Ginny walked defeatedly up to the girls' dormitory. She had always imagined her first evening at Hogwarts to be full of fun and magic, and that she would spend most of the time laughing with her new friends.
Instead, it was full of failed conversations and homesickness. She couldn't help but feel a little excited at the classes starting soon, but she still felt so alone in a room full of other happy Gryffindor girls.
