Caroline laughed. "First year seem like forever ago," To her, her first year was forever ago. Caroline nodded it was true, but he was just too good not to make it.

She giggled when he rasied his eyebrows. "Well how about you take me on one of those walks by the lake first to start with."

"Thanks I hope you do too." She smiled. She knew that he would, so she didn't have to worry about him not making it. She was excited, she'd put off trying out saying that she was too shy to try, but now she was going to tryout. "Well I'd rather be a chaser, but I'm a pretty good keeper too." She didn't know or care about what position she got except for " Seeker, no way I can't see the snitch, ever." She chuckled. She really could ever get the snitch. "Want to take that walk now?"

"Yeah..." Carter said with a little chuckle. It was weird to think they'd only be here for one more opening feast before graduation. Time sure did fly!

"I'd be delighted to." he said. It seemed like a fun thing to do. And he was anxious to get a look at that weird boat he'd heard about -- even if it was from a distance.

"I wouldn't want to be seeker either. My problem though is that I couldn't stand just waiting up there. I'd want to be in the action."

Patience is never a boy's best trait.

"Yeah." he said getting up. He then offered his hand to her. "Shall we?"

Tayla's eyebrows furrowed in confusion when Zara mentioned learning Latin words. "Maybe she was teaching you some spells. Did you check your books? You might know some words already!" Tayla grinned in excitement. She couldn't wait to swish her wand and learn magic.

She fumbled with the handle of her new wand inside her cloak. "11.5 inches. Cherry wood, phoenix feather, solid!" she recalled happily.

"Spells? I think so.." Zara wondered. And as she saw Tayla take out her wand, she added, "Wow, you know the name of your wand? I mean, you remember? I forgot what mine's called. I think I'll try to remember it. But not now, my head's so dizzy."

Zara looked up at the staff table. Then she poked Tayla, "Hey, I think they're about to announce the end of the feast?" She squinted her eyes to see clearly what the fuss was all about.

Compared to that, Zara's life was nothing. "My family? There's nothing really interesting. I'm an only child, no brothers, no sisters. My parents are both magical; my dad's part of the Wizengamot and my mum's an Auror. We live at the Muggle part of Godric's Hollow, away from the other witches and wizards so our house is surrounded by Muggle ones. I was never allowed to go outside, so I stayed within the gates of our house and spent almost everyday at the swing, alone. We have a swing at home, you see. I was homeschooled, so I haven't really met friends until I attended Hogwarts."

I'm really sorry, but I just don't see why we can't be friendly towards one another," Christopher said, exhasperated by Levi's behaviour. He had problems at home too, but he wasn't going around acting like a jerk. Christopher had been polite as he could, but now he just wanted to find out what Levi's problem was. Maybe then he could atleast try to fix it.

Christopher sighed in relief. "Oh thank goodness, Selina Skylar you had me really worried for a second! You looked as if the worst had happened!" So it was just one of Selina's cousins. He'd worried that Violet had ignored him, or thrown out all of his post, or that his owl had been cursed or had developed some sort of brain damage. Selina must'ce just over-reacted at first.

These cousins did sound quite interesting. He wanted to know a bit more about Selina's family, they all seemed so close from what she'd described. [/B]"So your cousins? What are they like? Do they go to Hogwarts?"[/B] The young Gryffindor wondered what it'd be like to have a big family with aunts and uncles and tons and tons of cousins. After all, he only had a sister and his parents. They were a pretty small family.

Matilda: Thanks Chris. I think this stomachache goes away when I get to the Gryffindor tower and to the bed and I hope I feel a lot better tomorrow because right now I just can't eat anymore. I am not ill and I can handle this on my own even though it hurts, I said and then I decided to drink a little applejuice and it helped a bit.

Katie didn't need to look at Legend or see his expression to know her response had struck a nerve and irritated him. It hadn't been her goal, not in the least. Maybe back when they were kids, sure. Back then she had set out to annoy him at times, but this was different and she felt sure that no matter what she could have said (or even lack there of), he would have reacted the same way. As much as she tried to brush off the tension, as well as Lando's obvious confusion, Legend's words hit her like a ton of bricks. The Hufflepuff was frozen where she sat, refusing to let tears swell in her dark eyes, resisting the urge to jump up and leave the table without a single explanation to poor, innocent Orlando.

His family had been there, her family had been there, friends had been there and before correcting himself, he had said no one had come. Katie knew to take that as someone's absence had bothered him, was still bothering him.. she just wouldn't have guessed it was her fault. Still not meeting his gaze or lifting her head, Katie said softly, "I'm sorry, Legend." Merlin, how many times had she said that in the past seven years alone? "I didn't think you'd want me there, I didn't want to make it worse!" Could he understand that at all? Did he believe she had honestly enjoyed summer while he was in the blasted hospital? That she didn't want to go and see him as soon as she had heard? Some part of Katie knew and regretted her decision not to go, that she had been wrong and had it been any other time and had their most recent fight been like any other fight in the past, she would have gone no matter how she thought he may or may not feel about her being there. It was a little too late now to re-think that situation, she knew. A little way too late.

Dark eyes on Lil Lando and the cruppy, Katie gave a small nod of her head. "Yes, really." If things weren't so horrible between her and Legend in that moment, she would have laughed at the utter amazement on the Gryffindor's face. It was times like these that made her forget Orlando was indeed the same age as them and only in the year under because of his late-start birthday. And as per usual, the Hufflepuff was caught off guard by her little lion's hug. Without hesitation, Katie wrapped both her own arms around him - being mindful of the crup, she gave him a light squeeze. "Don't say that. Don't start, Orlando Renaldi. This is not goodbye, not yet. We've got a full term ahead of us still." Although she was being serious, her voice was nothing but gentle.

As Lando released her from the hug and thanked Legend, Katie glanced over at him as well, though briefly. There was still a question left hanging in the air, one that could only be avoided for so long. Clearly, she was going to have to be the one to fill in the blank. Something that was probably best done sooner, rather than later. "As for what happened.." she paused, dark brown eyes coming to rest on Lando again. "We broke up." A shrug left her shoulders, not knowing what else to say. "I think I should go, though. I'll see you later?" It was a question, but Katie didn't wait for an answer before rising from her seat and leaving the Gryffindor table without another word to either boys.

The sudden thought of what she was going to do after Hogwarts seemed daunting, very extremely daunting. Oh, the girl had sneezed she realized as the girl looked awfully embarrassed.

At-least she hadn't knocked the stool over as she had when it was her time to be sorted the year before.

"Congratulations on getting sorted into Gryffindor - I'm Kyle Manning...Ravenclaw," she admitted the last bit somewhat sheepishly. "I came to visit after my cat Ginger disappeared" she laughed, pointing to the kitten in Simon's lap.

Then turning again to Selina she smiled. "Oh yeah she is definitely a little adventurer - I think I might have to nickname her something to do with adventuring...or if i'd gotten the boy in the litter I would have named him Columbus" she chuckled smiling softly the idea of a cat finding a 'new world' was definitely worthy of a good laugh.

"Yeah well, I think its the whole culture shock thing - you know moving from Beauxbatons to Hogwarts can be jarring especially in seventh year when you don't know anyone" Kyle admitted sheepishly - it was even shocking and jarring in sixth year. She smiled softly biting the edge of her lip.

"Oh Selina do you mind if I Sel? or something, I just adore nicknames for some reason - anyways...Jimmy said that I should bring you along to the first yearbook meeting" she explained happily. She was rather excited to have a friend to take the adventure with her.

Breillat cleared her throat, blushed and blinked furiously. She then turned to face the friendly girl who said she was from Ravenclaw, the House of the ones gifted with brains and wit. "H-hey there, Kyle! I'm Breillat Grey. Nice to meet you, "her body was still shaking from her embarrassment a while ago. She wished she had Ruby, her cat now to stroke.

She swung her head toward a Gryffindor guy who had a cute cat on his lap. "Wow, that's such a lovely cat!" she practically squealed in delight.
"You sure know how to take care of her! I have one too, but she's upstairs in my dorm. I didn't know we were allowed to bring animals into the Great Hall..." her smile slowly faded.

"H-hi! Ella, right? I'm Breillat, remember?" she asked, her body still shaking because of the incident a while ago. She spotted Ella's cute furry black cat and exclaimed in delight, "Oh my! What a cute little animal you have there! Too bad I didn't bring Ruby, my cat down here... I'm sure yours and mine will go along swell!"

He then remembered his father charming his bedroom ceiling to look like the night sky to help him sleep. He then realized that this will be his first time to be away from home.

"So, what about your parents? Are you close to them?" he wondered. He can't help but think of his parents now. "I wonder how they like the idea of me being far away from them." he thought. He felt a sinking feeling when he thought about them.

Miles away from Hogwarts, Alrdrich and Morgana Mordaunt wonders too about how their only son is holding up on his own.

'I haven't met the Gryffindor Prefects either, but I'm guessing they should be taking us to our common room soon.' the girl replied. 'So what's Vincent like? Friend-material?' she asked, chuckling a bit.

'Yes, I suppose you're lucky. Most wizards dress like crazy, I think Muggles are a lot more experienced in this department. But your family has an air of sophistication rarely seen in our world.' Ari said.

'Do you think we'll also miss this place after we graduate? I do, I suppose it's going to grow on us since it'll be our home for seven years.' she expressed her opinion.

'I'm sure they miss you, wonder what you're doing, how you're settling in.' Ariadne replied. 'Mum must be doing the same. And yes, I have a very close relationship with my mum, she's the best. But my father...I never met him. Just saw him on Muggle TV at my neighbours'.' Ariadne finally confessed, wondering what Mordred's reaction would be.

'Look, I think the feast is over and we can go to our dormitories. Five more minutes of chat and then we get going?' she suggested, supressing a yawn.

The blonde grinned and listened to Super Braeman talk about what he would do with his children. Emma nodded. That would be Brae. He wouldn't punish his kids..."You know Brae, I can see that actually. You'd be a relaxed parent." she said, agreeing with him.

The Quidditch obsessed Malfoy nodded. "Yep, his name is Draco Severus. He plays Quidditch for Puddlemere United." she explained, proudly. She loved her older brother, he was a ton of fun to be with, now that she was older. When she was younger, she use to really dislike hanging out with him because he was so pushy. It seemed as if Quidditch changed him. Which was good, of course.

The blonde beamed him a grateful smile and her brown eyes sparkled as he told her he'd remember next year. So next year she would have to punish him.. Hmm,..... 50 push-ups or something?? The blonde laughed and rolled her eyes at the thought of punishing. "All right, I guess your punishment for next year if you forget is that you have to pull a prank on Lafay," she whispered, smirking widely. Teehee. That would be an evil punishment.

"So are you going to join the Quidditch team?" she asked, twirling a strand of her hair.

"Yeah" he blushed, "Rather an usual name, it's a Romanised version of a Greek name, my father is a WizArchaelogist, basically a magical tomb raider" he laughed, emmensly proud of his father, "Nice to meet you Brynn Pierce,!" he nodded, "Yep I am the head Lion of his pride! Jokes! I wish I could give detention!" There were a few people who he thougth need a nice time in the dungeons to either knock some sense into them, or lose them some points......Sierra for one!

Her whole personality just seemed to draw you to her, her smile her humour, her cute little button nose just seemed to make Patroclus speechless, and he was a rather vocal person.

With the spoon still in the air waiting for landing, Patroclus faultered, as she reciprociated her missing for him, the spoon fell onto the floor, and gangled as it hit the marble, "Oppps" he blushed.

She made him a flumbing fool.....

Towards the end of the summer, Levi had resorted to shoplifting to get something to hold him over once in a while. He was glad he didn't have to do that anymore. He had almost been caught by one of the store managers twice now. Not that he would divulge any of this to Christopher.

"Why are you even bothering with me?" he shot back gruffly. "There's other people who wanna talk to you. I'm not in the mood, all right? Just leave me alone."

Ember sat down at the Gryffindor table. it was hard for her to spend time with Rose now that they had started term. So it was easier to just meet her here. She looked around the magnificent hall as she waited for Rose.
