In the Gryffindor common room, you'll find two doors that open to spiral staircases. These staircases lead the dormitories for both boys and girls. Be sure that you proceed to the correct dormitory, though. There are strict house rules that prevent boys from entering the girls' dormitory and girls from entering the boys' dormitory. As a matter of fact, the stairs that lead to the girls' dormitory have been charmed to turn into a slide shall any boy attempt to climb them.
To be on the safe side, remember that boys' dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls' dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
"I still haven't met him yet Cove!" She said in mock anger. "Oh no! Tell the other John to back off! OR I can do it for you!" She said bouncing. "Well I guess you'll know for sure when your in love." She said making some weird faces as she thought about it. "I guess when you know you'll know it in your gut that it's real?" Eh okay. Twelve year old love consultant? Not such a great Idea.
"You can do it. Although my John hasn't seen anything." Thank God he hasn't. that would not be good. "I like my John a lot better anyway."

Heather awoke a bit late to a chilly Saturday morning. Everyone else seems to have gone out of the dormitory now for she was all alone with Mr. panda, her doll. She yawned, got up and stretched her arms, bent on her sides and exercised.
"you know Mr. panda...I'v never felt so energetic since I started this morning stretching routine. I really like these tasks now." she said, finishing her stretches and plopping down on her bed, legs stretched and trying to reach her toes to which she was successful at. "'Trying to touch my toes is also stretching, i guess." she told her doll.
After a few minutes, she jumped off her bed and dressed quickly. "Ah~! I feel really good today." she then strode towards the door. "Mr. Panda, hand my journal please. I got to write this down."
ad just like that, the doll handed her DADA journal.
Rosemary nodded, "Aye... I am a proper Scottish Lass, borne and bred from the homeland!" She chuckled as she let her Scottish accent fully flow.
Tayla chuckled along with Rosemary. "That is so cool!" she said, impressed by Rosemary's Scottish accent. "I guess this is a silly question but...do you know how to play the bagpipes?"

Rosemary chuckled as she shook her head, "No.... I don't personally... It is predominantly the men who play the Bagpipes... The girls and the women sing and dance along to them, occasionally adding accompaniment." She explained, "It can be fun... Except when Uncle Aerius has a couple too many!" She giggled.

She finished up the song and looked at Tayla. "It's a really old song so I wouldn't be surprised if you've never heard of it. I found it in one of my mom's old boxes that she keeps in the attic! My attic is full of so many adventures. Although the CD was probably her great grandmother's or something before it was her mom's. "It's by someone named erm- Hilary Duff I think." She said slowly trying to remember the face on the front cover. "It's one of my favorite songs now!

She looked into her bag and remembered the two chocolate frogs she had kept with her from a while ago. It had been one of the classes. Yippee! A fellow first year! Jackie grinned. 'Seven brothers?' she stammered. 'Oh my gosh! That's so cool....I'm a loner, in the sense I am the only kid. Being an only kid makes you feel overwhelmed in a place like Hogwarts. You must be used to a crowd.' Jackie mused. 'But...seven brothers...wow! I've always wanted an elder brother.'

44 years was not so much in the wizarding world, considering witches and wizards could live well over 100, just like the ones in Ari's family. 'Yes, I suppose that wasn't an impediment.' the girl nodded. 'Wow, were you? Well I suppose you do look like her, from what pictures I've seen of her in books.' Ari mused.
'You did a lot! I like swimming, it's the only part that I really want to do, but I thought the water was too cold, isn't it?' the firstie was a bit confused. 'Not the actual dancing is problematic, but asking a boy to partner up with me. However, I finally asked a friend today. What about you?' Ariadne asked her friend.

"Well it seems they would know her, she was a pretty important person according to what my family says. They share lots of stories about back when Voldemort was gaining power! "Seven brothers can be a handful! And some of my brothers can be quite annoying. Being basically the only girl in the house can be kind of boring..." Ronnie said, thinking of how lonely it was at home but how fun it was at Hogwarts. "Well if you ever get bored at your house, you are welcome to come to my house, maybe we can play quidditch!" Ronnie said excitedly. She loved quidditch. It was an amazing sport.

Tayla clapped for Nika. "That was beautiful, Nika! And I definitely like the song." Tayla bit her lip in thought. "Hmmm...Hilary Duff...sounds familiar, but I'm not sure. Must be during Grandma Guita's time. But she's not a Muggle so I doubt she knows that singer.
"Did you bring the CD here, Nika? Although...it won't work anyway. I almost forgot Muggle machines don't work in Hogwarts," Tayla said, remembering what she read in Hogwarts, A History.

"Woops!" Grandpa Ric exclaimed, still grinning. He had caught the Quaffle. "Remember Tayla, it's not how hard you throw, but how well you aim."
Tayla nodded. She fiddled with the locket around her neck, and the next moment, her Grandpa Ric had disappeared. Her broom did, too. She was no longer in the air, but on the ground. Standing in front of her was her grandmother. She had tears in her eyes. "Grandma Guita," Tayla said.
"Tayla..." Grandma Guita said with a sob and hugged Tayla.
Tayla's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What's wrong?" Tayla face broke into a smile. "Grandma, don't cry! Grandpa's alive! Grandpa Ric's alive! We were playing Quidditch and..."
Grandma Guita just shook her head and then touched the locket around Tayla's neck. "I promised him I'd give this to you," she said quietly. "You'll know when it's time. Just like I did." She hugged Tayla once more and walked away.
"But...Grandma Guita? Grandma!" Tayla started crying, too, but she didn't know why. "Grandma Guita! Grandpa Ric! I don't understand... Come back! Come back!"
Tayla twisted and turned on her bed. "Come back!" she shouted, sitting up and realizing she had startled some of the girls in the room. She was sweating all over. Her hand was fiddling with her locket again. It wasn't a bad dream. At least at first it wasn't. But she couldn't stop herself.
She buried her face in her hands and tried to hide the tears from her eyes.
"Ugh..." she said softly to herself. She breathed in deeply and hastily wiped the tears from her eyes.
Tayla got up, opened her trunk, and changed to a sweater, pants, and running shoes. She needed to run or fly. "Perfect opportunity for that DADA assignment..." she thought, still wondering why she felt so strange. "Pathways first...then the Quidditch pitch...I need ...speed...wind against my face..."

Nika skipped into the room and jumped onto her bed. It's not like she was going to sleep or anything. She just didn't want to stay out of the castle after hours. Not alone anyways.

CeCe had never seen this girl around the school before. Realizing that Selina was her only friend at the moment, and that she needed to be more nice and social CeCe walked over to the girls bed post and hanged on the wooden pole.

Nika beamed at the girl who walked over. Hmm maybe being quiet was actually a better approach for getting people to talk to you. Hmm... She'd have to consider that. Normally Nika would have skipped into the dormitories and said a loud hello to everyone, but this way seemed to work better.
She smiled at the new face as she tried to put it with the name. CeCe and face. Got it. Hehe. "Hiya CeCe!" She said enthusiastically. "I'm Nika! Nice to meet cha!"
Cove walked into the dorm and laid down on her bed. Her back hurt sooooo badly. Swimming in the lake most of the day and then practicing for almost three hours wiped her out. She was sore all over.
