Rose walked upto the mirror and told herself 'I'm going to do well in school'
'To do this I will study hard and do the best I can do!' Rose repeated this to herself for a while. 'Silly 'Lord Borr's' assignment!' Rose thought

Ariadne entered the girls' bathroom on the second floor with one thing in mind: Borr's assignment. She didn't even feel silly anymore, noticing that other girls were here for the same reason. Confidently, she approached one of the mirrors and looked at her reflection.

Gosh! She still had a trace of chocolate on her face. The girl wiped it quickly. 'FOCUS' she said to herself. Looking in the mirror again, she started: 'One of my goals is to...' but couldn't finish, nearly choking with laughter. It was so weird to talk to yourself!

However, this task needed to be completed. So the tiny girl took a deep breath and continued. '...to earn housepoints. To achieve this, I will participate in class and work hard on homework.' She still had to fight a fit of giggles. 'This would also help me with my other goal, to do well in school.'

What else? 'I would like to have a successful career later on. For that, I must first do well in school, so all my objectives kind of depend on each other.' Amazing spirit of observation...

'And I want to have good friends. For that, I must socialize and interract more.' Hmph. Easy to say, harder to do. 'But I should also be myself.' Ariadne concluded. But she wasn't done yet, as it still amused her greatly.

Sarah bowed to the seventh year with a wide smile. "Knowing someone like you is great!" she expressed. "Hopefully I'm your friend by now...?" she trailed off. Many seniors don't consider small ones as their friends, or even, respect them. That's what she learnt from her muggle school. "And... You've got a nice name" she said a bit awkwardly. Library? Library?? Wow.. that's the one place I love in this whole school.! she thought. "Yah sure, anytime you wish" she said.

Same, I'm just being judgemental Amy grinned at her, there's one Snake I will never ever ever get on with so I'm a little harsh about the house. But you know, they aren't that bad, she shrugged, yeah, but at the time I had a proper career and I was ducking in and out of the year to get to auditions and it cost a packet, so it was easier to go to a stage school to refine talent and it was in London to get to the auditions. She nodded, but it wasn't fun like here, even though it was magical. Nothing beats Hogwarts Amy grinned, besides I fired my agent so I could come back and I'd rather be here than there. Soooo competitive she nodded, sighing.

She didn't miss it. At all...well, maybe a little

Amy grinned..the name deffinatley sounded familiar. AH. that was it she nodded, at her, Potter story. She'd read it, not by choice but she'd done it. Yeah, unfortunatley Amy sighed

I seriously need to get around to completing my homework, thought Viola as she entered the girls bathroom. And the DADA assignment. She'd started with it but she still had loads to do. Urgh. Life would be so easy without homework, assignment and studies.

Huh. What was that? Was someone actually talking to herself? She turned around and noticed a Gryffie girl standing in front of the mirror and saying something. AH! The DADA assignment. Talking in front of the mirror about your goals. Was it goals? She wasn't sure. Seems weird. Anyway.."Hey." Viola smiled at the girl. "The assignment, uh?"

Kyle smiled over to Sarah as she said she hoped she was considered a friend by now, of course she was. Kyle wasn't like some of those other 'older' students who treated the younger students horribly because they were simply younger. "Of course I do - I'm more than willing to be friends with anyone really...and everyone at that" she smiled happily, she was after all one of the most accepting students you could find. "Oh thank you its actually more a nickname, my first name was really Kyleigh but - I just felt Kyle fit me more that sounds great - and don't worry I won't be hard on you like some of the other students" she smiled happily chuckling a little at the final comment she had said.

Ariadne knew this was going to come sooner or later. Making a fool of herself. She mentally cursed Lord Borr and his assignments and then focused her energy on convincing the other girl that she wasn't crazy. 'Um, yes, the stupid assignment. It would've been a lot better if we could have just written our goals on a piece of parchment rather than talking to ourselves. But I must say doing this in the girls' bathroom wasn't one of my brightest ideas.' Ari tried to laugh it off.

'Have you started the assignment? There's quite a lot we have to do. Swimming in the lake is the only task I like.' the brunette said. 'Oh, I am Ariadne Marchbanks, or simply Ari.' she eventually introduced herself and smiled.

Viola smiled. "I know! Talking to a mirror about your goals seems really silly. I mean, what's the point? Aw. I don't think so. It seems like a pretty good idea." Viola tried to comfort her. "Really! Some of these tasks are just ridiculous. Like, Karate?" Viola continued, snorting with laughter.

"Well, yeah. I have. Yep. I finished swimming in the lake. I also went running." Although, not for 5 miles. But, that's not the point. "Nice to meet you, Ari." Viola smiled back. "I'm Viola. A second year Huffie."

Nika walked into the bathroom like she did last week, but this time it wasn't for talking to herself in the mirror it was for meditating. Okay so you might be wondering why someone would go to meditate in a bathroom, but there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for this.

Bathrooms are quiet.

Well most of the time. So Nika walked into the bathroom went into a stall and put down the toilet seat. She climbed on top of it and sat crossing her legs over each other like she had seen been done in movies. She made to "OK" signs with her hands and laid them on her legs.

Now to being mediating.

Last time the role model she chose to meditate on was Rex. But who this week? Maybe Ghandi or something. Yeah alright Ghandi's good. So she sat there for 100 minutes meditating on Ghandi.

"OOOOOOMMMM" He was such a peaceful person. "OOOOOOMMMM An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. ""OOOOOOMMMM" Was always happy with a simplistic lifestyle. "OOOOOOMMMM

The 100 minutes were up and Nika walked out of the stall and looked around hoping that no one was staring at her. Her "OOOMMM"s were actually pretty loud.

Ari smiled. 'It was stupid of me, but I blame it all on Lord Borr.And the karate part I'll never do.' she replied. 'I wanted to go swimming but it got very cold now so I'll wait till spring. Where did you go running?' The grounds, where else? D'uh. Ari: Queen of stupid questions.

'Nice to meet you too, Viola.' the Gryffindor firstie said, sincerely. 'Second year, huh? So what's your favourite memory from your first year at Hogwarts?' Ariadne asked, looking for tips on how to make her year even more memorable.

Kimalia came in to wash off her small amount of eyeliner before going on her daily jog throughout the halls onto the Quidditch Pitch. She was extremely happy, knowing that she was still top at earning house points. "No slacking off now, the other people will catch up to me soon." She hoped the next class had plenty of chances for her to earn more points. How cool would that be, first year helping win the House Cup? Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud "OOOOMMMM" noise. Looking into the mirror eyeing at the stall through the reflection she did her best not to question the reasoning for this. Suddenly she heard the stall door about to creak after a while of staring, quickly to hide her obvious facial expression she went back to pretending to dab her cheeks of any remaining makeup.

Looking once again she noticed it was Nika, and not wanting to miss this opportunity she asked. "Nice place for meditation." She smiled. "I never thought about doing that here." Indeed, she always did it right before falling asleep in her dorm alone.

Just when she thought no one had heard her, or everyone just tried to ignore it. Someone had to bring it up. Her face began to redden as someone addressed her. Oh, it was the Slytherin she had talked to a few times. "Actually you'd be surprised to how peaceful it is in here." She said not really aware of what words were coming out of her mouth. Now she's just making stuff up.

"You here to meditate too?" Or maybe Kimalia was just here to do what a normal person would do in a bathroom. Wash there hands, apply makeup, maybe just maybe to use the restroom.

Kimalia after hearing her explanation considered doing that next time. "Well, I do like to talk into the mirror sometimes, otherwise I wait until everyone's asleep in my dorm." Kimalia turned back to the mirror to brush out her hair. "It seems weird how that's all we have to do this term, no teacher or any D.A.D.A classes." There was good and bad points, good in that she could concentrate on other classes, bad in fearing she might not pass the exam for that without a teacher's aide.

Nika nodded her head slowly, "That's a good idea! While everyone's sleeping. I've got to try that. I meditated at the study section last time. Thinking about meditating in the great hall next time." Hehe that would be fun. Sitting on the table meditating. And saying her "OOOOOMMMS". Yes, next time she shall do that.

"Yeah it is quite odd." She agreed. "I mean first this Lord What's-his-face doesn't show up to the feast and now he's giving us weird assignments?" What did singing to others have to do with DADA? OR Karate even because they had wands for that stuff, do they not? "I sorta wish that we had classes though because all of this journal writing is making me tired." She said truthfully. Even if her journal was half rambling about whatever. She did like to vent in there, but it just wasn't very fun.

Kimalia's eyes widened at the idea. "Oh my gosh, if you do that I'm sooo joining you!" She then laughed at the idea of everyone else probably joining them on the table to chant one by one. Hearing about the journal had her thinking. "Hmm, it does seem kind of odd how he will be reading everybody's journals of progress.." Kimalia stopped there in case it was wrong to question a teacher's motives. "Maybe next term assuming he's still here we'll be putting all this practice to good use?"

Nika nodded and jumped out of excitement. "Yeah! That would be awesome!" This excited her a lot. Now she wouldn't be making a fool of herself alone. "Yeah your right it is a bit weird. I've been writing my entries to my journal. My journal's name is journal. I tried naming him Momo but it got to complicated." She said chuckling. She wasn't kidding either. "Yeah but I've always been writing my entries to my Journal and not really to him." Maybe now she should change her little notes to her journal to little random notes to lordyfaceguy. "I wonder what he's up to though. Last term DADA was really boring because we only really talked about stuff." No actually preforming magic. Nope. "Maybe he's trying to start up a student army." MAYBE Nika's prediction of the student run chainshaw chainsaw army was right!

"Aha, I get you." Kimalia replied back. "I never really name my journals cause I'll forget eventually." Listening to her thoughts of a possible student army had her thinking. "An army.. I guess if we were all going to be aurors." Not that she would want to be an auror, but at least know the basics in defending herself. "Who knows, it definitely gives us loads of time to relax until then." Kimalia ran her fingers through her hair to make sure there wasn't any tangles. I wonder how Astronomy class will be like. Her thoughts had went back to her other classes. "So what d'you think about all the other teachers?"

"Well it's okay because I don't think other people name their journals either so your not alone." Actually normal people don't name their journals. Nika's not normal though, she's Nika. There really is no other way to describe her. Clumsy and cheerful maybe, but Nika is a Nika.

Now what was Kimalia saying again.

Right. Auror. Wait what's an "Auror" again... Jeez. Out of all of the muggleborns out there Nika's probably the worst. She can never remember all of this wizarding stuff. It's hard enough for her to remember to call her family and everyone else muggles then you have to add all of these other wizarding words to it. It's just mind boggling and it's too much for her. Being a Nika she has to take things one at a time.

Well there really isn't any point in asking Kimalia what an "Auror" is. Because then she has to explain why she doesn't know and it just brings up unnecessary conversation that will drive them away from what they're talking about right now. So she's just going to nod and smile. "Right. Aurors!" She said beaming. Nod. Smile. Nod. Smile. Nod. Blink. Smile. Nod. Smile. Nod. Blink. Breathe.

Ah teachers. Well Nika could talk about them forever. Hehe. She had a lot of thoughts about them. "Well there are actually a lot of new ones this year." Professors. The best topic of all. Too bad Slayen wasn't there anymore. She was a fun one to talk about. But Kimalia is only a first year so she wouldn't know any of the old professors.

"Well... we can start with Lafay I guess." Because potions was one of the first classes. What to say. Nika's eyes lingered over to Kimalia's slytherin badge. Well she didn't want to offend Kimalia besides Lafay is her head of house. So Nika would have to choose her words wisely while talking to the snake. "She's not the erm-" How to say this... "friendliest of the professors." Nika quickly glanced over her shoulder to make sure the evil dragon lady professor wasn't behind her. "She is really.... strict." And mean. "Not very fun either..." Okay and that's all she could say without completely bashing her. "But she does know what she's doing..." She said trying to cover her earlier statements.

Moving on.... "Then there's that new runes teacher." The weird one from the ministry. "He can't speak english." Nika had learned a few phrases from him in his whatever language. "I couldn't understand a word he said!" His accent is heavy. "The Viking thing was pretty cool. He promised me that he would get rid of my beard for me, but then he left after getting this mysterious owl?" That was not nice! When you put a beard on a student and promise to take it off of them at the end of class you should keep your promise. Poor Nika had to find an older student to get rid of that hideous thing for her. Luckily for her she isn't planning on growing any facial hair any time soon.

Now to the next one. "Shaw." Not Mister Shaw. Not Professor Shaw. Not even Shaw Sir. No. It's Shaw. Just Shaw. Chainsaw Shaw. Otherwise known as Chainshaw. "He is mental." Insane even. "He's mad. Completely bonkers!" Really a chainsaw to class?! Do you really want to kill half your students. Even though it was fun being on "Team Shaw" while coming up with spells for the end part of class the guy is still creepy. "I think he's raising a chainsaw army underneath our noses." Why else would he talk about chainsaws? Ugh. Shiver. Chainsaws are bad.

"I guess I could go on forever talking about the professors. But what do you think about them?" She didn't want to have to continue. If she did they might be standing in the bathroom for centuries. Nika just had so much to say.

"Aw, that's a pity. Can't you talk to whoever that is so you could patch things up?" she asked, worried. Amy seemed such a sweet person, it was kinda hard to believe that she would ever argue with anyone, if that was what happened. Brielle wanted to ask more about it, but asking would have been a bit rude, and besides, she had said her opinion already... and that was more than enough. "Wow! So you act?" Brielle asked enthusiastically, she loved watching any form of drama and theater, and it would have been awesome watching Amy.

Serena opened the door to find a large bathroom "finally I found it!" she thought to herself. After using the restroom she walked up to the many mirrors to fix her hair. Serena was a normal, pretty and small child. She didn't know why she still didn't have any friends yet

Uh, no. He punched me in the face, thus, I can never forgive him, Amy nodded, Amy grinned at her, she loved a good argument but the whole "HENDRICKS I HATE YOU" thing was getting annoying. Even more than the WHITE WITCH [RUUUUNNNNNNNN]. Yeah, that annoying, yep Amy grinned at her, love it, too much my ma says. I say otherwise, she grinned, do you?

"Professor Lafay does seem intimidating," Kimalia replied. "The first lesson she charmed a boy's hands off, all because he didn't want to summon his ingredients over!" Although she did have a point, and the boy was being a little snappy.. Oh well, at least she gave him his hands back.

Kimalia was astonished that one professor left without removing the curses he put on his own students. "Really?! I mean, even Professor Lafay would've removed the beard before leaving but wow.."

"Well.." She didn't have anything to say about Shaw since she hasn't met him yet, then there was one teacher that seem to make the class kind of fun.. But she won't spoil that one for a while. "I thought that History of Magic party was kind of cool, and the other professor who-" Oh she almost spilled the beans there. "And well, every other teacher seems to be pretty ordinary."

"Say, have you been to the kitchens lately?" Kimalia asked. "Not only the best sweets, but I've heard about this one group that's suppose to help us with our D.A.D.A assignments might be forming." Perhaps this was meant to be a secret, since the one girl she heard it from only talked about asking for permission.. But she did say it would start regardless, so no harm done here.

Oh, Lafay is more than intimidating. But Nika didn't want to say anything else to Kimalia about that. She didn't want the slytherin getting mad that Nika was talking badly about her head of house. Maybe that's why a lot of the slytherin are really mean to her. It's because Lafay has put some sort of charm on them. Hmmm that would explain so much.

"Yeah that weird accent guy was interesting, but I still can't believe he didn't change our clothes back!" Ugh. Rude. You can't just leave your class looking like vikings. Especially when vikings are now really nonexistent.

"Yeah I liked History of Magic!" She said sounding a bit surprised at her own statement. Normally she thought the class was very, very boring, but after the first lesson was a party she couldn't really bash the subject anymore. "Last term wasn't very fun." Luckily there is a new party professor this term!! "I hope the next class is just as fun too!" Maybe the professor had the party so that they would become enthusiastic about the subject and then she'd bring on the boring stuff... hopefully not.

The "other professor who--"? Huh? What? "The other professor who-huh?" That didn't make any sense at all. Even in Nika's mind. The other professor who...? Who what? Maybe she wasn't supposed to know? Alright Kimalia whatever floats your boat.

"No, I haven't" She admitted with a blush. Out of all of Hogwarts she hadn't visited the kitchens yet. "Really?! Oh I want to join! I'm doing it, but it's such hard work!!" She said nodding her head. "Do you know who's in charge?"

Kimalia merely smiled innocently when she heard Nika try to question what she almost slipped. "Mm, I'm not sure exactly who's in charge, but if you know Aurora, you could ask her about it." Yep, that seemed right.

"Whoa, well now I kinda understand why you don't like him that much," Brielle said, thoughtfully. She had never been punched by a boy yet, though, but she was pretty sure she would have reacted just as Amy did. "Acting? Yes, I do. I've never tried it though, but when those people get on stage, its just amazing. Have you started your DADA Homework, by the way?"
