Emily was just closing her eyes when Elaine came bounding into the room.
"Yeah, sure..." she said putting her hands over her eyes and lying back on her own bed. Elaine was so loud! "How are you not tired? I'm exahusted so keep it down a bit, yeah?" she could feel a head ache coming on...

Emily sat up and smiled at the other girl adressed her. "Ooh Elle's such a pritty name! I'm Emily Smith, second year. Nice to meet you too!" she held out her hand for them to shake. Elle. Elle that was really nice!
"So are you excited for your first year here?" she was still tired but she never missed an opertunity to make new friends.

Again, Emily sat up and smiled as Nika entered the dorm. "Hi Nika-aaaaa" she said yawning. "How on earth are you not tired? I'm exahuste-eeeeeed" and again she yawned as she spoke. Everyone was so hyper on their first night!

She jumped on the bed, 'Boy this thing is bouncy!'
"Heh, sorry!" Elaine grinned, scratching the back of her head. "I slept on the train, plus I had a loooottt of sugar!" her grin widened.
"Want one?" she held the bag out to Emily.

Just what she needed. A hyper Elaine.
"Um, what are they?" Sweets she got, but what kind. She was quite picky you know.
She put her hands behind her head and watched Elaine bounce. It was making her dizzy. "You should sleep. We have school and exploring to do tomorrow. Don't you want to be ready for that?" She was... well. She would be after a good nights sleep.

"There some muggle sweets, my brother got me them, so I don't really know." she answered honestly. Whatever they were, they're goood!
"Take whatever you like," she said handing Emily the bag.

"Well, yeah but I'll be fine," she said casually. "I'm used to not much sleep." Elaine lay back on the bed and pulled her socks off by the toes. It was probably a funny sight to see, but not to Elaine seeing as she nearly hit herself in the face.

"Wow, that seems so interesting. Yes...I can't wait for Quidditch! I heard that first years could at least try out for Quidditch....we probably won't have that big a chance of making the team, though. I filled out a form just in case. You should, too! I mean, you never know!" replied Ariella. She smiled.

Ariadne smiled at Rosemary's enthusiasm, which wasn't far from her own. 'I'd like one of those too, especially Transfiguration, but I don't have it in my genes, like you do. I bet it's going to be a piece of cake for you.' she chuckled.

'Hey, at least you know where your cat is. I haven't even seen Pluto this morning. And he should be easy to spot, he's grey and enormous. But I'm sure he's on the grounds somewhere. Have you seen the grounds yet?' Ari asked.

Rosemary chuckled with her, "I hope that I do.... My grandpapa told me that I've already shown my Animagus potential....Whatever that means?" She sighed as she changed into her robes.

"If you want, I can help...." She added in reference to Pluto.

'Who is your grandfather, by the way? I never found in any books details about Minerva McGonagall's personal life. Because it's private, of course, but I'm still curious.' Ari giggled. 'Animagus potential? Really? That must be amazing! Do you think you'll take the form of a cat too?' she wondered.

'That's very thoughtful of you, but I'm sure he'll show up.' Ari said, hoping she didn't sound like a bad pet owner. Soon enough, however, a big grey cat made his appearance. 'There you are!' Ari exclaimed, taking the cat in her lap. 'Well, this is Pluto.' she told Rosemary.

Pluto was the ugliest cat at the Menagerie when Ari had bought him. But in the girl's eyes he was beautiful. Ari saw beauty in the most unexpected places.

Rosemary sighed, "That's because she was very secretive..... I'm not even sure how my Great-Grandfather is.... My Grandfather is Armaedus McGonagall... One of.." Rose pondered, "He said 12? I think..... And I hope so.. If can I'm going to ask the Transfiguration teacher if I can start Animagus training!"

Rosemary looked at Pluto, "Heya Pluto...." She smiled, "He likes you.." She commented.

Nika giggled at the use of the word. Hehe funny word. Oh, suffer "language". "This place is HUGE! But it makes it all the more fun! I love going out to explore and having adventures!!" Nika said bouncing excitedly.
Nika's smile grew bigger. "I didn't get any sleep on the train and look at me! I'm practically bouncing off of the walls!!" Stupid gravity. Nika ran to the bed and jumped up on it.

"These beds are so bouncy!!" She grabbed her bags and moved them to the bed and when she looked up Elaine was already dressed in her PJ's! "WOW!" She gasped, "How did you do that?!" Or maybe she just changed while Nika wasn't looking.

Nika reached into her bags and took out her own Pajamas. She held her Bunny in her arms and gave it a kiss on it's forehead. "Missed you so much!" Then she turned back to Elaine with a smile. "So tell me a bit about yourself Elaine."

"HIYA EM!" She exclaimed. "How on earth are you not not tired?" Nika added laughing. "I think it's all of those chocolate frogs I had on the train. I've been trying to collect all of the cards, but every time I get one it's Godric Gryffindor!" she added with a sigh. "It's like they give me that card on purpose!" She had ten cards so far and they are all Godric Gryffindor. Those cards must be jinxed or something.

Arabella-Marie looked about the dorm at all the students chatting and continued to look through her trunk for her pyjamas because she had been sure that she had packed them at the top of the trunk

'Oh, I see. That's very wise of her, keeping her private life- well-private!' Ariadne mused. 'Were other members of your family involved in teaching except Minerva McGonagall?' Ari inquired.'My great-grandmother, Griselda Marchbanks, was an examiner, she examined students taking their O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts.' As for Animagus training: 'You definitely should. In fact, you shouldn't wait till classes start, you can go by her or his office anytime.' the girl suggested.


'He'd better like me, after all who feeds and pets him all day long?!' the firstie joked. 'How old is your cat? Did you just get it before coming to Hogwarts or have you had it for longer?'

Rosemary shook her head, "I don't think so... Many of them became Aurors.... And it makes sense that she follows her namesake!" She pondered, "Maybe I'll ask in the lesson, it would make sense then."

Rosemary smiled, "I can tell he likes you though, I have slight Creature Empathy.... And Selina.. My Great Aunt Serena gave her to me just as I was leaving Platform 9 3/4."

'I always admired Aurors. I suppose they're not as popular now, since there aren't any evil wizards around, but they still have a difficult job to do.' Ari answered. 'Have you thought about what you'd like to do after graduating? I know it's a long way, but still.' Ari wanted to know.

'Ah, ok, as you wish. I don't even know who the Transfiguration Professor is. I should ask an older student.' she pondered. 'Oh, so she was a leaving to Hogwarts gift, lovely.' the girl smiled.

"No thanks..." she sighed "I'd be up all night... like you." And she was tired.
She looked up just to see Elaine hit herslef in the face with her sock. "Ha!" she laughed then rolled over and fell off her bed with a loud THUMP. "Man karma!" she cried into the air.

"Because it's night! When we humans go to sleep..." like she was trying to do.
She rubbed her eyes and put on her slippers. She had realised she wasn't going to sleep with hyper friends like hers. "I have a spare of Albus Dumbeldore and Helga Hufflepuff if you want them..." she said opening her trunk and throwing them at her. "I would say if you only get Godric Gryffindor then it's a sign you are a true Gryffindor!" She laughed and scratched the back of her head. Her mind wandered to the thought of school tomorrow. "So are you looking forward to this year Nika?"

Elaine laughed.
"I'm quick!" She watched as Nika pull the rabbit teddy. "Oh! That reminds me." She opened her own case and pulled out a tiger teddy. She placed it at the top of her bed and smiled.

She turned back to Nika and grinned.
"My name's Elaine Dythaniel, I have an older brother called Alec, he's a curse breaker, and I wasn't at school last year because of an illness I got while at the Aztec temples with my brother for his job." she paused for a moment. "Yep, I think that's it. What about you?" Elaine grinned and leaned forward before picking up a sweet and said "Catch!" before throwing it over to Nika.

Rosemary shrugged, "I dunno.... Maybe be an Auror myself.... Apparently Minerva was before she became an Auror.." She looked about her then leaned in before whispering, "Only came back because Albus Dumbledore asked her?!" She grinned.

"That would be a good idea...And yeah... So I kind of named her after my aunt Serena...""

"So I guess that makes me not a human?" Nika said laughing. "Really!?! But I don't want to take 'em from you. I wanna try and get a different card on my own! I'm going to eat as many chocolate frogs until I do!" Nika said still laughing. "Besides it gives me an excuse to have them anyways." She added with a mischievous grin.

"Am I!?! YES! I'm so so so excited! I can't wait to go to divination! But I could live without potions and charms for that matter... which reminds me. Do you think we can have another charms practice session? I think it really helped me." Nika said nodding. "I wouldn't have passed the final without you Em." Nika shuddered at the awful memory. Her face was turning all sorts of unusual colors and she was getting very dizzy. Even the professor seemed to notice.
Wow. It's just like she had rehearsed her little history incase she was asked about it. "Well I don't know how I'm going to top your little story, but here's mine?" Nika giggled. She began by clearing her throat then starting, "My name is Nika Adler, Second year Gryffie as well! I have a younger sister, but we are not really getting along at the moment." She made sure to skip over the details of her sister because she didn't want to have to explain their fight again.

"I live with my family of muggles, oh I'm a muggle born. I love to sing, play football, and play music on the piano, BUT my ambition is to learn how to play the guitar!" And that's pretty much it. "Oh thanks!" Nika caught the sweet midair. YUM.

"Really??" Ginny squeaked, her smiling growing. She was going to kill her cousin for making her think that only second years could try out; this was fantastic news. "What position do you like to play?"

Elaine shrugged and put the sweets back. "You'll be missing out!"
"Serves you right!" Elaine stuck her tongue out rubbing her nose.

Ariella smiled. "I'm a seeker, but I can play chaser, too. What about you?"

"Muggle born, eh?" Elaine grinned. "That must be so cool, be born in the Wizarding World is so very dull," she laughed.
"What's football, I know it's some kind of sport, is like Quidditch?" Elaine hoped so, maybe there was a team like the Appleby Arrows.

"Oh fine!" she said pretending to be mad but stopped as she laughed at Nikas excuse to eat chocolate. "They were just spares anyway. Guess I'll just... throw them away?" she nodded opening her trunk and taking out her wand.

She sat on the end of her bed with her legs folded and her wand in her hand. "Well it's the oposite way round for me. I could live without divination and am so excited for charms! Potions I'm on the fence about..." She didn't not like it, it was just the scary dragon lady she didn't like.
"Aw thanks! But I'm sure you'd have done great without me..." she said blushing twirling her wand in her hand like a baton then dropping it. "Sure we can have another session, I found it really fun last time. BUT only on one conition..." she smiled picking her wand up again "We have another game of football on the field." She held out her hand like they were making an important buisness deal. "Do we have a deal Miss Adler?"

"Well since I'll be up all night talking to you, pass me one!" she said getting up from the floor and rubbing her shoulder. That hurt.
"Hey! Want to see some real magic in action?" she smiled, wand in hand. "My sister tought me this..."
She cleared her throut and pointed her wand at the cup on her bedside table. "Epoximise!" she cried and turned to Elaine with a slightly smug face. "Now it's stuck to the table. Go on, try to pick it up!" Cause it was stuck on their alright. Like glue.

Elaine grinned and handed the bag to Emily.
"Yeah, ok!" She watch Emily cast the spell, she tried picking up the cup it was indeed stuck. "So... how... uh, how are you going to drink out of that?" she said pointing at the cup. Elaine laughed.

"My brother taught me this one." She pointed at the cup. "Geminio!" The cup duplicated, so now there were two of the exact same cup standing side by side.
"I also know the arrow-shooting spell used by Appleby Arrows fans," she paused. "Well before it got banned,"Elaine grinned.

"Did I hear you say football? If you're playing a game of soccer, could I join you?" Cove asked another girl that was talking to Nika.

"Yeah, I;m gonna see if the Headmaster will mind if I take some pictures of the schools biggest perks for my older brother Weston. He's a wizard, but he went to the same school as me. He always wanted to see Hogwarts, but he can't travel anymore." Cove said sadly. "I'm trying to make him a sing as well, since he loves when I play the violin or piano. So I'm trying to come up with the notes and them=n record n=both parts and combine them together."
