Gryffindor Girls' Dormitories
In the Gryffindor common room, you'll find two doors that open to spiral staircases. These staircases lead the dormitories for both boys and girls. Be sure that you proceed to the correct dormitory, though. There are strict house rules that prevent boys from entering the girls' dormitory and girls from entering the boys' dormitory. As a matter of fact, the stairs that lead to the girls' dormitory have been charmed to turn into a slide shall any boy attempt to climb them.
To be on the safe side, remember that boys' dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls' dormitories are upstairs and to the left. | |

Ginny walked defeatedly up to the girls' dormitory. She had always imagined her first evening at Hogwarts to be full of fun and magic, and that she would spend most of the time laughing with her new friends.
Instead, it was full of failed conversations and homesickness. She couldn't help but feel a little excited at the classes starting soon, but she still felt so alone in a room full of other happy Gryffindor girls.

She had them both since she was little! The only other things in her bag were a few clothing items, some second-hand books and robes, and her nargle protective gear. And two pairs of shoes. Second hand dress shoes and a pair of pearly white Keds. It was all she owned.
She flopped onto her four poster bed, not bothering to draw the scarlet curtains. Then she saw a little girl off in her bed dreaming. "Sely? Are you asleep?" Elyon inquired the girl brightly. Selina was one of her best and only friends, after all.
