Her muggle school had been one of those built back in the 60s when the government thought it would be a marvellous idea to pull down the old historic buildings and replace them with massive ugly blocks of concrete.. which was exactly what her school and home were. At school, there weren't enough classrooms for the masses of kids in the area, so they had mobile classrooms lined up outside on the yard where you would go and sit and freeze your bum off, even in the middle of summer, and learn nothing. This... this old castle with it's MASSIVE cosy hall and roaring fires and that --she looked wide eyed up at the enchanted ceiling, gasping at what she saw. This place was just incredible: magical; out of this world. The wee lassy couldn't quite believe she was actually here. She never had such good luck. She was rather frightened she was going to wake up at any moment and be brought back to reality.

The hat, which had made her giggle when it started talking, had told her rather loudly that she was a Gryffindor! so she thought she better head on over to the table where the kids surrounded by lions and red sat.

She went to the first vacant seat she saw and sat, big brown eyes taking everything in with a slightly bewildered look on her face. Floating candles... and plates re-filling themselves. O___O ..Just... WOW! She placed her hands in her lap and looked at the kids around her sending smiles this way and that. Everyone seemed very excited.. and already in their own groups. She really didn't like to interrupt anything so she just sat and quietly listened to the chitter chatter going on around her.
From over at Kurumi's side, Heather noticed a girl seated on her own at the far end, looking as if she were nervous. She instantly remembered her first time in Hogwarts-and she giggled at the thought. Perhaps, it was her turn to spread the cheer on the newbies. It was a chance to make new friends and to ease up the nervousness the girl had-if she really were nervous.

And she did promise Rex, a former senior, that she'd be more confident this year.

Now, hopefully the girl won't mistake her as a fellow freshman as well, given she looked one still even though she was already in 3rd year.

taking a chocolate frog in her pocket, she approached the girl, feeling her self getting nervous at getting to know someone, but she's like the older one here now. no sense in being nervous around someone who's already nervous.

"H-hi." she said, giving the girl a smile. "I'm Heather...welcome to Gryffindor. Would you like a chocolate frog?" her smile widened even more. At least her next sentence had less stuttering now.
