Ginger squirmed in Selina's hand, sniffing her slightly.
And slowly rubbing her wet nose on her hand to get a better scent.
Nice girl...friendly...she sneezed suddenly. A loud, loud sound from the itsy-bitzy thing.
Kyle looked up as she heard Selina call over to her - oh boy was she relieved.
Quickly she left her table running, tripping and skidding her knee ouch she thought wincing as she stood up and walked the rest of the way over.
"Thank you sooo much" She smiled to Selina Ginger looked happy where she was though, she realized. She quickly held out her arms in a dramatized fashion.
"Hug?" She asked - and before she could get an answer she had swooped in and hugged Selina tightly. Aw, she was sooo happy to have Ginger safe and not say, near someone who didn't like cats and could therefore hurt her.
She looked up after letting go, and blushed as she saw Simon looking over.
"Hey Simon" she smiled. "She's a sneaky one" she said pointing to Ginger.
Ginger wiggled some more, freeing herself from Selina's grasp.
With a soft plop she landed on her lap.
Mewing some more she jumped down the table some more.
Finally stopping on Simon's lap, where she proceeded to walk in a circle and curl up - yes, she liked Simon...he was friendly, he didn't kick her out of a compartment earlier, she remembered thinking of hissing at the one who had kicked her out earlier.
But too relaxed.
"Mew" she sounded one last time before she began to purr softly - yet still like a jackhammer.
When Kyle fell it was like slow motion. Selina wanted to help, but she couldn't make it in time and her hands were also full of fur, "Are you alright?"
"No problem-" Selina began, but before she could get any further she was sucked into a vortex hug that was unexpected and nice at the same time. Kyle was sweet and Selina was glad that she could help get Ginger back in the right hands. Of course after Kyle let go it seemed liked Ginger did not want to go back into the right hands. She plopped down on Selina's lap then proceeded to parade onto Simon's. It was in his lap that the cat seemed most happy.

Sure enough Kyle was soon rushing towards the Gryffindor table and unfortunately for her she was apparently destined to fall in front of him again. Simon winced as she skidded about to ask if she was alright when his fellow Gryffindor beat him to it so it let it be as he watched the Ravenclaw with a look of concern anyway.
"Hey ," he said simply noticing the blush buy chosing to ignore it like Selina's earlier flush. "Yes she very much appears to be," he mused with a chuckle at the feline. The captain watched with amusement as Ginger slipped from Selina's grasp and truddled over to him, settling into a curled up ball on his lap after pawing him to make herself comfortable. " Hello Tayla" William replied back. " Tayla is an interesting name" William said to her. William thought to himself that Tayla really does not want to be freinds with him..
"Thanks. You can call me Tay for short," Tayla replied awkwardly. She felt uncomfortable around William, thanks to the 'cute girl' comment. It was flattering, but she wasn't used to it. "Starr's an interesting last name...are you a pureblood?" she asked, trying to be more friendly this time around.

Then turning to Simon as she spoke she couldn't help but smile. "Yeah I'd say I picked up a kitten that was exactly like me - at least its what my mum always said - that I'm feisty" she explained with a laugh. She couldn't help but let out a little awe, as Ginger settled onto Simon's lap.
"I think our assumption from on the train was right - Ginger definitely likes you! Both of you," she smiled. After all, Ginger did jump onto Selina's lap first and them paraded down to Simon's. With a laugh, she smiled. "You know, I think I hardly make an entrance anywhere without tripping - at least it wasn't like when I met you Simon - face planting onto those books" she laughed. That actually did hurt - more out of embarrassment than anything else.
Ginger pressed herself into Simon's hand when he pet her - it felt wonderful. Aw, happy...she was happy, and he was comfortable.
She began to purr even more loudly.

Smiling slightly she gave a nod/shrug. "Most of it was like a dream. I went to Antarctica, Greece, all over London, to Jim's house and... then to Godric's Hollow," she said and at the last her face fell a bit.
Shaking herself from the bad memory she smiled again and continued, "Salander and I stayed in the most lovely little villa in Santorini for a while. It was amazing. What about you? How was your holiday?" she asked.
Rufus was finally past his initial scare and scuttled up Lexi's robes and came to rest on her shoulder all comfy and whatnot.
Caroline could not believe that it was time to be back at Hogwarts again. It would be her sixth year of Hogwarts. The past term had gone by so quicky. But it had been Caroline's best and favorite, her had made amazing friends, had the best boyfriend in the world last term, so this next term could only get better, right?
She found a seat at the table. This summer Caroline and her mother had gotten along amazingly well. The best in years. Her mum's new husband was pretty awesome. She had been the maid of honor in her brother Casey and Sarah's wedding. She had gotten to spend time with her friends and boyfriend a little and even made some new one's this summer, spent time in New York with her sister Starr. But it was the best summer ever, and she never wanted it to end, but at the same time she was so happy to be back at Hogwarts.

Evelyn had no clue why Lexi seemed a bit down about speaking about Godric's Hollow, though the rest of her summer seemed nice. Was the Slytherin jealous? Maybe No. Psshh.
And she had no clue where Santorini was.
"That sounds nice." she nodded slowly after being asked how her own holiday was, staring at the window across from her at the side of the room. Her own holiday? She couldn't even begin to think how to phrase it in words that wouldn't seem too vague, much less think of a reason why she was being this nice to Lexi. "My holiday was nice." Mmhmm. "I got a horse."

Feeling a tap on her shoulder, Kyle turned around and couldn't help but smile.

She's really hated that she had to leave in such a hurry but maid of honnor duties called again with yet another wedding plan mix up and Sarah pulled her away from yet another friend so Caroline could help her fix it. She smiled politely to the girll that she introuced her "Hello I'm Caroline" She said with another smile. "That's great." It was always nice meeting someone new from your own house.

Kyle was so happy to have introduced the two, yes, hopefully they could all be friends...even Simon, Selina, Katra, Caroline - all of them. It would be spectacular. She smiled softly, sighing a bit.
Seeing Ginger, was happy, she took a seat next to Caroline, "So how was your summer - and we have to finish our little chat from this summer at some point...you know the one about the party-thing" Kyle explained her tone hushed. She then turned to Katra and smiled.
"Come, sit with us," she smiled happily. "Anyways how are the two of you?" She asked still smiling. Glancing over to a certain Gryffindor boy as she sat down - slyly of course.

Kurumi giggled a little as Lexi spoke. Somehow, the older lioness always had a way of making her feel better, just like a family member would. "Thank you, Lexi. For everything," she smiled resting her head on the older girl's shoulder. "I really don't know what I would do without you."
Kurumi blinked in surprise as Lexi removed a tear from her face. She really couldn't laugh about many things in her life, but she wasn't sure that she could just tuck them away in a box and pretend that they didn't matter.
Smiling, she nodded. She certainly felt like she had been cut deep that that salt was being rubbed in the wound with sprinkles of lemon juice now and again.
"I guess this means I will pour everything I have into yearbook...and other things," she giggled with a wink.

"Summer was alright," she shrugged. "Father is working half the time at the Daily Prophet now, so I got to spend more time in Diagon Alley." She padded her pockets for a moment searching for the gift she had bought Hugo and her other friends, but realized that she must have left them in her trunk. "I bought you something, but I will have to give it to you later. I bought it when I went on a trip with my mother and brothers right before the term began."

Quickly, she bowed her head and let her brown curls cover her face. "Uh..Mm.. I-if y-you d-d-don't mind me asking.. C-could I a-ask your name p-p-please?"

'I'm just meeting my housemates now.' she smiled. 'Haven't met only one Gryffindor on Diagon Alley and I was beginning to realise most of my friends were Slytherins and Ravenclaws and that I knew so few lions. But now, I'm surrounded by them, they're everywhere, how can I not make friends?' she laughed. 'Most of them are friendly, chatty and noisy, but some are shy. All in all, they'll make great housemates.' Ari concluded.
'Have you eaten anything? You must try the mashed potatoes, they're delicious.' Ariadne recommended. 'Do you want to take a seat? I could make some room for you, I feel bad that you're standing.' she offered.

With props in her hand and an impish grin on her face, she knelt down beside Ari's chair.
Ari was turned the other way, talking to another student. Melina slowly reached her hands up to the table, one hand holding the biscuit flat in her palm and the other holding the cone upside-down on the biscuit. In her best impression of the Sorting hat, she announced, "Hmmmm...right...I see bravery...smarts... and a healthy appetite for sweets!" Ari turned around to see a dessert shaped crudely like a hat talking to her like a puppet.
Melina grinned up at her friend and couldn't hold her laughter-or her excitement-back any longer. She popped up next to Ari and squealed. "ARI!!! You got into Gryffindor- I'm soooo happy for you! It's just what you hoped for!" She threw her arms around her best friend and bounced up and down.
"What do you think of all this? Can you believe it's real? Can you believe we're really here?!"
Ari had been so overwhelmed when the Sorting Hat had shouted Gryffindor, that she didn't distinguish the voices cheering for her. She didn't even make it to her housetable when Melina was being sorted, since their surnames where very close in alphabetical order. She cheered too when Mel got in Ravenclaw, but felt a pang of sadness that they wouldn't be in the same House.
She had meant to walk to the Ravenclaw table to congratulate her friend, but got caught in the noise and cheerfulness at her own house table, and became engrossed in conversation with her fellow housemates. She only got distracted when hearing a familiar voice. She turned around to greet Melina, but remained speechless at the scene in front of her.
Ari burst out laughing at the sight of the impromptu Sorting Hat. It took several minutes to compose herself. 'That pretty much sums it all up, except you forgot craziness and fondness of it.' she said, still chuckling.
'Thanks, I'm happy for you too, you got the intelligent House, congratulations!' Ariadne said, returning the hug. 'The only thing I'm sorry for is that we won't be roommates. But I'll make sure we meet everyday. And anyway, aren't our Common Rooms on the same floor? In the towers?' the girl wondered.
'It's fantastic! But I still can't believe it, probably tomorrow when I wake up I'll be shocked to see my new surroundings. I think it'll really sink in after I earn-or lose, for that matter-my first housepoints.' she commented. 'How do you feel about it?'

" I heard he swore off all girls forever" William sighed." Please, he would like Fee to come over to Jason's and you should come over,too" William just shrugeed.
"Yeah yeah," Hugo said with a frown, looking around for more of his friends.
Hugo gasped. "That's awful! Why did she leave him?" Hugo asked, thinking about good ol' Rex. It was quite sad. They were going to get married. Sigh. "Who's Jason?" he asked, hoping he hadn't asked another stupid question.

"Mother wanted to take my brothers and I down to one of the cities richest in Japanese culture and tradition...so she took my brothers and I to Kyoto," Kurumi explained taking another sip of pumpkin juice. "Takashi thinks that she is getting worried that we are all going to forget where we come from since all of us are overseas more now." Not that Kurumi minded. She was rather happy to be away from her small town that would rather not have her and her family around. "We went to many temples and shrines. That's where I got you your gift." She giggled a bit as she remembered scrutinizing over each charm and wondering which one would be best for each person.
"I've never been more ready for classes," she nodded clapping her hands together. "There are so many new professors this term, so it makes me a bit nervous. But..." She leaned in and lowered her voice a bit. "...when I went to the staff table to deliver cookies...Professor Lafay actually complimented me! She even charmed the cookie to stay that way and banished it to her office."

"Veela? I think I've read about that somewhere..." Tayla bit her lip in thought. "They're supposed to be really beautiful beings - half human, half magical creature. If you're 1/4th Veela, then...I guess your grandmother's one?" Tayla sat up straighter. She liked talking about magical things like this, especially when she's read about them. "Oh, and I'm half-and-half. Dad's a Muggle. Mum's a Witch."
