"Walnut would probably like that," she said slowly and laughing nervously. That is IF Walnut accepted the cat as his equal...
"That sounds scary..." Heather nodded, but she really wasn't scared; she might have been happy if she were allowed to devour all of those jumping little sweets.
"I sure hope so, he'll have a new playmate then!" she grinned. Won't Walnut be glad to have another fellow cat around?
She then dug through her pockets and took out a box. "Hey Kurumi, do you want this?" she showed a charm bracelet she hoped Kurumi would like.
"So Addie, anything new? We haven't talked in such a long time I'm sure there is something we could catch up on." Nika couldn't really remember much about Addie. But her memory is so bad it was bound to happen anyway. She just wanted to start a conversation.
"I spent most of the summer taking muggle classes, because of my mum. She's a professor at Oxford. Ever since I was little, I've been taking classes she deems 'important'. She's not too happy about thw whole wizarding school thing." Addie explained to Nika.
Breillat was ushered into the Great Hall by a Hogwarts teacher, along with many other kids her age. They feel in line according to their surnames, A being the first and Z being the last. She was a Grey, which would mean somewhere in the front.
She watched carefully, yet nervously as the Professor took out a very old and battered looking hat on a stool in the middle of the Great Hall. It suddenly came to life, which frightened most of the first years. She jumped a little and gasped, amazed.
It began singing a song, one of the most beautiful songs she had ever head. She hoped that she would be sorted into a nice, lowly House.
Biting her lip, Breillat slowly moved forward as the Sorting Hat Sorted the students into their rightful place. Four... Three... Two... One...
It was her turn! She was shaking, but she went on towards the stool where everyone before her sat on and put on the Hat. She carefully picked it up and placed it on her head. She suddenly noticed many eyes on her. She blushed.
"GRYFFINDOR!", it said loudly. Then Breillat sneezed. In front of everyone. How embarrassing! She quickly took off the Hat, bounded toward the red and gold Table where everybody was cheering... for her. She smiled weakly, numb from being nervous. They all seemed like nice people. That thought cheered her up a bit.

'Have you inherited her talent for Transfiguration?' she asked, giggling a bit. 'What classes are you looking forward to the most?' Ari wanted to know.
'I can't wait to see what History of Magic is like, I'm passionate about history in general. Probably that's why I know so much about your great-grandmother.' she chuckled.
Rosemary smiled, "I hope I have... She was also one of the few registered Animgus... Her form was a tabby cat... And I really want to learn about it... Seen as I managed to accidently turn my father's favourite book into a snake..." She blushed remembering her first bit of magic.
"I'm also looking forward to Defence Against the Dark Arts and Charms..."

Kurumi raised an eyebrow at Selina. "I'll think about it." She flicked her eyes back at the staff table. Professor Vindictus seemed to think that she would one day be able to master the art of flying...but she needed to be able to take off and land properly first. Then, she couldn't help but laugh, nearly spitting her pumpkin juice all over Selina's face, when the red head did the puppy dog eyes at her. "I didn't say no, I just said I would think about it."
Selina flinched when it seemed like Kurumi was going to spit her pumpkin juice all over her face. This flinch was enough to snap her out of her mission of being adorable. Selina sighed, "Fine. Anyways my face hurts from all of this cutness. I need a break," Selina began to rub her jaw.
"So... you ready for Divination this term?" Selina asked quietly. It was her silent way of asking if Kurumi would help her with her... issues.

She couldn't help but laugh as Ginger wriggled free and made her way to Simon's lap. Aw, feisty kitten.
"Don't worry - she's just a silly little thing" she told Selina with a smile. "So - how are you - oh you should meet Katra for real sometime - she was...shy earlier" Kyle admitted with a laugh.
Then turning to Simon as she spoke she couldn't help but smile. "Yeah I'd say I picked up a kitten that was exactly like me - at least its what my mum always said - that I'm feisty" she explained with a laugh. She couldn't help but let out a little awe, as Ginger settled onto Simon's lap.
"I think our assumption from on the train was right - Ginger definitely likes you! Both of you," she smiled. After all, Ginger did jump onto Selina's lap first and them paraded down to Simon's. With a laugh, she smiled. "You know, I think I hardly make an entrance anywhere without tripping - at least it wasn't like when I met you Simon - face planting onto those books" she laughed. That actually did hurt - more out of embarrassment than anything else.
Ginger pressed herself into Simon's hand when he pet her - it felt wonderful. Aw, happy...she was happy, and he was comfortable.
She began to purr even more loudly.

Simon winced as she skidded about to ask if she was alright when his fellow Gryffindor beat him to it so it let it be as he watched the Ravenclaw with a look of concern anyway.
"Hey ," he said simply noticing the blush buy chosing to ignore it like Selina's earlier flush. "Yes she very much appears to be," he mused with a chuckle at the feline. The captain watched with amusement as Ginger slipped from Selina's grasp and truddled over to him, settling into a curled up ball on his lap after pawing him to make herself comfortable. "Comfy?" he jokingly asked the kitten, reaching down to softly pet her.
Selina smiled at Kyle. "Well at least its in style." She was glad that Sophie was making light of her fall. Selina was personally quite afraid when Kyle took her nose dive, buf if she needed to laugh it off Selina would let her. Besides she seemed fine so she decides to let the fall go.
Once Kyle took her place at the table Selina laughed, "Yeah your kitty is quite the little adventurer." At that the kitten seemed to pur into his lap.
"Oh yeah your cousin did just leave quickly. It's alright though, she didn't know me. I'm sure we'll get on."
Fee made her way to the Gryffindor table. It had taken her a littl bit longer to get ready as usual but oh well.Gladly she was still in time.Checking out if her dress was still in the right person the girl looked around for some of her Gryffie friends.Where were Ari,Kurumi and William?!
Mmmmmhh...
The blonde decided to just take a seat and wait for someone to appear.Surely no one would mind if she sat down at the Gryffindor table would they?!Shrugging, the third year plopped down on a seat and poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice.Yuum.
Who was looking awfully upset or sad at the moment. She was horrible at reading people's expression. WHAT WAS WRONG!? Perhaps his summer didn't go very well. Perhaps he couldn't find any treasure on his treasure hunt!
Her skipping coming to a halt, she squeezed herself in the seat next to him. "I was looking for you." He should be as loud as Josh then she would never miss him again! "Are the potatoes at this table really better than the ones at the Slytherin table?"
Well, that wasn't the reason she was looking for him..
The smile that had been drowning in the corners of his mouth, quickly resurfaced when he felt her move into the seat beside him, his heart began to flutter, and his pulse to race and well.......he liked it!
"Oh our Potatoes are always the best!" He nodded his eyes lost in hers, the sparkling jewels either side of her nose, "However I have been told that the Snake table has really good carrots!" He laughed referencing what had just transpired at the other end of the table, leaving Josh looking like a wonky snow man!
"How are you?" he muttered before adding in a low voice, "I have missed you..." then to mask the emotions he was feeling, he cried, "Open wide!" and with his fork stabbed a potato and began flying it towards her, like a plan, sound effects and all!

I think something happened between him and Theo… anyway, I teased him about it but I think it only worsened his mood," the boy confessed with a laugh, as if ticking friends off was the most amusing and entertaining of hobbies. "No worries, though, Riley doesn't hold grudges very long. At least not with me; he's grown a soft spot for lil' ol' me," he added with a wink.
Yep. Braeden Stonem was VIP; it was hard to hate him.
"Don't worry about it, Em, if I ever decide to choke to death I'll make sure I do it as far away from you as possible. Wouldn't want to leave you with that horrible memory," said Braeden with a laugh as poor, innocent Emma showed concern over his minor choking episode. Hehehe. She was so cute when she worried, he kinda liked it. Didn't mean he'd purposely do things to worry her, though, 'cause that would just be plain mean.
The goofy Gryffindork couldn't help but laugh once more as Emma made him promise not to tell this Alex guy all the wonderful things she was saying about him. Oh Merlin, and she was awfully close to his face too…
Clearing his throat for a moment, his expression turning slightly flustered and his face the lightest shade of pink, Braeden had to force his brown eyes to look away and back to his plate. "Why, though? I'm sure he'd like to hear all these nice things you're saying. I know I'd certainly like to know when a friend of mine is saying nice things about me," he said with a smile before taking another bite from his meal.
Oooooh, and then she was asking him if he wanted a nickname. Oh boy! He most certainly DID!
Looking like a child being offered cotton candy, Braeden turned his gaze back to Emma with the goofiest of grins. "I'd love that, actually. As long as it's nothing demeaning." Though he could honestly not imagine Emma ever calling him anything that wasn't nice; she was just… too sweet for such a thing. Though that Slytherinish smirk of hers could certainly send a shiver down his spine at times.
As Emma suggested he added butterbeer to her paycheck for babysitting him, Braeden raised his dark eyebrows for a moment before grinning. That sounded lovely, actually. "You got it," he promised her. "You, m'lady, are one well-paid babysitter, y'know that?"
Emma laughed. Friends being diva? Emma understood. "Kind of like a diva. Ahh.. I see." she said, smirking again. She smiled widely. "Well that's good to hear that you'll sort it out." She was sure of it and laughed a little at what he said.
Emma blanched again. Brae.. dead? "Well, thanks. But I would be very sad, because I'd loose one of my closest Gryffindor friends!" she exclaimed. And plus she wouldn't be paid. Merlin's Beard! Why did he have to tease like that. And why did she feel like that. The blonde noticed when Brae became a bit pinker. Aww was he blushing? She blushed a little bit, when he looked away, so he wouldn't see. The blonde laughed. "Well Alex doesn't want other guys to hear his nickname because he thinks he is going to be teased relentlessly." she explained, shrugging her shoulders. Alex was funny.
The blonde smiled wider as Brae gave her one of his goofy smiles. Gosh.. he was just so adorable and funny at times! Emma nodded. "Of course! No nothing like that. I'm not like that. I'm not evil.. Even though some people think I am because I'm a Malfoy," she said, shrugging her shoulders at the last part. "Even though I plan to take over the world one day.." she whispered, winking at him.
"What about... BraeBrae? Or B-man? Or Super Brae? Or Prince of Gryffindor?" she said, starting to brainstorm away and waiting to see his reactions. Teheee. She enjoyed this too much.
The blonde smirked as Brae raised his eyebrows. Yeah, that was right. She wanted a butterbeer too. Not too demanding. "Great, then that's a date---I- I mean deal. That's a deal." she exclaimed, recovering quickly. "Yeah, I am a well paid babysitter. I have your company and a butterbeer. That's a bonus!" The Malfoy nodded. "Perhaps I should see how your Quidditch is coming along too?"
Evan took a breath of relief at last as Sophie announced she understood him. He even let himself smile a little. It was a pretty sign that she understood him. And his smile got bigger when Sophie agreed to stay friends. It was the right thing to do for them... Nodding eagerly, he said "Sure, as you wish." Just anything to stay friends... it wasn't like he would talk about what he did with Mina to Sophie anyway. He was far better than a jerk.
"So, how had been your summer?" A good distraction from the main topic, right?
Evan accepted her condition without blinking which at least showed that he was honest about his feeling towards her Sophie mused. Taking another sip from her goblet she thought back to her summer. "We went to the magical zoo like i told you. Then we visited my cousins in Sweden for two weeks. They go to Durmstrang. It's a little different from Hogwarts." Thinking hard she added "And daddy worked at the quidditch festival in the Sahara desert whilst the rest of us were home and relaxed, barbequed and played some muggle games that maddy likes." Sophie looked up at the staff table as her stomach churned hoping that Headmaster Tate would give his speech sonner rather than later. She was hungry like a bear. "How was your summer? Did you play a lot of football?" Please no Mina mentions.

The prefect could therefore relate to what all the new first years felt sitting there in the Great Hall for the first time.
Oh, this was all very overwhelming for little Katrina. Her muggle school had been one of those built back in the 60s when the government thought it would be a marvellous idea to pull down the old historic buildings and replace them with massive ugly blocks of concrete.. which was exactly what her school and home were. At school, there weren't enough classrooms for the masses of kids in the area, so they had mobile classrooms lined up outside on the yard where you would go and sit and freeze your bum off, even in the middle of summer, and learn nothing. This... this old castle with it's MASSIVE cosy hall and roaring fires and that --she looked wide eyed up at the enchanted ceiling, gasping at what she saw. This place was just incredible: magical; out of this world. The wee lassy couldn't quite believe she was actually here. She never had such good luck. She was rather frightened she was going to wake up at any moment and be brought back to reality.
The hat, which had made her giggle when it started talking, had told her rather loudly that she was a Gryffindor! so she thought she better head on over to the table where the kids surrounded by lions and red sat.
She went to the first vacant seat she saw and sat, big brown eyes taking everything in with a slightly bewildered look on her face. Floating candles... and plates re-filling themselves. O___O ..Just... WOW! She placed her hands in her lap and looked at the kids around her sending smiles this way and that. Everyone seemed very excited.. and already in their own groups. She really didn't like to interrupt anything so she just sat and quietly listened to the chitter chatter going on around her.

From over at Kurumi's side, Heather noticed a girl seated on her own at the far end, looking as if she were nervous. She instantly remembered her first time in Hogwarts-and she giggled at the thought. Perhaps, it was her turn to spread the cheer on the newbies. It was a chance to make new friends and to ease up the nervousness the girl had-if she really were nervous.
And she did promise Rex, a former senior, that she'd be more confident this year.
Now, hopefully the girl won't mistake her as a fellow freshman as well, given she looked one still even though she was already in 3rd year.
taking a chocolate frog in her pocket, she approached the girl, feeling her self getting nervous at getting to know someone, but she's like the older one here now. no sense in being nervous around someone who's already nervous.
"H-hi." she said, giving the girl a smile. "I'm Heather...welcome to Gryffindor. Would you like a chocolate frog?" her smile widened even more. At least her next sentence had less stuttering now.

"My name's Zara. Danielle Zara Griffiths," she said as she tilted her head to the side and grinned.

She stood up from her seat, and went near the girl who looked like she has been in Hogwarts for more than a couple of years or so. "H-hi. May I join you?" she asked.
Zara looked at the other boy Ella introduced to her. "Hi there, Jordan." Zara smiled and waved to the boy.
Zara giggled at Ella, "Oh fine. I'll go join them." Zara pretended to pout, then couldn't control it anymore, so she laughed along with Ella.
And she yawned again. When were they allowed to go back?
Zara looked at William, "Sure, let's be friends. That's very nice of you." She smiled at the boy who had just offered her to go to classes together and to hang out in the Gryffindor common room together too.
"Me too. I can't wait. When do we go to the common room anyway?" Zara yawned. She was so tired with all the events that happened today. "I'm dead tired."
"Thanks." Zara smiled, feeling a little comfortable every minute that passed. "I'm Zara. Danielle Zara Griffiths." She said as she reached out her hand for a handshake.
"I can't wait too." Zara squealed. She was so excited, but now she was so tired. She needed some serious rest. "When do you think we'd head back to the common room?"

taking a chocolate frog in her pocket, she approached the girl, feeling her self getting nervous at getting to know someone, but she's like the older one here now. no sense in being nervous around someone who's already nervous.
"H-hi." she said, giving the girl a smile. "I'm Heather...welcome to Gryffindor. Would you like a chocolate frog?" her smile widened even more. At least her next sentence had less stuttering now.
Katrina looked down at her hands in her lap, feeling a little awkward just sitting here alone. She wasn't a shy girl, not at all, but she worried that she wouldn't be on the same wavelength as these other kids. ..That's what she thought anyway - she would never be able to articulate it herself; she thought wavelength had something to do with the swimming pool.
She looked up suddenly when she heard a voice next to her to see a smaller girl who seemed almost as awkward as she felt. A bright, friendly smile spread across the fourth year's face. She was so grateful that someone had approached her that she relaxed almost immediately. “Heather!” She beamed brightly. “Oh, it's so nice to meet you! I'm Katrina.” She said in her little girlish voice. She didn't look it, but her body language and the way she spoke made her seem so much younger than fourteen. “Fank you.” She gave the girl another smile and shuffled along on the bench a bit, gesturing for her to sit. She nodded to Heather's kind offer.
“I'd never say no to chocklit.”
*giggle*
“Are you new here too?”

"Thanks, you are a really sweet girl" William told Zara." I can't wait to get settled in here at HogWarts" William said to Zara. "So what is the first thing you will do at Hogwarts?" William asked ZAra.
Zara smiled at William. "Thanks. Me too, I can't wait! Though I do wonder where my owl is right now. I've left her along with my trunk, because I was told to by the man in charge of the train. I wonder where they took her." Zara said, worried. Her smiled was replaced by a frown. But, after a couple of seconds, she smiled again. "I think the first thing I'd do here, after this feast is go get some sleep. I'm really tired, today was a really long day. How 'bout you?"

she took another chocolate frog from her pocket and gave it to her. "Sure, that would be lovely." she said. "I'm Heather." Good going Heather! Keep this up, and you'll be more confident than ever.
Zara accepted the chocolate frog from Heather, "Thanks," She smiled as she placed it safely in her pocket, surely she would need a good snack later. "Oh, nice to meet you Heather. I'm Zara. Danielle Zara Griffiths." She grinned as she reached out her hand for a handshake. The whole meet-and-greet Zara's been doing all day seemed like a routine. It was déjà vu, all over again.
The routine followed three simple steps. First, she would approach someone or someone would approach her. Then they'd say their greetings and introduce themselves. Finally, it would be the traditional handshake. Zara sighed internally, she could really use something new once in a while.

"Ha! Happy's a nice name! Suits him!" Like sunny matched her owl. Well, small, hyper and obsessed with owl pellets would also suit her but sunny sounded better.
"You put dungbombs and fireworks in your brothers case? AND goblins? You'll get in so much trouble!" Wow. She'd never met someone who liked pranks so much. "Guess you like pranks then?" Gulp."And I would hate to get a howler. They sound so scary!" And then burst into flames.
Elaine laughed. "Heh, well the goblins on my brothers team are like a family for me, so they'll find it funny," she paused "Eventually..." Maybe she should've thought this through. "And howlers aren't that bad." Elaine said this more to her self than to Emily.

"And I wanted to introduce you to my owl, but she's up in the owlery now." But she'd introduce her later, right now FOOD! She grabbed some chicken and gravey. "Remember you can use her whenever you want! Just don't give her big packages..." She was too small to carry them, bless her.

Elaine laughed while Emily and Nika greeted each other. "Hi Nika," Elaine waved. "Long time no see," They had only talked for a little while in the ice cream parlour.

And she yawned again. When were they allowed to go back?
Ella grinned, but yawned when she saw Zara. 'Just looking at you makes me feel tired!' She joked. Flicking her hair she looked aorund the table yet again. Hmm.. So many Gryffindors..

Ella jumped as she felt something patting her ankle. Leaning down, Ella spotted her little black cat on the ground. 'Are cats allowed in here?...' She didn't know, but she picked Henry up anyway. Ella grinned. She couldn't find any of her other friends..

Nodding as he listened to her story, Evan wondered if she was also a little bit Swedish. He had been there, after all, to the Ice Hotel. And it was the experience of his life, all fascinating.
How was the zoo?" he asked, just to be polite first. Then, pausing, he added "Was there snow in Sweden?" Even if it had been summer, if they went north enough, there would be snow, he figured. He wasn't even going to ask about the midnight sun... yeah, he would love to visit there again some time.
"So you couldn't watch the cup live?" N'aw, shame. She had wanted it too much. He didn't even bother to; he was never into it. He just couldn't get it.
"My summer?" His summer had been empty minus Mina. She didn't want to hear about Mina though, so he summed it up in one short word that made his eyes sparkle: "Football. It was all about football." He considered telling her about the contract offer, but then decided against it. He didn't want many people to know, afraid of the magic to be broken then. Plus, then he would have to explain why he rejected it, and he wasn't up to that challenge neither. She would hear his name next year in the Muggle sports' papers anyway, if she read any. Hopefully.
Ella grinned, but yawned when she saw Zara. 'Just looking at you makes me feel tired!' She joked. Flicking her hair she looked aorund the table yet again. Hmm.. So many Gryffindors..
Zara giggled. When she saw Ella yawn, it made her yawn again. *YAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWN*
As Ella looked around, Zara was able to actually see the other people around her for the first time. She was so busy introducing herself to other Gryffindors and keeping up with conversations that she never actually got to see how other people were doing from the other houses. As she looked over them, she saw happy faces, tired ones, others who seemed to eat too much, and some who were still making new friends. She looked back at Ella, "Ella, do you think they'd ever end this feast? Sleep is dragging me inch by inch every passing minute."

"Welcome to Gryffindor!" Tayla said cheerfully and clapped with the other Gryffindors as the girl reached the table.

"I'm Tayla Barnhill. I'm a first year, too," Tayla began again. "That's Sophie, she continued, pointing at the fair-skinned brunette wearing a prefect badge. "She's the Gryffindor prefect," she explained kindly.

Smiling Ella looked aorund again. Quite a few Prefects.. she thought to herself.

"Oh!" Emily smiled as she returned the hug. She hadn't been expecting that. "Yeah we should! Sunny's the most adorable thing ever! You'll just die!" Not literaly but she knew what she meant.
She looked around the table as Nika spoke. "Yeah your right! There's loads of 'em! And knew teachers. That reminds me..." she said taking another sip of her soup "I overheard the teachers at the staff table talking about that ship they found. You know, the one we read about in the newspaper?" She probably did, she just wanted to make sure. "Well Headmaster Tate told professor Vindictus we would be allowed on it! So we could play pirate!" she laughed and took a swig of pumpkin juise. Man this stuff was goooooood.

Matilda: I agree with you William. By the way I am pureblood witch. What is your bloodstatus?
