She was really happy to be able to lend a hand to Kurumi through listening to her story. Zara found it nice to be able to hear the stories of her friends, and to tell them stories of her own. They were sharing problems, sharing happiness, sharing sadness, sharing adventure--sharing lives.
Kurumi smiled and nodded as Walnut began to purr loudly on her lap. At least he seemed pleased with these developments, which meant that first year's shoes were safe for the time being.
"
So, Zara," she said looking back up and the girl and deciding it would be a good thing if they changed subjects. "
How are you liking Hogwarts so far? I was overwhelmed when I first came, but that was mainly due to my knowing nothing about this world. I grew up non-magical, as I mentioned, due to my mother's wishes. Father is a pureblood, but mother is afraid of magic."

Kurumi looked up from her notes about Transfiguration and saw a young girl examining the note she had left the night before beside the box of cookies. She sure hoped that they had stayed fresh and the charm she had placed around the box to prevent them from going stale had kept. She hadn't been around magic much during the summer, minus the few weeks she had been able to stay with her father, so her theory and application were a bit rusty.
"
I'm Kurumi," she chirped from the couch not being able to move due to a certain snoring cat on her lap.
