Also Gryffindors Head of house is Madam Donovan the Hogwarts librarian." she finishied pointing up at Madam Donovan who luckily already was seated at the staff table.

Sitting down again Sophie glanced over at the Slytherin table wondering if Evan was sitting there or with his girlfriend.

After welcoming the people and greeting a few familiar faces here and there, the first thing Evan did was to look over the Ravvie table to see if Mina was there. Upon seeing her talking to her friends, he directly turned his gaze at the Gryffindor table, and saw Sophie welcoming the newbies as well. He excused himself from his table to head over hers; because he felt their conversation hadn't ended. She was angry with him, and he had to fix that. He had no idea how to, but he just... needed to.

Glad that she wasn't talking to any firstie that might be bothersome for the time being, he approached her, quite unsure what to say. If only he could know how to fix this problem... He needed Marie majorly, even if he already knew her advice would be a curt 'Stay away from her'. But she was nowhere to be seen, and frankly, he didn't search the Ravvie table any further for her after spotting Mina.

Sitting next to Sophie, he eyed the table for a moment, before he looked into her eyes and said "Let's not... let's stay at least friends, no?" Wow, such a wise beginning there. "You still mean a great deal, Sophie... Just wanted you to know." If she wanted, he could leave. In fact, it looked as if it was better if he left... he understood her, really. So he positioned himself to leave, if she indicated that he was unwanted. He didn't want to bother her at all.

'Awesome. Not only did she have brothers. Three of those five were triplets.' Zara thought as she finished the last bite of her cake and took a sip of her pumpkin juice. She was about to ask more on Ella's family, but Ella immediately changed the subject.

"I'm looking forward more on the flying. I can't wait to know what it feels like to be flying up in the sky." Zara beamed at the thought of flying, she could feel the air protesting against her speed and the ground a hundred feet below her. "Do you have any idea what the names of our professors are? My parents never talked about the wizarding world until they were sure I was a witch even though they were both purebloods. They only let me in on the secret the day I received my letter, but I guess they haven't told me much yet."

I think it's the fact that I can do magic, and learn it along with other witches and wizards. Learning about magic makes me feel that I can be a great witch like my mum. Plus, I get to meet new friends while learning. It's really fun meeting all these people, including you of course." Zara said.

Sophie was just going to pour herself some juice as she waited for Headmaster Tate's speech when she heard a girl speaking nearby by about being full up. Putting on a slightly worried expression she asked "Hi, there! Are you all right?" From the looks of the first year Sophie guessed that she had eaten a bit too much and was now feeling the uncomfortable effects of it. Sophie saw from the corner of her eye how Evan approached from the Slytherin house table and was heading her way. Drinking some juice she focused on the chatter around her as looking at Evan only made that very familiar roller coaster of feelings well up again. She was angry, she was hurt, she was frustrated, she was just about every feeling you could be in this situation.

She felt rather than saw that he sat down on the empty seat next to her. Her initial reaction was to scoot away from him but she risisted that urge. When Evan spoke and caught her eyes in the process she turned reluctantly to face him. "We can still be friends yes, but i'm still very much hurt and angry with you. I thought there was going to be us not just friends."

It would take some time for her to get used to the new situation.

As she listened to Ella's story about her brothers teaching her, she had to admit, she wanted to have a brother more. Zara sighed, but immediately smiled again.

With their mum? What did that mean? "With your mum only? Where's your dad?" Zara asked.

Sophie didn't pull away, which was a good sign. That meant she wanted to talk to him, right? But the tone did hurt... a bit... okay maybe a lot. It showed it was only to be 'polite' and not make a scene in front of the new people that she let him sit. He sighed.

"Look, Sophie, I like you," he said as he ran a hand through his hair, stressed. "But I have a past with Mina that I can't just forget." And that past had been renewed this summer with them seeing each other almost everyday. He opted not to reveal that at the moment though. For his own good. "We'll see how it goes to be fully together after two years' seperating." Of course, he didn't hint that Sophie should wait for him or whatever... this was only the fact. She was free to do anything, date anyone; and if it didn't work out well with Mina, he would accept Sophie had moved on as well.

Thomas was ecstatic to be in gryffindor and happy to be eating meals rather than snacks he sat there hoping to see Rose, Ella, Ember, Jordan or any other of his friends. "Oh hey Ella" he called spotting her.

'My Dad often plays with them, when he's home..'

Ella looked aobut to see any sighn of movement. Nope.. the feast was obviously not over yet. But she was so excited to see the rest of the castle!

Oh so it was just regular stomach ache?

Heaving a small sigh of relief Sophie said to the first year "Okay, let me know if it get's any worse. If it does i'll take you straight to the school nurse all right?" The feasts food could render anyone with a stomach ache not just a first year who was keen on trying anything and everything. "Try and drink some more juice or water it might help." At that moment Sophie wished for that muggle bevarage that usually worked wonders on her stomach aches at home but she knew they didn't have that Hogwarts.

If she had jumped seats it would have raised looks and not to mention questions. Sophie was not in the mood for that at all. She was the house prefect and didn't need any unfavourable rumours floating around about her.

At least he admitted that he still liked her! It was something and better than nothing. Nodding slowly she said "Okay I understand your situation and i guess its only fair of you to give yours and minaaas relationship a chance." Saying those words her want to crawl out of her skin but Sophie knew it was the right thing to say/do at this moment in time. She was a girl who could swallow her pride and do the right thing even if it ultimatley would hurt her.

Evan continued speaking about not knowing how it would go being together after two years. Not really wanting to hear that Sophie said "I'll still be friends with you. I'll still go on prefect patrol with you. Just promise me not to bring up Mina. I'm not sure if i can handle that, okay?" It was the best thing she could in the situation.

Heather yawned, a bit odd she felt tired when the feast just began. She looked around, but wasn't really in the mood to talk even though she promised Rex that she'd be more outgoing than ever. Truth is, she felt a little sad as she toyed with the lenses of her camera.

Giving up the little game, she looked around, hoping that maybe Ed was around; that it was a joke he made like he always does to her, but...she didn't see him in the train; he isn't even around the table anymore.

What caught Heather's attention was the familiar black hair of her Gryffie friend, Kurumi. A smile was painted across her lips; she hadn't seen Kurumi in the train and she was glad to have caught up with her now-but she was speaking with another girl-and she looked sad.

She sat back down, thinking, maybe she should wait for the right time to approach her friend. Oh good heavens, why was she being shy even to her closest friend now?

She stood up and gathered her courage to talk with Kurumi. After all, kurumi is her friend and it looks like she needs her now. "Hi Kurumi."

That's when she heard the word Quidditch. Quidditch. Her eyes glistened. She loved Quidditch, but she never got to play it yet. "I love Quidditch! But, I don't think playing with your brothers is a good idea. I want to spend more time with you, so I'll sit beside you as you be the referee. I'm good with watching, besides, I don't even know how to actually play it. Maybe I'll do the commentary and the scoring." She said. Then she realized that sleep was about to get the best of her. Zara yawned, it was a long day indeed. Sleep would be something Zara ~~wanted~~ needed right now.

'I don't think they'd allow two girls refereeing!' She burst out laughing. 'They get annoyed with just me doing it! I only do it sometimes.'

She saw Zara was getting tired, as were the other First Years around her. Yawning, she rubbed her head. Wow, she was very tired..

Selina's sweet tooth took over for a moment and she quickly picked up one of the Gryffindor cookies and began to nibble on it. With her cookie still in hand Selina smiled softly to Kurumi. She was still in pain over Adam. It was written all over her face. Kurumi may fool everyone that she was okay but Selina knew better. Of course she wouldn't push the subject. They would talk when Kurumi could really be herself.

Looking up once again, a faint glow returned to her violet eyes when she saw Heather standing before her. "Heather!" she smiled as some of the sadness faded away. "Come sit down."

Kurumi scooted a bit to the side so that Heather could join her and Selina. She hadn't seen either of them on the train and, truth be told, Kurumi had been kind of avoiding people due to the urge to suddenly burst out into tears.

"It was alright," she shrugged. "Much better than usual really. Father is working for the Daily Prophet now, so I got to spend more time in London than back in Japan. The more time around magic, the better really."

She smiled at Selina. "Thank you again for allowing me to come stay with you. I am glad that I can do a proper take off now." Although her landing still needed some SERIOUS work.

At least he admitted that he still liked her! It was something and better than nothing. Evan took a breath of relief at last as Sophie announced she understood him. He even let himself smile a little. It was a pretty sign that she understood him. And his smile got bigger when Sophie agreed to stay friends. It was the right thing to do for them... Nodding eagerly, he said "Sure, as you wish." Just anything to stay friends... it wasn't like he would talk about what he did with Mina to Sophie anyway. He was far better than a jerk.

"So, how had been your summer?" A good distraction from the main topic, right?

"Thanks.." she said and sat down. she looked at Kurumi. She definitely could sense that Kurumi wasn't feeling well, so maybe a little cheering up would help? But what to say?

"Kurumi, Mr. Panda's back to his normal size again." she started. Topics about Mr. Panda always delights Kurumi. "And guess what, Camellia gave me her snowy owl, Sythe." she chuckled at this. "There's a funny little back story why she gave Sythe to me though."

She dug through her pockets and took out six chocolate frogs. Yep, she had been stocking some once again, and her pockets was bulging with chocolate frogs. She offered three to Kurumi and three to her friend who also sat there. "i forgot to give you some chocolate frog. I was supposed to give you some in the train, but i didn't see you...by the way, how's walnut?...and your dad?"

way to make a cheery conversation, Heather, you keep spilling out any kind of topic randomly, but if it helps take Kurumi's mind off her worries, it's a bonus.

Selina nodded as Kurumi spoke about her father and her summer. Selina had heard quite a bit about Mr. Hollingberry after her mother had met him in the park. She had some interesting things to say about the man.

"Yeah it must be so hard to spend most summers away from magic. Even though I can't use it my parents can so am around it."

When she mentioned flying Selina laughed, "Yeah thank Merlin there were no gigantic cupcakes in our way. Seriously though you've gotten really good. Try out for the team."
