Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby. | |

At Ari's question about subjects, Tayla recalled some of the things she started to read in their school books. "I think I'm excited for Charms and DADA the most," she replied. "I'm also excited for flying lessons! Have you started reading our books yet? They're fascinating!"
Turning to the girl near Ari, she smiled and said, "Hi there. I'm Tayla. You're Kurumi, right? The girl who baked those delicious cookies."

Orlando had figured Rufus was Jim's responsibility when the little guy had found Jim's head as his new resting place. Orlando expected Jim to return him to Lexi. But no such thing had happened, as the supposedly Yearbook Meeting had progressed, Rufus had found his way back to Orlando.
So the little guy was with him now - still clinging onto his shoulder, his little fingers holding on to the long strands of Orlando's hair. Orlando was glad, he had refused to get a hair cut before coming to Hogwarts this term. How would he have bonded with his new friend -Rufus, if he hadn't kept his messy, badly-in-need-of-a-trim hair.
Once inside the common room - Orlando found himself searching for Lexi but she was apparently not in there. Biting his lower lip, he walked over to the stairs that lead to the girl's dormitory. Stopping there, he tried to peak upstairs .. was she up there?
The possibility of going up there was zilch, of course. Just the thought of it though, made his cheeks turn red. Meeh. Fidgeting a little, the boy turned and walked near the fireplace - glad the couch was not occupied.
Well. He would have to wait for her - didn't he?
Sighing, he fell back onto the couch - hand digging into his pocket for some left over pumpkin pasties. "Yoo, Rufus? You like candyy?" he asked, taking out some and offering it the little guy.
And not to his much surprise, Rufus took some right away.
Ahh well. To wait and eat candy now.

Matt stumbled into the Common Room. He was so tired; he couldn't stop yawning, his gob gaping wide as he put his hands over the lower part of his face - manners and all that, wot? He rubbed his drooping eyes, before running his hands wearily through his floppy hair. His scarf - which hung comically round his ankles - constantly threatened to trip him over, and as he looked down to carefully watch the placement of his feet he nearly didn't the notice the beauty of the room that stood before him. And it truly was beautiful.
With a small exhilarated smile and wide curious eyes, his nose lead him gingerly towards a plate of cookies. So. Many. People. GIRLS. GIRLS. GIRLS. Gritting his teeth he waddled forwards, timidly reaching out a hand and taking one of the biscuits. | |

Elle made her way down the spiral staircase after her first night. She looked around, trying to see if anyone she knew was in the Common Room, but to no avail. So she walked in and plopped down onto a comfy chair beside the window.

Matt cleared his throat. Now that was out of the way, he could focus back on not freaking out. The amount of times he had blushed that evening was unreal, and even now a pinkish tinge was appearing to form on the tip of his nose. He smiled sheepishly up at her. He hoped the cookies hadn't been her's...Oh dear...
"Hello." He pulled the cookie away from his mouth; he wouldn't be caught hiding behind desserts, not again. "I'm s-sorry. Were these your cookies?" He desperately hoped they weren't. He pulled at his scarf, accidentally scattering biscuit crumbs onto the floor. Oops. Quote:

At least she wasn't completely mad at him. After all, she was smiling! Which was a good thing, right? Girls smiling meant they were ok?
He returned the gesture, coupled with a slight teasing scowl. Absently taking another bite of the cookie, he mustered up all his courage and asked as casually as possible: "How come you ran off with my cake earlier?" | |

All of a sudden, Ella felt like she was being watched.. Looking up she saw the fimiliar floppy brown hair of Matt.
Raising her eyebrows she looked up.. 'You weren't eating the cake! And when I gave it to you, I was trying to be nice!' Crossing her arms she stuck her tounge out at him. 'Oh and also, I ate the cake too!'

Swallowing, and trying not to choke with his uneasy breathing, the young Gryffindor tugged at his scarf again. It was like a comfort blanket. He didn't get scared so much when he wore it. "I'm Matt." he said, clearing his throat, wondering how she couldn't hear the loud THUMP THUMP THUMP of his heartbeat. "First Year." he reddened a bit more at this. Even for a first year he was weirdly small, which made everyone really big, and even more scary. "And you...?" He smiled another sheepish smile, pushing his fringe out of his eyes. Quote:

With another yawn, he peered down at her cat, sleeping contentedly in her lap. He could do with a sleep right about now. Unfortuneately, the terror of all these female bodies had woken him up again. "Cute cat." he said, with a small smile.

She didn't know what it meant and why she was, but it bothers her. A lot.

Noticing his eating standards probably weren't topnotch, he quickly swallowed, wanting to apologise, but this, coupled with his utter terror, meant he was breathing funny. Okay...Bit of an understatement. If he wasn't such a pro at hiding it, he would've sounded like a fish desperate for water. ...And then he started choking. Brilliant. Biting back the urge to splutter, eyes streaming, he quickly grabbed a half-drunken glass of butterbeer from a nearby table and threw it down his throat. Bit stale, but atleast he wasn't choking anymore.
With an apologetic grin, he turned back to "Danielle Zara Griffiths" - well, Zara. "Sorry.." He absently rubbed his chin, avoiding her gaze. "I'm a bit of a clutz... He paused, turning back to smile. But, nice to meet you anyway!" | |
