Kyle looked up to the little Gryffindor who had walked over to her. Raising an eyebrow almost inspecting him. Aah it was that little boy who had flirted with everyone in Diagon Alleys he considered biting her lip she shook her head.

"I don't think I know your cousin - and yeah, I'm Kyle...its really Kyleigh Elizabeth Manning - but Kyle's good...more well...i mean less girly-girl? You know?" She rambled a bit.

Hugo sighed. It was quite sad he didn't know anyone in his own house. Then again, were there even any Ravies in his year? He took some chicken and ripped a little wing off it with his teeth. Quite good. Sipping his pumpkin juice, he looked over to the staff table. There were quite some new teachers, unfortunetely Lafay was still there. Hugo squinted his eyes for a bit... Hold on, Lord Berty Borr was their new DADA teacher? From what he had heard and seen over the summer, that guy was bursting with his own arrogance and quite too important to be a teacher. But he wasn't there. The herbology teacher who was talking to Vindictus seemed a Ravenclaw. Awesome! And then Hugo looked at the Transfiguration seat. This "Shaw" wasn't present either. Whayyyy, he liked professor Magnus so much, why did they have to get another teacher? It was only when he noticed him talking to himself in his head that he noticed he should get to know some more Ravenclaws. He was lonely in this house.

Jeanne just started taking food from the tale and onto her plate. She ate quietly and was just looking around at the students. First day of term is tomorrow. That's not great at all. Even for a Ravenclaw, going to school and doing homework is still such a hassle. Not that she's complaining or anything.



When she looked to her side she saw a guy sitting alone like she did. He was looking at the staff table mostly. Glancing back and forth. Since Jeanne was new, why not try making new friends and having a fresh start with everyone. She scooted over to him and said "hello" she flashed a friendly smile. "I'm Jeanne" gesturing for a hand shake. "I'm in the fourth year" she added. She had nothing else to say. Scared. Panicky. "H-how about you?"

Luna sat down at her house table eating some food

Kyle glanced across the table and spotted Hugo watching the Staff table, following his gaze she raised her eyebrow. Three staff members missing? What, were they at a secret meeting about making the students drones like them? She thought jokingly.

"Hey Hugo,"

Then turning to Hugo she smiled, "The new Herbology Professor looks really nice" she smiled. She didn't like the idea that 'Lord Borr' was a Professor. She didn't exactly hear nice things from - wait? Wasn't he the new Minister of Magic as well?

"Wait a second - does that Read Lord Berty Borr f-for Defense Against the Dark Arts? I-isn't he also the new Minister of Magic?" She asked furrowing her brow slightly. She was now thoroughly confused. Who was he - and was this an imposter or the real Borr - and did this mean that the school would get all muddled up with him as a Professor and acting all - high powered and like he could change the school because he was a Professor and well, the Minister all at once.

Hugo took another sip of his pumpkin juice. He was quite tired, though the train ride seemed to have been way faster than the last couple rides. He couldn't wait to go to the common room and read his book by the fire. He liked the rain outside, but hoped he could visit the lake tomorrow.

Hugo looked up at the nice girl introducing herself. He shook her hand and once he let go, he spoke. "I'm Hugo," he said and smiled a bit shyly. "Third yea Ravenclaw," he said as he inspected her. "I haven't seen you around before, are you new?" he asked. Transfers were a normal thing, apperently.


"Oh, hey Kyle," Hugo said and shot her a quick smile. "Yeah she does, I think she was a Ravenclaw," he said. The lady was glancing at his table and speaking to Vindictus, who was rather confused about something. Maybe she told him about one of the muggle sports, which made Hugo confused too sometimes. Like that one sport, with teams only consisting of beaters and they have to beat a tiny, non-magical bludger somewhere. It was very confusing.

"Sure does," he replied, chugging the last of his pumpkin juice. "I have no idea. I don't know the guy that well, because I wansn't invited to that ministry party," he said and remembered the only time in his life he was actually quite jealous. But it seemed he hadn't missed anything. "I dunno but something about that bloke being the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher doesn't feel right. Our lessons are going to be boring and he'll probably run off in the middle of the lesson to do some important ministry stuff," he said and rolled his eyes. "So what is this about the ship in the black lake?" he asked. He was quite interested and maybe Kyle knew more about it.

Hugo glanced at the quiet firstie across from him eating her food. He smiled at her friendly. "Hi there," he said. "Welcome to Ravenclaw! I'm Hugo, third year," he said and extended his arm for her to shake.

Kyle smiled still at the thought of the new Professor being a former 'Ravenclaw' that would be great. Maybe, just maybe she'd favor Ravenclaw and give them help winning the house cup - they sure needed it with their top point gainer Emily Browne having graduated.

"I wasn't at the ministry party either - but my aunt works at the Ministry and said something about not wanting to work with Borr" she remarked quietly. When he brought up him running off mid lesson she couldn't help but laugh.

"Well, - if that happens I reckon we should start our own Ravenclaw Defense against Dark Arts class - possibly on the middle of the grounds...or in the common room" she smiled happily laughing a bit. The idea of a disappearing Professor wasn't a good one but it was a relief - him bringing up the ship made her stop laughing - a serious and inquisitive look plaguing her face.

"I've got no idea about it" she replied quietly, sighing she took a sip of her pumpkin juice. Before speaking her little curious smile spread across her face, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "But I have to admit I do want to investigate it further - and hopefully thats what the three missing Professors are you know doing...investigating the big ship" she pondered for a minute. That almost seemed to easy.

Finlay wandered down the ravenclaw table, kind of feeling out of place. He didn't really know where to sit....he could hardly sit with his friends, not when Jim wasn't talking to him. Finn didn't think that he'd appreciate that too much. And everyone else was going to be sat around Jim probably. He was Mr.Popular after all. Maybe Finn could go introduce himself to the firsties. Do something benefical. Even though that was really not something that he would usually did.
He could see Jim from where he was stood. He was with Lexi, and Ivan. Yeah. He definetly couldn't go over there. This kinda sucked.

Pshh. Monkey.

Jim gave Rufus LOOKS.

"You should be appreciating me, fiend, after everything I've done for you. Didn't I give you to the prettiest girl in the school? Huh? Yeah thats what I thought." Bloody pygmy marmoset. Cute and epic, but so fickle.

He grinned at Ivan and Lexi, pleased to see them getting along.

"Hey party people."

He let Lexi hug him and lifted his head in acknowledgement at Ivan. Yeah, Ivan got a 'sup'. They were that cool.

Girl voice.

Jim turned automatically.

"Oh hey Kyle." He grinned casually as she sat down.

"Sounds good. I think I know who you mean. Tiny thing." Well. Anyone under third year was a tiny thing to Jim. Big bad seventh year at your service. But he had played quidditch himself after all.

... and totally won against Gryffindor. So, booyah.

"Bring her along to the first meeting." He added, trusting Kyle's judgement. If the kid sucked, Jim would just make her leave.

"Mmmm. Some of it was alright."

He glanced up when the head boy arrived and after a moment looked away.

Eh.

....

He nodded his head once in acknowledgement and looked away again.

So he's in the third year. He's a year younger than i am. "I'm a transferee from Beauxbatons." expecting that the next question would be more about her previous school, Jeanne expected for it. It's nice to gain new friends back at Hogwarts. "Is the potion master still Professor Lafay?" pointing at the staff table. Oh, she was warned about the professors at hogwarts, especially the strict ones. And she also heard the the new minister, Lord Borr, was going to be one of their professors.

Rufus' response was this: PFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTT! Little pygmy marmoset raspberries for his FORMER owner. Mhm. Lexi was indeed pretty and she fed him grapes all the time and let him sleep in her bed. She even bought him an itty bitty Gryffindor sweatshirt to match hers. SHE was that epic.

"Hey bud. Ivan and I were just making plans for an epic party at my par-... my house in France," she said and looked at Ivan with a knitted brow. She was not having an easy time with this... those that KNEW it was okay, but it was hardly the time to tell Jim her parents were dead...

Yeah.Come sit and change the subject or something, Ivan.

... Lexi followed Jim's gaze and spotted Finlay. Sigh. She gave him a weak smile and a little wave. Perhaps she would catch him later.

Ivan watched in amusement as the stupid monkey jumped off of Lexi's shoulder and ran away. Following him he saw James and smiled.

"Yeah, I'm sure that's what it is. I don't hate him..." Well he did kind of. He just knew that monkey was up to something.

Ivan gave Lexi a slight smirk and raised an eyebrow at her. "It was Dora. Meh. She said I was like her brother or something." He gave a shrug and twirled around the fork again. "Yeah they're making me or I lose my title," he glanced over at her hand on his arm.

Before he could say anything he found himself being dragged over to James and unceremoniously pulled down onto the bench.

He looked at James and gave a smile, laughing as the monkey hit him on the head and ran back to Lexi. Returning his semi greeting with a nod he looked at Lexi. Seeing the look on her face he cleared his throat and leaned across her on the table placing one hand on her back to comfort her. Yeah, he got it. "So James where were you on the train? I didn't see you." Though he also hadn't left his compartment at all either....

Kyle nodded, yeah she was a 'tiny thing' but she was a nice Tiny thing who could Fly well...even if clumsiness was her thing off field - like Kyle. Clumsy.

"I will bring her along" she smiled. Taking a sip of her water, yay for water.

Weird girl.

She then looked up watching the Pigmy Marmoset it was cute in its little Gryffindor sweater.

"Cute Monkey" she smiled to Lexi...unsure what else to really say they didn't exactly know eachother other than in classes.

Finally Spike arrived at the 'Claw table. Somehow he'd lost Ellie in the rush from the train. But the curly-haired boy was here now, and rather hungry to boot. His squished sandwiches on the train hadn't really hit the spot, and he was very much looking forward to one of the distinct advantages of being back of Hogwarts - the food. First though, the dilemma of where to sit.

Seeing Ellie otherwise occupied, the small second year looked for other familiar faces. And then he spotted two of the most epic guys at Hogwarts. There were pretty much his HEROES of last term. With a grin, he ran over to Finn, and skidded to a halt just before he hit the boy's ribs. "Where you going?" he asked, curls bouncing. "Jimmy's over hereeeee."

And with a tug, his pulled Finn over and plonked himself next to Jimmy. "Haiiii Jimmy! Good summer?" he greeted, completely oblivious and not bothering to ask if he could sit there. Of course Finn could, being all super cool and all that. So Spike could too, right?! And with that sorted, he carefully put Killy and Kranky on the table so they wouldn't get squashed.

Dora found this place absolutely fantasmagorical. There was enough magic to make her feel like Taylor Swift in a music video. Now all she had to do was find a cute Prince Charming. That wouldn't be too hard, now would it?

She'd gotten sorted - which hadn't gone as she'd imagined. There hadn't been any dragons or slaying of monsters to prove merit. Thank the lord. Rather, an unattractive hat had told her she was not the brightest crayon (WHICH SHE RESENTED, thank you very much) As she was pretty sure that her pastel yellow nail polish was much prettier than the girl who'd gone before her.

(She'd had gunk under her fingernails. Unfortunate. She'd had a pretty face.)

But Dora congregated towards people she knew, the social butterfly she was. And the people she knew were sitting at the blue people table.

...so she went there. Skipped rather, curls bouncing and giggling softly, tapped Batman on the shoulder.

"Evening Batman." GIGGLE.

Ivan jumped as he felt someone tap him on the shoulder to find Dora standing behind him. Smirking he looked at her and gestured tot he space beside him. "Evening Squishy."

Well she did look good in her robes. "So I see the sorting hat didn't tell you you were unfit to attend school here," he teased. "You look lovely."

Ellie had made her way from the train to the Great Hall and gasped at it. It was so big and... ancient looking. Hogwarts looked amazing.

Though she was missing her kitty Nico, her only friend at Hogwarts so far. She hadn't made any friends... She sat down at the table with the blue ties, and smiled softly at a few of the people around her. She was just a little too nervous to speak to them yet.

Brielle took her seat in the great table, she had been away for a long time, but the warmth of the castle was already getting to her. She had missed Hogwarts terribly. Looking around, Brielle frowned, wondering where her few friends had gone. Shrugging, she settled on her chair instead, hoping that someone to talk to would come along.

Lexi nodded her head. She was SURE that was what it was... Rufus just wanted to be his friend. Mhm. "That's... terrible. |I am so sorry... Please... keep in touch and be safe and... oh this is terrible," she said with a little wibble at him. The thought of Lord Ivan in the military was a scary thing.

She was grateful that Ivan GOT it and intervened there... She was not sure when or where she would tell Jim... or if, but now was not that time. At all.

"Yeah... anyway. Epic party at my place over the holidays. Everyone is invited... well not EVERYONE, but you know." Not a certain Hufflepuff, or... a few others she could think of. No way.

Looking at the girl she was sure was named... a guy's name. Something like Kevin or something. "Thanks! He was a gift from the bestie guy here. His name is Rufus." She avoided saying her name since... she wasn't sure what it was. She was terrible with names.

OH it was DORIE!! Lexi smiled brightly as she could and looked over at the girl and asked, "What house did you get, Dorie?" HOPEFULLY it was Gryffindor!!! They could like... hang out in the common room and gossip and share clothes and all that stuff. Hehehe.

Adelyn laughed and hugged back as Melina jumped out of her seat to hug her. "Well, don't cry now!" She said, teasing Melina. "I knew you'd be in this house. It was just meant for you!"

She smiled at her little sister's undying-excitement, remembering that's exactly how she was when she first got to Hogwarts. "Yes, I promised that, and it's still true. We'll see each other all the time." Adelyn reassured her, knowing that that had probably been bothering her for a while. "The food here is delicious! My only advice on that...try everything!"

"Well, after the feast, we'll get to go to our common rooms and such. Then we should be starting classes soon. You'll get to wander the grounds a bit, explore the castle maybe. There's always something to do!" Adelyn could feel her own excitement building just talking about all there was to do. Gosh, was she glad to finally be back. "As for when you can see me, I'm here now." She giggled. "And we'll see each other in the Great Hall during other meals, on the grounds, in class, whenever you want."

Jeanne is trying to make some new friends for awhile now. She's new at Hogwarts. It's been awhile since she came back and the least she could do is start fresh with everyone. She was looking rather please with everyone in their uniforms. Oh how she missed the green, blue, red and yellow neckties. She looked at the staff table and every professor is conversing with each other. She heard a lot of things about them in the train going here so Jeanne just hoped she won't disappoint each one of them.

As she turned to eat her dessert pie she saw a girl in front of her. Did she just get here? Jeanne didn't notice her before. Well, it's not bad to say hello. Jeanne took a sip from her pumpkin juice and greeted "Hello. I'm Jeanne." she smiled at her. "i'm in the fourth year." she added. She doesn't know what else to say so probably stating which year she was is appropriate enough to start a conversation. "How about you?"

At least Jimmy hadn't completely ignored him. But Finlay figured that could have had something to do with his badge rather than who he was. But it was still something. They hadn't spoken since their trip..and it kind of sucked. He missed Jimmy. More than he thought he would actually.

But it didn't show. Finlay didn't want everyone to know that he kind of depended on Jimmy. He nodded back at Jimmy. Yeah. They'd be okay eventually.

"I know he is...." Finlay spoke quietly, as he looked between Spike and Jimmy. Spike clearly didn't know that the two former best friends had fought. Finn was kind of glad, because he knew how much Spike Idoled them, and it wouldn't be too good to show him that fighting with your bestie was okay.
Ughhh.....Spike was pulling him along to where Jimmy was. This wasn't going to turn out good. But thankfully Spike sat next to Jimmy. Maybe that meant that Finn'd be able to sneak away later. "Hey Jim..." He smiled at his mate.

Were things going to be really awkward?

Brielle's mind was just starting to drift off when a voice before her pulls her back to the present. "Oh, hi Jeanne," Brielle smiled, glad that somebody had come. "Call me Brielle, nice to meet you," she introduced herself, putting out her hand for Jeanne to shake.

"Oh, I'm a second year now," she said proudly. She had been meeting a lot of upper students this year. Brielle's eyes darted to her necktie, so she was a Ravenclaw, too? "It's great to be back, huh? I see your a Ravenclaw, too. Too bad we havent seen each other before." she finished, smiling.

Brielle. Such an adorable name and she's 2 years younger. Oh well, Jeanne's not getting any younger. She shook Brielle's hand. "It's nice to meet you." she smiled at her warmly.

She nodded her head when Brielle asked if she was a Ravenclaw. "Yes i am" well she was wearing a blue and bronze necktie. "Yeah it's good to be back." originally Jeanne went to hogwarts when she's in the first year but then she transferred to Beauxbatons for two years and now she's back, boy was that a big mistake. "I just transferred back." she shared. She took another bite from her pie. She felt so full but the pie dessert was just too much delicious. And yes, she's going to take seconds of that pie.

"I think we will, too. " Emmy smiled back, glad to have friends at this school already. "I guess there are lots of people like us then!"

"Welllll, I while ago he and my older brother were playing catch, and Eli was teasing him about how he threw like a girl. Ethan hates being teased. So, when Eli's back was turned, a ball smacked him hard in the back of his head. I was sitting near them reading but I didn't see Ethan move. You know how you can at least see movement a bit when you're reading?" Emmy paused to take a breath. " But of course, Eli didn't believe that the ball could've just flown off the ground and attacked him like Ethan said. So, Ethan was grounded for a while." she giggled slightly. "But I believe that he actually didn't throw the ball, now that I know about magic." Boy, was it good to have someone to talk to!!!
