He had problems at home too, but he wasn't going around acting like a jerk. Christopher had been polite as he could, but now he just wanted to find out what Levi's problem was. Maybe then he could atleast try to fix it.
Levi continued to stay quiet, practically attacking a carrot on his plate with his fork. He wanted to roll his eyes. Did this kid never eat anything? It wouldn't be good to waste all that food. He never got to eat back home the way he did in Hogwarts which explained why the dark-skinned boy was so willowy. Not that he was starving to death but usually his old man was too blitzed to go out to the grocery store and actually buy them something other than drinks. Towards the end of the summer, Levi had resorted to shoplifting to get something to hold him over once in a while. He was glad he didn't have to do that anymore. He had almost been caught by one of the store managers twice now. Not that he would divulge any of this to Christopher.
"Why are you even bothering with me?" he shot back gruffly. "There's other people who wanna talk to you. I'm not in the mood, all right? Just leave me alone."
