booked it up the stairs. It was getting late he should leave the ship. Old ships at night were not a good mix.

Carter smiled as he walked hand-in-hand with Caroline. "Oh. Can't wait to hear it." he said. It sounded like it would be a good story. Really, any story that began with 'did I tell you...' usually meant it was going to be a good story.
He chuckled lightly as he watched Caroline struggle to lift the cannon ball. "You probably shouldn't be playing with it if it's so heavy." he said. Imagine if she dropped it! Carter nervously went over and took it from her. No broken toes for her.
"We can go see what's down below." he suggested. "Maybe there's a kitchen..." Ohhh! What if there was food down there. "I wonder what pirates eat..." he wondered out loud.
His eyes then widened. What if there was a parrot room? Pirates had to have a room where they kept their parrots, right?
Really, it made total sense. Although, they still hadn't found out if it was a pirate ship or not. But Carter was determined to find this out. He also hoped there were parrots in the parrot room still.
Now he really wanted to explore below deck.

YES! Down below sounded more and more appealing by the minute really, especially since maybe she'd get an idea about - oh what would be down there? She thought her thoughts changing almost too quickly for her own self to keep up. But she knew why she didn't want to go blurting anything out - not like she had when she was with Caroline days earlier when she had nearly yelled that she liked Simon.
Embarrassing if that happened on a boat that he was on. And he was on board too and would probably here and that would be even more embarrassing as he'd know that what Hannah had hinted to was true. "Maybe, I'd rather love finding a Parot - I'd probably try and see if it talked...or what language it talked - maybe they could tell us about the ship" one could dream couldn't they? "Don't think i'd want to test whatever's left in the Kitchen...could be," she shuddered "disgusting" and it probably was.
She walked over to where everyone was heading down below deck, and smiled. It would be nice to head down there right? She thought as she looked down into the darker area, wipping out her wand she cast the light spell sending the orb out ahead of her as she had learned a few years before at Beauxbatons. It was dark, and she still couldn't see well. What was down there? She thought gulping slightly.

Okay, so that was a bust. Noah couldn't stop himself pouting as he left the captain's quarters, and his eyes rested on one person.
DELILAH!
And yeah, you can imagine that all hissy and evil, but that was what it sounded like so it's not like it would be EXAGGERATED or anything.
With a little 'hmph', Noah skirted away, out of sight of his cousin, and made his way off of the ship. He didn't want to talk to her right now... she was just really shrill and... well... a total girl.

Nika decided to look around some more on the ship after Nessie had left. Maybe she would be able to find some more Slytherins to hug! So far nine were hugged and she planned on getting everyone that was in the house. She noticed a slytherin talking to another student and decided to take the opportunity to hug her. She walked up to the girl and gave her a hug before slowly backing away. Consider yourself hugged snake. And that's ten.
In the near-darkness of the lower level of the ship, Sierra heard a new voice, a voice belonging to someone she didn't quite recognize from speech alone (Connor). She turned her head at an angle, studying the illuminated figure from the light of her wand. Hmm. No one she knew, although, she was almost sure she'd seen this boy in the Slytherin common room.
Excellent. A snake. This ship needed a few more of her kind roaming around. "Well, I'm not cleaning it," she responded. Not unless it ended up being a class assignment like the two Vinny Boy had given them last term. It occurred to her that she had several questions about the ship, but she didn't ask any of them. Admitting she didn't know something was like admitting failure, and she hated admitting failure.
"We can either go straight," she said, illuminating one path with her wand, "or left." She illuminated that path, as well, and then turned back to the group. That was when Treyen decided to bring up Sierra's Puffer Brother, Alex. She froze in place for a few seconds, trying to decide whether she wanted to roll her eyes, give him a glare, yell, or do all three. In the end, though, she just gave a small sigh. "My brother and I," she said, her voice rather flat, "aren't speaking right now." That was just all she'd say about that. Her spat with Alex was more than just sibling rivalry. Battle lines had been drawn and things just weren't good between them right now.
...and then, of course, Lola had to start in. Having Lola pipe in with all her nonsense just wasn't good right after she'd been reminded about her destroyed relationship with Alex. Again, Sierra wasn't sure how to react--roll her eyes, glare, yell? Sigh again? This time, she went with an eye roll. "Really, Lola? Really?" she said, not really asking a question that needed to be answered. "Fine. You can stay with me--stay with all of us." Just please, for the love of Merlin, stop the dramatics!
...nice? Well, now that was an adjective she rarely heard used to describe her.
"Straight ahead, or left?" she asked the group again.
Straight or left? More decisions. Geeeez.
And Ellie didn't know. Again. She didn't know, she didn't care, as long as it wasn't towards whatever 'boom' that Lola girl was going on about.
Maybe they should go back, actually, if there were 'boom's.
SPOILER!!: Connor

Oh hiii person she didn't know. Apparently he knew Sierra, though.
Out. Yeah. That sounded good. Yeah. Useful boy.
Was he from Durmstrang, then? If he knew the ship? It made Ellie wonder exactly what the ship was for at Durmstrang. It's obviously not the school itself, but...during the year, what's it for? Curious.
SPOILER!!: Treyen

He didn't know why Ellie always thought of Jacob as some sort of lunatic, Treyen always saw him as a normal guy, and he was pretty normal all the way to Hogwarts.
Stupid Lola. It was thanks to her that Ellie thought the question wasn't meant for her, but Treyen didn't care, he'll ask again, right? "I was actually asking you, Ellie, what made you get on the ship?" because if she'd been worried about the thing sinking, and now exploding, well then, she wouldn't have got on it in the first place.
Yeah, well, at least they could agree on one thing. Lola was a strange kid.
"There was no boom, seriously," this was said with his eyes to Lola, so, by all means, Ellie, don't take it personally.
Text Cut: Sierra and Connor
Cleaning what? No one was cleaning anything. But that would make a very nice detention.
"Exactly." Ellie nodded. Except, Jacob wasn't really a pirate. He was just insane and liked to think he was. So, this ship definitely wasn't his.
Oh okay, uhm. Why did she come on the ship?
"I was curious..." And familiar people were on it. And she didn't want to be left out, obviously. "And you?" Similar reason, she'd presume.
SIGH. Ellie SIGHED. With relief. And she GLARED at Lola. It was SO NOT funny to joke about a 'boom' on a ship that was obviously falling apart.

I am deeply offended, and I believe you owe me a nice, long apology--all friends make those nice, big apologies, don't they?!" She completely tried to ignore how he mentioned that they were merely "acquaintances" and tried not to burst out into laughter because well--
They were friends. It was so simple. The boy was blind. Such simple things.
"Movies?" She sighed, trying to think up of movies--"No movies, yet--I've been in some of those Muggle commercials for those toilet adv--I MEAN," she coughed trying to hide it all up, "you know--luxury ads with those gold, big watches and laaaaaaannnnjarrrraaaay" (which in her mind was how the French had said it and it was an obvious lie, for she was both too young and not fit enough (YET) for those adult commercials.
"I've been in plays though! Last year, I was in the Warlock's Hairy Heart--I played the Hairy Heart of course," she said with pride and dignity.
"Train? You were named after the Express?" She opened her mouth in surprise, "It's such a beautiful name." She envied the boy now, sighing and sighing all too dramatically and then raising her head up when he asked his next question. "No, I'm not Muggleborn. I do take interest in those Muggles though!--they're just so simply amazing, and I admire their movies and plays and famous actresses and SHAKESPEARE--that Muggle man was genius, I tell you Train, geeenieeee-us."
She breathed but wanted to continue talking, "Of course, I will, Train. This ship puts the 'ship' in FRIENDSHIP."
First, she giggled at her own humor.
Giggled some more.
Then she laughed out loud, creating a bizarre mixture of snorting and giggling--very feminine if you asked her.
"I'm hilarious, aren't I Train? High-LAAAAARIOUS!" She stopped, going serious for a moment or so.
"Laugh," she ordered brutally.
Lola immediately took great interest in how this girl reacted to her simple, sly, and clever lie. "What are you talking about? Of course there was a boom! Didn't you hear it? It was loud. Merlin! It could've been another ship out there if you ask me."
What started as a small and simple lie soon became a very serious matter that Lola took--seriously. She again, pointed her wand towards the girl, but now directed right at her ear, where Lola tried to begin navigating for mass amounts of earwax. "I heard it, I'm suuuuuuuure, I heaaaard it."
But of course, she remembered that she didn't want to scare off her friend and she reduced the creepiness level, bringing down her wand, but continuously harassing the girl, breathing down her neck as she did with Sierra before and muttering, "Boom boom boooooom..." each new boom with more eeriness in her voice~
"MERLIN! There it went again."
"REALLY!" she answered, but immediately went quiet as she glanced at the others, hoping she didn't make so much noise (if she hadn't already).
My instincts tell me so." Most of the time her instincts were wrong.
...She needed to stop calling him 'Train', this girl. Seriously. Ellie couldn't fathom a guess as to why he just let it be. That was degrading, no? To be called a mode of transportation? Or that leftover fabric on the back of a wedding dress? Though, the former was a lot more masculine.
Eye roll. "There was NO boom. TreYEN said so." So...HMPH.
Merlin. Was she 'boom'ing now? No. Like Ellie would really believe her now.
Eye roll.

Caroline shook her head, poor Kyle always tripping or falling. "You alright?" She asked, which was kind of obvious she wasn't in the Hospital wing. or maybe she did. She needed at hero to watch after her. Aw it sounded like she did have hero. Something told her that it was Simon who saved her. Just because of the I'll tell you later was enough indication to her that he was part of her story. "Okay, I want to hear the details." She giggled and winked
She was tossing the cannonball lightly in her hands, When, hey! did he just take her cannonball? but that was her cannonball. Oh, yeah that maybe unsafe and verry dangerous. She had no desire to be carried to the hospital wing again becasue of an injury to her foot or that case ankle."Yeah, you're probably right." She frowned and decided that they should go and explore something else besides the deck.
Below sounded nice until Carter mentioned the kitchen and asked what kind of food did pirates eat. Leave it to Carter to bring up food anywhere they went. "I don't know, but I don't think that they ate cheesecake. Sorry babe." She teased. That boy was obsessed with three four things her chessecake, football, and quidditch. They would have to go to the kitchens so she could make him her special smores chessecake one day. Enough talk of cheesecake she was getting hungry now.
Shrugging "I wonder what else is down here?" She asked as she followed Kyle down below deck.
Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - ❄ Lunar Library Lurker ❄ - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror
Simon had reached the bow of the ship as he continued to explore, his lit wand moving slowly back in forth in front of him to light the ground and immediate area around him so he could see what was around and also not trip in the process. He still had to lift and place his feet carefully for the below deck was just as messy as above and the last thing he needed was to trip and fall either knocking himself or covering himself in debris in the process.
Rounding the central poles that ran the center of the ship to support the wood above, the seventh year was facing back where the hatch and stairs were just as first Carter and company started to descend. Though in truth he couldn't make out faces still a distance away in the dusty area but the voices sounded familair causing him to look up in that direction.
Kyle could see more light below deck and knew someone was down there, carefully she put one step on the stair it creaked. She winced. She didn't exactly want to fall through the stairs or anything - after all she was a very tentative person. In most of her life really it really didn't help her trying to be careful. After three steps down she sneezed which only seemed to expedite her decent - she didn't trip or fall really, only slipped down the stairs landing flat on her feet.
What am I now gracefully clumsy? She thought laughing her usual laugh the one that everyone at the school would have heard when she'd fallen down the stairs before since it was a common occurrence. "Yeah i'm fine," she turned back to Caroline quickly and spoke in a hushed tone - still it was filled with laughter as her tone of voice normally was.
Still she had no idea that the other person in that hull area with her right now, was Simon. This, was going to be interesting especially since Carter now knew by that fluke incident of her saying don't trip out loud. At least she didn't say that now.
She blinked her eyes adjusting to the light, all she could make out was that the person was in fact a full fledged person - and exactly her height. Still, it didn't sink in.

"And I never plan to be like Voldemort. I saw a picture of him and-" she shivers. "I can't believe that I am actually related to him. But anyways, enough of my dark family past. How are you and Violet doing?"
Christopher completely understood. If that man (if you could even call him that) wasn't just horrible in personality and actions. His face was so..... mutilated. His eyes were a bright scarlet, slitted nostrils..... The lion shuddered with her. It was hard not to.
"Oh..... We're..... Erm....." The young boy didn't know how to describe how he and Violet were. They got along just fine, but with Selina's cousin Nathan trying to rip them apart, he wasn't sure how long it would last. Any of it. He attempted to describe it to Elektra, but he wasn't so sure how that would go over, so he ended up doing the best he could.
